Midnight Tales and Dangerous Magic - The Language of Thorns
Midnight Tales and Dangerous Magic - The Language of Thorns

Review:The Good: Not a word can be said about this book before I mention how glorious the illustrations are. These pieces of art don’t simply illustrate, but they help tell the story, building in the margins with progressive and chilling detail as each story unfolds. I know that I’ll regularly be finding new details in the art as I reread in the future. But with that said, I can now rave about how wonderful the stories were as well! I have been excited about this project since it was announced, since o... Read more

Review:I had to write my review right away after finishing this one. I don't want to forget a thing and yet I have a feeling that I'll write this and then go back thinking about the book more and more and wanting to add other of my rambling thoughts. This is one that I just don't want to leave anything out, yet of course still be vague and not share any spoilers, yet how can I not share all these thoughts....

I Love, Love, Love Marissa Meyer's writing. She creates these amazing worlds that draw ... Read more

The Vampire Wish (Dark World - The Vampire Wish Book 1)
The Vampire Wish (Dark World - The Vampire Wish Book 1)

Review:I really enjoyed this book. It had many different types of supernatural characters in it. Loved the bond between the main characters. Hope that they get back to it and it's not left there. I think he truly cares about her and cant show it. Cannot wait for the next book. Read more

Angelbound (Angelbound Origins Book 1)
Angelbound (Angelbound Origins Book 1)

Review:This was a fascinating book but it isn't an adult paranormal romance. It has a slow building relationship between a strong alpha male and a strong alpha female. I recommend this book to those who like a strong male and female lead...however, at times the male just takes control. When the male lead does take control it doesn't demoralize the female character it seems natural and more of a partnership than a gender war. Read more

First Year (The Black Mage Book 1)
First Year (The Black Mage Book 1)

Review:I read a couple of these books. They are pretty predictable. None of the words they give you to describe the mood fits. Whiney is better. The main character makes horrible decisions over and over and does way too much whining and creating teenage drama. I expected it for the first book. But I also expected the character to grow more mature and the books went on. Nope. Just more whining and angst. Read more

Review:I almost dismissed this book but i kept going. I kept trying to read it and somewhere around halfway things got interesting. I mean interesting enough for me to put off dinner and finish reading. I predict that while this book felt bogged down in so much information and details that the second book is going to blow minds. Just the way this one ended, yes it was a cliffhanger, the second one is VERY anticipated for me.

So you have triplets who are borne of one previous queen of great magic... Read more

Dragon Trials (Return of the Darkening Book 1)
Dragon Trials (Return of the Darkening Book 1)

Review:Agathea Flamma is a snob. She’s also quite a brat. I tried very hard to give her the benefit of the doubt at the start of this book, since she’s high born and has probably never mixed much with hardworking commoners and all – but she kept on with her haughty thinking, believing Seb stupid and slow and dirty long past the point when she should have known better, and I wanted to push her off a dragon, quite frankly. Especially when she is exceptionally slow on the uptake herself at times.

A Reimagining of Cinderella (The Andari Chronicles Book 1)
A Reimagining of Cinderella (The Andari Chronicles Book 1)

Review:I loved this book! It was enough of a twist on the Cinderella story to keep me engaged from the first page to the last, and the balance between witty banter, intrigue, and (clean) romance met my every hope. I'm ready to start on the next book in the series! Thank you to the author for such a perfect, delightful read!

I want to add something. (It's been a few weeks since I finished the book). The two main characters have stuck with me since then, and I realized why. Yes, they feel like rea... Read more

Duel of Fire (Steel and Fire Book 1)

Review:I absolutely love the unique medieval style and world building and world history of this book! The characters are written very well too. I definitely would recommend this book to anyone even if you don't normally read fantasy. It isn't too confusing but at the same time it is complex. Loved this book so much. Dara is an amazing character!!! READ THIS BOOK NOWWWW Read more

A Lunar Chronicles Collection (The Lunar Chronicles)
A Lunar Chronicles Collection (The Lunar Chronicles)

Review:The writer doesn't' take any risk. Book is too predictable along with the series. I myself did not read these books however my gf who i bought them for did. She was not a fan , although i got her the whole series. She says it was a good read but once you read more of her work you feel as if you're in a cycle where the reader can always predict the authors next move. Read more
