Book 1, Ruthless King: The Mount Trilogy

O.M.G. Lachlan Mount and Kiera Kilgore are freaking HOT!! This story is a little different for author Meghan March, but WOW, it is so good!
The power struggle, anger, fear and sexy as hell moments between Mount and Kiera are fantastic. Mount is a commanding force to be reckoned with. Kiera is no weakling. She's stubborn and fiery. So when they interact in any way, expect explosive moments. But, dang that twist! I did not see that coming at all. I cannot wait for Defiant Queen! Well done Meghan, well done!

Lachlan Mount controls everything, even Keira Kilgore. Long before she knew what was coming. The anger and hatred she feels become kindling to the foreplay and ????? sex between them.

It builds up to an explosive climax and leaves you hanging...

Absolutely amazing and i can't get enough of these two characters. The underbelly of New Orleans lives and breathes manipulation and sex.

Weak heroine, man with no character who is just a caricature of a billionaire who happens to be a criminal.

I didnt feel he was intimidating or that he had any power. His character is flat, he just sprouts nonsense like owning Keira and she being her property, he being the big badass king of the local criminal world, but non of that translate.

Its always easy to manipulate weak people and this book featured one of the weakest and stupidest.

It doesnt take courage to get a tattoo that says no mans property. But what do you do to ensure that????

Apparently Keira has to pay with her body for a debt she isnt responsible for. Why??? This is a ploy that works in certain dark romance books, but falls flat in this one.

Did she check with a lawyer, ask to see documents proving she can lose her family legacy?

No. What she does is talk to a friend who tells her she is going to give in so she might as well enjoy her enslavement.

She finds herself responding to "Mount" but that is just her bodys natural reaction to sexual stimulation, which she of cource cant know, because her ex husbend never fullfiled her sexually!!

Keira is suppose to be strong but doesn't reach out to anyone for help. She has family and I guarantee they would not want her to sell herself to save a business.

I enjoyed Meghan's books in the past, but lately she seems to be writing trilogies that lack depth and character. Her stories no longer captivate me.

This book just sucked me in immediately and I was flipping pages as fast as a could on my kindle. You meet Keira and she is struggling with the finances for the family distillery and the hurt from her one deceased husband. Thinking she is bringing the business slowly out of debt when a surprise visitor leaves everything twisting in the wind. Lachlan Mount is an unmovable force that is a large hurdle that she cannot climb. Grab this story you will not be disappointed.

I knew that snake would reappear... I really loved this story and can't wait for the next one. You like a mysterious man...this book is definitely got that. An innocent struggling with right and wrong decisions , with a floppy mouth and attitude to go with..this book has that to. You won't be disappointed.

This book is just WOW! You definitely will not be disappointed when you are done, it will have you on the edge of your seat from the time you read the first word until the very last! It is just that good, if you never read any of Meghan’s books this book right here will let you know just how amazing of an author she is!

This was hugely intense from the first page to the last!
I really wanted to read this but wanted to wait until the entire trilogy was out to start it. So far, not even close to being disappointed.
There are so many twists and turns and do we ever get an enticing cliffhanger!

Listen, I didn't know what to expect while reading this book, but let me just say I am so happy I waited for all of the books to be releases. This was so hot! The power, the seduction, I loved it all and cannot wait to read what is going to happen next. Holy crap, this book was phenomenal!! I was so drawn into the characters and the storyline, I couldn't put it down. Keira was such a perfect heroine for Mount, holding her own and standing up to him. This is my favorite book of Meghan's so far, and I definitely can't wait for Defiant Queen.

Keira, a distillery owner, finds herself in huge debt to a powerful man,Lachlan Mount. He tries to persuade her into consensual sex. Her worhless husband had been killed in a fiery car crash and he is the reason Keira is in debt to Mount. The sexual tension in this book is wonderful!!!

I have absolutely no words to describe how much I loved Ruthless King. Meghan March continues to surprise me again and again. Each book she writes is better than the next. Ruthless King is sinful and sexy and I cannot wait to get the rest of Mount and Keira's story. I was honestly speechless at the end of this book and I cannot wait until the next book in this series. I would highly highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone! Happy reading :)

Meghan's books are always a one click for me, but this book was the story I never knew I was waiting for! Wow! I never thought Lachlan Mount would take over the top spot from Lucas Titan for me, but he sure did!! Amazing! Not enough words to express how awesome this book is and how spectacular this series is going to be!!!!

Be prepared for a cliffhanger ending. Keira owes a distillery but finds herself fighting debt, left by her dead soon to be ex husband. In walks Mount who loans her dead husband the money. The only way for her to pay off the debt is with her body willingly. This hotheaded, stubborn, Irish girl has other plans in mind for Mount.

Loved this book! Kiera is backed into a corner needing to save her family's distillery....She may give in to Mounts demands, but she does it kicking and screaming the whole way. She strong and feisty and won't let anyone try to break her...I love that! Mount is the boogeyman of New Orleans and should be feared ...except Kiera gives as good as she gets. I can't wait for book 2&3. I love Mount and kiera together!

Impressive. The male character is a real SOB but there's just SOMETHING about him that makes you root for him...that's good writing

The female is strong, confident but no match for our male. She's not going down without a fight.

Good story, good characters, good writing..

Meghan March is the queen of twisty goodness based on this book!

Keira has had so much happen in the past 4 months. This book only takes place over a couple of weeks but they are some very full weeks! Her dealings with Mount are a bit expected (but written very very well) until the last chapter and BOOM!!!!

I cannot wait to read the rest of this trilogy.

That was...it was...AMAZEBALLS! This is an epic 1st book in what’s I’m believed to be an amazing trilogy Ms. March! Sinfully Pleasurable in every way. Mount is a badass in every sense of his being and Keira...she truly a leading Lady even a straight chic could love. She’s stubborn, defiant will absolutely keep him on his toes. I can’t wait for the next book to be released. Especially with that surprise at the very end...CANT WAIT!

I really enjoyed the build-up of the. Characters and I can sense how hot Mount is and I enjoy that Keira doesn't automatically swoon over him.Make him fight for it even though he gets whatever he wants! Can't wait for the next one in the series

Ms. March has definitely upped her game with Ruthless King. Hot doesn't come close. I doubt the heat of hellfire would compare. An explosive pair of MCs along with some new characters and some old Voodoo friends. This IS NOT a book you want to miss!

Ruthless King 5 stars! Meghan March has done it again. Move over Fifty Shades because Ruthless king has taken your number one spot. Keira is the smart CEO who is taken by Mount a man from the dark side of New Orleans. I feel in love with both of them. Their story is hotter than hot and the journey just keeps you wanting more! Go a head try to put this book down. You wont be able to, its just that good! So make sure you set a day aside to read and bring clean underwear, you may need to change into them.

Read all of her books in less of month... WARNING (you would continue to want more). I would suggest any book of Meghan March. She is one of my favorite authors. All of her books will snatch you in and keep you reading and wanting more. Love to read about strong alpha man who knows what he wants. And the women are just as strong as their man.. Meghan March doesn't disappoint...

Ok... WHAT DID I JUST READ!!!

I have literally done nothing today because I started this book and just couldn’t do anything else. I could not put it down - from the first page Meghan had me. hook, line and sinker.

Lachlan amount is everything. EVERYTHING!!!

This book and the rest of the trilogy is going to be a wild ride!

Ruthless King was definitely an addictive read that I highly suggest and so glad that I finally read ( bonus of waiting I get all 3 books back to back) and I can not wait to dig into book 2 a definite must read this year

Holy Moly, I loved this book. LOVED. I have been in the biggest book slump, and now I find myself in a frenzy awaiting the rest of this series.

Keira's an awesome female lead. Smart and driven to run her family's distillery. Mount is just the perfect freaking villain, that you want SO bad.

The twists (yes multiple) that this book took toward the end blew my mind and left me wanting more, and I can't even be mad about it!

Every time Meghan comes out with a duet or trilogy I know the cliffhanger is going to gut me, and every time I tell myself I'm going to wait until all the books are in my grabby hands to start reading. That NEVER happens! Meghan's stories draw me in and I just have to read (obviously I have no self control) but I'm definitely not complaining. Ruthless King was phenomenal!

Loved both main characters. Strong. Independent. Scared silly, but stands tall. Total controlling dominant male. Great story line. Great flow. Just ended too soon. I can't wait for the next one!! I have already pre-ordered.

Meghan March's imagination takes a dark turn in the Big Easy when Mount comes out to play. And his sites are set on Kiera Kilgore. Sexy, sinful, and strong-willed , you'll eagerly be waiting for more to come from these two!

I hate when books that should be one consistent story are divided into a three part book! The writing is good and certainly could have been a favorite author who I would happily have supported but I feel deceived by this book!

I will finish this story and write off ever looking at another thing written her simply because of this!

Holeee sheeeet. This book kept me up all night reading. Fast, sexy, erotic and beautifully put together. Another great book by Meghan March. I need book 2 now!!!! The wait is going to kill me. Book hangover!!!

If things happen for a reason, my guess the heroine and hero need one another to complete themselves. I dislike waiting for releases when I'm reading. I've always thought it cute having book boyfriends; for once I'm crushing on an author Meghan March . Her writing is immense the way she describes her characters and their lives.

Dark, deliciously so! Worth the read, absolutely. I’ve found it hard to find a book I like lately because they all are so much alike and it gets boring. This was every bit dark, light, and sexy all over. Well written and thought out. On to part two..

This book was very well written and kept you hooked and flipping pages until the very end. Great Job, Meghan March. Definitely looking forward to the next book!

This is my first time reading a Meghan March book and it won't be the last. I love as dark read and Meghan delivers just that, and what a cliff hanger! I'm anxiously awaiting her next book, and if it's anything like Ruthless King it will be spectacular! Grab your fan and curl up to an evening of hot alpha male and his match.

Damn Meghan March has out done herself once again. Ruthless King makes you think you are getting Mount's story but in reality you are seeing him through Keira's perspective which is intriguing and makes you want to hear Mount's side. Another 5 star read from this talented author.
