Jamie Begley has managed to do it again with writing a book that he readers will love over and over again! The Porter brothers are 3 brothers that make a reader want to experience the adventures and perils they face while finding the one that will be theirs. The women that are their match show courage and strength to overcome the obstacles these three wild men throw in their path to find an everlasting love that is worth any risk. Book one was a must read and I can't wait for the next two books!

I love Jamie Begley' s writing as is captures the roughness in us all and the fiction we wish for. This story line was kinda been there done that for me and the editing needed some definite attention. Ok read, but eh...I'd pass.

There us one thing that kills me more than a cheater, it a mother who doesn't care for her child.

I'm sorry but she was to blame for daughters death. She should of left the moment she was pregnant. She did have parents to go to. For the love of God, he dad was a judge. But she stayed and her pride or plain stupidity killed her daughter.

But the porters mom was even worse, she stayed while her husband beat and almost killed her children.

I don't find him romantic. Cheryl was just a w.h.o.r.e.
Sex Piston (Biker Bitches) (Volume 1) :: Fat Louise (Biker Bitches) (Volume 2) :: Winter's Touch (The Last Riders Book 8) :: Greer (Porter Brothers Trilogy) (Volume 3) - Standing His Ground :: Merry Blissmas (Biker Bitches Book 3)

This is a pretty standard formulaic, "you broke my heart when I was young" romance, except the hero and his family are drug dealers. It's hard to relate to people whose main concerns are patrolling their fields and having their business undercut by other dealers.

I couldn't really connect to any of the characters, and the story line kept being oddly interrupted by references to supernatural abilities not previously mentioned. I wondered if it had been explained in a previous book but no, this is the first of the series. It was confusing.

I don't mind the odd obscenity in books as punctuation or a expression of frustration. I do mind 103 uses of the F word in its various incarnations, including -ed and -ing. It's tiresome and in this book, often out of character. I know some truck drivers who curse, yet none of them would ever tell a friend to "F somebody" on a vacation. A judge theirs around the F -bomb. After a while it loses its punch and becomes meaningless.

Can't recommend. The only new things about this book is making heroes out of drug dealers who are in and out of jail and friendly, jolly bikers.

I was kind of worried going into this book because even though I love all of Jamie's books, the Porter's weren't someone that I really cared to read about with how they act and fight. But Jamie did a bang up job with this one and made me fall in love with them just like the Last Riders and every other character she has wrote. We get to find out way more of what goes on behind closed doors for these boys and that even thought they are rough around the edges, they still have hearts of gold. They just show it in a different way. Loved it and can't wait for the next Porter brother book!

Jamie really worked her special brand of Begley Magic on this one! Deeply emotional, with a fun who-done-it threading throughout the story line, I just had a blast getting to know Tate and Sutton, the one that got away (or was torn away by unforeseen circumstances..sad...just sad).

This one had me tearing up, and I didn't think I would be so emotionally invested, I thought I would have a laugh, and enjoy the sexy-times, but NO...I was sucked in, heart wrenching moments and all...Begley...ya did good!

I loved the family dynamic between the Porters, and I have to say, they made the book for me. Family was a huge theme and I got to say, the Porters are great guys, funny, sweet, charming, and fiercely loyal.

Sutton was a huge surprise for me. It takes a lot for me to LOVE a heroine of a story, but she was great. Totally insecure, but never showed it. Never wined about the things that had gone bad in her life, she just picked up her pants and strode on. And let me tell you...she's had some rough times. Talk about a strong message to keep on going, even when you are at the end.

The Paintball scene and Greer outside the windows had be cracking up! Another romance to love and savor, then read again!

Sutton Creech is back in her hometown. She left at the age of eighteen but now she's going to be staying at her grandfather's home. She's not sure for how long she's in town but she wants to make amends. She used to be very close to Rachel and she wants to tell her the truth. She was not counting on bumping into Tate on her first night back. She had loved him as a teenager but things went horribly wrong for them.

Tate Porter loves his family and would do anything for them. Their family business is not legal but he does what he must to bring food to the table. He was in love with Sutton when he was younger and now that she's back he realizes one thing: Sutton is his and he protects what belongs to him.
He's going to do whatever it takes to make it happen.

~~

So I made the mistake of starting the book at ten last night. I thought "I'm only going to read a few chapters". Nope. Not with Jamie Begley's book. I had to read it in one sitting.

I liked Tate even before this book. Yes, at seventeen, he was immature but I think he just reacted to what he thought was a betrayal.

I was happy Jamie gave Sutton the happiness she needed. She had suffered enough and it was time to build a new life for her surrounded by people who cared for her and that made her smile.

I also enjoyed the humor in the book and seeing some of my favorite characters show up was the icing on the cake.

The Porter brothers are a nice addition to the big world Mrs Begley has created.

Cliffhanger : No

From their very first appearance in The Last Riders books I've loved these Porter boys so I was excited about Tate's book.
I love the craziness which surrounds these guys, the way they interact and the humour.
Tate and Sutton fell in love one summer back when they were young, she stood by him when his parents died she helped and supported him and his siblings, he was her future.
Then they were ripped apart, their futures no longer together and no longer happy and while they've both struggled Sutton truly suffered.
I really enjoyed this book I wish it had been longer but after reading this I can't wait for Greer's book.
In the interests of a totally honest review I have to admit I didn't like the cover and I was disappointed that Tate didn't realise what was happening at the time, ok I'll give him that but he didn't even realise later and then even after basically being told by someone he still has no idea.
Now I'm waiting for Greer's, hopefully he's the next Porter brother although I'm hoping the next book released is Penni and Jackals it seems like I've been waiting forever for theirs.

Keeping What's His: Tate
(Porter Brothers Trilogy Book 1)
Jamie Begley

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!
I swear this book sent me on a rollercoaster ride of emotions. Talk about hitting close to home. I couldn't put it down no matter how hard I was crying. It was so intense and so amazing. Keeping What's His is most definitely one of the best reads of 2015.

Tate and Sutton's story is epic. One of true love and sacrifice. I love how loyal and strong Tate is. His family is his life. Sutton's always been his person too. Sutton is one of the most beautiful, strongest woman. Her story is tragic and heartbreaking. Seeing her strength is wonderful.

Too many woman have been in the same place. A lot aren't able to escape. Even those who do manage to get out of those situations aren't left untouched. We need to speak out more against domestic violence. I think Jamie Begley has done a fabulous job breaching this topic. Keeping What's His is one of the best books I've read.

Keeping What’s His was a great first book in the Porter brother’s series. I’ve been a fan of the Porter brother’s ever since they first appeared on the scene in the Last Riders series. I loved the chemistry between Tate and Sutton they were perfect together. Whilst Tate handled things badly with Sutton years ago, little did he know just how much Sutton was sacrificing for his happiness when she left Treepoint behind. I wish Tate hadn’t hurt Sutton so badly because she was an amazing heroine. Feisty, strong, protective, funny, loving and sweet. I loved how Sutton handled Tate, and her banter between Greer and Dustin had me in stitches, the bathroom scenes were just hilarious, adding to that the paintball scene between Holly and Greer. This book had me cheering for the heroine, understand and appreciate the different layers to Tate, feel the story touch my emotions but most of all feel even more crazy in love with the Porter brother’s.

This book was a pleasant surprised. I often ask myself, can Jamie make her new book as good as the previous one. Well, She nailed it by pulling so many emotions from her readers.

Tate Porter takes his role as head of the family incredibly serious by completing this task with the only resources available to him. You make not like his tactics but you have to admire him for getting the job done while navigating an interest mind field. He was left with the responsibility of three siblings, managing as well as protecting the family business and a broken heart. This was all handled with half the town wanted them to be put in jail and the other half looking down on them.

Sutton, my heart bleeds for her and what she survived. Jamie did an amazing job tackling domestic violence that Sutton experience. She balances these events in Sutton's life with how strength can be born from tragedy. I love independent and strong Sutton is without being needed and feeling sorry for her self. This story is also told with the things we've all come to love about Jamie's book Wit and humor. I of course love most of all is the interaction with the Last Riders. Great read and I can't wait for the next book in this series.

I have such a book hangover after reading this one. I've loved the craziness of the Porters in The Last Riders Series, so I was definitely excited about seeing them with their own series. And it didn't disappoint. Laughter, tears, and steaminess abound in Tate's story.

this was the best ever, no club whores, no having sex in front of one another, no wimpy women saying one thing and doing another, and best off all no votes, i loved this book, it was full of great words.....love, laughter, heart rendering saddness, and best of all two people who made so many mistakes in their lives, but found the courage to find each other again, and realize they were meant to be together. congratulation J . B. breath taking book.
