Loved it! Jamie once again has written a book with sexy men and with this book your not sure to the end why Casey did what she did.I had so many emotions with this book it will leave you with such a good feeling and of course Jamie gives a great HEA .You want go wrong with a book by Jamie Begley and Stand OFF is another example .

I have loved the reading journey from Razers Ride to Stand Off. Jamie's writing has gotten better and better. Perfect editing and a fast paced gripping story, I was second guessing myself about what I thought was coming, a perfect weaving of suspense regarding Cole and a heart warming happy ending. After Shade I was nervous Stand Off wouldn't keep me enthralled but it did. Just can't wait to read Lucky's story!

I absolutely love the cover for this book and started reading straight away even though I was disappointed this was not Penni and Jackals book.
This was a tricky book to pull off, we know from the synopsis that Casey is going to betray the Predators and since we're reading this book we're obviously MC fans and despite their faults we're loyal and we love these guys. So Jamie had her work cut for her making sure we didn't switch off from Casey but then we have Max, Max has 4 children from 4 different women, all named after him, I spent the first part of the book wondering if he had a condom phobia, and again we still needed to like Max even though he's a huge man-whore.
So we have man-whore Max, loyal to his club and good dad to his kids, when he sees them, we also have Casey, his stepsister who could arguably have one of the worst mothers in the world, rotten childhood, well life really and is prepared to betray the club, we also have loads of our favourite characters making appearances.
Parts of this book were good but I'm sorry to say on the whole it didn't really work for me I also didn't like the whole betray reason thing plus I found parts of it a bit drawn out, my favourite parts were the cameos, I loved the Penni and Jackal parts, he made me smile nearly every time and that's something I never thought I'd say.
Max : "By the way, what was that weird expression on your face...."
Jackal : ".....I was smiling at her...."
Max : "Brother, I have a piece of advice."
"Don't smile. It's scary as f*** ....makes you look like a serial killer..."
I've read every MC book Jamie has written and it's been a bit of a bumpy ride at times but I have to say I'm grateful there was no Bliss in this book.

Stand-off was an enjoyable read but it lacked the spark that was abundant in Riot and it didn’t quite pull off what the title promised to deliver. Casey’s character was sweet and strong as she dealt with a detached mother who only sought her out for money or to lay blame at her door. The chemistry between Max and Casey didn’t do it for me whereas with Ice and Grace it was just on and so hot! The only thing that saved this book for me were the scenes between Jackal and Penni and reading about Cole leading me to re-read their parts. The charming Max I loved was missing along with the baby mama drama resulting in this three star review, despite reading some emotional scenes and a lovely epilogue this book was just missing the usual Jamie Begley touch. I loved that we got to see more of Jackal instead of feeling his silent presence, the guy was just hilarious and I could not stop laughing at 95%. His softer side was sweet as he put his efforts forward to tame Penni his wildcat failing so far in making her purr! I hope the next book is Jackal and Penni’s and pray it has the same spark that I loved so much about in Riot, but I am also excited to learn more about Fade and Buzzard too because I just love the Predators.

I was looking forward to another book in the series but this one was just horrible. I couldn't get into Casey or Max. There is nothing to him besides the fact that he has four kids...with four different woman and still wants to get into Casey's pants. Casey has zero personality and I just couldn't stand to listen to her talk. I was more interested when Ice and Jaccal were in the story. This book is not work reading or spending your money on.

Max's story was worth the anticipation.... It lived up to Jamie's way with bringing her stories together! I loved Max book I have never laughed so hard..... Picturing what was happening was hilarious!!!!

I really thought Casey and max would never get there act together, they are both stubborn and strong willed was happy they finally got there happy ever after. I loved how much max doted and took care of his kids and was so glad to finally find out about her brother and the connection to Lilly. Such a great read.
