King begins with King being in the hospital with his daughter Lily and her husband. He was recently shot, and now that he's seen Lily's husband he knows that the man has darkness in him and couldn't possibly be good for Lily. So King decides it his job to find out all the bad things about him and get rid of him for her. The problem is Lily and her husband are majorly in love, and Lily's husband is not a man to be messed with.
In comes Evie. Evie is a patched member of the The Last Riders, which is the MC that Lily's husband is a part of. Now Lily's husband gives Evie the assignment to get close to King to make sure he doesn't try to do anything that could put Lily in danger, or worse. But little did Evie and King know that while being together they would actually form a relationship.. These two have a whole lot going against them but they must find away to make it work, or they may regret it for the rest of their lives.
I really liked this book. The beginning had me really captivated by it even though I didn't understand a few things that happened because this is the first book I've read in the series, and because I didn't read the other MC book series. But more towards the end this one seemed to lose a lot of its spunk, and got sort of boring. I did like the main characters however, and the plot line was pretty good for the most part. I'm actually going to go back and read the first book, and more of this series if there will be any.

Overall Rating: 4.5 Rockin’ ★★★★☆
King is the third book in Jamie Begley’s contemporary romance series The VIP Room and characters from her The Last Riders and Biker Bitches series are intertwined throughout the novel. As an avid lover of all of her book characters, it was entertaining catching up with the gang and learning more about their lives together now in the present time. King and Evie’s story begins where Shade’s Fall ended.
King was not there as a father when Lily had needed him growing up and he had made himself a promise that he would be from now on. His first concern was the man that she had married, Shade. Lily deserved someone better and King decided to make sure that she got that no matter what he had to do to insure her happiness and safety. That started with getting rid of Shade. It was important that he get as much information about Shade and his motorcycle club as possible; he needed inside information. King felt guilty about the way Lily’s life had started out with Brenda and her how abusive she had been to his daughter.
Evie was so much more than what the eye could see, she was a sum total of her painful past. The loss of her innocence through rape by her fellow soldiers, the death of her fiancé and the betrayal of her family all contributed to the strong woman that had survived. She uses her sexuality to escape the past and the memories she cannot let go of that deny her sleep and haunt her dreams. She is a woman of many layers that as you peel them slowly back you are left with intense loyalty, a strict sense of justice, honor and love for those within her circle. Her club is her family and her salvation until one day she comes face to face with a man that she cannot forget. At first King planned to use Evie as an inside source of information but the more time spends with her, the more stronger the attraction and desire for her grows.
Shade tells Evie he needs her to go with his sister Penny to Queen City to help her get settled and while she is there find out what King’s plan is and how it will affect Lily. Lately Evie has been feeling restless and in need of a change and this is a perfect opportunity for her to get away and find out what she wants.
Thank you, Jamie Begely for the many hours of enjoyable reading! You Rock~TSRBR

Would I recommend this book: Yes! If you did not feel that Evie warranted a book, you must reconsider and read King. It will totally blow you away when you look at this uniquely resilient woman and the way she does not let her loved ones down.
Would I read other books by this author: Yes! Jamie Begley is a creative genius and each book in this series continues to elevate her to another level. Once again this author does not disappoint her readers.

I was intrigued about King's character after reading the other VIP Room books, and I was so excited that he was getting his own story because I loved him already. When I heard Jamie Begley paired King with Evie I was abit like that's gross, considering our perception of her relationship with Shade as a club member, but as usual oh how Jamie Begley leaves us doubters shocked and eating our own words lol! King and Evie couldn't have been more perfect for each other. Whilst King recovered from his injuries, his mind kept him busy we see his intent to uncover Shade's secrets and break his daughter's marriage up. King put the feelers out through the Predators and set his plan in action, aiming to uncover as much Intel by also using Evie to bring The Last Riders down. The adrenaline was high as Shade and King went up against each other, changing their tactics to eliminate the other, trying to stay one step ahead of the other, with Henry and the Predators in Kings Corner and Evie in Shade's, the funny thing was both men had similar personality traits lol! We learn of Evie's heart breaking past and come to understand her loyalty to The Last Riders and her bond with Shade. My heart really ached for her she was such an amazing woman, and out of all the club woman she was the only one I cared for, I'm not interested in reading about the other female members especially Bliss, as Evie regretted her mistakes and acknowledged how hurtful she had been towards Beth in Razor's Ride, she grew as a person unlike Bliss who shamelessly carried on with her antics. I loved King (The VIP Room #3)because it had so many of my favourite characters together, and it showed so many emotional and happy dialogues, with the focus on how two damaged people opposing the other, allowed themselves to freely love again and heal after everything they endured in life. The chemistry and erotic scenes between King and Evie were scorching, I totally loved this couple as they bounced off each other, and we get to see Evie's character really shine. King was raw, powerful, sexy and dominating, I loved the cover he totally fit the image of King for me. I loved Shade and Lily and her relationship with King, the ending was teary and beautiful. The Last Rider series is unique as stories and characters intertwine, leaving you craving for the next pairing and book release, I'm so excited for Cash and Rachel and Pennie and Jackal's books to come out!

Begley can have me lmao one moment (just think Sex Piston and her crew) then have me dropping my mouth open in shock at the turn events in the story. This book was definitely no different. I absolutely love how the series are combined. Now it's not just about one motorcycle club, but THREE! The Last Riders, The Predators and the Destructors/Blue Horseman.
This story opens doors for a few more books too! At least three that I could see. I see Penni's story coming soon. And Lucky... And more surprising, I can see more in store for Lily and Shade! (I think that's everyone's favorite love story in Jamie's world). I'm really interested to see which book that individual story is going to fall into. There is a world of more danger up ahead for these club(s). I love watching these lives continue on and learning about all their pasts.

Wow, this book had me laughing and crying. Jamie's books are magical because she makes you believe in love and that fighting for it is worth it. Every time I have a favorite character but King he made me love him. Evie was his equal in every way possible. She was strong and vulnerable at the same time. Jamie really shined in this book. Really took her time. That to me is more than 5 stars.

I really like Evie turning her life around and not using sex or alcohol to numb her feeling. Is great King try to turn his life around and clean up his act. This is great second chance romance for both off them. To mess up people find love.
Please RateKing (The VIP Room) (Volume 3)
I must admit that I wasn't too keen when the author announced that she was writing Evie's story, she's a member of the Last Riders and one of the club women. But if there had to be a story featuring one of them I'm glad it was Evie, I honestly have no interest whatsoever to read books featuring the other club women, Bliss in particular.
I liked King and Evie together they were a perfect match, though I did feel the sex scenes were rather low key between them. The other characters from the previous books were fairly prominent as well. There are some new characters that are introduced, one who has a connection to Evie. That seems like it's going to feature heavily in the future. I'm also finding it difficult to accept the fact that Pastor Dean is no more. He didn't seem to waste any time in moving back into club life and all that entails. He's firmly now established as his alter ego Lucky. I was surprised that his former flock seemed to so easily accept that without even a second thought. I like how Shade will go to any length to protect Lily, I just wish it didn't involve Shade telling Lily so many lies, even if they are lies by omission. It also seems now that the two separate series The Last Riders and The VIP Room seem to be merging so you'll need to read both if you want to be kept in the loop.
POSSIBLE SPOILERS HERE............
There's a claim made by Evie in this story about her and Shade. All I have to say is that's not how it appeared in a scene from Knox's Stand. Nor when Shade confessed to Lily in Shade's Fall. How he had enjoyed all the women in the house except for Beth, Winter and Diamond. Or when Lily got upset when the club women went on about how wonderful the shower was in Shade's room, Evie included. Overall I liked this story three and a half stars for me
