A different entry to the wolf/human interface. Well written and contains a lot of sizzle. It is good to see a couple that usually discusses their future needs in which the woman can use her brain for the good,of the community

Kimber writes a good story but the theme carried predictably thru this one as it did last one. The circumstances changed but the path didn't. I will probably read the whole series just to see where this goes.

After reading this book I jumped right into books two and three-it's that good. And, amazingly, book two is even better than this one. But each book introduces the lead character for the next book, and Kimberly White does that as well or better than just about anyone.
Laura Prince is a biology student working in the field with Professor Byron Flood to study chronic wasting disease. While tracking a radio transmission, she spots a black wolf, extinct in their part of Michigan. Professor Flood fires a warning shot at it, then claims it was only a coyote. But when Laura makes a trip to town for supplies, she meets Malcolm Devane, and notices he has the same eyes as the wolf. It's like catnip for a biologist. Unfortunately, Flood's intent toward Mal is much more sinister.
A Science Fiction / Paranormal Romance (Six Saviors Series Book 1) :: A Paranormal Romance Serial (Alpha Seekers Book 1) :: Redemption of a Wolf (Red Dead Mayhem Book 4) :: Daywalker's Stone (Second Sight Book 1) - Paranormal Romance :: Carnage (Whispers From the Bayou Book 1)

This book is a wonderful sequel to the "Claimed by the Alpha" Series and is a bridge to the following "Wild Lakes Wolves" series. If you haven't read the "Claimed" series yet, do it! Malcolm "Mal" Danvers was introduced in the "Claimed" series I just mentioned and I was glad Kimber let us know what happened to him. As with the "Claimed" series, this book hooked me from the very beginning and didn't let me go until the very end. The physical and emotional chemistry and connection between Mal and Laura (Prince) is hot and sweet at the same time. I was delighted to watch Laura stand up to Mal and the two of them work together to overcome the obstacles in their way. There was one scene that made me sob, it was so touching. Kimber's characters are so vivid and "real" that reading her books is like watching a movie in your head. Another job very well done, Kimber, and I really look forward to the next book in the "Wild Lakes" series!

Review for ROGUE ALPHA
This was a gift for an honest review
Laura is a student. While tracking tagged fawns, she encounters a large black wolf. But this wolf is not like what she thought to come across. There seems to be a connection between them and it becomes apparent when the wolf allows her to touch him. Then her Professor tries to shoot it and tell her it was a coyote. When she meets a man at the general store, there again seems to be a connection, but she has never met Mal Devane before, so how could there be. When she is attacked by her professor, she is rescued by the black wolf. She is now convinced things are not what they seem…and she would be correct. Laura finally learns the truth about Mal…he is a werewolf. She also learns they are fated mates and that is only going to increase the danger that surrounds them. Will these two be able to confront and defeat the danger that is stalking them…or will they becomes its victims ??

This was an amazing read. The author takes you inside the book with the descriptions and the feelings of all the characters involved. I would highly recommend this book to anyone. I look forward to reading the rest of this series.

I loved "Rogue Alpha", the first book in the new "Wild Lake Wolves Series". It is about Mal, an alpha wolf shifter who was cast out of his old pack at the end of the previous series. That old pack does not play at all into this story. The story starts out with Research Assistant, Laura Prince, in Manistee Park - a forest in lower western Michigan. She is helping in studying the deer population in the forest and why they are dying. While checking out one of their specimens, she is approached by a large, beautiful black wolf with "piercing gold eyes". The wolf does not attack and even allows her to pet him. For some reason she feels really drawn to him.

Kimber White reveals the story of Mal and Laura from the human standpoint entering into the werewolf mate's relationship with sharp clarity, emotional attachment, and a wicked powerful storyline that keeps you reading from moment to moment hoping for an incredible ending, which White delivers.

So love this author's writing style and will enjoy reading more of her books.

This book was a free read which I thoroughly enjoyed. It is intended for mature audiences only.

Rogue alpha werewolf looking to get back in his pack by killing another alpha bent on destroying his old pack. He didn't see finding his mate. College student studying the deer in Michigan runs into a black wolf in the woods, instead of running away she is drawn to it. They is a lot of action in this book. Very strong connection between the hero and heroin they save each other. Lots of steamy love sceens. I really liked this book. Good book for lovers of shifters or paranormal romance.

3.5 Stars, Great start to a Shifter Series. Interesting storyline with believable, distinct characters. This is a stand-alone, no cliff-hanger ending.

There are several unanswered questions and maybe as the series progresses they will be answered. For example, what is the wasting disease killing the deer?

I may re-read this story and look forward to other works by this author.

Good book, characters well developed and the story kept my interest, but it was too short. It builds up to the big alpha fight and.....nothing. It's over and the reader is left with the conclusion. Would I read more like this? Yes, if I wanted a fast, short story, but it could have been so much more.

An intelligent female who is truly independent who manages to fall in love, without being silly and melodramatic, is a rare read. Loved the paranormal aspect to this book. To take this book over the top, the author should have included the H perspective. Even so, this is still an incredible read and will read the other books in the series.

Love the book. It is different from the others, keep me on the edge of my seat, the drama, suspance and mystery. I like how the bad guys got there's, and the other bad guys turn good guys, went. Will I not one to do spoilers so pick up a copy and a cup of your favorite drink, and turn the world off. So you don't miss anything.

The story flowed easily and it was worth getting to know the characters. I love shifter stories and root for the good guys and/or the good ladies. Mal and Laura went through a lot and were able to accomplish their goal. To find out what that goal was, you'll need to read the book. Enjoy!.

Malcolm Devaney has a suicidal goal to accomplish in order to redeem himself. Laura Prince is an undergraduate student on a summer internship who ends up with an aggressive professor and on the run for her life. I enjoyed the book and will read the series. Lots of action, lots of sex, and HEA. No cliffhanger.
