Great Young Adult novel. Despite the major differences between the 2 main characters: miss cheerleader, popular USA, and gang banger, bad boy-they find similarities together that leads to an unexpected relationship. The plot of this story keeps the reader engaged in the story. I like the chemistry aspect in that the 2 main characters are partnered in a Chemistry class for a project and then there ends up being personal chemistry between them.

On the first day of school in Chemistry, Alex and Brittany look at each other through the eyes of prejudice and stereotype. As the year progresses, they slowly start peeling away the layers of their public persona and begin to see the true person underneath. Mixing their two worlds seemed insurmountable but their strength, determination, and faith in each other overcame the odds.
Awesome book! I cried. I laughed! (the bathroom scene during the wedding had me laughing so hard I was crying) I felt sorrow, pain, and rejection. I was delighted and proud. This book had it all. I would definitely recommend it!

This was definitely an exciting romance drama story, now we meet the youngest brother Luis. I loved Luis, he was one those boys who hungout with the wrong crowd. Nikki was very annoying during the story but I did have a little sympathy for her. Very great read!! I hope she makes another one!!!

I really enjoyed this novel by Simone Elkeles. It was essentially a story of forbidden love, an almost epic romance, but put into a YA novel. There is the "bad boy" Alex, who lives in a lower income area and is a member of a gang. He has his issues in his life, but has a tough/bad reputation at school. Then, there is the "Golden Girl" Brittany, who seems to have the perfect life, but really, she doesn't. And, unlike some girls in her positions, she is not spoiled or self-centered. Of course, they are made for each other.
I am a sucker for these kind of stories, loving Veronica Mars and Logan Echols kind of pairings (from the TV show Veronica Mars). So, even though it has a fairly predictable plot, if it's what you want to read, pick this up!
The characters are really well done, in my opinion. I do not personally know any Spanish speaking gang members, but I do know that some of the Spanish in the book should not be repeated in a polite setting (so, there is a feeling of realism in the book). I thought both Alex and Brittany were very well-developed characters who grew with each other in the book.
The writing style is easy to read and very engaging. I picked up the book and could not put it down, finishing it in one night.
There are some sad/hard/slightly graphic parts to read in the book, but it is expected. I had fairly high expectations for this book, having read Leaving Paradise, and felt they were exceeded. While it is not an original idea, I loved it and would recommend it to anyone wanting to read a very well done teen romance.

This book was simply AWESOME. The characters were well-developed, the conflict was intriguing, the plot was intense, and the romance was well-reasoned. Nothing weird happened, because you once it happened, your sub-conscious mind was like, "well of that would happen," and then you'd just love the book even more. If you're a guy, then yes this book is still for you. I'm a teenage guy, and I loved this book!! (look at the first sentence of this review) and also it mixed many human weaknesses and prejudices well into the story and made this book even more of a page turner. All in all, 5 STARS!!!!

You'll immediately fall in love with the characters. I read this book in one night, then downloaded the 'sequels '. It's the ultimate bad boy fantasy. It gets your blood pumping and heart racing with every detail. There is a little Spanish mixed into the story, some of it easily interpreted some I had to look up. But its full of teenage angst, love, and lust. Definitely worth the read!!

These books seemed like they were geared more towards teenagers, especially considering the main characters were in high school. But I am in my late 20's and I absolutely loved this book, and its sequels for that matter. Most of the subject matter everyone can relate to, and these books prove that there can always be a good outcome to any situation if you want it badly enough and are willing to fight for it.

I'd recommend this book series to the readers that love a sexy, heart throbbing, gut wrenching(in a good way) romance that has a bit of action and conflict. It's perfect. It's helped me re-open my eyes to my own marriage. These books and I seem to share a bond. Haha

I gave Perfect Chemistry a five star rating because I could not put It Down for Four days. It has intriguing twists and turns. The characters actions gave me butterflies in my stomach. It felt like the whole time I read it I was there in the world that Simone Elkeles wrote. She wrote the story with so much feeling and so much wonder. At parts there were some high emotion but at the end I wanted to reread it. It was just that good. I didn't know what to expect when I started to read it but after I read a couple off the chapters I felt like this is how a book should be. Know I have set a high standard for the books, I read to be like this one and involve and intrigue and wonder.

This book is awesome! Simone Elkeles writes some fantastic teen romance books. Right now, I've only read 2 of her books one being Leaving Paradise. Next, I'm going to read the sequel to it which is Return to Paradise. These are great books, also, but go for those AFTER you read Perfect Chemistry. Perfect Chemistry is probably one of the best books out there. Seriously, it's that good. I LOVE it! Perfect Chemistry also has a few sequels, but they are books about Alex's brothers finding true love. (Alex is one of the main characters in Perfect Chemistry, but you should have found that out on your own!) Honestly, these books are wonderful... you have to read them.

PERFECT CHEMISTRY is one of my favorite series and CHAIN REACTION has become a favorite among favorites. I love how Simone wrapped up this trilogy and her take on the "good" brother. The story of Nikki and Luis is compelling and satisfying. I can't wait to see what Simone does next!

I recommend this book to EVERYONE! It was literally one of the best books I have ever read. I'm soo happy I discovered this book because it not only made me laugh and cry uncontrollably but also taught me a lesson of love, loyalty, and standing up for what you think is right even though it may result in enemy's and broken friendships. It also reminded me of something we get told over and over and over again...to not judge people by the way they look or what their reputation is because usually it's all a lie. This book is just another great example of that. I hope you all enjoy this book as much as I did! Happy reading(:

The description of the book is not that great, but I got it anyways. And when I started to read this book I couldn't put it down for nothing. Every turn of the page I was wondering what was going to happen next! Can't wait to get the second book. Read this book and you will get hooked!!! Perfect Chemistry is, well their isn't a word tell how great, amazing, and wonderful this book is!!!

I bought this book because of the reviews on the store.com.
The girl is white, the guy Mexican, and the background is gang wars and what not. There is one thing I did not manage to understand: even with so much activities in the lives of the protagonists they manage to get admitted to University. When did they have time to study?
Another issue that cropped up while reading, I thought that I could read a teen romance, but after more than half the book it started tiring me and I closed it.
Buy this at your own risk.

This is my favorite book series. I love Simone Elkeles, she is my favorite writer. I love all of her books, but this series is amazing. It is a lot like the first two but from a different brothers perspective. I love reading these books. Everyone needs to read them.

Simone's characters are easily relatable and her story timeless. Though written for teens, the book will resonate with an older crowd that still recalls their own stumbles and successes from their youth.

This is one serries that I really like and worried the following books would lose something but they impressed me a lot. This one is just as good as the first one. Would highly recomend for mid to older teens due to the gang related content.

I liked the story. the plot, the characters. This is the typical bad boy who likes someone out of his "range", but they like each other and they go against everything they ever thought, and they win in the end.

Really enjoyed the storyline, found the characters to be believeable and well-developed. Would probably recommend 15+ based on some of the language and relationship stuff. Will definitely be checking to see if this author has anything else out!

White rich perfect girl and tough badboy, their fronts maybe different but they share something that changes them and makes tthem compatible as they go through life. I enjoy reading where people try stand up for their own and taking the risks with that decision. In life, most of us wouldn't do that because we are afraid of what would be the outcome. We'd rather be in the norm to be safe.

Amazing ending to the Perfect Chemistry novels. Freaking loved it just because I loved the little spanish conversations they would have sometimes or spew some spanish words around since I'm mexican but I really did love these books and this one especially well Perfect Chemistry would be my favorite out of the three. Really recommend them.

This is book three in the Perfect Chemistry series. This book follows Luis Fuentes. He is the brother of Alex Fuentes and Carlos Fuentes that we read about in book 1 and 2. Luis is the good boy of the family. He is athletic and smart. He takes school seriously and wants to go to college and become something for himself. He falls for a girl who just got out of a bad relationship. Luis is the funny brother. He loves to laugh and joke but really wants to become something great. He pursues Nikki Cruz and eventually wins.
So much drama happened in this series and when I got to this book it all seemed pretty similar. I didn’t love it and I didn’t hate it either. I felt like I read this book two times already and just changed the brother’s name and the love interest. With all that being said I did enjoy this series. However, I don’t think I will be continuing on with it. I’ve had enough of the Fuentes family. 3.5 stars.

So I originally saw this book lying in my theater class one day and quickly read the back of it but somehow forgot all about it. Well I came across it again on the store, bought it for my Kindle and was immediately hooked. I love the concept of the story, I love how well Brittany and Alex work together. The romance was beautiful as well as the reality of their situation, with Brittany feeling so unappreciated and Alex being so caught up in his gang life. This was a great story, one of my favorites and I'd definitely recommend it to others. Absolutely.
