I absolutely loved this book. It was engaging, interesting and easy to read. I felt like I was a part of all the fun of the daily show and interesting characters without having to do any work. If you love the daily show it is an absolutely fascinating read. A few controversies were glossed over and I would have liked to learn more but overall I loved learning about all the characters. I loved the format with quotes from each relevant character professing the plot. Love love love this book (and the whole daily show!)

This is a wonderful book, done in the exact right way. I love the Daily Show, and this was the best possible way to explain itself. It is a narrative of the show's life, from the viewpoint of the people involved. Since I watched most of the shows, I could hear each voice in my mind as I read it. What an interesting story! There is even commentary from people who didn't like the show, which adds more flavor to this history. I cannot recommend it enough!

Wonderful to read of all that went into making TDS with JS what it became and I'm NOT the in the demographic of 20-35 year olds!! Really miss JS and but, gratefully, have found some very good replacements.

I watched this show for years. Broke my heart when Jon Stewart left the show. What I wouldn't give to hear him again with all the nuttiness going on now in our country. This book was so very interesting that I recommend it to all. And hopefully he will return to TV with his fairness. Doesn't mind which party -- he dishes it to both.

The book is a chronological collection of short quotes by and about people involved with the show from its inception, and provides fairly intimate insight into the working of the show and the hopes and egos of the people involved. Quite brilliant and interesting if that's what you're looking for.

I have some experience in another medium and some of the stories are very similar. Read this for a look into Stewart's gestalt and the people who worked for him. I will say he's in, and I was, in a very difficult and wonderful business.

I am currently reading this book and enjoying the walk down memory lane. The approach is very novel, have not seen anything like it before. It reads like an interview more than a novel. It made me miss Jon Stewart!

Jon Stewart and his writers/producers/comedic staff explain the underpinnings of the Daily Show from inception to the day Jon left (presumably, I haven't finished it yet). GREAT choice for any true Daily Show fan.

Great behind the scenes information on the effort and energy it takes to make something amazing. I didn't realize there was as much tension and pressure as there was to produce this show. Really great book.

Wonderful collection of stories told by Jon, the reporters, the staff and sometimes even the guests that Jon skewered on the show. The question I have is did Jon have an eye for talent or did he have the work ethic to make these people succeed.

Very informative and fascinating history of the show, as told by the talent, guests, producers, staff, and contributors. If you're a fan as I am, you'll find it to be a lively and well-told story of this American treasure, perhaps the most influential late-night show on American TV. Absolutely recommended!

A great recount of the development of one the greatest TV shows of all time. The oral history aspect brings it all to life, as if you're hanging with the cast and crew telling old war stories, with love.

I really enjoyed reading this and getting a behind the scenes look at the Daily Show as told by everyone who made it possible. I've been an avid watcher since the beginning. There were do many "Oh I remember that!" moments while reading it. A must read for any fan of the show.
