I enjoyed reading from the male POV and also some of the further insight into palace life. It was a little too short to be truly satisfying and I think the fact that I paid $1.99 to read that short of a novella influenced my rating a bit.

I really enjoyed reading about the Selection in Maxons point if view!! I hope Cass writes another book from his point of view later in the Selection, or even the Elite. This could describe why he started to develop deeper feelings for Kriss in a more detailed way

While I enjoyed this short story, it could have been a bit longer. I would like to have read Maxon's story through a few more key scenes would have been a nice addition to this novella. It was a nice time-filler while I searched for the next book in the series to read.

The selection was wonderful and this book delivers as well!! The story is exciting, fun and very well written. I read a lot of YA novels and this is one of my favorite stories. I cannot wait for the next book in the series!

Reading this novella gave me a great insight into what goes on behind the scenes in the palace. I really enjoyed the insight into Prince Maxim's world and what he thinks about. I can't wait for the next book in the series!!!

Many people have been complaing about how short this book is... but this was the whole point of the novella. Cass wrote this story as an introduction to The Elite(to be released on April 23, 2013) and to give you a look into Maxon's previous love life. Even though it is only 80 pages long it is well worth $1.99. If you read the Selection and can't wait for the Elite... this is the perfect book for you!

I loved the first book, The Selection! This was a fun perspective to see how the Prince thought and felt. I really enjoyed it and would love another one to go along with the second book that will be released in April!!

I enjoyed the novella, it follows her standard. I felt ripped off though, its short with very limited subject matter. Really it could have just been an extra chapter in the books. The description is also a little misleading.

A great little taste of the Selection world while we all wait for book #2 to come out. It was interesting to see things from the prince's perspective and understand a little more about the society they are living in.

I have read The trilogy, and fell for Maxon already. This is a nice bit to understand his relation with the king and his view of the selection. Such an awesome young man!! Lovely read. Regardless of the abrupt ending, I enjoyed the story.

This glimpse into the prince's mind was extremely entertaining! I loved every minute of it and finished it in one sitting. Throughout the book, one sees the kind of compassion and worried type of person he is; but this gives an exact look to his personality. Also I always wanted to know what he thought of his America.

I read this book right after reading The Selection and loved it. I was able to see a different point of view other than the main character. I'm glad Kiera Cass made a short story to reveal what the prince was going threw as well.

I liked hearing from Maxon. If you're a Selection reader and lover, you don't want to pass up an opportunity to get inside Maxon's head. It's interesting to see his take on meeting America, and it also has insights into the king that make sense, but I wasn't expecting. Structurally, it wasn't the strongest read, but for a novella, it worked. Especially for a novella for fans! Looking forward to the Guard...

I love Prince Maxon- his chillvary, compassion, worries. His view of America's experience even though the same dialogue was actually a totally different story.... I can't wait to see their relationship unfold in Elite

I have finished reading all of the selection books and was very impressed by the books. The Prince was great but I feel that it ended to soon. I know it introduces Prince Maxon but, I felt that it needed more. That it was cut short. I was left wanting to find a second book. To me this book could have been five stars if it were complete with what had happened in the selection books but in the prince's eyes.

great little tidbit to tide you over until the final installment of the trilogy comes out. only negative was that it left me wanting more...i hope we get to see another part of the story from the prince's point of view. fun trilogy...hunger games meets the bachelor. worth the price...goes right to your kindle, easy reading.

This book was basically the beginning of the selection from Maxons point of view. We do learn a little more about Prince Maxon and his true feeling towards some of the "ladies" we see in The Selection. Also of a lady in his past....and how the selection girls were truly picked. If you loved The Selection and what to know more about Prince Maxon, this is a great ,very short read for you.

Can't say there is much that was unexpected--wondering how this series can turn out any other way than for America to marry Maxon. It seems pretty obvious at this point, but it's always nice to get another point of view.
