Flynn - hot, sexy and founded one of the most successful tech start-ups of all time and then was smart enough to sell and become a multimillionaire! He's the complete package in my book! However, he has a hard time with women and relationships...they tend to only care about his money. He's given up on love and romance in his life....until that night at the party where everyone had on a mask. He meets someone and has a one-night stand. She left him feeling more than he should.
Sabrina - sexy, sweet and unfortunately just lost her job at the newspaper. Her sister makes her attend a masquerade ball and it's there she meets a gorgeous man. She thinks why not have a one-night stand as long as they both keep their mask on. However, he stays on her mind after that one night.
Karma is an interesting thing sometimes. Sabrina lands a free lance job interviewing the rich Flynn Parker............
Great story!! Loved Sabrina and Flynn together!! Lauren Blakely's book are always such a joy to read because they captivate me from the beginning and they are believable!!

Another amazing story by Lauren Blakely! She continues to write wonderful stories each one just as great or better. This was Flynn and Sabrina’s story. Flynn doesn’t do relationships and Sabrina just got out of a bad romance. Neither want anything in that department. There is a masquerade ball they both are to attend. Sabrina decides with nothing going really great at the moment to have fun with this ball and enjoy herself. Flynn attends and never expects it to be anything else than the usual for these events.
The chemistry sizzles between them and it’s too much to withstand for long they decide a one night of passion is worth what they desire and give in to each other. However things aren’t as easy as they seem and they soon find out fate has other ideas.
Loved this story it was an amazing tale that keeps the reader interested and engaged as well as eager to find out what will happen throughout. I enjoyed it and would highly recommend to others.
I voluntarily reviewed a copy of Come as you are.

Looking for your next sexy swoon-fest? Well look no further because Lauren Blakely does what she does best in Come As You Are and you'll fall in love instantly with Flynn and Sabrina. Blakely brings magic to every story she tells and in this one, readers will be enchanted with not only the characters but also with the setting and the adventures that they embark on. Under normal circumstances, I'd say that Flynn and Sabrina had a fun "meet cute" but there was nothing cute about their first encounter. Oh no.....these two set the world ablaze with their masked attraction in a hot, hot, HOT secret library rendezvous at a masquerade party. I absolutely loved this part of the story and how freeing it was for both characters. Their unbridled attraction to each other coupled with the air of mystique made for some imaginatively fun times for this Angel and her Duke which ultimately set the tone for their romantic story.
Flynn and Sabrina's romance beyond their first night comes to a screeching halt when they begin working together. However, as they start to spend more and more time together, their adventures take on a new twist as they fight their growing feelings for one another. The sexual undertones intensify with every encounter they have and their witty banter turns more suggestive with each flirty text and poetic recitation. The story becomes a slow burn after their initial passionate night and Blakely does a fabulous job ramping up the sexual tension. These two have chemistry in spades!!! As always, Blakely's characters are well developed and incredibly written. Flynn is smart, sexy, extremely successful, adorably nerdy and has a heart of gold. But he's been burned before so he has his reservations. Sabrina is smart, confident, independent, creative and a true go-getter. She's also been hurt before and has built up walls to protect herself. Both have huge hearts and go out of their way to help others. Flynn and Sabrina's characters work incredibly well together because they have so much in common. They are like two puzzle pieces who were missing their mate---when they finally connect, things instantly click into place. Their romance is perfectly written and will make readers swoon something fierce!
I have come to rely on Blakely not just for outstanding stories but also for the knowledge she constantly imparts on her readers in each book she writes. Born and raised in the NYC area, I learned so many interesting tidbits about the city I've practically grown up in! Add in some cool math facts and some adorable jokes and I can honestly say that Ms. Blakely truly schooled me! Come As You Are had me laughing and smiling while simultaneously getting me hot and bothered. It is incredibly written and I often found myself thinking how poetic the author's words were. The story flows beautifully and I enjoyed every second of it. Don't miss this sweet and fun love story because it is most definitely a 5-star read!

Lauren Blakely always gets me with her covers. She has the most sexiest covers EVER and I always want and need to read her books once I see those delicious abs or sexy as sin men on her covers and as I start reading the story, I just picture that gorgeousness as the lead character.
Come As You Are was one sexy little stand-alone with some crazy funny banter between Flynn and Sabrina. They meet at a masquerade ball, both wearing masks and have one crazy night of sex against the wall that leave them both wanting and wishing for more but Sabrina takes off like Cinderella. Good thing they did get each other's digits and they were able to schedule a date to meet face-to-face. But Sabrina is asked to cover a story on none other than the multimillionaire, who happens to be none other than Flynn. So obviously there is a conflict of interest so they can't pursue what they wish they could because she has to cover a story on him.
But Sabrina and Flynn spend a ton fo time together so she can get her cover story and she wants to get it perfect because it's for a publishing company that she's hoping she will get hired permanently by impressing the owner with a kick-ass article.
But as much as Sabrina and Flynn try to suppress their feelings for each other, it keeps getting harder and harder because they're spending so much time together. Flynn is also skeptical because he's had women proposition him because of his money. He just wants to find a girl that will like him for him and not for his wallet size and he's starting to slowly realize that Sabrina could be the one for him.
Sabrina and Flynn were the perfect nerdy couple that I've ever read! They were both sexy, funny and smart people that made a perfect fit. How can this relationship go wrong??
I was so enamored with this book. I was completely engrossed from beginning to end and I just couldn't stop laughing at how crazy these two were together. I loved all the smartness that was going on in this book!
Lauren Blakely knows how to write a kick-ass book! A book that will have your undivided attention at all times!!
Another spectacular 5 star book for this amazing author!

Another swoon worthy book by Lauren Blakely. This one gives us Flynn Parker, hot as sin nerdy multi-millionaire. He is the twin to Dylan Parker that we all fell in love with from The Stud Finder and oh my, these men. Flynn is hard working, constantly looking for new tech ideas, a brain as large as his ... and as jaded as they come when it comes to women. He has been burned by some real leeches so he isn't trusting anyone that isn't his immediate family. Everywhere he goes someone is pitching an idea to him or asking him to fund something or just out and out give them money.
Sabrina Granger is a word-nerd reporter, freelance and loves the business sector far more than the entertainment so she loves writing stories about the up and coming business techies and what makes them tick. She is living in New York in her cousin’s apartment for practically pennies and trying desperately to keep not only herself afloat but also her brother Kevin who is going to Divinity school. Their mother Maureen left them years ago and Sabrina has raised Kevin and herself on their own. She also has trust issues and is in desperate need of some good luck. Her friend Courtney talks her into coming to a fundraiser to try to network and hopefully get some leads on a new job and it is a masquerade type party/fundraiser. Sabrina is excited, as a teen she read lots of romance books of Dukes and masquerade balls and being swept off her feet by the handsome Prince or Duke and living happily ever after. Now it gets really good....... No more info, you will want to discover what happens on your own but trust me Lauren Blakely NEVER disappoints and she doesn't with this book either.
This was such a touching story, and one we all deal with at times in that it is about learning to trust even when you have been burned time and time again. Life is about choices and some are not easy but we are designed to love and be loved no matter that it hurts sometimes. This story shows us we can be both strong, independent and also allow ourselves to need someone else, to show our weak side and it be ok in the end. This also shows us how two people from two different walks of life can have so much in common and find true joy in the simple things in life and it not have to be about how much money you have or don't have. I also loved that once again Lauren takes us on a not so traveled path around the city of New York and shows us hidden treasures. I always feel I have been there with the characters of her books when I finish reading and that's a true sign of a great writer. To make you feel and see what's happening in the story. If you follow Lauren like I do then you will catch glimpses of people from other books which I always love. Can you tell how much I enjoyed this book? I received an early copy to read and review and give my honest opinion. I loved it. It made me feel happy, sad at times, hot and I mean hot at others, and hopeful for the HEA we all want. I highly recommend this book; you will love it.

A millionaire has an anonymous tryst with a mystery woman at a masquerade ball? Why, yes, Lauren Blakely, I WOULD like to read that story! The author always gives her books I’m blushing just thinking about the deliciously naughty, clandestine circumstances that brought two strangers together in the author’s newest release, Come As You Are. With an oh-so-delectable hero, a heroine who’s a vivacious force of nature, and a romance that’s both adorkable and scorching hot, Come As You Are provides plenty of reasons to make you smile in delight, sigh in contentment, and melt in a puddle of swoon. Come As You Are had me hooked from page one and captured by unwavering attention right up until the very last page.
With faces hidden behind masks and identities concealed by costumes, protagonists, Flynn Parker and Sabrina Granger, meet at a masquerade ball. Sparks fly, flirty banter is exchanged and, like a masked hero straight from a masquerade ball in one of the historical romances Sabrina devoured as a young girl, Flynn whisks Sabrina off her feet. They engage in wild, unrestrained, carefree passionate sex, and plan to pursue their attraction beyond the ballroom. Reality intrudes, however, and their would-be romance comes crashing to a screeching halt. Their relationship is forced to switch gears from romantic to professional, yet an undeniable spark remains between them, as does a heaping amount of sexual tension. Both Flynn and Sabrina are torn between what their brains are telling them what to do and what their hearts and bodies desire.
While there are many things to love about Come As You Are – a fun, lighthearted storyline, witty, engaging dialogue, and just enough angst to tug on your heartstrings (to name a few) – what makes this book so memorable is the connection between Flynn and Sabrina. They have this easygoing rapport and similar tastes, both personally and professionally. Their chemistry is off-the-charts and impossible to ignore, no matter how much they may try, while their intimate conversations, and games of pretend and what-if build the hunger between them to a maddening, all-consuming degree. I was glued to my Kindle for the entirety of the story, experiencing a whirlwind of heart-pounding, gut-wrenching emotions, and I couldn’t help but be wholly invested in the outcome.
A little nerdy, a bit forbidden, and a whole lot sexy, Come As You Are is another must-read romance from Lauren Blakely. The author delivers a swoon-worthy, hopelessly romantic love story that’ll leave you completely and perfectly satisfied.

Sabrina Granger is a struggling journalist recently jilted by her fiancee shortly before their wedding. Sabrina has always been obsessed with historical romances and fantasizes about a prince sweeping her off her feet some day. “Mistaken identity, playacting, lords in disguise—all of it was so delicious” to Sabrina. In her fantasies the hero and heroine would both be in disguise because a prince would never fall in love with a commoner like her. Rejected by love, Sabrina is solely focused on her career and desperately needs a job. When her best friend invites Sabrina to a charity fundraiser masquerade party, Sabrina gets the chance to live out her fantasies, repurpose her wedding dress and network at the same time.
Flynn Parker is not your typical computer geek. He is a rich, hot, confident and a successful entrepreneur focused on his company and launching his latest app. Flynn has been fooled in love before and knows his wealth makes him a target to gold diggers so he doesn't trust easily. For the masquerade party, Flynn decides to dress all in black and wears a mask to cover his eyes. Flynn is frequently approached by people who want to pitch their ideas or ask for money. Wearing a mask means he won’t be recognized and he will have the freedom to be himself. At least for the evening he doesn’t have to worry about the other guests’ motives for approaching him.
When Flynn spots Sabrina at the bar he admires her stunning figure but is most intrigued by what she is wearing! The imagination needed to create her costume reflects a sharp mind which in Flynn’s opinion makes her even hotter than how she looks! Flynn plays along with Sabrina’s desire to keep their real identities a secret, instead assuming the role of the man who sweeps her off her feet and onto the dance floor. Ridiculously turned on by their attraction to each other, Flynn and Sabrina take advantage of their anonymity to take what each is offering.
Lauren Blakely has a wickedly delicious sense of humor which she combines with wordplay to keep readers continuously entertained. In Come As You Are, she pulls back the curtains and strips away all pretense to show two people falling in love while being their truest selves. Perhaps instead of using Match.com us singletons looking for love should wear a mask and keep our identities secret when we go out. Besides adding an air of mystery, the freedom to be yourself (or who ever you want to be), should also improve your confidence when meeting new people!

Once again Ms. Blakely has written a book that captured me from page one. Flynn Parker is the quintessential Blakely Hero and I loved every single thing about him! He’s charming, intelligent, kind, has a sense of humor and oh my goodness between the sheets he’s ALL THAT and SO MUCH MORE!!
More importantly though is how much I fell in love with Sabrina. She’s beautiful, independent and extremely loyal to those she loves. She can absolutely hold her own in conversations which in today’s world can be somewhat rare especially with men and women her age. But most importantly, she isn’t willing to change who she is to find that forever love.
When these two meet at a masquerade party there’s chemistry in spades and well, one thing leads to another and it’s an experience neither wants to forget and would most definitely like to happen again. And so begins the heart of our story, written with flare and humor while also tugging at our heartstrings. The more I read the more I fell in love with both of them but more importantly with them as a couple.
While their love story kept me engaged the entire time, the backdrop of New York City also played a pivotal role in this book and it’s one of the things I love most about Ms. Blakely’s books….her attention to detail with the setting of her books. The luxury and fast-paced life on New York City could be felt as almost a third main character. This isn’t easy to do sometimes either. But this once again highlights the dedication Ms. Blakely pours into each of her books.
This is another must read from one of my favorite authors. It’s a stand-alone so go ahead and “Come As You Are” to a world where being who you really is more than good enough!

The mouths of the men in masquerade were made for sin. For making a woman weak in the knees—drunk on a kiss.
Another Lauren Blakely book read, another Lauren Blakely book loved. I’ve just finished Come As You Are and I can’t wipe the smile off my face. It’s a sweet and sexy story, a fun twist on both the forbidden love and friends-to-lovers trope, and so incredibly easy to just enjoy.
Perhaps it’s the way that Flynn and Sabrina verbally spar—delighting in grammar and patterns and puzzles. Or the way their little touches feel so intense and so right. Or maybe it’s the way Ms. Blakely uses the city—New York City, that is—as a third character in this story. Exploring with Flynn and Sabrina is as much fun as their other, more personal moments, and I am always so blown away at this author’s ability to make the setting so vital to the story.
After all, this book wouldn’t be this book without keys and elevators and lampposts and abandoned stations.
Just like this review wouldn’t be this review if I didn’t take a second to explain one of the biggest things I loved about Come As You Are—the way it brings to mind Far Too Tempting. It remains my favorite book penned by Ms. Blakely and, forgive me this pun, it’s far too tempting to see parallels between this book and Matthew and Jane’s story—in a good way, of course. It made me smile to think of my favorite couple, to see shades and hints of them in Flynn and Sabrina.
A smile I simply cannot wipe that smile off my face . . .
“Okay, you’re too tempting. You practically seduced me with a pineapple and the Fibonacci sequence.”
I pump a fist. “Nerds for the win.”

I needed this kind of love story in my life right now!
I Enjoyed this book immensely, I just loved every second of it.
From the beginning, Sabrina and Flynn where a perfect match. Who hasn't fantasized about the mysterious Masquerade encounter where you get to fall madly in love with a stranger? We have all seen the Leo Di Caprio's Romeo and Juliet (dreamy sight). And in this book we get to experience it along with the main characters.
The connection they had was instant, even though they couldn't see their faces completely they felt a pull that was more important than looks and that they were certain would translate in not only the best sex of their life, but also a night they will forever remember.
Something changed when they met, Flynn hadn't felt like this in a long time and his mystery woman felt like a glass of water in the desert, he was tired of people wanting him from who he was and the anonymity was just what he needed.
Sabrina was going through a rough patch to say the least, life had been hard on her and she just needed to let go for a night, and she found freedom under her mask. What she definitely wasn't expecting was this sexy mysterious Duke who she couldn't figure out.
But life had other plans for them and once the spell was broken and real life collided with fantasy they realized that maybe their love was not meant to be.
Some things are worth fighting for and maybe risking it all will give you what you didn't even know you wanted or existed.
A beautiful story, I couldn't be happier with the characters, they were just PERFECT!

Charming standalone romance, high-tech nerd/ CEO meet newly single/ ready to mingle Sabrina. I really adore both hero and heroine in this book. Flynn is brilliant, successful, rich, commanding CEO in the boardroom but outside of the work the guy is totally swoony – sweet, charming, sexy, carefree, love quoting historical romance – an old soul. Flynn’s only flaw is that he has a tough time trusting people, borderline on the paranoid side . Men are cornered him to pitch business ideas and women are after for money. Flynn dated many women but yet to find real love.
Sabrina is a complete opposite of what Flynn is used too. She is not interested in his business or money which is a breath of fresh air. Sabrina is a bit jaded with men at the moment but she is done with being lonely and sad. Sabrina is looking for some fun and that’s exactly what she got when she met the mysterious, handsome man at the Masquerade party – dancing, grinding, hot and passionate against the wall sex. Sabrina’s fairytale ended that night. She left her prince charming behind. The very next day things got a whole lot complicated when Sabrina found out her subject of affection is actually the CEO (yes, the one she knew intimately) she supposed interview for her job.
Come as You Are is yet another sweet, fun, lighthearted romantic read from Lauren Blakely. I love all the flirty banters, undeniable chemistry, passion, the interviews/non-dates where two people hand-in-hand exploring beautiful places in New York – it is all very romantic. Will Sabrina’s opinion of the CEO versus the man she is falling in love with be different when it comes to writing her article?
Another fun, swoony, sexy romance ... yum! Loved it! <3

Every book I read by Lauren Blakely becomes my new favorite. I absolutely adored Wanderlust and visiting Paris through her eyes, but Come As You Are makes me want to drive straight to New York and visit all of the wonderful places described in the book.
I love reading the dual POV perspectives of both Flynn Parker and Sabrina Granger; I feel you get to know what each character is thinking with this writing style. In order for me to give a five-star review I have to really admire and respect both characters, their choices, and their journey together, and this book delivers on all counts. I read this book in one day because I just couldn’t stop. FYI–Flynn’s twin brother is Dylan from Stud Finder and he and his wife also appear in this book as well as their sister.
Both Sabrina and Flynn are immediately drawn to one another and act on their passion when they first meet at a masquerade ball, yet they keep their identities a secret. Later that night, he texts her and they decide to meet the next day for a real date. I really loved their witty and suggestive texts and their nicknames for each other. They were classy, fun, and flirty without being vulgar.
When they meet and reveal their names they realize, to their great disappointment, that they will be working together and therefore must not become romantically involved. Sabrina was hired to interview and write a feature about Flynn who is a tech genius and wants to be objective and fair. She needs this big break to jump start her career as a journalist, and he is still feeling out her intentions as he has been hurt before by woman who are only after him for his money and status.
This is the part of the book I like best…their evolving friendship. They each take time to share their interests, their pasts, their heartbreaks, their goals for the future, and their mutual love and respect for their siblings. They enjoy simple things like exploring parts of the city, long walks, and actually talking and spending time and getting to know one another. Their attraction can’t be denied and you feel their desire and longing on every page. I love that Flynn isn’t the typical bad boy that you read about in other books. He is a hero that I admire and would love to date! He is very genuine, down to earth, a caring boss, friend and brother, funny, super smart, and sexy too! He wears glasses (sighs) is very attentive, charming, and thoughtful.
In real-life I would want to be Sabrina’s best friend! She is witty, loyal, confident, independent, selfless, sweet, sexy, sassy, and smart. She’s also very down-to-earth, creative, and a bit quirky. I love how they continue with their in-character dress-up dates which keeps their relationship passionate and exciting and serves as a reminder of how they first met.
As with all Rom-Com books, this one has a very happy ending. I especially love, love, love the Epilogue and bonus chapter! Thank you Lauren!

“He grips me harder, groaning and turning wild. Saying my name. The way it sounds from his lips, like a benediction, like a roc song, like a primal scream of pleasure, is the highest high.”
I would like to start this review off by saying thank you to Lauren Blakely for her words. This woman knows how to write a story like no one else. She gets you completely lost in her books and her words will have you so hypnotized that you will have no other choice but to devour her book in one sitting. This was the case when I read “Come as You Are.” I had no other choice but to fall deeply in love with Flynn and Sabrina. These two had such great chemistry and the banter between the two of them was so much fun to read. To watch Flynn open up to Sabrina on another level was so beautiful to watch, and to see Sabrina try to move on with her life and find love again was even more beautiful. The entire time I was reading this book I had a smile on my face, their reaction and conversation with each other will most definitely so that to you. That’s another that I love about Lauren’s books, the dialogue makes you feel like you are there with the characters. You know, like you’re right in front of them enjoying all the silly banter, her words just comes to life right in front of your eyes.
I seriously did not want this story to end because I just love everything about it and I felt so close to the characters after I was done. At the end of it all I got done with this book with a huge smile on my face knowing that these two characters got the HEA that they deserve.

Once more Lauren Blakely has done it again, written a book that has the most wonderful man in it. I’m so in love with Flynn who is a thoroughly nice guy with such an awesome personality. Having been bitten in the past by a woman who wanted him for his bank balance. Flynn just finds it hard to trust women. As soon as he met Sabrina it was lust at first sight.
Our heroine Sabrina is feisty, intelligent who also has plenty of heart. I loved this book, it was entertaining, funny and Lauren at her best. I can’t wait to get the audiobook. They first meet at a masquerade party, both wearing costumes and masks. They just clicked and decided to meet again. Of course their journey to their happy ever after is paved with great entertainment. This one is a must buy
I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Come As You Are grabbed my attention right from the start! Sabrina and Flynn meet at a masquerade ball and this book twists into a modern day Cinderella story! He is the multimillionaire just trying to be himself and she has been trying to make ends meet after being burned by love. It is her night to escape life and have fun. Their chemistry is immediate and their first encounter ends up being hot, sexy and steamy and just like Cinderella, she leaves. No names are exchanged and they are both left with unforgettable memories.
So at a chance encounter, when the masks are no longer able to hide the reality of their true identities, can they still have their fairytale ending?
The best added bonus to this book was enjoying some of New York Cities greatest treasures through the eyes of Sabrina and Flynn.

Lauren Blakely is amazingly talented writing all forms of romance. But books like Come As You Are are where her brilliance really shines. It's a rom-com, which seems to be where she's settled these days, but the "rom" was extra sexy and the "com" was extra witty, and together they made an incredibly entertaining book.
Flynn is a rich, hot nerd (we met his twin brother - another rich, hot nerd - in STUD FINDER) who is lamenting his bad luck in love. He just wants to find a girl who doesn't bore him, is easy on the eyes, and most importantly, doesn't give a fig for his money.
Sabrina is also striking out in the romance department. After being left at the alter and then losing her job, she's been in a deep funk. But, being the romantic she is, when her BFF invites her to a tech-themed masquerade party, she jumps at the chance to play the part of someone who is not her.
I could get lost in him. I could get lost in his kiss, his rough and tender touch. I could disappear into bliss, and let it consume my hurt. The pleasure would burn away any lingering ache from the past.
As you can imagine, Flynn and Sabrina meet at the party, not knowing who each other is, and have a wild time. Seriously - who knew Lauren Blakely could do dirty talking like this? And, chalk one up for the hot nerds - they seem to be the dirtiest of all the men out there.
Both are flying high after the party until it's discovered that Sabrina is the journalist hired to write a magazine article about him, and for professional reasons, the duo decide to keep their interactions strictly business from here on out. But, that horse has already left the barn, and the ensuing sexual tension as they try to fight their attraction is the absolute best part of this book.
We were each better off not knowing who the other was, when we slipped on our masks and made believe we could be people we weren't.
As Sabrina interviews Flynn for her article, they end up seeking out all the obscurely fascinating parts of New York City. And, while they do so, they learn more and more about each other. And learn they are the perfect match. Their banter is so entertaining and feels completely organic. Flynn and Sabrina may be my favorite Lauren Blakely couple of them all.
Through pineapple math and park benches and romance book dukes, Sabrina and Flynn discover their soul mates in each other, and watching them wade through the particulars of how, exactly, they were going to make that work amid some big complications made Come As You Are one of my favorite books so far this year.

Come as You Are is Lauren Blakely’s next brilliantly sexy standalone novel. I have read every word this woman has written and I will never get enough. Never. Her stories are fresh, addicting, and make me fall in love every time. I haven’t met a Blakely Man that I haven’t fallen in love with. Some more than others but it’s always love. If you read Stud Finder than you might remember Flynn, Dylan’s twin brother. Well...this is his story!!
It all started when a Duke saw an Angel. It was a magical night of witty banter, flirty fun, and filthy sex against the wall. It ended with a text.
The last eight months of Sabrina’s life has been a whirlwind of chaos. Then in one night things seemed to come together. She was able to let her guard down with a sexy stranger who made her feel alive. To feel wanted. To feel sexy. To feel like she could do anything. She might not know what he looks like but she sure knows how he feels and she wants more. It wasn’t just about the sex either. It was about his words. His wit. His nerdy side. So when he wants to meet her the next day, she says yes. That was when her two worlds collide. He is her next story. The story that would land her her dream job. She knew it was too good to be true. To feel a connection to only find out that he is off-limits.
Flynn wanted one night to be hidden. He was grateful for the life he had. He worked hard for it but he didn’t want any proposals tonight. Not business or marriage. He wasn’t against love. He was against gold diggers. He didn’t know who he could trust. So, why not hide behind the mask for one night? He had no idea that he would see an angel. An angel who made him laugh. An angel who was smart, and sexy. An angel who understood his costume. And when that angel loves his dominate side, it’s the hottest f- thing he had ever seen. Her becoming undone. He wants more. And when he discovers that his angel is actually Sabrina, the reporter he is both determined and sad. He knows she is off-limits but he doesn’t want her to be.
Flynn and Sabrina’s relationship is complicated and easy at the same time. They have to spend time together for the profile that she is writing. They need to concentrate on the work but why not discover the hidden places of New York City at the same time? See each other’s favorite places. Find new ones. Talk about life, love, and loss in the city they love. Can they spend their days together without the hot nights? Will Sabrina get her dream job? Will they take the risk of being together?
I fell hard for this book. The characters. The city. The love. The laughs. The nerdiness. Flynn is the definition of nerdy hot! I can just picture him with his black glasses and sexy abs while quoting my favorite books. Yum! And Sabrina, she is a strong woman who doesn’t want Flynn for his money but for him. All of him. She is brilliant, beautiful, and doesn’t back down from a fight.
Overall...Together, these two are amazing!! The connection is beautiful. The sex is f- hot. Those scenes were some of Lauren’s hottest ones yet. I also loved that they had their differences but they also had some of the same passions. I want to go to NYC!!
P.S. Daisy seems like a cool chick.
Quotes:
“Are you in a rush to read something?” she asks coyly.
Flynn is a pattern I want to make over and over. He’s a word I never tire of using. He’s a song I can blast in my earbuds all night long.
“You can’t quote Andrew Marvell, especially when his words are all randy. I told you poetry is an instant orgasm for me.”

4.5 Crazy Ass Stars!!!!!
Once, again Lauren Blakely has delivered a great read. Low drama, high on love, sweetness and swoons.
Flynn and Sabrina's story while it did have a little bit of drama thrown in with the crazy mother and some surrounding an Evil Kermit, it was more loaded in the love department. There's also a little in the life-altering decision that each of them have to make.
Flynn and Sabrina's jaunts around New York City and their interactions had me falling in love and swooning at all that sweetness that came out of Flynn's mouth.
What has me though, is all the interesting little facts and places about NYC. The next time I'm in the city, I will be checking out a few of these. I just have to see the benches and the Elevator Museum.

I am pretty sure that Lauren Blakeley is the queen of writing sexy romantic comedies. When I need a good laugh while swooning I know her books will deliver. Come as you are was exactly that. I loved turning the page not really knowing what to expect next.
Flynn was fun, sweet, and so swoon worthy, all while being a bit of an alpha. I loved that there were so many sides to him. Sabrina, she added just enough sass to make them the perfect pair. I love that she was completely clueless as to who Flynn was, that makes the falling that much better. When she finds out, will her feelings for Flynn stand in the way or will they be able to find a balance?
Come As You Are could easily be my favorite Lauren Blakeley book yet.

I absolutely LOVED this book! Every so often I like to read a book in which there's little to no drama or angst, and that's pretty much what I got with this story. I loved the chemistry between Flynn and Sabrina, it's pretty hot right from the start, even if Sabrina has no clue who her Stealth Startup really is. The banter and dialogue between them is fresh, sharp, witty, sexy and sweet. Flynn hasn't let success go to his head; he's actually pretty humble and laid back. Sabrina isn't necessarily looking for a relationship, she's got more pressing issues to deal with, first and foremost being her employment, or lack thereof. I enjoyed seeing how their feelings for each other evolve throughout the course of the story. A solid read that I highly recommend!

Leave it to Lauren Blakely to take the most simple of story-lines and make it truly magnificent. I just loved the tale of the Duke and his Angel and their quest to find a way to keep their burgeoning romance alive when it could ruin everything for both of them.
The multi-millionaire and the struggling reporter. Flynn and Sabrina meet in the most exciting of ways, hiding behind masks and keeping their anonymity as they have the most delicious of trysts at a costume ball. Right from the start, we are thrust into their unexpected attraction, only to realize a short time later that Sabrina is interviewing Flynn for a publication that could give her a reliable income yet she doesn't want her 'relationship' with him to spoil her chances.
These two face quite the conundrum but their chemistry is undeniable and each and every 'date' for the interview just has each of them craving the other something fierce!! Phew! I was burning up from the passion these two have for the other. And I got a bit emotional at both their selflessness with those they hold dear and just how unfair their situation could be.
Come As You Are is truly a beautiful story. The author continues her amazing talent at writing the most endearing of characters all the while keeping the heat level at a very steamy level. There is always that respect and true devotion from both hero and heroine and Flynn and Sabrina have that tenfold.
Always a complete and utter pleasure to get lost in Lauren Blakely's words, I happily give Come As You Are a solid 5 stars.

Hilarious, romantic, and sometimes frustrating tale of the duke and angel, billionaire and reporter, I could go on, but you I'm sure you'll love drawing your own comparisons, just as I did :) Set in present day New York, with lots of visits to places that remind you of years gone by. And now a bit about the story...
Sabrina was left by her fiance days before their wedding, he up and surprised her by moving thousands of miles away. Now she has a wedding dress she can't seem to get rid of and a masquerade party to attend. While she fantasizes about meeting a duke, she tears into her wedding dress to make her costume. Her favorite romance novels always have the two masked partner sneaking off the a library..... When Flynn ends up in the library with the mystery women dressed as a beautiful angel investor he decides to keep the mystery going. Later that night they are texting and setting a date for the next night. But when they discover who the really are, will the fantasy come to an abrupt end?
Favorite Passages:
- I step into a pie section of the door and swish into a lobby with marble floors so polished I swear I can see up my skirt. But I don't self-perv.
- In my defense, buttons are hard.
- “The kind the requires a prenup.”
- “You’re too much.” “You’re talking about my dick again now, right?” He winks.

Blakely deliver a charming romance, in this Cinderella story, with likable, good-hearted characters. It's a quick, easy, sexy and thoroughly enjoyable read. Sabrina Granger meets Flynn Parker at a masked costume party and, because of his disguise, doesn’t know that he is the famous, wealthy, tech entrepreneur. In fact, during their moment of passion, they don’t exchange names at all. The next day, Sabrina, a journalist, is given an assignment, to write a story on Flynn. Once their identities are known to the other, the romance becomes a forbidden one for this pair. They have a lot to overcome before they can find their HEA.

For me, diving into a Lauren Blakely novel is unlike any other reading experience. Whether it’s one of her authentic feeling male point-of-view romcoms or one of her sexy, swoony contemporaries, there are a few things that always happen for me whenever I pick up one of her novels. I learn cool new things that I didn’t know before I started, her attention to detail never fails to impress me, and I fall helplessly in love along with the characters. I consistently get lost in her stories, wrapped up not only in the romances, but also in the worlds she builds. Her red-hot, heart-racing love affairs are engaging on their own, but she takes these stories to another whole level by layering fascinating tidbits of information, vividly depicted scenery and charismatic characters that all blend perfectly with the core love plot into a magical adventure for a romance reader.
Come as You Are takes a completely fresh approach to the workplace trope with a romance between a word-nerd reporter covering a subject in what she hopes will become her new beat and the hot-nerd, tech genius CEO focus of that story. Blakely further distinguishes this story by giving it a modern-day Cinderella spin and setting it in quintessentially romantic New York City. Instead of the typical coworker clash, she poses an ethical dilemma to this couple that turns what had been a very promising, fairytale worthy start into a bittersweet memory and an opportunity that, unfortunately, must be passed on. Chemistry is a powerful thing, though, and these two were so combustible, it was exploding off the page. But it wasn’t just physical attraction between them. Flynn and Sabrina were kindred spirits, connecting on so many different levels and fitting together in exceptional, once-in-a-blue-moon ways—not just against a wall in a library during a masquerade ball, although they fit rather well there, too.
Blakely delivers a steady stream of feels here, only they’re not the angst-fueled, gut-wrenching emotions romance readers are accustomed to experiencing. This author’s writing is more of a hopeful, feel-good style, with just enough conflict to challenge the couple, and that is a rare combination in this genre. It’s even more rare to pull that off as consistently as she does, and it’s what makes her stories addictively light-hearted, pleasure reads—a quality that is pure Lauren Blakely and speaks volumes about her approach to romantic storytelling. Make no mistake, though, I soared high with Sabrina and Flynn during their initial encounter and was staggered by the same disappointment they suffered the next day when realization dawned as a result of their identities. I felt their wistful longing for each other while they worked together during their frequent “not-date dates,” and I shared their genuine excitement over the mere promise of this relationship, something that they both tried desperately—and failed—to bury. I was right there with them, frustrated that something with so much personal potential was also fraught with such professional peril. I marveled right along with Flynn and Sabrina at each new discovery about the other person and their beloved city.
Speaking of discoveries, Come as You Are was filled to the brim with quirky and fun facts that added depth and originality to the story while also forming the foundation of this couple’s shared history. Events, landmarks, games, inside jokes—these are some of the things that give Blakely’s couples their own distinct identities and personalities. These little surprise details added so much charm to the fabric of Flynn and Sabrina’s story, and Blakely is a master at not only finding this intriguing material but also weaving it into her tales.
Come as You Are was enchanting and entertaining, and I was utterly charmed and thoroughly captivated by Flynn and Sabrina’s sweet, sexy romance. I positively devoured this book, happily swooning on my sofa the entire way through. Five smooches from me for Lauren Blakely’s Come as You Are!

Masquerade balls, fake money, angel wings, and one start button later...
Flynn is a man who has it all. He has a great job, great friends, great family, but he is missing that great gal to go along with all that.
Sabrina doesn't have it all. In fact she has had a tough go at life thus far. She is bright, and witty, and just the thing Flynn is looking for.
Flynn is thoughtful, charming, and a hot nerd who happens to be sexy as sin. He takes one look at Sabrina and I think he is a goner! These two play off each other from the get go. They word volley back and fourth all night till those words end with unintelligent moans.
I mean who can resist hot-up-against-the wall sex...NO ONE!!!!
Also any man who has a key to Gramercy Park is totally it...in my book...amazing!
I should probably mention that Flynn is a master dirty talker. Like black belt level. Sighhhh he should totally come up with an app for dirty talkers...

Absolutely adorkable!
Lauren Blakely has another hit with Come As You Are! Flynn is such a swoon-worthy hero, and I just adored Sabrina. Their meet-cute at a masquerade party perfectly sets up the rest of this story. As one of Manhattan’s most eligible bachelors, Flynn never knows if a woman is interested in him or his bank account. When he and Sabrina meet, there is an instant connection, and because of their masks, she has no idea who he is. And it leads to a steamy romp that neither of them can forget.
That’s where the Cinderella story takes a twist, because Prince Charming turns out to be the tech genius Sabrina is covering for her dream assignment. And she needs the gig desperately.
I loved how Flynn and Sabrina were still able to non-date through their interviews. But is Sabrina willing to take a chance at love, despite the murky ethical issues? And has Flynn finally found someone who allows him to “come as you are”?
I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.

I don’t know how Lauren Blakely managed to give us an exquisite slow burn romance when the couple got it on within hours of meeting each other, but she did! Sabrina/Angel and Flynn/Duke were so sweet and sexy and just the perfect counterparts for each other - they’re adventures in New York and banter were EVERYTHING! Besides the traditional love story, with Come As You Are we also get an adorable expression of the love of New York, science, and word play. This was another absolute winner from the author and a great example as to why she is firmly at the top of my “Must Read/Auto-Buy” list. 5 out of 5 wine glasses.

My very first thought on this book ? *Another Lauren Blakely book? Sign me up right now!*
Me, the girl who's not really a book-w****e, after eyeing the cover for hours? *Hola, amigo!*
I couldn't wait to get my hot little hands on this book, because, well, ding-dong, hot nerd alert! And Flynn rocked this role like no one ever! I loved his wit, his sexiness, his absolute down-to-earth attitude. He's kinda like the whole package.
And Sabrina! Man, I'm in lust with this girl! Her passion, her whole personality isn't something you just simply pass on the street. You will be hands down in adoring mode with this lady.
So, yeah, Lauren Blakely did it again. She took me on a journey only her talent can do. Hardcore Blakely fans - this masterpiece is a must-read. Non-hardcore Blakely fans - I think you don't really exist, but in case you've been living under a rock until now, I have a quick advice - read this book. Like now!

Wow! Just finishing this book I am teary- eyed in the very best of ways. Swoony, hot, romantic deliciousness? Get it right here. For those who have never read author Lauren Blakely you are truly missing out. You need to pick this up and read it. STAT. If you are familiar with her books, then you will find this standalone a welcome addition to her extensive list of romance novels. Having read much of Ms. Blakely's backlist, I went into Come as You are with high expectations and I was not disappointed. Gushing aside..... this was a great read.
Our hero is Flynn Parker. Tech wiz extraordinaire. Wealthy, smart, interesting...an all around good guy and likeable hero. A hero who would like to be seen as more than an open wallet, he has learned to be careful with the people with whom he chooses to surround himself. Especially women. Our heroine is Sabrina who is a reporter. Recently dumped by her fiance and let go by her employer, Sabrina tries to remain optimistic regarding her future. While her finances or lack thereof weigh on her, she maintains her sense of humor and sense of self.
Their first encounter is anonymous and super hot ( 5+ flames here, folks). Both feel free from the responsibilities and obligations that weigh them down in their everyday lives. When real life intersects fantasy what happens? What happens when circumstances may prevent a relationship that seems so promising? When that intense first connection may lead.... nowhere? You will have to read to find out. No plot spoilers here.
A special nod to the City of New York as a secondary character. I loved Flynn and Sabrina's walking tours. To places famous and not-so-famous. Places that have meaning to both of them for reasons aside from the obvious. These characters are quirky but absolutely get each other intellectually and emotionally ( pineapple math....who knew?!)
Their journey together is often humorous with great dialogue. Very well-written and can I just say that "Another Epilogue" still has me swooning all over the place. If you love contemporary romances with great characters and no unnecessary drama.....Come As You Are is damn near perfect.

Every girl loves a good fairy tale, no matter how old they're. And when Lauren gives you a fairy tale you don't just read it, you swoon it. In this story Lauren has giving us a Modern day Cinderella.....I mean Dirty Cinderella & Duke Story. Sabrina aka Dirty Cinderella is a girl that feels cursed by the world with a wedding dress she can't use or sell. Flynn aka The Duke is a high tech ceo with his line of stalkers, it's hard to tell who what's him or his money. But one night of pretend brings these 2 together. And when they do it's one hot spark that turns into a flame of need and want. The texts and emails, the games, and so much more ..... I'm swooning for these two. Lauren books always brings me to my knees with want with the 3 Hs: Heat, Humor, and heart. Had the chance to read early(Arc thank you Lauren) on my Kindle but can't wait for my paperback to come to me. Thanks Lauren for another great read. ?

Omg absolutely loved Come as You Are! What a sweet and sexy romance that will leave a smile on your face. As usually Lauren Blakely gives so many feels with this book, you will fall in love with Flynn and Sabrina.
I always thought my type of guy was the typical bad boy and then I met Flynn Parker who’s a tech genius and maybe just a little bit of a nerd and damn does he have a dirty mouth.
Sabrina hasn’t had it easy, she lost her job and fiancé left her weeks before the wedding. So landing her dream would mean everything.
I loved Sabrina and Flynn the moment they met. The connection between these two was instantaneous and sparks were definitely flying. The banter between these two was dirty and oh so funny.
I love Lauren Blakely’s books and couldn’t recommend them enough.
If you have read her books, do yourself a favor and one click now! Can’t wait to see what she comes out with next!!

Come As You Are is another fabulous example of the brilliant storytelling of one of today’s most prolific writers of contemporary romance. Men might be from Mars and women from Venus but this author always celebrates the unique and delightful difference between the sexes which is why her books are an automatic must read for me. She specializes in witty banter, steamy sexual attraction and true heartfelt emotion that leaps right off the page and right into my romantic heart. Flynn and Sabrina are perfect for each other but in order to keep their professional integrity intact they have to deny their feelings and that proves to be more difficult as time goes by. Trust me, you will fall in love with these characters just as much as I did when I read their story in one sitting. I read an early copy of this book and all opinions expressed in my voluntary and unsolicited review are completely my own.

I just adore Flynn & Sabrina! I feel like Lauren Blakely can do no wrong when it comes to writing romance. This book is fun, flirty, sexy and just freakin’ fantastic! The story itself was so incredibly good that I just couldn’t get enough. I love the unconventional way our Duke and Angel meet! Their chemistry is sizzling hot! But more than that I think their conversations, witty/fun banter and excursions are my favorite parts of this book!! I felt like I was with them and it makes me want to go back to NYC and do all those cool things they did instead of the big touristy things I’ve done. Seems like so much fun!!
I was a bit worried that they screwed things up there for a bit, but luckily they both have awesome people in their lives that help them to see that a love like theirs is always worth the risk and doesn’t come along every day.

It all started when a Duke saw an Angel. It was a magical night of witty banter, flirty fun, and filthy sex against the wall. It ended with a text.

Note: I was given a free copy and voluntarily chose to review this book.

Fantastic, Funny, Alpha and Hot! Flynn is the PERFECT MAN! He makes my heart Flutter! Elizabeth @ White Hot Reads
Flynn and Sabrina are electric together, they just work. It was fun to see them attracted to each other and trying to stay away emotionally from each other. I adored that once they both realized how much they want and need each other, they each go to great lengths to make to happen. The story is sexy, charming and full of fun!

Who knew that a masquerade ball could change your life? Not Flynn nor Sabrina. Sabrina is a talented journalist who is unemployed when her last job fell through. Flynn is a math nerd, a millionaire and is tired of being taken for a fool with a wallet. When they both attend the masquerade ball they connect and are enthralled with each other. Their lives will be changed forever from this encounter. Lauren Blakey writes the fabulous stories. The characters are real, their emotions intense but the walk through the city will make you dream of NYC. I voluntarily reviewed an arc of this amazing book.

Lauren Blakely has created a story that has my favorite things about a romance story, love and true happily ever after. We have Flynn who by all counts is a sexy nerd and Sabrina just trying to survive. These two are total opposites in every way yet share one common thing they never expected, finding someone to love them for who they are not what they can give. Lauren Blakely just shined for me in Come As You Are loved it.

A chance opens up for Sabrina at a prestigious magazine. All Sabrina has to do is get an interview with a multimillionaire, Flynn. But first, she's going to attend a masquerade ball with her friend, and leave her problems behind for one magical evening. She's not going to be Sabrina, but Angel....
Flynn is a young, intense and intelligent guy who has already created and sold one major company, and is now building another one. One night, Flynn decided to go to a masquerade ball/find raiser.... And they he meets his Angel...
An amazing story! Loved it! It grabbed my attention and never let go! Riveting until the last word!

Falling in love can be magical. Flynn and Sabrina have all of the real life issues surrounding trust, confidence, family, love and money. But their love story takes on the magic of NYC. Magical because of who they are. His ability to see numbers in things and the enjoy the simpler things in life. Her ability to see beauty in art that many might find they don’t understand. Everything has a greater meaning and together they see it and feel it.
Unique museums and store fronts, walks in the park, a lightpost or a park bench. There is beauty and romance and magic and these two are spellbound by it and in it.
I enjoyed reading this story of two hardworking, good people who find magic in doing together what fascinates them and finding their hearts and souls connecting in sweet simplicity.

Lauren Blakely writes such feel good while you listen books that have some endearing characters. I loved Angel and Duke (alias Sabrina and Flynn) in this book. The imagery and descriptions in the story were outstanding. I loved the concept of Pineapple Math and Flynn's description of Sabrina being a wordsmith was so neat. This book has so many wonderful facets that pull the listener in. I so enjoy listening to Andi Arndt and Sebastian York. They were spot on with their POV and various voices. I thought this book had some Cinderella-esq vibes to the story with how some descriptions and comparisons were worded. This book was so good, its hard to summarize all the wonderful details and points I took away from this listen. I will definitely listen to this book again.
Also, included in the audiobook was a short novella that was fun to listen to and it was performed by Andi Arndt.

Sabrina and Flynn - 5+++++ Stars
Oh how I wish I could give this story a million stars!!! I love every book that Ms. Blakely puts out, but I think this may well be my all time favorite book ever by her. For a contemporary storyline, I thoroughly enjoyed the way these two characters met since Sabrina had a great love of Historical romances, just like I do. I loved the Duke, the Angel, the mystery and the hot, steamy love scenes can't be beat. Both of them have been hurt by others and don't trust easily, but the instant connection that sparks between them is undeniable. The poetry reading, the hidden treasures they search for and find in different parts of New York City just make me itch to travel there and find these wonderful places for myself. I also loved seeing characters that we've met from previous books and the chance to learn how things are going for them. You will want to pick this up as soon as you can, so you don't miss it. It is definitely one to watch for and keep!
