I have a love/hate relationship with Cat Porter—I love her, but inevitably while reading one of her books she will gut me, and then I hate her for it. CP is the queen of conflicting emotions and she outdid herself in Fury with situations that were raw and painful, yet achingly beautiful, even a sex scene was scorchingly hot, yet painfully heartbreaking. Fury got to me even more than Random and Rare, but I loved every minute I spent reading it.

Finger and Serena lived through a violent and horrific event and it effed them up in so many ways. The connection they forged while it happened was unbreakable, but also the source of so much pain. They were individually shattered but their pieces fell into one big pile and only together could they be whole, but circumstances wouldn’t allow that. Their relationship reminded me of Pearl Jam’s song Black, so beautiful it reaches deep into your soul. This is a romance full of pain. I think instead of the usual meaningful two-word title that CP gives a book, Fury is the only one that fit.

Fury spans a twenty-year period of time and there was a lot of action packed into it. We go over some old ground, but it felt informative, not repetitive. There were strong parallels to previous books here that at times were hard to bear, but also a lesson for the living on what could have happened but didn’t. I urge you to look for them, but then again, you might take that as a warning since these stories are dark.

At times, we are told things and not shown, and although I understood the reason (that would have made for one long book!), I felt like I was missing things. In fact, this is a book that had me wanting more, more information, more good times, more light to shine through the darkness, but it was also more than I ever imagined if that makes sense.

Many questions I had were answered, and I got to see glimpses of my beloved Dig, which was bittersweet. I can’t review this book without mentioning Tania. My esteem for her went through the roof after reading this, and I loved that she became the bridge between Finger and Serena when they desperately needed one so they could become whole again, even if just for a little while.

In the end, the Finger and Serena’s journey had me smiling, but it was through some tears. Yes, sometimes I hate you, Cat Porter, since I don’t like to cry, much less read through tears, but I love you and your books too.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

Wow I was completely blown away by this book! Excellent use of high and lows, a great read couldn’t put it down! Very realistic storyline, and just enough soft adult erotica. I have read other books by this author and they are great too, but this ones my favorite!!

Feel free to cuss me out...right...NOW. Why? Because I'm not giving any details about Finger and Serena's story. If you glimpse the blurb over on Goodreads or any of the e-retailers the book is available at, you'll notice that it's vague as well. Suffice it to say that there's a reason for that and I'm asking you to trust me--as well as all the other fabulous bloggers and readers out there who've raved about this book--and just read this book. Today. Okay, I'll give you till the weekend...because real life responsibilities and all. What I will say is that there are potential triggers in the story that you need to be aware of, specifically--and not limited--those concerning abduction, torture (not limited to physical), forced sexual acts, and various acts of violence (again, not limited to the physical).

What can I say about Cat Porter's storytelling that I haven't said before? The woman doesn't just tell you a story; it demands your attention. Her characters? They're worthy of your emotional investment, and this is me saying this after having previously read four of her novels (now five). There's nothing easy or simple about Finger and Serena's story--both as a couple and as individuals--but it is a tale of triumph after countless trials. It spans a quarter of a century, which is just one of the reasons it's a long read, and life and fate keep both Finger and Serena on their toes, testing them and their love for each other and how that prevails in the end. It's also a story about sacrifice, family, friendship, and brotherhood, familiar themes for Porter. Do yourselves a favor and buy Fury. Five-plus stars. ♥

I was emotionally gutted when I read Fury. At times I was so mentally drained I had to set my kindle down and walk away-only to pick it up a minute later. I had to know what happened to Finger and Serena.
While their story is the hearts and flowers that would denote a typically love story their love is for the ages and was truly timeless.
If there were two people that needed any form of happiness in their lifetime its these two.
Like a Phoenix these two rose from the ashes and became one Hell of a team.
I was a blubbering mess when i finished . Although it was a difficult read I wouldn't have changed a word.
I applaud Cat Porter and her vivid story telling.

I received a ARC for a honest review

From the very start it's clear these characters have a very dark road ahead of them. I always expect Cat Porter to spin a riveting tale, but I wasn't ready for Fury. Not in the least!! The rawness and brutality of MC life on both the male and female characters stand out in stark relief to the ever changing, beautiful landscape.
Finger, Lenore and a whole cast of familiar faces from the Lock and Key series , as well as a few new faces, all blend together seamlessly. It's epic in scale and spans a few decades taking Finger from a scrawny, tortured kid to a fearsome warrior hell bent on revenge for a host of wrongs that befell him.

Lenore was a very intense character in that she took a tremendous amount of abuse, but she kept picking herself up. Her survival instincts so strong that she didn't seem human. As her relationship with Finger evolved, I felt like I was riding high and then suddenly plunged into a dark tunnel and then spit out again into blinding light. Finger's relationship with Lenore was the most exquisite ache my heart has felt in a long time. I will never forget this story.

It's rare to finish reading a story and feel changed inside. I felt that with this story. At times the brutality was almost unbearable, the heartache too heavy for me to carry. But I've read every book Cat Porter has written and I knew I could trust her to take me into those deep dark places and test my humanity, my sense of compassion. I know there is always beauty and brilliance tucked away like Easter eggs all throughout the lives of her characters.

This book is a true gem. It is NOT for the faint of heart. It requires you to look unflinchingly into the heart of darkness. Somehow, it also expanded my capacity to celebrate the triumph of the human spirit and the power of love. Yes, great fiction writing will do that to you, and that's what Ms. Porter has achieved. Bravo!

This was my first Cat Porter book, but definitely not my last! I have her Lock & Key series in my TBR list, I just haven't gotten to them yet, but I was so excited to get the opportunity to finally read one of her books! And whew, boy! This book was seriously intense. And this cover embraces Finger and Serena so, so well!! I was entranced by their story. It was heartbreaking, sweet, and full of loss and love. They both had quite the journey. I enjoyed how Cat gave us, the reader, a comprehensive back story to the two of them. Their past was so heartbreaking and hard to watch, but it shaped them and made them into the people they were. I enjoyed being immersed in the MC culture and environment and sometimes found myself cringing over what was going on. This book isn't for the faint of heart. There's A LOT happening in this book. I was glad that Serena had the support of friends and those that genuinely cared about her. I wanted her and Finger to find their way, but I didn't expect all that Cat gave us. I really enjoyed this book and HIGHLY recommend it!

"All the jagged pieces of our hearts, be they sharp, be they blunt, red or black or gray, are indiscernible now. Me and her, we're in pieces, shards, but we aren't broken."
I just finished the ARC of Fury by Cat Porter, and I am slowly coming down from this adrenaline-filled rush. My emotions have been tested through this read. This treasure is a stand-alone novel, yet it has close connections and ties to Cat Porter's MC Lock and Key series (If you've not read these, they need to be on your MUST READ list). Porter hints of our two main characters in the Lock and Key series, and from the snippets there, I was sure I would not be enamored by our leading man, Finger. I was wrong. Porter has painted such a beautiful and horrific ballad with Fury. I say ballad because we are taken through a 20+ year journey of Finger's relationship with Lenore.
Finger and Lenore meet as young, damaged kids. Finger is a prospect for the Flames of Hell MC, and finds himself in a most disparaging predicament. He is saved from his hell by a young, old lady of another MC. Through this encounter, a relationship begins, and promises are made. Their longing to be together starts this epic journey, yet circumstances separate these lovers over and over.
Porter's writing is powerful, yet poetic. As hard and rough (and flaming hot!) as an MC romance can be, Porter is still able to weave an incredible story- a story of substance, darkness, passion, and redemption. I had been waiting patiently for this book to come out, and I was not disappointed.
Lingering in the after-effects of Fury, my heartbeat is returning to normal, and I can finally take a deep breath. Cat Porter's Fury is a book that will have you riding a roller coaster of every emotion known. Get ready, grab on, and ride the wonder that is Fury.

Wow! Loved it! A brutal, broken and beautiful story. This book really got to me, it made me grimace, smile and cry. I loved the Authors words and the way she used them. Poetic, lyrical and soul wrenching.
This story is about a boy named Kid, an upcoming member of The Flames of Hell MC. He gets into some scary brutal stuff with The Smoking Guns MC. There he meets Serena and his world will never be the same.
I loved the ending of this story it just about brought me to my knees.

I give Fury 5 stars for its brutal, broken and beautiful story.
I would recommend this book to Adults.

This book was hard to read at times because there was so much heartache and tragedy for Serena and Finger. But totally worth the read. I found myself rooting for them more than other couples in any other book. Highly recommend, but not for the faint of heart.

EPIC!! This story was incredible. I have not read a book in quite some time that was this good. The emotions were gut wrenching. Finger and Lenore were incredible I love how Cat Porter wrote their story to take place over 20 plus years. It was hands down one of the best books I have read in years. Even though it was very dark at times, it still was a book that you couldn't put down. I will read this book over and over. Well done!!

I received this arc from the author for an honest review.

If I could I would give it more stars

Cat Porter is an awesome author. Brilliant.

I loved it!!!!

This book is based on a 25 yr time span.
It starts with Kid, aka Finger, being held prisoner by a rival MC. Here he meets Serena, another prisoner, and their forbidden love begins.

We got here, baby, through fire and blades, demons and curses, blood and plagues.

That says it all.
WOW, when a book makes me cry it's a good book.

It started strong and only got stronger.

Finger and Serena went through literal Hell. They met under the most gruesome circumstances and found enough strength in each other to survive, rescue, and overcome the nightmare that there was no waking from.

I can't wait for more. I think I now need a reread of Lock and Digs stories so I can count all the aha moments. Not many authors give you those.

My Review of Fury by Cat Porter
My Rating 5 stars
In true Cat Porter fashion, Fingers story is full of emotional devastation. This book took me back to when I first read The Lock and Key series. This is one of my all- time favorite series and it tugged real hard at my heart-strings and I fell in love with these characters.
Fingers and Serena’s journey is full of grit, drama, suspense, beautifully damaged people and a love story that’s unlike any love story because it’s their love story!
When you read this book, Hang On Tight, It’s a Journey You won’t want to miss out on!!

Fury begins with a powerful introduction, and continues on to be a page turner of a story you won’t be able to put down.

This is the story of two tortured souls, their survival, and their ability to not allow the evil acts of others to impair the strong connection they built. While they survived, their journey was marred with the aftermath depicted in the first chapters. A journey without the luxury of an itinerary and thank goodness because not all the destinations were desirable.

Their scars and legacies were a testament to their tenacity for survival. There were times I scrambled to keep up, especially with the names and terms of endearment Serena acquired along the way. I adored the way Serena went about their self-help healing, not to mention Tania’s inclusion in the process which blew my mind. The drastic measures Tania became entangled in crossed beyond hot to pure heat evoking a quasi-spiritual cleansing. It was gentle and wild at the same time. Solidifying their bond and friendship for years to come, a poignant moment in their relationship.

The action, drama and suspense in this series demands to be put to film, with my added caveat of utilising sound effects in lieu of vision for the harrowing dark violent scenes. While I don’t want to visualise the horror they experienced, their 20 year epic story would have been for naught without the acknowledgement of what they had survived.

What kept me from giving this story all 5 stars still bothers me. Fury is up there with my favourite reads for 2017. All I can say is it come down to wanting more, which I doubt could have been added in one book. Novellas would be the solution and I am not beyond begging for their creation!

Holy Moly..what a freaking awesome book. NEVER has my stomach hurts so much with anticipation reading each page of a book. Finger and Lenore/Serena's story was raw, edgy, painful and beautiful. I shed tears and I will issue this warning, don't read this story at work. Trust me, don't do it. I had to go in the ladies room at work a couple of times to keep reading and dry my tears.
We saw finger in all of the books and was so intriguing. I wanted to see him get his own story. His and Lenore's story is exactly what the title of this book is, fury. They meet under the most horrific of circumstances and I'm glossing over it. Both form an un breakable bond that last through the years and let me say, no matter where they went or what they did, these two souls were not just inked on their skin but in their souls. They belonged to each. Choices were made by both and the timing was off, but they belonged to each other. This is what kept me glued to all nearly 600 pages of this book and it still wasn't enough for me. I'm greedy, I wanted more. More of them, because never have I read about a couple who deserved their happiness as much as Finger and Lenore. They were treated as nothing, but their grit and determination made them a force to be reckoned with. Every decision Finger and Lenore made, right, wrong, indifferent, was made with each other in mind. These are just fierce and strong individuals, I was awed by them as a characters and I cheered them on even in the most heartbreaking of moments.
We watch Finger and Lenore grow as individuals, together and apart through the years, always in each other hearts. I cheered for their accomplishments and cried for their decisions, especially Lenore/Serena. I was right there with the girl.. Who loved Finger with every fiber of her being. She made heartbreaking choices, but really, with everything that she had endured, could she have done anything else? I read some of the comments about people not liking her and all I can say, screw you people. This woman is right up there with Grace as one of my favorite ALL time heroines. She loved deeply even when she was afraid and when it all hit the fan, she never let go of Finger in her heart. Through her tears, marriage, and coming into her own, she held him in her heart. She told finger from the beginning, she didn't believe in fairy tales, there weren't for girls like her. Now Finger, from the get go, this man.. Oh lord this man.. Showed Serena/Lenore how much she was loved. His every action was to make his world a safe place for her. He hunted their enemies, all those who had hurt them and he put them down.. This man was a savage. A beast and I freaking loved him. This is how you write a male lead. I would be remiss if I didn't mention Tania. While I didn't like her and Finger's relationship, in fact I hated it, I did understand it. I did. She was a friend to both of them and a freaking good one. Turo..He seems to be a character to pay attention to and I liked him evolving relationship with Finger in their business world. He helped write some wrongs. This is by far one of the most passionate love stories that I've ever read. Every book in this series has touch me deeply to my soul. It will be a while before I move on. Bravo Cat. This story had everything. You framed it well, through your writing we lived in South Dakota and the Nebraska. This book, like all the others is now etched in my heart.
