I’ve read a lot of fantasy literature (my favorite genre) but have to say that this series has been a favorite. The depth of the characters made all the difference. I will likely read again if not just to revisit them.

Mr. Wheeler's blending of myth and modern concepts is brilliant. I couldn't put the story down. Fans of Terry brooks and Jim Butcher will love Jeff wheeler's writings. This truly was an awesome read.

I have read the entire series and enjoyed them but for some reason, as this is the last in the series, I felt let down. There was entirely too much focus on the battles and fighting. Since it is the last, I would have preferred more on the actual characters.
(a Kingfountain prequel) (Kingfountain Series) - The Poisoner's Enemy :: The Fire Queen (The Hundredth Queen Book 2) :: Dryad-Born (Whispers from Mirrowen Book 2) :: The Void of Muirwood (Covenant of Muirwood Book 3) :: The Hollow Crown (Kingfountain)

Amazing writer. Love his use of proper language. Love, that all the books are clean and extremely well articulated. And the story lines matching with history and imagination into an incredible world that just draws you in, excellent indeed!

The Whispers from Mirrowen 3rd and final book was a fitting end to the trilogy. It took a while to get back into the book due to the length of time between books. The characters finally finish their epic quest and most receive their just reward.

Good read. I love the characters and the story and I wish there was more. It ended well but I would love a continuance maybe a little further into the future. I would have loved it if the author would have given a few chapters of how everyone was doing 15-30 years later where the characters left off in the book.

Jeff Wheeler is a very good fantasy author. I recommend all of his books. I actually liked book 1 and 2 of "whispers from mirrowen" more than book 3, but I still enjoyed it very much and was sad to come to the end of the series.

I love everything about Jeff Wheeler's books. They are suspenseful without being too much. They are complex, like real life. There are endless questions and sorrows and things to conquer. But in the end, good always wins.

The characters were well written, and the drudging sense of despair was well portrayed early in the book. I enjoyed the strong Greek and Christian allusions, and kept me turning the pages.
The ending left a little to be desired, and felt a bit too fairytale ending. All in all, a satisfying series.

Love Jeff Wheeler's books! The Muirwood series was my favorite, but loved Whispers, too. Just finished Poisonwell. Such a great story and the stories of Christianity imbedded in it were fun to recognize. I should probably give the series five stars, but Muirwood was five, so this is four. I just love these type of fantasy stories! I hope Mr. Wheeler writes more of them.

The only disappointment I have with this book is that I have finished it. ...... The skill of Jeffrey in the drawing of his characters is such that you become enmeshed in their lives, they become so very real to you , I hated to let them go. ..

Its rare that an author catches my attention and holds it throughout a book, let alone a series. Jeff Wheeler's writing is fluid and smooth, easy to follow, but not not simple. I highly recommend the series to any lover of fantasy books. I'll be looking for more Jeff Wheeler titles for my collection.
