Did you ever have a perfect day? A perfect vacation? A perfect meal? And you know if you ever went back and tried to recreate it down to the smallest detail you might come close but you would never feel that overwhelming rightness that you did the first time. Before that you didn't know you could feel that way, so much and so overwhelmingly. That's what the end of this book was like. Eyes open, heart wide open, I absorbed the perfection of the ending of this book and even now, weeks later just thinking about it, there are tears in my eyes. Simply beautiful. Thank you, Jamie Begley

One of the toughest reviews to write but here goes...

There was so much to love about this book, so much to dislike (certain characters & their actions). It made me smile, it made me laugh, it made me angry, it made me swoon, it made my panties melt and it made me cry. Big secrets were revealed and surprising people made reappearances. Vengeance never felt so justified in a book... and you get it multiple times in here! FINALLY!!

I was glad that I did NOT do a re-read of the books before I read this one. Even without doing one, the book was a little repetitive in parts. I LOVED getting Shade's POV on so many things but in some cases, specifically when Shade's Fall was covered, you got the exact same scene (since much of it was told from his POV in that book)... MAYBE it had an extra line or two describing something but overall, that was the most repetitive part of the book for me. Don't get me wrong, you DID learn about some of the sneaky things Shade did to earn him the title of Most Devious Character (sorry, Winter) in that part of the book though, so please, do not skim anything or you might miss out on some key information. Shade is really the ultimate puppet master.

I didn't love hearing about Shade's encounters with the female club members but knew it was inevitable. I get it... Shade was the worst. I just didn't want what seemed like scene after scene of it. The good thing to come out of it though... you got to see that Shade (as well as the other guys of the original eight) never had any emotional connection to those women. They were truly used ONLY for their bodies and for the guys' sexual satisfaction. Now the girls, one in particular... you learn that it was more than that for her, that she wanted more. Can't say I feel sorry for her though, since it was clearly stated that more was NOT an option... repeatedly.

The awesome stuff-

*Killyama- I want to be her when I grow up because she kicks some serious butt! I'm so curious to find out more about her and see if she has some sort of military background because it would explain so much. Fingers crossed that her and Train make their own love connection in the near future!
*Train- Got some great insight to his character and I can't wait for his HEA!! (Note who it should be with above.)
*Vengeance- I mentioned it before but those parts are truly my FAVORITE scenes in the book!!
*Shade's ribbing of Lucky and Rider- Those scenes were super cute and funny! And him saying he prefers Willa's cupcake over someone's p**** was priceless!!

The throat-punch-worthy stuff-

*Lucky- What we found out about him, his "preference" of his type of female... disappointing. Yes, to each his own but seeing it shoved right into someone else's face was heartbreaking. His attitude about certain things/people was just pitiful, in my opinion. Here's hoping his story is next because we need to fix this situation. Fast.
*Bliss- If you were a hater before, your hate will probably multiply by 100 after reading this book.

I really enjoyed the first two epilogues but wasn't a huge fan of the third. It was cool to see some things that happened/will happen but it made me feel like the series was over and I do not like thinking about that!

Shade is a MUST-READ for fans of the series!

Definitely worth the time! If you like to re-read fav books, then this is perfect. It lets you enjoy past books but gives you an insight and also prolongs the Lily-Shade storyline. I never give 5 stars but this one is well deserved! The epilogue just about did me in! If you like the Last Rider series......don't miss this one!
Tied (Devils Wolves Book 2) :: Merry Blissmas (Biker Bitches Book 3) :: Tate (Porter Brothers Trilogy Book 1) - Keeping What's His :: Sex Piston (Biker Bitches) (Volume 1) :: Cash's Fight (The Last Riders) (Volume 5)

I do not normally write reviews on books often but I had to for this book. I absolutely loved this book! The love Shade had for Lily was just so beautiful. I'm still in tears as I write this review from the ending.. I don't want to give anything away but I do want to say that this is one book you should not skip. I can't wait to read Lucky and Trains stories!!

I loved this book!!!! Jamie Begley did it again… every time she writes another book, I don’t think she can top Shade’s fall.. but then Cash’s fight happens and I am in love again… every book is amazing… now for Shade, I was soooo happy she wrote from his point of view finally…

** if you are reading this review before reading the book**
Understand that this book is from Shade’s POV, and starts from the VERY beginning when Razer and Him “SEE” Beth & Lily for the 1st time… it shows his POV from every story she writes… so yes it’s basically a review of all the stories and then it goes into a new story at the end, to open up for Lucky’s book.

With that being said… I am glad she did that, because if you read the other books 1st you will FINALLY understand his depth and loyalty to Lily (also his obsession). We finally learn some back ground stuff that happens, questions finally being answered from some things that happen. It also Shows HOW Shade saved Lily from her demons and how their love grows. You also get to see how the men in the Last Riders bound and how deep their relationship goes. You get an even deeper look into the men’s heads. You learn a lot more about the other members and some personality traits.

Looking forward to:
Lucky & Willa
Train & Kilymama
Rider & ?

There is defiantly some surprises you will love to find out in this book.
So to end this… I really don’t like to give reviews, I like to just keep reading and move onto my next book boyfriend… but I felt very strongly about this book. So for me to write this should show how much this book is Amazing

The only spoiler I will give you is: BRING tissues for when you read the epilogue… I will not say any more than that

What a wonderful read. This was so moving, especially the ending. Still want Lucky's book. Hope it is Will a that is his HEA. This may be a book that shows the other main characters POV, but honestly, I think it is the better of the two books. This is well worth the price and the read. If you are a fan of The Last Riders then don't pass this one by.

Throughout the previous 5 books, Shade's character was always the quiet one, but one with such presence. At first when I started reading book 6 I thought, why are we starting from the beginning again? I loved being able to relive some of the story lines from the previous 5 books through Shade's eyes. You get to understand now why he did some of the things he did, he wasn't being the strong silent jerk that I previous thought. The love story of Shade and Lily is great.

Thank you Jamie, for giving us Shade's POV. Seeing things from his perspective gave me a deeper look into Shades soul, solidifying the fact that, he did love....and he loved deeply, passionately, loyally, and forever. Lilly, having overcome so much, was one lucky lady. Great story Jamie....now on to Lucky!

I love, love Jamie Begley. She has done an outstanding job with the Last Riders Series and even the additional books that have grown off this group. This book Shade, was so soulful. I cried, laughed and yes, I got mad. You can read all these books from beginning to end and not put them down until you've completed them. Great author and excellent books.

This book pulls together, through Shades point of view his whole life, bringing perspective to things yet unanswered. The characters are rich with individuality and uniqueness that keeps the reader grasping for more. Well written and heartfelt, thank you!

I love Jamie Begley - this story was basically the conclusion for The Last Riders series. It focus on Shade and a Lily and primarily and how far Shade will do to protect Lily. I will the ending was touching a fitting end to a saga it tugged at the heart. Overall it had all of the mayhem, hot sex scenes and family values for them :)

Once again Jamie has outdone herself, I loved every bit of this book!!! Shade was instrumental in a lot of relationships coming together !!!! I know a lot of people are upset by Bliss but I feel sorry for her I would love to read her book and find out her POV . As for Lucky I would love it if he ended up with Willa, she could be the one who saves him from himself!!!!!! Thank you Jamie for giving us such amazing books and I look forward to more Last Riders!!!!!

What a story, LOVED reading it from Shades POV. Getting more insight to his way of thinking. I wished Lily would have held her own against Bliss, would love to see her b!tch slap her and put her in her place. I didn't want it to end. I was ready to start at the beginning of series so I can get the full story.... Hopefully Lucky's story is next, wondering if it includes Willa or someone else.

This was absolutely exactly what I expected and more. I know there are some out there that are upset because it basically goes from the very first book to the present. Well guess what that was expected because it was in Shade's POV. It explained better for me some of the scenes in the other books. Like the scene where Lily goes to Razor's bachelor party how Shade lost his mind back in the back. The very end was heart wrenching. I love Jamie's books and I am going to continue to read the rest of her books. Thank you Jamie for such a wonderful read.

I think lily and Shade were always my favorites of th Last Riders. This book made me cry at the final epilogue - I don't normally think about what happens in my romance novels after they live their lives together. This was one of the most touching books I've read (like the beginning of UP and the end of The Notebook).

I was actually re-reading the Last Riders series again and got up to "King" when I realized Ms. Begley had another new addition to her series, which was "Shade". I wondered how she was going to tie up the loose ends (namely, Brooke). And I definitely didn't see Razer's part towards the end either. While I don't condone violence, I can definitely empathize with Razer and his feelings. If he didn't do what he did, Razer and Beth's family along with Shade and Lily's family would be in constant danger. There is violence, but when read in the context of the story, it fits.

I admire how Ms. Begley wove all of the stories together to get to Shade and Lily's end. I always felt that there was more to tell in Shade and Lily's story. Of all of the couples from the intertwined series (Last Riders, VIP Room, Biker Bitches), Shade and Lily are my favorite couple. This couple truly needed one another - Shade and Lily could give new meaning to the saying "The whole is more than the sum of its parts". They were meant to be. To enjoy "Shade" you should read the different series to get the history of how the different relationships were formed and developed.

I initially borrowed "Razer" and though the writing style was choppy, the content of the storyline intrigued me enough to go and purchase it and to read the rest of the series. Although there were just a few errors in grammar and spelling in "Shade", Ms. Begley's writing has improved immensely. I would definitely re-read "Shade" and recommend the Last Riders, VIP Room and Biker Bitches. I would love it if Ms. Begley develop stories for Lucky, Train, Rider, Killyama and Crazy Bitch (Please!).
