Blackburn (Special Forces: Operation Alpha)

Fabulous novella from Brynne Asher, who is one of my faves. The storyline was believable and interesting and and moved at a nice pace. I wish it had been longer but that's my only complaint. 4½ stars

Loved the story of Gabe and Lillian. Short and sweet read and I can’t wait for more from her! If you haven’t checked her other books out you should. Never a disappointment, except when the story ends and we wait for the next great read!

I adore Brynne Asher's books! Her writing always flows seamlessly. Her men are hot and her ladies amazing. Gabe and Lillian do not disappoint. In this book, you get excitement, fun, sweet and sexy. It's a quick read, (or maybe I just devoured it) that will keep you thoroughly engaged!

Loved Gabe and Lillian. This was a quick read and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Had all the things I look for in a book - action, romance and a HEA. Would recommend this author and her books are definitely a one click for me.

This was the coolest workplace romance novella I’ve ready. A quick, fun read. It had action, comedy, scary, angry, heart swooning moments. It was perfect.
I loved Lillian’s southern sweetness and Gabe’s manly/sexy badassery.
My first Brynne Asher book and I am definitely going back for more.
The only thing I’ll say is that I wish there was more! I truly enjoyed this book.

“His wavy-hair game is strong today…” I loved this clever action packed “office” romance. Fantastic humor and great adventure scenes and the heart and heat were so good. Loved seeing both Susan Stoker and Brynne’s worlds mesh with Susan’s Tex and Brynne’s Grady making cameos! The lunch texting where he turned her conversation into sexting was so clever! This was a quick, action packed book that did not lack anything on the love development – the final epilogue scenes will make you chuckle and grab your heart in a nice wrap up! Highly recommend!

This book is sweet, sexy, fun, and suspenseful. Yes, it's all of those things! It's an office romance, but there's an enemies-to-lovers vibe in the beginning and a suspense element as these two find them in a tense situation. I was pleasantly surprised at the turn in the story, as I was not expecting it! I loved Gabe, I thought he was totally swoonworthy. And Lillian is sweet but tough when the occasion calls for it.

Blackburn is a fantastic read, and I highly recommend it!

5 "You Could Break Me" Stars

What a delightful read this novella was. Blackburn was everything I expected from Brynne Asher and so much more. For a novella this book packs quite the punch. From the beginning we go on a suspenseful, wild ride that had me rooting for a happy ending.

Gabe and Lillian have such a connection that you couldn't help but enjoy their story. What I liked best about Blackburn was how Gabe and Lillian grow stronger with the help of each other.

Throw in some action, suspense, sexy times and a Swoon-worthy, Alpha Hero and I am a happy reader.

This is a quick, sweet read with exciting moments, sexy times, some funny dialogue and two very lovable H and h in Gabe and Lillian. I hope Brynne will write more in this Special Forces: Operation Alpha series, although I see that other authors have done so. (Check out the list at the end of this book.) There are a lot of them and I'll have to check them out. Hopefully they're as good as this one as Brynne is a talented writer.

Total alpha male who doesn't think business and pleasure should mix when it comes to the workplace. Lillian Burkette is good at her job and proves this everyday.

Novella's are not some people's cup of tea because they are short and yes I even want more but the ones I have read are perfect for the story. Do I wish this was a longer story, hell yes I do but this one was fast, fun and plenty of steamy moments. I loved this and can't wait to read more from this author.

I’ve read this before. There was nothing new. Nothing to give it more spark. No faults in her other than she snore *eyeroll* yeah I get that it’s hard to reinvent the wheel but at least paint it. New color.

Wow!! This was an amazing story. The characters were developed very nicely. The action and suspense was great. The sweet romance was not rushed. It was built up nicely. I really enjoyed this story and I have found a new author to enjoy her stories .
