Finally after being a secondary character in a number of other books/series Marcus gets his own story and happy ending. And what a great one it is! Some parts touching, some steamy, some laugh out loud funny! A must read, but the story begins in the first book, so read that first.

The hard-headed,opinionated and independent Lillian was more than Marcus,Lord Westcliff could stand. But wait, was this an opposites attraction? A very funny, endearing and sweet story about how two very different people find each other. Very wonderful read.

Lisa Kleypas is my favourite romance writer and I like all her books, but I was interested to see how she would pair Lillian and Marcus (I love that she chose this name for him by the way). The idea with the perfume was a near stroke of genius. Another Kleypas classic!

I loved this book and am continuing with the rest of the series. I really appreciated how neither Marcus or Lillian had a big personality change after they found each other and both remained strong individuals.

Second book of the wallflower series. Loved both Lillian and Marcus and their inability to stop themselves from wanting one another. All the characters are great..

Bought this as a paperback but it is a keeper so bought the indie version.

The story of the American heiress Lillian Bowman, a foreigner, coming to a very conservative English society and all the problems of her different upbringing. She is witty, strong minded, and independent.
Marcus is conservative and very dedicated to his family.
When they meet , all sort of problems begin...

Love this series so much. The "wallflowers" are awesome and Lillian is the type of girl I would love to be friends with. Her and Westcliff's story is so entertaining I read this book in a few hours. Another great book from Kleypas!

The title is misleading. "It" actually happens every autumn. "It" also happens every summer, spring and winter. Sometimes "it" happens two or three times a day. Sometimes "It" actually involves another person.

After reading and loving the Hathaway series I decided to try The Wallflower series. While the first one was good- it tool me quite awhile to like the main character. This book was fabulous from the first page. The banter between the main characters was hilarious and their chemistry amazing. I look forward to reading this book again and again.

This is my least favourite of the Wallflowers because I didn't much like the h. I reread this story recently and it didn't improve. There are already lots of reviews so I'll just say that it's worth reading the book because it sets up the best in the series "The Devil in Winter", which is a 5 star read and comes next in the series. Update: As another reviewer has pointed out, this H, Westcliff, is consistently mentioned in other books by this author but I truly don't get why. Imho he is overshadowed by the really annoying h, Lily, who is also overbearing in the other books in this series. I have no idea why this H is such a favourite of Ms Kleypas.

Predictable drivel derivative of Pride and Prejudice (complete with nearly direct quotes). The ravishing starts a little too soon after our chiseled leading man declares his dislike of ths heroine and there's a kind of rape scene? I liked the first book and third book, though!

This book is still entertaining but it's not 10/10 for me.

Loved the book.... great read.. have read several other books by Lisa Kleypas and enjoyed each one. What happened with this book is that I had read an earlier book in the series and had to have the additional books in order to finish the series. Will continue to read her books.
