Wow, this book starts off pretty hot and dirty, and carries on that way throughout. The hero is the epitome of an alpha hole, although he truly does seem to love and dote on the heroine. Given his past, could he possibly be "justified" in his overly possessive and seemingly obsessed actions?
After a terrible marriage that ends in heartbreak, Nolan, a successful Manhattan lawyer, is a changed man. Then he sees Chloe through the window of the bakery she works at, and she reawakens something in him, he didn't think he'd ever have again. Instantly he's hooked. He simply must own her. Hopefully she will acquiesce willingly, but nothing will stop him from totally and completely possessing her.
However, external forces begin plotting against them. The more serious the danger, the more obsessive and compulsive he becomes to ensure Chloe's safety and ties to him. Can this alpha hero keep Chloe safe? Moreover, can he make her fall for him, and his particular proclivities, thereby ensuring the HEA he is insisting will happen?
All in all, I think this was a decent erotic romance, but the hero did leave me a bit conflicted. Nolan is not a nice man and given his alpha hole treatment of just about everyone, you really don't want to like him. But then the way he would do anything to make Chloe happy, wants to completely take care of all of her needs and desires, and is willing to risk everything for her, turns you around and makes you want to like him. He certainly is not my favorite hero, but I can see how in the twisted world in his head he feels justified for his actions. I think this romance will best appeal to lovers of alpha heroes who want to completely dominate over their cherished heroine.

I just love Aurora Rose! Let me explain why…
Justified may not have a very original storyline, but it is written in an extraordinary way! These 100 and something pages could have easily been more than 300. She could have included so many details, like their first date, his dates in general with her, them spending time with their parents and so many more. She could have. Keyword: could.
But she didn’t. Because (I assume here) she wanted it to be a light and fast read. She didn’t want to dwell on things, she just kept it simple.
Light. Fast. Sexy and Sinful as Hell. Read.
And that’s what Justified is.
I don’t normally like the book, when it’s missing many details. But Justified is the only exemption. Why?
Because despite it being a fast read, you knew where you were, where your characters stood. You knew the situation. You didn’t just magically appear where you are. Everything is explained, maybe not in the first line in the next section -where things may be pushed forward in the timeline- but they are explained. You always knew where you stood with Justified, which for me it justifies the fast pace.
If you can deliver such a fast pace book and tell your story and you simply want to do it, why not do it then?
Everyone has their opinions and I’m not judging anyone here. Everyone is welcome to speak their minds. But, my right blue eye caught a line or two from some reviews on the store that said characters were not well developed. I completely disagree. Yes, it was fast and yes you had to stay focused so that you don’t get lost, but not well developed? No-No. Our alpha man was the same crazy-obsessed with Chloe-overprotective-sexy man throughout the book. Chloe was the same sweetheart who sometimes spoke her mind to her overbearing sexy man and sometimes not. The characters were wonderful the way they were. No, they didn’t change in a dramatic fashion, but they didn’t need to anyway and in fact, not everyone changes in a relationship. Sometimes, we fit with someone so well that everything is alright without changing. So, I simply conclude that they didn’t get the book and that it wasn’t a good fit for them. Because it was fast.

He has been burned in the past so he doesn't necessarily trust the feelings overwhelming him, but he knows he can't let her go, won't let her go. She affects him like no other ever has before and he will do whatever it takes to have her and tie her to him permanently... Whatever it takes, weather she is ready for it or not-she has little say in the matter, he will have her...
I freakin loved this book and I am floored that this author has managed to slip in under my radar-how have I not read any of her books before?! That changes now. If your looking for a story with a deep, meaningful, emotionally charged plot-this is not it. This is more of a hott-as-heck, steamy little romp with lots of sex and a story buried in there, but I'm pretty sure that's all it's meant to be. It's relatively short, but you quickly get a feel for the characters and being told entirely from Nolan's POV leaves little doubt as to what he wants or what he will do to get it. Yes-he came across as an obsessive, possessive, slightly psycho, overbearing, extremely protective, dirty and raunchy, sometimes douche-but I personally happen to love my Alpha's that way and this guy was off-the-charts Alpha. Aurora forced her way onto my One-Click-Addiction List with this one, one curse and blush at a time and the best part? This is only BOOK ONE of a new series! Cannot wait to see where these guys take us next. If your looking for a quick read that gives you an HEA and leaves you in a lust-induced puddle of drool, than I highly recommend this one.

Walking down the street one day Nolan see's Chloe in the bakery she works at and knows right away that she will be his no matter the cost. When he returns to walk her home he makes his move. Now Chloe is his and he has every intention of tying her to him in every way possible. One day when Nolan is out of town for business he gets a call that Chloe is in the hospital. Soon Nolan learns that someone is after Chloe and keeps reeking havoc on their lives. When danger keeps risking Chloe Nolan starts to think the link may involve him. Just when Chloe and Nolan seem to have everything the person behind it all makes one final attempt that may take away the only think that matters to Nolan.
I love Aurora Rose Reed and all of her books but this one needed a little more story to it. Yes the hero is cave man and possessive which I love but adding more to this book would have helped for us to connect more with the hero and heroine when they met and fell in love. The villain was a little too over the top dare I say soap opera esq. for me. This book wasn't all bad but not what I came to expect from Mrs. Reynolds.

I'm not big on starting the story out after they've met and fell in love, I like to watch them get to know each other and fall in love, but it didn't seem to matter, the story was still awesome...
However, just my opinion...I had a couple of things I didn't care for in this short little read though...
*Mild spoilers*
I don't mind the instalove, sometimes it just happens that way.... but if Nolan was so protective of Chloe, almost to the point of being insane about it... why didn't he look into Bre when something first set him off about her? Seems like his henchmen can get info pretty quickly but, it took how long to figure out Bre was connected to his ex wife? And I know Chloe didn't make it easier on him, still talking to her and stuff the way she did, but he also didn't tell her anything other than "I don't trust her" and for someone like NOlan, he seemed to be a bit unresonable and didn't trust a lot anyway, so I don't blame her for not taking him seriously...
Also, what happened to Maxene? She just got transferred and disappeared? Seemed like all her drama was useless to even point out, unless she was supposed to take away from the suspicion of Bre.... Even then, it didn't really work, I just thought they were working together...
Also, who was the dude claiming to be Chloe's boyfriend when she was in the hospital? Did he even ask her about it? And who called him? I didn't get the whole mess.
Anyway, other than those little details, I absolutely loved the story... Quite fitting for Mrs. Reynolds writing style and I loved it!
I know some people probably find Nolan to be too controlling and annoyingly possessive, but I thought it was hot LOL 5 stars from me :)

Aurora Rose Reynolds is one of my favorite authors and I couldn't wait to get my hands on this book. I enjoyed reading the story but I am a little bit torn about reviewing it. I loved Nolan and Chloe but the book in itself felt a little bit rushed at times and I would have enjoyed it even more if it was a little bit longer and starts from the moment they meet.
Nolan is definitely a delicious and drool worthy dominant male :) And let me tell you, he definitely knows how to make you pant even from the pages ;) There are some quite hot and pantie melting scenes in the book that definitely made me feel jealous of Chloe ;) Nolan is really possessive and protective of what's his. He will do everything to protect his woman. But in a way he makes all that look romantic and he definitely deserves to be one of your top BBFs ;)
Chloe on the other hand is quite innocent and trustful. And sometimes that's what puts her in the way of danger. But on the other hand she is quite cute and likable. I would've preferred if she is a little bit more experienced but it was still an intriguing story to read :) In a way Chloe and Nolan just fir together :)

In a few words, this is a short and intriguing story with quite a few hot scenes. Nolan and Chloe and very lovable characters and Nolan is definitely pantie melting alpha male :) I would have enjoyed the story even more if it was a little bit more detailed but I still recommend it and it is a good read for the cold winter nights :)

Justified is the first story in the new Alfha Law Series by Aurora Rose Reynolds. If you know anything about this authors writing style you know that she has a way of writing a possessive alpha male and this story is no different. This is a very short quick spicy read and perfect for those cold nights to warm things up.
This story starts off with a very sexy erotic love scene. Chloe works at a bakery and has caught the eye of rich, powerful, and very dominant attorney Nolan. Having trust issues from his previous relationship Nolan is determined to possess Chloe. He is the type of man that once he sees what he wants he is determined not to let it go Chloe included.
Although this is an insta-love story the author does incorporate some flashback scenes to show how the two met and to give the reader insight into Nolan’s past. I will say I was a little disturbed by the first encounter between the two. To say that Nolan is infatuated and obsessed is putting it mildly. When I mentioned Nolan was a man who was determined to possess Chloe he did that in every single way. Seeing her in the bakery across the street from his firm he becomes enamored with the beauty and from there the game begins. Battling with trust issues due to his past with his ex he does everything in his power to make sure Chloe doesn’t leave his side even going as far as having her investigated and watched by his security team.
My issue with insta-love type books is that I feel like I never know why the couple are so in love with each other. By that I mean there is no build up or not enough information as to why one party is over the top in love. It almost seems superficial as to why Nolan loves her like he does in the beginning of the story. I was a little confused after the flashback into Nolan’s past. The story just shifted into present day when they are together. How did that come about? Last I read he was walking her home.
Majority of the story is told from Nolan’s perspective and I would have liked to have read more of how Chloe felt. I will say that after Chloe’s “incident” she does start to speak up for herself and question his behavior. I wish as a reader I got to see more of that. Nolan seemed like more of a babysitter then a lawyer. I wondered how he even made money since much of his time was devoted to watching Chloe. Some of his behavior was over the top and his antics were ridiculous. For instance he made decisions for their relationship without including her like trying to impregnate her or in his words “breed her.” The relationship didn’t seem as real because of how it was set up by Nolan. Nothing was to chance majority of it seemed as if he was playing her. He mentions she is the perfect age and has not enough experience which makes her easier to train.
My issue with short reads is that the author always leaves you wanting more and that it isn’t nearly enough information given. But I will say that if you like 50 Shade’s and This Man series you will enjoy this book. It is a great mix between the two and just enough to whet the appetite. Like I always say, “don’t judge this book based on this one review but for yourself.”

It has intrigue and mystery, that is right people, not everyone is happy that this couple is together and they go to great lengths in order to make sure she isn’t the one standing next to him.
It also has the hottest sex scenes that she has ever written. I mean ladies, read first sentence again.
So once again I am sucked in with the way she wrote this book. This novella was the hottest little thing yet.

All readers know that Aurora Rose Reynolds knows how to write sexy as hell alpha males who are domineering, a bit obsessive, and completely possessive. The male hero, Nolan, in her newest release, Justified, definitely has alpha like tendencies, but to me, his actions and attitude border more on being a total douche than being an alpha, which may be due to his profession as a lawyer or his need for constant control, especially when it comes to his obsession with Chloe. Or, it may just be because that's who he is. I didn't feel like I really received a full view of everything that made Nolan who he was today, which left me feeling a bit conflicted and made it hard to like him.
Because Justified is such a quick read, it's hard to establish a connection with Nolan or change one's perceptions of him. Simply put, if readers get a negative vibe from his over the top tendencies then it's going to be hard to change that view before the story is over, and unfortunately, that's exactly how I felt. I wanted to like Nolan; I kept trying to find the silver lining in his personality, but just when I thought he was breaking through, he says or does something that leaves me just as confused as I was about him at the beginning.
I'm also a bit on the fence as to how I feel about Chloe. It's hard to really form a solid opinion of her because readers don't get her perspective and we see her on a regular basis bend to Nolan's every command, rarely seeing her as an independent person.
It's not that I hated Justified. I guess I'm just used to meatier storylines and bossy but also sweet alpha males from Reynolds, and I felt like this book didn't hit that mark. I will tell you though that the sex is out of this world hot...Nolan is definitely at expert at using his filthy mouth and body to give pleasure to the woman he loves. There's also a bit of suspense mixed in as well, which is sure to catch readers' attention.
Will my so-so feelings about Justified turn me off of any future books by Aurora Rose Reynolds - ABSOLUTELY NOT! She's a phenomenal writer who has created amazing characters and storylines, and she will continue to do so. The fact that she openly admits that Justified is going to have a split readership because of Nolan shows me that she's willing to take risks even if readers not necessarily agree with them because she's staying true to herself as a writer, and I LOVE that!

Aurora Rose Reynolds took possessive to a whole new level with Justified and I LOVED every single second of it. Ms. Reynolds has always been a go-to of mine when I'm in the mood for an alpha, but Nolan is by far the most possessive, protective, and yes, obsessed, alpha I've ever had the pleasure of meeting and Chloe is absolutely perfect for him.
Usually when I'm reading a novella I have a hard time feeling the connection between the hero and heroine but the connection between Nolan and Chloe was obvious from the first word. Yes, Nolan's an ass, and okay, maybe Chloe is a bit of a doormat, but who cares? It works for them, and it worked for me while I was reading it!
I love the whodunnit aspect of the story, but I love how that's not necessarily the main focus. The main focus totally being the smoking hot sexy times between Nolan and Chloe, of course! But I LOVE how they always end it with "I Love You"... It adds the perfect amount of sweetness to counter balance the hotness.
My only complaint would be that I wish it were longer. And it would have been great to read from the beginning of their relationship, though even starting after they're already together I didn't really feel that we missed anything... That's just me being selfish and wanting more.
I cannot wait for the rest of this series and I'm really hoping we get to see more of Chloe and Nolan, too!

I find myself wondering if we had a little bit of her POV, that would have changed for me. I just wanted to know more.

If you like hot, totally, possessive, over the top ALPHAS, then you will love Nolan as much as I do. Chloe is submissive by nature in everything she does and she is also a sweet girl, but she is not a total doormat and does stand up to Nolan.
I am a huge fan of Aurora Rose Reynolds and her ALPHAS. That being said I really enjoyed Justified, but I have to warn you, if you are a fan of ARR, Nolan is hands down the most ALPHA of her men. He is controlling, obsessive and sexy to the nth degree. In the beginning he is almost scary stalker like, but because we are in his POV I totally understood where he was coming from. I have a feeling fans are either going to love him or hate him.
I really, really enjoyed Justified, it’s an erotic, quick read, with a little suspense mixed in. Once I stared it, it was impossible to put down. Ms. Reynolds turned up the heat in this one, I do believe it is her hottest yet. And I LOVED the epilogue!!!! My only wish is that it would have been longer (yes I need big books from ARR) and that we would’ve had Chloe’s POV as well, I found Chloe interesting and wanted to know more about her. I can never seem to connect fully with characters unless I have both of their POVs. I do think this would have been a solid 5 stars for me if I would have had Chloe’s POV also.

It had a storyline that focused on a very Alpha Lawyer who is very protective of his girlfriend and there are justifications for his worry when someone tries to harm his girlfriends. As the introduction into Aurora’s new Alpha Law Firm series, this is truly her steamiest book yet. The sex scenes between Nolan and Chloe had me reaching for a glass of water to cool down. I can only imagine what Aurora has in store for us with the rest of this series. It is going to be scorching hot!!!

I just finished Justified and I loved it. Aurora knocks it out of the park once again with this new series. Nolan is obsessed with Chloe. He can't help it. Some people would say it is unhealthy. He disagrees. He's justified in his decision making. He's decided to make her his. He wants to protect her. She a submissive little thing and wants him too. However someone else doesn't want them together. Who is trying to hurt Chloe. You'll have to read and see.

Nolan for me at times was a little to possessive maybe that the "un submissive" part of me lol but he was stilly mighty fine. My only complaint and trust me it's tiny, I wanted more from Chloe. Maybe it's because it's in his POV and used to reading both but at times I just thought that she was too quiet.

Aurora Rose Reynolds has never disappointed me with her writing. Everything she has written have been from her heart and it has been one to entertain her readers and that was what she did with “Justified.” She gave us sensuality, she gave us suspense and she us one hellava alpha male Nolan. She knows how to write them boy. This time around we have Nolan who has met his lovely Chloe, she knocked him right smack dab on his ass and he never wanted to get back up after that. They had some obstacles that they had to overcome, some evil from his past that tried to come between them but what those forces don’t understand is that you can never mess with love. I also got some of the most hot steamy sex scenes ever, Aurora knows how to right them boy and for me the dirtier the better. Aurora didn’t need to write a long story, this story was short, sweet and right to the point. It gave us everything that you would want in the, well what I would want in a book and I cannot wait to read the next book in the series.

I reviewed this book on behalf of KatsIndieBookBlog. A very sexy novella! Action packed from start to finish. Nolan is your sexy alpha and Chloe is his more or less obsession. They hit it off really quickly, but as soon as the relationship starts, so does the drama. Someone really doesn't want these two to be together. Nolan has plenty of enemies, but are any of them brave enough or even smart enough to do anything capable enough? With Chloe being his Achilles Heel, his enemy goes straight for her to get to Nolan. For a novella, it is filled with so much but it also leaves little things out too. I wish it had better time frames but you still have to look at it being a novella. I really enjoyed this book and would recommend this book to anyone who love there Alpha's as much as I do!
