The Field Guide (The Spiderwick Chronicles)

If you enjoyed the Spiderwick Chronicles, you'll enjoy this book. It's got a ton of information and illustrations that relate to the book series. My son (age 7) loves it. He pores over it quite often. He enjoys nonfiction works about dinosaurs, ocean-life, machines, planets, etc. It's like a fiction version of a reference book. Fun!

My stepson, in the third grade, loved this book! After finishing the book he promptly suggested that I read it as well. I am so glad  I did! This book is full of imagination! I can not wait to read the rest of the series with him!

I recommend this book to whomever loves syfy, fiction, fantasy kind of books. This is a great book for children because this a lower standard of reading it can also be a great book for adults; this book is great for all ages.

While a little too old for the Spiderwick Chronicles themselves I can appreciate an interesting and detailed world for a series of children's novels. And I can always appreciate Mr.DiTerlizzi's art.

This is good stuff and lets you see another world.

If you must have everything-Spiderwick, you must have this Field Guide. A collector's item for adults, and a tangible extension of the those story-things otherwise only imagined. 2-Stars for Novelty. Another star for Design. Had the quality of the binding and paper been a bit better a fourth star would have been in order. And finally, the price is now too high for a fifth star.

HOW can I possibly rate this item???? the store HAS NOT SHIPPED IT YET! It was ordered like a MONTH ago, but as of yet, has NOT EVEN BEEN SHIPPED. So asking me to rate it is funny. I happen to know this item very well even though I haven't received it yet, that is why the 5*'s. However, it STILL SITS SOMEWHERE AT the store. They have no plans to ship it until the 20th of this month. I don't understand it...

I have several books on dragons, fairies, gnomes and the sort. Tony DiTerlizzi is very talented with his illustrations in the magical realm. Makes you want to close your eyes and wish you were there.
