The characters are memorable and throughout the story, everything is greatly detailed. I had to stop halfway through the first book, and again in this one, to start the whole series over again. I didn't think I'd like another book series as much as Court of Thorns series by Sara J Maas.

This book was worth the wait. Once you start reading it, it sucks you in just like the first book. I thought that maybe with everything going on that Iidako would somehow become pregnant with Brishen's baby since there was a lot of magic being tossed around. The book was so great it was like watching a movie. I just finished this book and I can't wait for book 3.

Sometimes when you are anticipating the arrival of a new book and you finally get to read, you are disappointed in the story. Not with this long awaited sequel. This story is just as strong as the first. This is the kind of story that you can't read fast enough but you never want it to come to an end. Am looking forward to the next book from Ms. Draven.

I loved this book! Grace Draven is becoming my favorite author. I love the world she created. Her characters are so well developed and beautiful. You can't help but love them with every turn of the book. You feel their struggles and triumphs as if they were your own. You hate the shadow Queen for what she did to Bast Hardis. Plus Bishen and Ildiko's love story is so powerful that it keeps you turning the page over and over until you finish the book. Seriously why do I have to wait til next year for the third and final book?

This was even better than the first, absolutely outstanding. I will read everything she writes. This is a rare gem. One hell of a story with characters that are so rich and a world that will mesmerize you. I could read story after story in this strange land. Grace Draven, you are a Queen!!!

In her long awaited follow up to "Radiance," Grace Draven has crafted a fantasy masterpiece of epic proportions. In the sequel, Draven reveals the tale of Brishen and his human wife, Ildiko, while also detailing the heroic story of the Wraith Kings alluded to in "The Brush of Black Wings." Carefully woven together, "Radiance" and "Eidolon" are must reads for any bibliophile, if only for the pure pleasure of Draven's incredible talent! I can not recommend these books strongly enough, but savor them slowly. Otherwise, you will haunt Draven's website for news on future works!

I love, love this sequel to Radiance. Grace Draven is one talented writer with the way she throws her characters into a conflict and how she resolved them. I love how she molds her characters and sets up her magical setting. There are a few typos but they did not bother me. I was engrossed as I escaped into her enchanted world. Lastly, I wish she would make the stories longer but apart from that, I am one satisfied reader of her work.

I loved the first novel, "Radiance". LOVED IT !. It is on my Keeper Shelf. So the wait for Eidolon, was agonizing .lol
However, it was well worth the wait.
I shall never get tried of re-reading it again and again.
I beg that MS. DRAVEN would write another book about Ildiko . and Brishen again, Please.
Thank you MS.Draven.

Thanks goodness, we get to find out the consequences of the evil Queens meddling in things she thinks she can control. Written with Grace Dravens usual evocative detail, which wonderfully creates the the world Ildiko & Brishen inhabit.

Eidolon is Book two in the Wrath Kings series. I often find the middle book in a series disappointing, but Eidolon was every bit as tense and magical as Radiance. The twist and turns of the plot kept me glued to the page. Grace Draven is anything but predictable. That is what has made her my favorite author.

Good story, but it needed more dialogue between Brishen and Idilko. Didn't hold my attention as much As her other books. Great story plot though. And I really, really wish that they would have a child!!! Please, please, tell me there is another story with Anhuset and Sergara getting together!!! Love this author, will buy more of her books!!!!

After the first book established the characters and their backgrounds, this book expands on that, plus gives the reason for the "Wraith Kings" name. I really loved how this book played out, and it really had me on the edge of my seat waiting to see how things played out. I will miss reading about this amazing couple!

Grace Draven is a delightful writer. She is passionate in her descriptions and makes one wish her story real. Imagination at its best, in every aspect, the reader is pulled into a world of love and most of all desire. Makes the reader wish a world of passion, open to impossible realities, describing a love that overcomes biological conditioning, unlikely loves that are more perfect than perfection, a man and woman of different species made for each other by the magic touch of nature's wand. Draven shows that love is immutable, extending outward, bypassing culture and biology itself. The courage to love shatters the chain of limitation that keeps us low and locked within the depths of our soul. -Afrodita-

I really liked this book. A bit different than the first, but how many authors can seamlessly take you from one book to another? The second was just as good as the first. I am looking forward to the next. This has it all, a swashbuckling romancing high adventure.

I really enjoyed this two book series. It was great to see the two mains truly learn to value each other. The heroine was strong while still preserving who she was. The hero respected his wife's abilities. Too often authors write about lust and call it love. However, this is true love. He willing to give up a kingdom for her and she willing to give up everything for him. Then them both working together.

This series took me by pleasant and sleepless surprise. I read both books back to back and didn't sleep for almost two days, and I don't regret a single minute of sleep lost to them. The world Draven has built, the characters and the plot that she has woven were all superb. Some of the best fantasy I've read in years and on the the very few stories I will not only be willing to 're-read soon, but will thoroughly enjoy so, doing. I look forward to the next installment and the lack if sleep I'm sure it will cause :-)

Loved the first book and found the continuation to be just as interesting and fast-paced. Not sure if Grace can top what she has done with the first two books, but definitely want to read the third one to see. Thinking I may also have to check out the other series she has written.

This was a great addition to the series, fast paced and packed with action. The main characters are perfectly written, loving and respectful of each other's strength while balancing out their individual weaknesses. Well written and I'm waiting on the next installment.

I experienced so many emotions while reading this book! By the end, I was a happy and exhausted mess. This book will put you through the wringer. While Radiance is still my favorite, (left me feeling warm a fuzzy - before the epilogue), this one is an amazing sequel that wrapped things up far better than I thought possible. Once I started reading, I couldn't put it down. I can't wait for the audiobook! Again, a five star sequel! Highly recommended book!

This piece of fiction, along with its' predecessor were very well written. The character development, storytelling, and world building were convincing. It had more of an epic feel to it than many paranormal stories, and I highly recommend it. Respectable writing skills, and unique elements to the story made it quite enjoyable. Plus the love story between the Kai prince and his human wife is lovely, and admirable in so many ways. Brava!

Radiance was such a good book I practically salivated for this one. It was so worth the wait. I am sure I will be rereading Eidolon shortly it was so fun.
Grace Draven's use of words is deep and resonates with a feel that lends to the otherworldly feeling she has created. This is an adult book but it is by no means a cheap sex book. The story line is wonderful and the characters feel real and well thought out. I am so eager to see what is in the future for my new friends,( all the characters in her worlds,) and eagerly await the next instalment of the Wraith Kings.
Thank you Grace Draven for sharing your talents with the world. I truly enjoyed this adventure.

I absolutely LOVED this book!! I regret that I had to wait so long for it, only to devour it so quickly. I couldn't put it down. Loved Brishen & Ildiko. The story was awesome. Can't say enough good things about this author. I've yet to read a story of hers I dislike.

LOVE this series and hope for more. The characters are interesting the world building is good but could be more. I enjoy the character's relationship and how they grow to love each other. It is based in a fantasy world and I can't wait to read more. Would highly recommend.

Draven is one of the best writers around. This book moves quickly and is so well written that I was never tempted to skim forward a few pages. She has created a complex, enduring and truthful relationship with Ildiko and Brishen , and I will gladly wait as long as it takes to buy the next book in this series.

I enjoy stories that involve the struggles experienced by people of different cultures while they try to get along. This two book story is a good example of what sacrifices have been made to ensure those struggles succeed.

I was happy to finally read this story. This chapter of The Wraith Kings was worth the wait. I'm sorry I have to wait another year for the next installment. I hope there will be more of Ahnset and Serovek,s courtship in the next story. Congratulations Ms.Dra ending on another great story.

Great sequel to Radiance. Completely different tone the book, but it works and works well. I recommend reading the Master of Crows series first. This book has many answers to the who and what questions that show up thousands of years later in the Crows series.

I loved this book, perhaps even more then the first. While i do love steamy love scenes, which this book dosent really have, i enjoyed more the electric energy between the two main characters as well as the well written story...sometimes there are SOME things that are better then sex. Loved this book, and look foward to reading more from this author.

Full of action, passion, desperation and love. Ildiko and Brishen are as charming as before, and there love is tested and affirmed. This story had more action, and more focus on secondary characters, which was great. I can't wait for Anhusan and her horse mad human!

Grace Draven is the rare author who is as masterful at world building as she is at plot and character development, giving us another beautiful story set in the world of the Kai. Loved this book, loved the characters and I can't wait for the next book.

This book is the second one with Brishen and Ildiko, who I adore. As with her first book in this series, Grace creates a great story line and develops characters that you care about. I look forward to her next book and anything else she writes.

I took down one star because at times the descriptions in the book were a bit lengthy. However, it still is a well-written book. Compared to the first book of the series, this sequel is paced a lot slower. The reason for that is because this book focused more on the plot and less of Brishen and Ildiko's relationship. (No worries there will still be plenty of Brishen and Ildiko moments). As usual, the author is great at character development and characterization. It's very magical. The characters feel so alive and realistic. Can't wait for the next book of the series in 2017!

Another great book by one of my favorite authors. A must read! It is the second book in a series so you do need to read Radiiance first but it is also a great book so no hardship there. I can't wait for the rest of the series!

Anyone who likes stories with magic and bit of romance should enjoy these books. I've read both in the series and am looking for a 3rd. The romance had a nice twist making it enjoyable and uplifting. The magic and the war between good and evil keeps you reading on to find what is going to happen next. Nothing is over done nor under done. Really good read.

Fabulous story. Unique, well-crafted characters, setting, and plot. I highly recommend this book and the author.
That said, this book does need another pass through editing. Don't let that deter you from reading this, though.

Both characters are very relatable in the circumstances they find themselves in. Although they face a great evil they are not exempt from experiencing likely relationship issues. A great read. I look forward to the other books to come.

This book hooked me from the start, with the loving, respectful relationship between the 2 main characters. There is a contrast of species, & cultures in their relationship, but they've made it work & grown to love each other. Grace Dravens' books are always a delight.
