Such a fascinating book! I am so completely ensnared in the intense passion and drama between Drocco and Cailyn! I cried at his mistreatment of her, laughed each time she defied him, and I'm so angry that these truemates didn't "wake up and smell the roses"! I am in awe of this author and I anxiously await the next thrilling installment of this book. I did read and am voluntarily reviewing an advanced reader copy of this book from Hidden Gems Romance.

This was an incredibly unique, dark, epic fantasy romance – and I loved it!. Drocco, the arrogant, warrior Emperor was overbearing, ruthless and often times brutal in his dealings with Cailyn when he discovered her true identity. Cailyn, although trained as a spy was unable to overcome her natural Omega instincts. Despite her attraction to Drocco, she struggled with the possibility that this monstrous savage was her true mate. Will they be able to put their ‘captor and prisoner’ relationship behind them? Or, has hatred against Drocco already taken root in Cailyn? I look forward to the next installment. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

This story was good but Addison Cain wrote it better in Born to be Bound. This is almost the exact same story only the names are different.
Even has the same ending with heroine escaping at end of the book. You should be ashamed of yourself Zoe Ellis...i want my money back!

” you have a alpha of all alpha a ruler of a large territory he looking for the omega's are the mates then you have Cailyn who is a omega but has come to the castle in hidden magic being a omega took away her free well she a strong and fights for her life . this book does content repeat of rape over and over again if you can get past the first half of book the second half does get better that's why i give it 5 stars you a ruler bent on winning the woman he loves written well great author i cant wait until the next one is out

I enjoyed this book, though be warned, it does end on a cliffhanger.

I thought the characters were very well developed. The push-pull between Drocco and Cailyn kept me going throughout the book, and I especially loved how Drocco dealt with his feelings and his predicament regarding Cailyn. The only aspect I wish we'd seen a touch more of in this book was the mystery surrounding the disappearing Omegas. I wish a few more hints had been given on this mystery. Otherwise, this was a sexy, compelling read. I would read more by this author.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC I received. This is a sizzling sci-fi romance. Conquering King wants to find out what happened to all the Omegas and has a beta historian helping him. Turns out the Beta isn't all she seems to be and wants discovered the conflict between her and the Alpha King is gut wrenching. This is violent and passionate. Sometimes I struggled with the violence against the Beta, given the headlines of today about how women are treated in society. But this is a story, not real life. Remembering that makes this story and entertaining emotional ride. I'll be reading the next installment for sure.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book. This book ended on a cliffhanger and although I enjoyed reading it, I’m not sure I will continue the series. I guess it was just not the type of series I like to sink my teeth into . The storyline consists of the Alpha/Beta/Omega relationships. I liked Cailyn but Drocco was a different situation all together! But, that was okay since the author made sure of that. There were some sex scenes that were difficult to read – be sure to read the disclaimer. I will watch for the next installment but won’t guarantee it will hit my TBR pile.

I absolutely loved this story!
The alpha expects his omega to want to submit to all his demands. He is not only an alpha but also the emperor and demands all he believed he is due. Imagine his response when this is not immediately forthcoming!?!
This is an awesome read about two strong personalities clashing against each other, thrusting and parrying!
Please read this story by Zoey Ellis, you won't be sorry. I can hardly wait for the next book!

Drocco is an Alpha Barbarian Conquer. All the Omagas have disappeared in his kingdom. He brings in a beta historian to find out what happened to the Omagans. She is really an Omega spy. He does dark unexcusable things to her because he's attracted to her. This book is very well written by Zoey Ellis, with a unique story, though dark and explicit. It does leave with a cliffhanger. I was given this book by Hidden Gems and I will be reading the next book.

Great start to a new series! Omegas have disappeared and Emperor Drocco plans to learn all he can about them and discover what happened to them. Caitlyn is a spy for the Omegas and plans to learn what Drocco knows and make sure he never learns the truth. What will happen when she is discovered. This is a fast-paced drama filled read. I loved the characters and the story really draws you in. Loved it! Looking forward to find out what happens next.

I voluntarily read an advanced copy of this book. It is very unique in not only setting but subjects. There are a lot of romance novels and a lot of supernatural novels out there. The way the author combines these two elements is amazing. I felt like you were a talent in the room. So many possibilities for future books as the saga unfolds. I was sad to see this book end so quickly and can’t wait for the next on.

This book starts off intense and goes nonstop. Emperor Dracco is one barbaric alpha he is dark and pure power. Cailyn an omega hidden under the disguise of magic has infiltrated the empire seeking to discover information about the omegas. She is caught and her magic stripped now she is at the mercy of the emperor. Will she be able to find a way to repel his dominance over her or
will she succumb?

The book should be e come with an obvious warning that this was a dark romance ! Rape- emotional and psychological are heavy in this book along with physical sexual abuse. There were chapters that fully mad me want to stop reading book because it was sexual abuse and torture of the female main character.

Having never read this author before, I was very interested to see her style. Let me just say, I will definitely be reading the rest of this series!!
The characters in this book are well developed and the story line is well thought out. With drama, action, steamy sex scenes this book kept my attention until the very end! I actually read it in one sitting!

In essence a love story although a little rough. An alpha and emporer, Drocco and an unknown omega, Cailyn team up for research but some intense moments and unknown feelings come up. The emporer doesn’t like magic but needs a little to figure what’s happening. I can’t wait for the next book to see where this goes. A little bit of magic goes a long way.

I enjoyed this romance. There is alot of graphic sex so if not your thing dont read this. The book has lots of dominate men and a heroine who stands up to her alpha. I love how it’s different then the books about shifters I usually read. It does have it’s dark parts and it ends in a cliffhanger. I can’t wait to see what happens next for Drocco and Cailyn.

An OK read. At the beginning a bit confusing, could have used a prequel. I like dark books, but Drocco's brutality towards Cailyn made me uncomfortable and not in a good way. Ends in a cliffhanger, so be prepared.

WOW! Zoey Ellis has created something special in the opening of Myth of Omega series. While at times, Crave To Conquer takes some very dark turns, ultimately it's a story of hope. Both Emperor Drocco and Cailyn just want what's best for those counting on them. But in their individual quests for "what's best", they're blind to anything outside their chosen path. In competition, this is call target fixation. They can't see beyond their own end game.

What if find the most interesting is that both Drocco and Cailyn have determined their path based on incomplete and flawed understanding of the Alpha and Omega dynamic. Neither of them has the complete story, yet each is certain in the righteousness of their perspective.

Ellis has created a very rich and complex world. Her characters are just as complex and detailed. The sign of a well crafted character is when they can make the reader feel emotion, and Ellis' characters did just that at different times throughout the book. At times, I was equally frustrated with Drocco or Cailyn, or occasionally, both. The chemistry between Drocco and Cailyn is nuclear, and while at times dark, and not for the faint of heart, comes from emotions deeper than either one of them wants to face or admit. I can't wait to see where Ellis takes on the next installment of this series.

Really great book!! Though it is about shifters there isn’t any shifting really it is more about dominance of the alphas and the search for all missing omegas . Interesting story about an alpha seeking lost omegas to save their civilization, when one has been sent to spy on him. This wasn't like others I have read in the genre and it had lots of twists and turns. Overall a good read!

I really liked this book, the progression of the hero from the anti-hero was really great, and the heroine was someone you could really identify with, it ended with a cliihanger which I usually don't like, but I can't wait to read book two. dark and of so good perfectly describes this book.

I volunteered to review this ARC: She wasn't there to spy on him, she was there to learn why the omega's had been treated so badly that they were gone. She was an Omega and she had been taught to hide that from everyone. She knew what she'd been told by the Mothers but she wanted to know if it was true.
The Alpha's are a bunch of guys who think that they know it all and everyone should bow and kiss their boots. Because of their behavior the omega's are gone from their lives and there are some that are dying because of it. They have soul bonded with their mates and then their mates where gone, never to be seen again. The mistreatment of the Omega's resulted in the death of many.
Drocco is a prime example of the Alpha's, he can rule and run a country with fear and death and when it comes to the omega's he is to be obeyed. His mate will be a servant to him and bow to his will at all times because he is dah MAN. He demands loyalty and for that someone in your home must die to prove just how loyal you are, even if it's your 8 yr old sister.

I was fortunate to buy the first three books together, I would have been climbing the wall if I had to wait for this story to unfold. I loved the strength shown by Cailyn and Rocco was pure alpha. The story line was riveting, not just sexual. I highly recommend this book to all who enjoy highly charged relationships.

Brutal story in a new world of magic and mystery. Drocco is the emperor of the Lox. He has a massive army of alphas who have fought long and hard for him. In return the all want to find their Omegas- true mates. Cailyn is an Omega spy working to in Drocco’s castle as a historian. She is undetected due her shields and spells. Drocco is attracted to the beautiful historian. When her undercover persona is compromised Rocco puts Cialyn through brutal torture to find her secrets. A lot of alpha/omega history was lost or forgotten. Both are seeing things through tainted lens. They will have to learn each other. Before that can happen lies and treachery lead to a huge betrayal. The book ends on that betrayal and we have to wait to see how it all ends......

An excellent display of word crafting.

This is one of those stories that unfolds before you and reveals secrets at the same time. You don't wait too long for the mysteries.

The author however has a problem utilizing past tense. It's BRED / Not BREEDED and WOVEN / Not WEAVERED.

I understand what the author is trying to do here; this is part one of an epic story, a saga if you will, not book one in a series. I'd be more accepting of the ending had I known ahead of time it being a cliffhanger

This was my first time reading books on Omegaverses and I thought it was an interesting change on the whole alpha/beta/omega relationship. So I really liked that aspect of the book. I also liked the story line and character development, all of that was done great. What I didn't like...SPOILERS AHEAD.....
Was the touch of darkness in the book. Now I have no issues with dark romance, because I know what I'm expecting and thats what I chose to read. But in this book the alpha essentially raped...yes raped the omega. He tortured her and ripped her lady area apart...and putting healing cream on it afterwards makes it all Better. Then he goes and does it again and again and again until she's ready to die. I think what i hated most about this was that when she expressed what happened to her female leaders they insinuated she wanted it. Who wants to be f*@$ed so hard their pelvis breaks(-_-).....prime example of why the omegas decided to leave.
Although the storyline was good up until that point really I won't be recommending these books to anyone because if the other books are like this first one...well then I'm good.

I had trouble starting this book and when I managed to finish felt wrong about it. The sexual violence is too much. The story starts so abruptly that I spent the entire time wondering if there was a prequel I missed. A bit more introduction or exposition would help in the start. I found myself confused often and trying to backtrack to remember The Who/what/where/when/why.
