If.... you like dark horror. It was an unexpected plot, the characters were not normal, and I thoroughly enjoyed it to the point of not wanting to put my Kindle down. Thrill ride with the author's imagination. Kudos

This was an interesting book. I believed that it was a good read. It was fluid and graphic in its descriptions and the level of supernatural seemed just above believable. I found myself choosing to read this rather than watch TV.

I really enjoyed the setting of Pitchfork County. The characters are compelling and there is a sadness to the story with all the meth addiction present. The gore is intense and very visceral. I will read the rest in the series!
The Dark (Bccb Blue Ribbon Picture Book Awards (Awards)) :: Satin and Pearls (The Virgin Diaries Book 1) :: The Pearl by John Steinbeck (1963-05-03) :: Pearl (Dakotah Treasures #2) :: The Weight of Blood (The Half-Orcs Book 1)

I first encountered this story on JukePop Serials and I was immediately hooked on the unpredictable and violently quirky world of Pitchfork County. I could easily imagine Sam Witt displaying the writing ability to rival any of our great contemporary authors such as King or Rice. This is horror fiction at its finest.

Found this story bloody entertaining. Set in my neck of the woods, it was easy to imagine it. I thought it was uniquely created and would love to see it made into a movie. Freshest idea for a good horror flick in years!
