So much about this amazing book. Within the first few chapters I was laughing, crying, screaming, and gnawing at my lip. I was at the edge of my seat so much, I think I fell lol. It was just perfect. I am so sad to see this series end, but I'm happy with the ending and look forward to Annette next book.

Like the previous four books, I was so captured by the story and it's characters that i finished this book in a day. However, the ending threw my for a loop (not a good one) and i literally sat in bed unable to sleep and finally got up to write this review.
The story picks up right where it left off in book 4 and doesn't miss a beat. The reader is given in introduction to the underworld and each member of the Asphodel Draconians. However, the author doesn't spend too much time on them, thus allowing the reader to experience the good stuff - aka action and romance.
I was happy to finally learn more about Lyre in this book. His character definitely takes on a whole new look that is both surprising and just... well... awesome. It made me love him even more as he expanded from a fun loving playboy into someone who is dark with heavy burdens that he bears with strength and an unrelenting will to keep moving on (with a sexy smile on his face of course). He is still the same, but also so much more.
-spoiler-
Now Ash and Piper. This is where things get tricky. Yes, there are some WONDERFULLY steamy moments, as well as the ones that are so sweet you just smile like a retard and hope no one notices. They also see them grow so much stronger as a couple and individually. Piper really discovers what it means to be strong of heart and mind, and they both learn what it is to trust the others strength and ability to fight together as one, both literally and metaphorically. However, after all of that talk about how much they love other, after Ash says Piper is his "Heart and soul", after he says he "doesn't want to belong to anyone" but Piper, and after Piper growls "your mine" all sexy and shaded like, they literally leave their relationship to chance and admit that they are destined to walk different paths. If that isn't anti-happily ever after I don't know what is. What happened to throwing caution into the wind, making your own rules, and fighting for love? Ash acts like he's fine with Piper leaving and Piper acts like its ok ash might have Taroth babies with some Draconian woman in the future. I had been hoping Annette Marie would form some cool union between the fact that they both descended from Dragons and could either have an powerful hybrid or that the lines were similar enough that the child inherited primarily Taroth traits. But no, they basically doomed their relationship to fail.
One a side note, I would have like to know more about how Piper would embrace her Ryujin kin and solve the still present problems with the gaians and Daemons on earth. There are so many unanswered questions.
Over all I went from having this be my favorite series of all time (and i've read HUNDREDS of books) to being utterly disappointed, sad, and feeling like there just needs to be MORE to an unfinished story.

The ending of this book and the series was completely disappointing. I question the time I put into reading this series. Piper and Ash deciding to have a casual maybe hook up relationship at the end was most unexpected.
While I understand they are creatures of different worlds, love should have been enough to have thwn start anew. Piper accepting he would hook up with a Draconian woman to have children later was gross.
I am happy Lyre is going to get his own book, I'm just hoping for the best.

Loved this series. I've been following it since the release of book one. Waiting for each new book on pins and needles. I loved Ash and Pipers relationship..they fought so hard for each other. Then the last 2% of this book happened. I am so disappointed in the way ended. You don't fight that hard and save someone that many times just to "live separate lives and wait for the day when he will have to make babies with another draconian". Who would want to stay with someone if you know it won't last? Ash didn't even seem to really care. How can you not care after fighting and saving this chick for the first 4 books? I just never imagined such an inconclusive ending.

This book is disappointment incarnate. If I could recommend one course of actions to readers of this series, it would be to quit at book 3 because everything starts falling apart after that. It seems like Marie might have developed writer's fatigue as her tight plots, unique characters, and high stakes start crumbling in #4 and they DO NOT IMPROVE in this last installment.
The stakes are so high, her attempts to further increase them come off as "jumping the shark". We waste a lot of time with a side plot that is ultimately meaningless (also boring). There was a lot we could have explored that was already established. I'd have taken a Piper training montage or a clip of Ash regaining control or an emotional set of scene revealing more of Lyre's back story or I would have even accepted kind of emotional connection with Seiya, the world's most pointless character. Since she isn't going anywhere, we might as well make some kind of connection with her.
What would have been most interesting and made the most sense is a deeper exploration of the Sahar, an element that's been around since the first book and is maybe the single most unknown interesting factor in these books. Instead information about the Sahar, how it functions, it's larger goals, and it's future are turned into a minor sub plot instead of a major emotional and impactful arc. I really hated how this was kind of brushed to the side instead of highlighted.
And if you were here for the romance presented in these books, abandon all hope here. Ash and Piper's relationship becomes a stunted shriveled pathetic thing. Boring and unsatisfying. I actually found myself desperately wishing for a Lyre/Piper hook up just so there would be some kind of development happening since Ash is M.I.A. in these books. Really Ash has been M.I.A. in these books since the second one. He never comes back to full strength and Marie doesn't take opportunities to either help build him back or give him a meaningful new role. He's a broken protector, too unavailable to Piper to be really interesting even if I admire Piper's commitment to him.
Characters whose major face off has been built up for books are quick and disappointing. Both Samual and Mysis underwhelm.
There are so many new characters introduced in this book that have no personality. I don't care and I'm not about to start caring about all these bland beings I met in the last book. They don't breathe new life or more complex relationships, they just take up dead air space while it seems like Marie struggles to pull some adventure together. What's most frustrating about her struggle to tell a good story is that she set herself up for success. There's soooooo much she could have done, it makes what's probably a middling story into a deep disappointment. Marie is a great writer with wonderful instincts. I'm assuming the deadlines got to her and I'm reading through her fatigue in these last books. It's a shame.
I'm going to read the last book because I've often been interested in Lyre and Ash's perspectives, but I really do recommend skipping from book three right over to book 6 (and only hit up 6 if you want to revisit some scenes from another perspective). Anything you're imagining happening to these characters is 1000 times more interesting and gratifying that what's actually written.

This was my favorite book in the Steel & Stone series and a great finale. While it never bothered me too much there was a definite trend over the course of the series of Piper being kidnapped and having to escape over and over. I loved that this book broke that trend and stood on its own in the way the other books hadn't.
I liked that they took a break for a portion of the book from the constant conflict of warring castes and Gaians and immersed us in the history of the Draconians and the origin story of the great dragons. It was also nice to see Piper coming into her powers separate from the Sahar for a good amount of the book.
The final war between the Draconians, Reapers, Ra, and Gaians was of course a necessary conclusion for the series, but again I like that the book didn't focus singularly on that the entire time.
I loved how Ash and Pipers individual dragon caste abilities, passed down by the 2 Great Dragons, combined to take down Samael in the end. While individually not strong enough to take him down, Ash's brute strength and Pipers extrasensory perception were both necessary to combine and defeat him. It was not only poetic for their relationship but also for the mythos of dragon kin.
The finale was pretty satisfying and I guess the best we could have hoped for. Piper and Ash were never meant to ride of peacefully together into the sunset, but I liked that even though their individual futures weren't certain, there was a strong resolve that they would always be together in the end.
However unlikely it is, wouldn't it be cool if Ash and Piper somehow had a child that was a visible hybrid of Draconian and Ryujin? A literal melding of the 2 great dragons...

The ending??? Gahh!!!!! (Insert eye roll here). This was a long read. As far as the series went there were a few issues I had. One the age difference between Piper and Ash. I’d have like Piper a little older. Two, sex. The one sex scene in the whole series felt like one of those movies where you know what’s happening but the camera pans to the window where the curtains are fluttering. It felt that was in this book two when things started heating up. (Pan camera) but nope something else happened and the camera jerks back to two tangled up characters. The ending just irked me. It sounds all sweet and everything but it feels like Ash knows they’re not forever and they’re going their separate ways yet are still together. We all know those relationships are meant to last.

I have just finished reading Unleash the Storm, book 5 in the Steel and Stone series by Annette Marie and I must declare I am absolutely and utterly speechless. 33 chapters of adrenaline fueled, heart thumping and mind blowing action ever written. The story picks up where we left off in Reap the Shadows. No messing about. There is no slacking off with the characters. They retain all their quirks and uniqueness. The detailed description of the different worlds is so well portrayed and most importantly consistent. Imagine closing your eyes and entering a room in your own home for possibly the millionth time, you know exactly what you will see when your eyes open because of the familiarity of it all. That is how it feels, entering the Overworld, or the Underworld or heck even Earth, through the authors imagination, because it is like a vivid, colourful movie that has been burned into your brain. There were times when I literally sobbed and had to stop reading for a while until I could compose myself. I experienced all the joy and heartwrenching sorrow as if I was part of it. It was a rollercoaster of emotions. This is the last book in this magnificent series with a fitting end, although I must admit I was not sure which way the author would have gone with it. I am positive that although Ash and Piper's story has been told, it is not truly the end and hopefully we will meet up with them again, obviously taking more of a sideline role.
I cannot recommend this series enough, not just to lovers of the paranormal genre, but to all bookreaders in general. For the sake of repeating myself, do yourselves a favour and read this series from Book 1. You will have no regrets. I was kindly given an ARC of this book in return for an honest review.

I absolutely adored this whole series and this book was a fantastic conclusion to it. I love the action, the world, and the characters. This was an amazing YA urban fantasy series.
So much happens in this book. Piper has a final standoff with the Sahar, ancient dragons are introduced and Ash has to fight for control of his soul against one of them. To top it all off you have the final standoff between the Draconians and Samael in Asphodel.
I enjoyed the ending and thought it was realistic and respectful and completely agreeable for two creatures with long lifespans. While I would have liked a little more concrete happiness for Ash and Piper, I respected the decision to give them a more realistic ending.
I was even more thrilled to find out that there will be another book in the Steel and Stone universe featuring Lyre...I would love to know more about him.
Overall this was a spectacular conclusion to what has been an amazing YA urban fantasy series. I am truly saddened by the fact that this series is over. Marie does an amazing job writing awesome action scenes and has created both an intriguing world and engaging characters that just suck you right into the story. I loved this series and will definitely check out future books by Annette Marie. This whole series is highly recommended and it is one that I plan on reading again at some point.

This series must be read in order. The first book is Chase The Dark. The second book is Bind The Soul. The third book is Yield The Night. The fourth book is Feed The Flames. The fifth book is Reap The Shadows. This is (unfortunately) the sixth and final book in this series. I can't wait to read more books set in this world!
Piper and her Daemon friends have been through a lot together. With a war raging on Earth between the Ra and Hades families hiding out in the Underworld seems like a good idea... At least until they can figure put what to do next. Being on the run has pushed them all almost to the breaking point but what else can they do? Will they ever find someplace safe for the Draconians? Or will they always be hunted? Are there really "wild" Draconians with a Haven somewhere? Would ex Hades slaves even be welcome there if they did find them? How does she fit into Ashtaroth's life? What is Lyre hiding? Can his past be as dark and twisted as Ash's?
I am very sad this series is over but am glad the writer will be continuing to write about this world! Hopefully our favorite characters will still make guest appearances at least. Can a dual sided Haemon birth a Daemon child? That is a burning question in my mind... Hopefully one day we will find out!

*Review for ARC*
Once again, a wonderful book. I read through this in just over two hours despite the length because I could. not. put. it. down.
Thrilling end of the series with the kind of satisfying wrap up of all of the loose ends that I would expect from this author. One more, the characters are relatable and admirable, you get to learn a bit more about everyone (especially Lyre, finally!), and you fall a little bit more in love with everyone. I am afraid to give away too much so I can't say much more but the ending is satisfying with satisfying surprises and twists and the rest of the book just sucks you in as you get through it. It feels like the author packed two books into this one with so much happening but it isn't hard to follow or overwhelming - just a really good, involving pace.
Another absolute win from Anette Marie. This might be one of my favorite YA series (and I am no longer a YA). You won't regret reading it - seriously.
(especially if you've already read the other four, seriously? Finish it up. Learn about Lyre. Get your loose ends tied up. You are missing out if you don't.)
Possibly the best (or second best, I love the first SO much) book in the series. But all of them are great.

This book was a wild ride. Longest of the series, Unleash the Storm never let up. At one point, I just had to stop and wail "would you give these guys a break Annette Marie?" Ash was awesome as usual, but the really standout character this go round was unquestionably Lyre. That boy has more secrets than a madam. How the author managed to write a character that is both overwhelming secretive and also rock solid and reliable is pretty amazing. All the major storylines were wrapped up while also leaving room for a sequel. (And this whole series just cries out for a sequel.) I would class the ending as HFN and was satisfied with it, if not ecstatic. I know a lot of people were less than happy, but I really think this is more of a pause than a true ending. Overall, highly recommended.

Amazing as usual, but God the ending of this book...After all this time and struggle together, the author couldn't just give them a solid happy ending? It was just...disappointing. Like she was too scared to finally put the story to rest. I feel like the book didn't get the ending it deserved. I'm hoping the author might come back and revisit Ash and Piper when they are a few years older. I mean, how are you going to write 5 books about a couple and not give them a solid ending? Ugh. Kills me. They love each other, but can't really ever be together? Ash will eventually have to make babies with another woman? For all her skills, Piper apparently can find no use for herself in the underworld? None at ALL? So many things left unresolved! I feel like the author didn't really want them to be happy. Which is heartbreaking. Oh well. Here's to holding out hope for the future?

Let me preface this review by stating my qualifications - I have none. I teach high school math and I read at the end of my day as an escape. My primary criteria?? Did the book allow me to escape? Did I get drawn in? In a series, was I breathlessly awaiting the next book, next chapter next moment I could spend reading? That's it... I don't care about character development, realistic whatever, plot whatever.... just calgon take me away!!
Did this series achieve?? Absolutely!! I found myself racing home to keep reading, staying up way to late finishing chapters, becoming way too addicted to this series for my families own good. So yes, I rated it 5 stars because for the 4 days it took me to read 5 books, I was allowed to escape and be transported into the lives of these characters....

Yet another strong installment in the Steel and Stone series. It's amazing to say that after 5 books, there wasn't one book that was disappointing. It's been a year since I started reading this series, and I've often thought about how it would end. The ending managed to bring both surprise and satisfaction--again, not an easy thing to do. All of the aspects that I loved in the previous books were here--the pace, strong character development, story arcs that make sense. However, I did feel like *something* was missing. After thinking about it for a few days, I think that *something* was simply the excitement of what would happen next and the anticipation of the next story. It's sad to say goodbye to Piper and Ash, but hopefully we'll get some updates on their future somehow...

Annette Marie has created an action-packed, gripping, emotional yet satisfying conclusion to this addictive series. Her beautiful writing pulled me into Piper’s magical world, but it is the characters and their authentic, powerful relationships that make me love this series so much.
Piper, Lyre and Ash have grown with each book, where they have travelled the journey together and now have to decide which path their lives will take and whether they will do so together.
I am saddened that this is the last book in the series. I have devoured each book and have grown to love the characters more as I read each one.
Highly recommended for anyone who loves an action-packed, superbly-written urban fantasy with sizzling romance and a kick-ass heroine.

There is nothing worse than reading a series and having a crappy ending!!! What the heck?! You shouldn’t have 5 books of such soul ending love and then at the end the character says ... well, I can’t stay here with you. I have to live my own life. What?!?!? That makes your soul ending love NOT soul ending love. It completely RUINED the series for me.
Other than the horrible ending, I really loved these books and couldn’t put them down...until the end.
I WAS looking forward to reading about Lyre but considering the ending to these five hooks I am on the fence. Nothing worse than loving the books and characters and then you have an ending that is such blah.

The final installment of this series does not disappoint! Without offering any spoilers (SO HARD!!) I have to say that this book offered a few unexpected surprises, and will not disappoint long-time fans of the series. I pretty much no-lifed my way through this book from beginning to end - forgoing sleep to finish up the last few chapters - because I couldn't put it down!
Ash, Piper and Lyre have continued to develop as characters through the series, and all have evolved into really interesting, multi-faceted individuals. We continue to see that growth in this book, as Ash is forced to shoulder a role he never wanted, and secrets are revealed about Lyre's mysterious past. Piper herself is forced examine her own motives and her reliance on the Sahar, when a nearly tragic "surprise" is revealed about its use, and the effect it has on her own burgeoning daemon powers. Piper's relationships with both Ash and Lyre are challenged when an ancient entity from the Draconian's past makes itself known again, challenging whether any of them have the strength to survive.
The only real negative is that the author leaves a few unanswered questions with regards to some of the characters who are less involved in the central plot, which this book focuses on pretty much to the exclusion of all else. (The possible upside of that being, she will choose to address those loose ends in future books set in the Steel & Stone world, which I will very much look forward to reading.)
I am a member of the ARC team, and received an advance reader copy of the book for review.

ARC provided by the author in exchange for an honest review.
To put it in one word, the book was simply ‘enthralling’.
The book was an absolute page-turner. It kept it on the edge of my seat since the very first page. The series bagged the spot in the top 5 of my favourite series list with the very first book. And the subsequent books only made my love for the series grow stronger.
The author spins the tale of different worlds very skilfully. The description of the Underworld and Overworld was far from the clichéd Hell and Heaven that we are used to. The worlds were so carefully crafted and well written that you could picture them clearly in your head, as if they were a part of your city that you have been to a hundred of times. The turn of events had the right pace to it, nothing too fast or slow.
Coming to the characters. Piper, the female lead was a great character. She developed a little in every book of the series. Her character grows stronger with every battle she faces, her spirit never weakening. It is always good to have a vehement and compelling female lead in a story.
Ash is a Draconian, a daemon race (P.S. Did you know that the literal meaning of the word Draconian is extreme and drastic? A fitting name indeed!)
Anything I say about Ash could never be enough to do justice to his aura of power. He stands fierce and unyielding in the face of danger and yet we get to see a gentle side to his demeanour when he deals with Piper. He is a force to be reckoned with.
The wits of the other characters, specifically Lyre, are also a great addition to the story which makes it fun.
I still can’t believe that the series has officially ended. Reading the last chapter, the last page of the book brought upon me a great and tremendous sadness to see it end.
I want more of Piper & Ash. I totally recommend it to all the book lovers out there. Believe me you won’t regret it. It’s simply a bewitching read!
As for me, I’ll be waiting every day, every weak, every Underworld cycle in the hopes of getting more of Ash & Piper.

I love this series and this author. Unleash The Storm does not disappoint.
From the beginning there is non-stop action. I enjoyed this edge of your seat page turner and loved the depth that was brought to new and previously well known characters. I won't go on to many details to prevent spoiling this exciting book, but I love the new dimension given to Lyre.
I will say for this being the end of Ash and Piper I was a little disappointed with the way this wrapped up. It leaves too many loose ends and questions. I look forward to reading some of the follow up spin off novels that will expand this story and world.

This series has been one of my favorites since the first word of the first book. With each new book the plot has taken us deeper into the daemon world and we've gotten to know Piper better as she's learned her new abilities. The action in this book is like nothing I've ever read. It's like The Matrix in words. The plot pulls at your heart strings and makes you scream "NO" and then slowly eases you back before wrenching you in another direction. It is an amazing book, the series is outstanding. 5 stars for Annette Marie''s Steel & Stone series

Piper, Ash & Lyre kicked butt in this series and blew me away with every new task. These books are sinfully good to gorge on and you will because you can't help yourself, every second you read this action packed series is a thrill ride with your stomach lurching and teeth clenching because you can never predict what will happen next.

Such a brilliant series. I got sucked into each book and each character that was introduced. Loved Piper, Ash and Lyre. I'm mixed about the ending in a hopeless romantic so a traveling relationship is hard to fathom. I understand and loved it all the same tho. I was hoping for a solid end but it does not take away from the story and is probably a brilliant end for strong willed characters. Great writing. I just finished and I want to crack open book number one again.

This series was action packed and flowed amazingly. The characters are well written and you really felt like you knew them. I waited for each new book and would reread them. The romance between ash and piper had me begging for more. The ending to this book has semi soured the rest of it for me. Every secret thrill they had and stolen moment accumulated to them ending with a "you have to secure your blood line but maybe we can hook up until then." Wtf???? No no no no no. Left me thinking maybe she should have fallen for Lyre instead. Our maybe that ash and piper find a way to bring the strongest blood line in the under world together with the strongest of the over world. But no they are friends with benefits...maybe.

***I received this ARC in exchange for my review. Thank you, especially to the author and publisher, for giving me an opportunity to review this title.***
THIS IS SUCH a bittersweet moment—it's the end of a era!
In this epic finale of the Steel and Stone series, Annette Marie brings us an explosive and emotional tale of love and vengeance, hope and despair, in a spectacular adrenaline-fueled conclusion with all the elements to be meteoric.
Ms. Marie’s rich use of language easily conjures up vivid imageries of forgotten worlds, especially of a majestic dragon king in an ancient, war-stricken landscape. Just when I thought I understood this richly imagined world, she impressively improves upon the excellent beginning with many new details that has left me, yet again, mesmerized.
Few characters stay with me long beyond the last page, but the ones in this series are stubbornly lingering in my thoughts. They are each compelling in their own unique ways, and their dynamic captures the authentic bonds of friendship so well. Piper—half human, half Ryujin—has come so far from that girl whose only want was to become a Consul. I enjoyed seeing her shed her innocence and transformed into a truly remarkable and fierce character. Lyre—incubus—is sexy re-incarnated. But, hidden behind a constant stream of jokes to keep anyone from looking at him too closely is a man with carefully guarded secrets. Some of those secrets are finally reveled, and they will not disappoint. And then, there is Ash. Sigh…
Ashtaroth (Ash)—draconian, powerful, lethal, and attractive (in a dark and forbidden way)—with stormy, grey eyes that holds so much and reveals too little. Thought to be the last of the Taroth lineage (the most undiluted and powerful of the draconian caste), Ash unwittingly discoveries a past so shocking, it will rock his very world. The revelation is so riveting that it stirs and awakens ancient powers unrivaled, even perhaps, by the Sahar Stone.
The romance between Ash and Piper has been an exquisite slow burn of an unconditional and beautiful love story. Their love continues to be tested in impossible ways that move the love story forward in an uncertain and worrisome manner that kept me anxious.
I’ve really enjoyed this entire series. Each book builds upon the last with new revelations setting the stage for more action-packed surprises. Unleash the Storm is no different. It is an electrifying installment that escalates the struggle between the growing rebels on Earth, the powerful Underworld and Overworld, and pits Ash and Piper against the darkness that threatens to destroy their souls. This conclusion was highly entertaining and I enjoyed it thoroughly.
Now that I’ve reached the end of the Steel and Stone series, I can’t help feel a sudden onset of sadness. On the bright side, though Ash and Piper’s story may have concluded, there is still much more to discover in the Steel and Stone Universe.

In this (sadly) final installment of the Steel& Stone series, the bad guys get their comeuppance, relationships of all kinds are resolved, and Earth is delivered back into the hands of the humans (for the most part). This is a fast paced novel with many action and fight sequences. The only sad thing about it is that he ending is more realistic than I would have liked. There is no fairy tale, happily ever after here. The readers must imagine in their own heads how Piper and Ash's relationship will play out in the future.

Loved, loved, loved it!
Before starting 'Unleash the storm' I didn't know what more there was to add to the story, I thought it'd be the predictable wrap up the lose ends and add a happy ending, but I was wrong!!! Annette Maria is brilliant at drawing you into a world you never want to leave and forcing you to experience all of her characters emotions. I've cried, held my breath and jumped for joy as these characters I've come to love experience passion, joy, defeat and great success. I think Annette Maria did an incredible job of portraying the growth that these young daemons and haemons have gone through. Piper started out a young girl trying to prove herself and grew into a brave young woman who knew exactly what she wants and was willing to pay the price to get it. She became the heroine that every little girl wants to be. Ash grew from a self centered angry daemon into the beloved hero that portrayed strength and confidence, the type of hero that every girl loves. I have absolutely loved reading this series and would recommend it to anyone that wants a fun and exciting series to read. I look forward to more brilliant books by Annette Marie.

Unleash the Storm is electrifying, emotional, intense, raw….
Simply put, genius.
I can’t put my finger on it. It created a feeling in me that I don’t think can ever be recreated. It’s beautiful and awe-inspiring. Annette Marie has created something that transcends any words I can think of. It sucked me back into Piper’s mind from the beginning, spinning a tangled web of story lines that kept me riveted throughout the entire book. My emotions were twisted: I cried, shivered, laughed, and smiled my way through the chapters. It left me feeling emotionally drained. When I finished it, a tremendous sadness came over me, because it was over. It was finally over.
The story starts out with Ash, Piper, and the rescued draconians on the run from Samael in the Underworld. The long journey is taking a toll on all of them, and they are exhausted. But when Piper sees something that could connect to Ash’s mysterious roots, the two of them decide to investigate - alone. As they explore, they accidentally stir up an ancient power, which ends up changing Ash’s future.
Through it all, I felt like I was right there, feeling Piper’s pain, seeing Ash’s beautiful draconian face. I could picture Zwi’s adorable little body, and the fierce elegance of the dragons. I had to fight to read through tears during the emotional scenes, and I held my breath during the mind-blowing fight scenes.
And the ending. It was tear-wrenching, yet I loved it. It left me satisfied, yet it had enough hanging in the air for me to lie awake late at night and just dream about Ash and Piper, staring at the ceiling and smiling.
Well done. These five books will be my favorite series for many, many years to come, and will be reread countless times. I know they will forever hold a special place in my heart.
As I said before… Unleash the Storm is genius.

Unleash the Storm, the final installment in Ash and Piper's story, is another excellent work by Annette Marie. In fact, it may be my favorite of the Steel & Stone series. I loved that I was fully engaged throughout the whole book, even as the plot took twists and turns working its way to conclusion. Though she allowed the characters to evolve, Marie stayed true to the characters she had created throughout the series, and maintained the love I had for how real their journey was conveyed to me as the reader. In the end the series, and this book in particular, was a story of love, loyalty, and friendship. I'm so glad to have been along for the ride. If you're considering the series, I can guarantee you won't regret it!

Horrible ending! After everything they went through for her to just leave, and them not get their "happily ever after" is just messed up. I really liked this series up until the last chapter of book 5. For Piper to be reduced to being a possible "hookup" buddy occasionally until Ash finds whoever he's going to further the draconian race with defeats the purpose of them defeating Samael. May as well have stayed his slaves.

This serious is an incredible new take on the supernatural. Taking legends and folktail, Steel and Storm is an amazing and refreshing new story with plenty of romance, gritty action, and plenty of brain twisters and cunning characters. You won't be disappointed!
