Gifted read for an honest review by Netgalley.
Donna Grant is an amazing storyteller, fantastic fantasy world builder. These stories build on each other and are set in and around Ireland. Because where else would the magical creatures like the Fae, death and the reapers live. Reapers and Death( a real Fae) good guys, Bran oh Bran, serious bad guy and his dark fae! If you love magic, fantasy with a little romance and heat, then you'll love her books. 3.5 stars! Set in Ireland

Beautiful, half-fae Thea feels a connection with her music and she truly has a gift. Eoghan reaches for her music as she plays at the Standing Stones and it pulls him out of the Portal. Both lives are changed drastically as she learns of her mother and he becomes a leader of the Reapers. Together, they will become a strong force against the Dark Fae a support for each other.

Thanks to the publisher and to NetGalley for an ARC; all opinions are my own.

This is part of the Reapers Series. Eoghan is pulled from his place by the music played by Thea a half ling (Elf/Human hybrid) . He’s put in charge of a new group by Death th defeat the enemy but can’t forget about Thea.

Her music can save him and pulls him close. But someone is also after Thea and he doesn’t no who is after her. Her past wil take them on a journey but her music and love will save both of them.

This Reaper series is highly addicting but the books must be read in order. There's my much recap in this one and Is honestly think you'd be lost without the backstory. That being said I enjoyed this one so much. It may be my favorite book so far. Thea's music is pure magic, so much so that it guided and saved Eoghan. Their story is fraught with danger and mystery and suspense but it's also a pretty fabulous love story!

I love this series! I love how complex, involved, and convoluted each story is. This authors ability to build worlds is top notch, and with the quality of writing, it's like watching a movie while reading. I did notice some missing words in sentences, and some misspellings, but nothing too drastic that in any way impaired my reading. Very well done, and thank you for the opportunity to review this gem.

This series just continues to amaze, amuse and frustrate :) It was a great story and a great addition to the the franchise at large. A new group of Reapers!! How brilliant is that? Usaeil looks to be coming close to her just rewards and the whole overall storyline seems to be gearing up for the big finale. Sooo so good.

I do not recommend starting here! Read the others first, or you'll be confused. I liked the plot, but I do think it was weird how no one wanted to rectify the situation once they figured out who was the bad guy.

I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily reviewing.

Loved this addition to the series! Eoghan is trapped in the dark and music is the only thing that leads him back to the real world. The story is fast-paced with lots of drama and suspense. Thea is the light to Eoghan’s dark. The story really drew me and the chemistry is amazing.

Dark Alpha's Hunger is nothing short of amazing!! If you have been reading Donna's Dragon Kings series you will want to read this book of not you might want to at least start with book one, I believe this is book 5 or 6.
Eoghan is back!! Thank goodness! Eoghan was sucked into a different dimension when the reapers battled Bran a while back. Eoghan has a terribly sad past which comes to light in this book.
Thea grew up in an orphanage in Ireland, she visited the portal stones when she was 5 and was drawn to them she vowed then that she would come back one day. Music is her life, she plays the violin as if it's an extension of herself. She feels the pull of the stones one night, plays her violin and something incredible happens, a man's hand them arm appears Thea helps the man out of the light.......little does Thea and Eoghan know their lives are about to change on so many fronts.

We finally get Eoghan's book! Eoghan was trapped in a dark, hell-like place. He heard music and followed it back into the real world.
Thea is an orphan who lived her whole life in a group home. The only thing that helped her survive was music. One of her teachers gave her a violin to try to help her not to be depressed all the time. Now she plays as part of a band.
She has been drawn to a stone circle since she was six. One night something strange happened. A man began to emerge out of a dark portal. She helped pull him out. Then ran when he told her to.
Circumstances and fate once again brought one reaper and one half fae together. She helped him heal from the betrayal and death that happened long ago that made him a reaper. Eoghan described Thea as "the one who’d saved him from the darkness and gave him life."
This book introduces a new cast of characters. Uesail is also included in this story. Bran was talked about but didn't play any significant part in this story. The main theme still followed through the book, but it made a slight detour to include the Queen of the light fae.
I am excited to find out where this story goes next! The reapers are definitely a series that must be read if you are reading about the Dragon Kings!

Finally! That was just AWESOME! I am so happy that Thea was able to music Eoghan back into the fray. And sooooo much information in this one! I am truly ecstatic with this one. I so want to see Usaeil reap the KARMA she so richly deserves! I am such a huge fan! I want to say more but want to keep the spoilers out of it. FANTASTIC! Can’t wait for more!

This is a voluntary review of an advanced copy.

This is book 6 in a series and I had not read any of the previous books. At first it was not easy to understand who all the characters were and how they were connected but as I read, some of the pieces feel together. There are still some parts that I just didn't get but overall the story was interesting and suspenseful.

Thea helps Eoghan escape from a dark world and the attraction between them is immediate but he won't act onit. Apparently, Reapers were not allowed to have a relationship but all that has changed. Even with the change, Eoghan doesn't feel he should allow Thea in his life.

Poor Thea finds out who her mother is and that her life as an orphan was better than having her mother in her life.

Lots of twists and turns and the battle against Bran is getting closer. I really want to read the next book in the series to find out what happened to the Light Queen and why Death wants to wait for her "time" and loved that Death is preparing to take on Bran, sounds like an exciting book to read!

Dark Alpha's Hunger (Reaper, #6) by Donna Grant ...Another great addition to the Reaper's series Donna. Thank you so much for bringing Eoghan back and giving him his own Reapers to lead. (now there are two teams) Thanks to #NetGalley for letting me preview this book. Thea saves Eoghan with her music... She is half-fae and doesn't know who her parents are. They are perfect together... Now what of Usaeil and her new secret... What weapon has Erith recovered? What is going to happen with Bran? This book grabbed me from the start and didn't let me leave until I finished it. Yes there is a HEA ..and I can't wait for the next book.

voluntary review of arc

Dark Alpha’s Hunger by Donna Grant is the 6th book in the Reaper’s series. This series is best read in order. I did not, I will say my review will probably reflect that. I felt sorta like I came into an already established universe. Not that this story is not still great. Cause really it is worth reading. I just always felt slightly off. And there were references that went way over my head. But again, it was my choice to review a sixth book first, so I do not feel the author did not do her job. It is more like just really read these in order warning.
Okay the start was a little rocky for me. I got to meet Bran the former Reaper who has trust issues with women. Has a strong need for vengeance. And he wants to kill Death. What I got out of the start of this book.
Death might be losing her powers but she still has a trick or two up her sleeve. She needs a champion her choice is Eoghan but there is a little problem with him. You know being stuck in a hell universe and all.
Thea has a passion for music, she is a pure light that can save Eoghan. Eoghan is one of the original Reapers and is mightly powerful.
These two will save each other and the world with their love and strength.
I really enjoyed this story. I would love to go back and read what I missed cause this story is well worth it. When you want action, adventure, fantasy, and a whole lot of love I highly recommend picking this book up. But warning just read them in order.

Five Shooting Stars
