I highly recommend this book! It was a beautiful love story and I loved the characters. I hope this author will write stories of the other characters, Lore, Enthralll, and especially Destroy. To the author: I loved your story I do a lot of reading to pass the time. I live and care for my 83year old mother, there isn't much time for anything else in my life so I escape into my books. Thank you.

Definetly a top read on my faves list. I instantly wanted to read whatever book two is, but i supoose its still being written? If anyone could direct/inform me thatd b lovely...
Carnage is a perfect love triangle and fantasy story, very well written (except for the esily ignorable fact that some language would never really be used (for example, a young woman of respectable status and education in the early 1900s would never say "fuck/shit, you scared the bejessus outta me".... I laughed way too much at that, but let it go bcz of the characters).
Loved it! Gonna make my husband read it now....

Something about the cover photo and tittle made me choose this book..I don't give 5 stars often. But I Absofuckinglutely loved this story. Even if I never read another book by this author(but I plan too..actually immediately after writing this review... if my life lets me.), I will forever be glad THIS was a book I read.

I recommend this book to anyone. Not just romance lovers. I Even lost a couple hours sleep because I couldn't put it down. There is an excellent plot and so many lovable characters who deserve their own love story. I know Destroy has his own already and I can't wait to dive back into this wonderful reality once more! ?

Loved everything about the book. I love it when a story makes me cry, laugh, and holds your attention from beginning to end. It has everything you want in a romance about paranormal and you won't be disappointed in any way? Waiting anxiously for the next book in the series and definitely a must buy.

Absolutely one of the best books I have read. Sucks you in and you enjoy the ride to the end.. You laugh, you cry, you enjoy the entire book and you are sad when it is at the end. I love the world that is Whispers! Extremely well written and well thought out. Bravo and hope more is to come soon!

Originally got this book because of a recommendation from Bookbub & glad I did. The story puts a different spin on 'monsters' (which many of us prefer!!); the typical mythos is taken & tweaked enough to keep one intrigued. It has both action & romance; you want to know what happens next & to/for whom.

This book surprised me. The setting the story line and characters all surprised me in a good way. It was very original, and not just the same old, same old cookie cutter story. It was sweet, and made you want to go there. Very good book. Loved it!

New to this author but not story line
Very interesting spin on something familiar with and love the twist and turns and introduction to what I hope is a very long series of characters that made me laugh and remind me of the hope of love and humanity.
Will be stalking and behaving like Destory while waiting for two and don't know who's story I want more Murder, Lore or Enthrall but Murder is my new book bae and can't wait to learn more about the people of the Whispers.
Reminds me of Shelly Laurenston, Nalini Singh and Kresley Cole and I pray this series is just is long if not longer!

I really enjoyed the book, there were a few things that seemed a little too easy and I can't say it had me hooked. There wasn't much conflict in most of the book and I was just as bored as the protagonist was while waiting. But overall it was still good.

I throughly enjoyed this story. I eagerly await the future books. Looking forward to the stories about how Enthrall, Destroy, Murder, Lore and the dragon find their loves. I have purchased the first book in her "Avaleigh's Boys" series, and placed the other four books on my wish list for future purchase.

This was my first time reading this author and likely my last. The quality of the writing was severely lacking. First, the characters were thinly drawn. It felt like bringinng Beauty and the Beast literally into the story was a shortcut to the reader to infer that Carolena and Carnage with just like that characters so that then the author didn't have to go to the effort to create well drawn characters whose actions were believable. Why would Carolena, who was depicted as strong and smart, have insta-love for a creature she couldn't communicate with so knew next to nothing about him? The secondary characters were also weak, with the exception of Destroy (and I assumed that was because the author was setting him up as the romantic lead in the next book). The dad was a cartoonish bad guy figure.
Second, the world building was thin. She changed the usual genre understanding of gargoyles and vampires (ie not really stone, doesn't need a lot of blood), but didn't really take this new characterization anywhere. There were lots of other types of beings mentioned, but we never found out what they were, what their powers were, and how this group of misfits all got along.
Lastly, it was seriously light on the heat factor, adding to my growing feeling as I read this book that maybe this was directed at teen readers and maybe I wasn't the target audience.
Net, I thought this was a first time author book by the time I was finished, but when I got to the end, I found out that this author has been published before.

Enjoyed Carnage’s story and his journey to find happiness. This is a well written story about mythical characters and a human who finds romance in an unlikely place. Readers will find it difficult to put this book down.

Caroleena was kidnapped by a skunk of a human but rescued by Carnage, a gargoyle. I highly enjoyed this story and hope other's will as well. I look forward to reading more about the creatures who live in Whispers.

I don't typically write reviews (bad or good) but wow. This was...I wish I'd been warned. I read through the whole book waiting for it to get better, but should've just cut my losses once I realized how awkward it was. The writing was stunted and weird, the characters fall in love despite them never being around each other and they're extremely juvenile in their interactions. It was cringey.

This is different take on supernatural about you come to love the characters of Whispers. I wasn't even sure I'd like this book but the story pulls you in. Looking forward to reading more in this series.

This was the perfect break from all the sex driven romance I've been reading. The parallel to Beauty and the Beast was lovely. How all the males wound up happy and learning about friendship was nice. Can't wait to read more!!

Not well written at all. You can really tell this was a self published book. This author needs an editor. Bad. And a thesaurus. The same words/phrases were used so frequently that it would endanger lives to make it a drinking game.
