I somehow lasted a few days after downloading this book to read it because I knew I would devour it and I did. Finished in one day and am really sad for it to be over. I'm hoping there will be future books in this series as it is one of my favorites.

I really enjoy Meghan's books. I immediately one clicked it the moment it was live. This story was great. Lucas was introduced in previous book and I immediately hated him. In this book I grew to love him. So nice for a author to take you into a book with her writing skills. Loved it!!!!! I can't wait until the next one!!

Such a great book. What amazing depth of characters and surprise endings. I love, love, love this entire series. With Meghan March books I know to expect romance, complicated history, and unexpected plot changes. Fun exciting roller coaster.

This whole Beneath series is excellent, at times you want to hate the males of each story then turn around the next page and smooch their faces off. Many emotions were felt thru each one, which to me makes a perfect book!!!!

MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS - Two alphas who run from love & relationships & commitment who have angry sex & eventually fall in love. Yve & Lucas Titan weren't my favorite couple for the love/hate thing they had going on, the push & pull got a little tiresome, but they both had issues they needed to work through, visible & emotional scars. In a nutshell Yve's mother was a kept woman, a mistress, & this seemed to be a trend in Yve's family. Yve is constantly avoiding any situation where it would appear that she is just kept around for sex, especially if that sex ends with special financial favors. I love that she enjoyed the sex with Lucas so much that she figures out a way to keep it continuing but on her own terms. Lucas' alpha male tendencies are on the rise because Yve seems to be a target & although Yve is keeping secrets he feels that he has to keep her close, keep her under his roof & keep her safe which is a little too close for Yve. Even though Lucas blackmailed Vanessa & seemed like a bad guy, he has daddy issues & very low self-esteem, the reason behind his success, to constantly feel like he must prove himself. Lucas Titan is the sexiest man Yve has ever seen so even though she says she hates him & he disgusts her, that obviously isn't the case. That isn't something that turns me on so again, not my favorite couple. Like with the other books in this series there is a high level of danger & there was a great plot twist at the end when the person targeting Yve is not who we thought it would be. The ending brought it all around for me, when Yve & Lucas are in danger & know in that moment that they love each other. And the epilogue, awww, so romantic! That was absolutely the best, in Lucas style forcing Yve's hand while making the whole evening beautiful & romantic, just like Cinderella! My favorite Yve line, right after a hot kiss from Lucas: "Who knew sexy-as-hell had a flavor? Dairy Queen would make a killing." :) I'm dying for the next book but I'm confused - I can't tell who is going to be the star of the show. Valentina & Hennessy seemed to be attracted to each other & I would love to have their story! Also new shop helper JP is adorable - a possible love interest for Lucas' brother Levi or maybe hot tattoo artist Bishop? So many options, I'd love them all!

Great series. I'd actually stumbled across "Beneath this Mask" and completely fell in love. Love all the characters, but Lucas Titan is in a league all his own. Love Yve, love her spunk. Am definitely recommending this to every one who will listen. Great book.

I loved everything about this book. Between Lucas being an alpha billionaire, jerk and Yve being a bada**, sassy chick that doesn’t put up with his crap, these two made this a book I couldn’t put down. Highly recommended.

This series just keeps getting better. Keeps you captivated, and begging for more. Sexy, exciting, and so well done. It's a must read! And can probably be read as a stand alone if need be. I'm ready for more

Beneath These Scars is a fabulous addition to Meghan March's Beneath series. Though it is a part of a series, it can be read as a stand alone. If you are a fan of Meghan's work, you will have met the infamous Lucas Titan. He has been portrayed as the villain; or at the very least, the guy you can love to hate. Though he was shown to have some redeeming qualities, and you may even have changed your mind about him after some of his unusual antics, you have not been introduced to the true Lucas Titan until this story.

Yve Santos has vowed to never be a kept woman. After her abusive first marriage, she is determined more now than ever to make a life for herself all on her own. When circumstances beyond her control force her to be at the mercy of Lucas Titan, reluctant isn't even a strong enough word to describe her hostility and frustration.

This book is filled with strong-willed, determined characters. The chemistry between them will have you laughing one minute and completely emotionally invested the next. Meghan March has an amazing ability to write gripping story lines that keep you burning through the pages to find out what happens next. I absolutely devoured this series and I hope to read more about these memorable characters in the future!

Wonderful follow up! Lucas and Yve story is interesting and provides a lot of answers from previous books in this series. Definitely sheds light on Lucas and his character. Don't judge a book by its cover :)
