Woah! This book is gripping, captivating, suspenseful and fabulously done in true Laura Kaye style. You will devour it in all one sitting! You will be shocked and amazed with the characters in this book.

Anna is amazing. She's got raw talent and takes care of her father. She doesn't complain about dealing with her father at all, despite him not remembering her own name. Things change in an instant. She's now compelled to draw until she is drained and sees a dark shadow.. one that forever will change her. This shadow is Devlin and she wants to help him, but will he let her?

Devlin is trying to make things right and in the meantime sees a unique woman and sees she has paintings. Paintings that a human shouldn't know or see. This angers him and he has to find out what is going on. Yet, his feelings for her surprise him. Will he give into them or hurt her like everyone else?

I loved Anna. She's a wonderful person, friend and daughter. I loved how she stood up to Devlin. She was devoted, sympathized and cared without the same in return. I enjoyed watching her stand her ground even around the other elders. That was hilarious. You will fall in love with her and sympathize her with all the new revelations unfolding in her life.

Devlin, oh that Devlin. He is complex. He is angry, vicious, kind, loving, has a heart and more! You will love him. He is wonderful to Anna and his thoughts/feelings for her- I just loved. I loved watching his possessiveness. It was hilarious and amazing at the same time. I loved the flying scene and his feelings. I loved that part, when true revelations are told. He's just overall an amazing man who feels he isnt worthy of anything and so much loved that he started to believe it because of Anna. YOU will fall in love with him for sure!

This fabulous book is filled with loss, pain, love, captivating moments, redemption, shocking revelations, amazing characters, friends, family and more that will truly captivate you until the very end.

Well done!

I give this book 5 Aneomi stars! :)

Wow. Just....wow. East of Ecstasy is an epic finale to the Hearts of the Anemoi series. EPIC. These books, particularly are those that should grace the big screen; the titanic battle between these Gods is exactly the type of film that I would adore. I visualised and felt every single emotion and I'm not just talking about the romantic aspect, which in fairness, to me, was a bi-product of the real deeper action and family dynamic filled storyline. I was put through the ringer in the best possible way. I sobbed my heart out, smiled, sighed, yelled and felt every ounce of each characters' joy and pain.

I adored Devlin and Anna; their journey is so different to Owen & Megan's, Zeph & Ella's and Chrys & Laney's. It's filled with angst, realisation and surprises and being a lover of a dark tormented hero and a strong fearless lady, they were perfection.

When a friend recommended this series, I had no idea that it was based around one of my favourite subjects; Greek mythology absolutely fascinates me. Laura Kaye brought these characters, their love stories and fight for survival to life, the fact that I read them back to back over 5 days made them feel like family. It is a series I highly recommend and "with all the love in my heart, I give" 5 glorious windswept stars. This series blew me away.

Analise is an artist who is color blind. Only when she is painting does the color come to her in briliance. Her father is ill and she has put her dreams on hold to take care of him.

Devlin is the heir to the East winds, but has to overthrow his evil father who is making storms has stolen the Supreme God of Wind and Storms powerful ring making him almost indestructible. Devlin to help and try to earn the trust of the other Gods who think he is a evil as his father.

Devlin falls for Analise, but doesn't think that he has a chance. She is so good, and his past (no part of his own) is so bad. Analise helps heal Devlin.

This is a great book, and keeps you enthralled. You can't help but pray that Devlin is going to prove himself to the other gods and make it right, but you don't know until the end who is going to win!

I was provided a free copy of this book for my honest review.

I went into reading this book not having read the previous books. Reading the previous books in the series would have probably helped me understand the war between the gods and their families but it did not take away from me enjoying the developing relationship between Anna and Devlin. Anna is a caregiver for her ailing father and a talented painter. Anna's painting talent has taken over her life as she starts having visions and she can't stop the visions until she paints what she sees. Devlin is the son of Anemoi Eurus. He's hiding out in a building trying to get control of his unstable powers but instead stumbles upon Anna's studio and is confused why a human would be painting pictures of him and his family. Complete strangers, Anna and Devlin have to rely on each other to help solve the mystery of Anna's paintings and work together to save Devlin and the people he cares about.

Have to give this 5 +++ stars – East of Ecstasy, the last book in the fantastic “Hearts of Anemoi” series, is magnificent and the entire series is “priceless”. I have never felt this much closeness to characters nor have I cried so much while reading a story. The emotions this story invoked was at times so intense, the tears would not stop, I would just have to close the book and walk away for a short time. The beautiful way different scenes were written was positively brilliant. This was a superbly written series, where you seen that even the “Gods” make mistakes just as we humans and there may not be a happy ending for all. This series is now complete, I am just sorry it is over, but this entire series with its truly amazing characters will be remembered for a very long time.

Loved this fourth book in the hearts of Anemoi series. I love these books, the mythology, the world they take place in and most of all, the characters that we've shared love and loss with.

This final book, in Laura Kaye's Hearts of Anemoi series is the story of wind god Devlin and human Anna. Devlin, is a tortured, bad boy hero who is paying the price for his fathers sins, he feels unloved and unworthy of anything good. Of course, Anna see's him for who he really is, a kind, good-hearted man. She helps him feel love for the first time. Devlin must prove his loyalty and honor to the other wind gods and defeat his father, the evil Eurus.

I'm not giving any spoilers but I will tell you to have tissues handy. There are so many twists and turns, so many emotional moments, so many new faces and surprises. This book gave an emotionally satisfying end to a wonderful series.

Laura...if you read this, can we get one more? Maybe Alastor? Please!

I hate to come to the last book in a series I have enjoyed. That is why it was hard to start the last book in the Hearts of the Anemoi Series. But., once I started reading it it was very difficult to put down.

This is a fast paced story with many highs and lows, turnabouts and recoveries, followed by enormous losses. Seriously I had a box of tissues at my disposal for the last quarter of the book. But it’s not depressing; change is hard and sometimes tragic.

I thought this book might have an ecological message. I had a feeling Laura was talking about being greener throughout.

It’s a very nice love story as well. Annalise is not a shy, non-sexual innocent, but she has been too busy, too shut away for a relationship. Devlin has rather literally been on the run, he is such a sad god.

I think you’ll be shocked at what Laura does in this final chapter of the Hearts of the Anemoi series. Even for gods, actions have consequences. I was really amazed at how far Laura goes. And, she still has the quality of sincerity in her work. She doesn’t strike false notes in action or dialogue. Ans, her writing has become more and more sophisticated as she has moved through her career.

This is really good stuff! You’ll want to read the entire series before reading this one though. But you definitely want to read the whole series

I really enjoy this series and find the characters to be interesting and varied. The characters have nice personalities. I like that the male characters don't really act like bad guys during the book... this is a good example of a character who is portrayed in other books in the series to possibly be a bad guy, but he never really acts like one.

I really enjoyed Anna and Devlin's story. I loved seeing all of the other gods and their families. This story was emotional, but it was great to see everyone come together to defeat Eurus. I have loved this series and am sad to see it end!

My Review:
There is one single thing that makes this book one of the best of Laura Kaye's that I have ever read...Devlin. This character...just whoa. I don't think my heart has ever ached so much and so painfully for a character like it did for him in this book. I just wanted to hug him and never let him go...something that he's never had in his entire life which is so much the problem.

Devlin's father is evil and as a result, his brethren of the winds have also judged Devlin to be the same...he is so not that guy. In fact, he's sweet and nurturing and protective and so freaking wounded. Gah. When others go to touch him, he literally flinches because he's been so abused for so long. And because he's also been mentally abused, he also self-abuses...blaming himself for not being stronger and unable to save his father from killing his brother. This is a guy is just so wounded...and I fell in love with him for it.

Seeing him for who he truly is, is Anna. Although he terrifies her at first, she quickly realizes just how vulnerable and scarred this guy truly is. I loved her for recognizing that. I love her when she stands up for him....especially to him when he talks down about himself. She's the perfect match for him and I loved them together.

He's been so wronged by both his father and the anemoi who should have been helping to protect and love him. It's hard to watch how hurt he's been by that and for them to truly realize the depth of their injustice to him also.

There were some interesting aspects to this story line and I loved Anna's part of it and where she truly is descended from. I liked how she used his coaching of her to help Devlin in his problems too. Seriously, they were so good together. I was also completely fascinated by Seth and his whole transformation throughout the book. Not much time was spent explaining him, but I did enjoy his part.

There was a lot of transition and changes among the anemoi in this book which were difficult after 4 books with them. I've grown to love these guys and their significant others and surrounding people they love. There's a lot of change in all that in this book...so even beyond the depth of emotion that Devlin brings out, there is just a lot of emotion overall. But it was the perfect ending to the series that I have loved.

I received a complimentary copy of this book in return for an honest review

I discovered Laura Kaye with the first book in this series, NORTH OF NEED, and waited with baited breath for each new addition to release. If you're just getting into the story line, please, please purchase the first three books (available for two weeks in a box set for the unbelievable price of .99!) and start at the beginning.

The first thing I discovered about Ms. Kaye's writing was, I grieved right along with Megan in North of Need, and the emotions just kept on coming as each new book was released.

Now, with East of Ecstasy bringing an end to the series, I found myself pulled into the story, weeping, cheering, and ultimately sad to see the series ending.

Bottom line...one of the best series out today!
