This series is fantastic....diabolical, just when I think I know what's going on something else hits me in the face. I did not want to put this series down, no joke. Even though it's pg you can feel the raw emotion between the characters. It's utterly fantastic, angels and demons and a bunch of new mythical creatures. These books keeps you wrapped up in suspense, just fantastic!! It's been a long time since I have read such a fantastic series and I read A Lot of different genres.

Premonition: The Series is a great read! This is the first I have read from Amy Bartol. I enjoyed the character development, and the fact she didn't tell you everything about their backstory all at once. There was romance, suspense, and action. I couldn't put it down, and I hope she will extend the story.

Suffers the usual problems of eager new authors: poor character development, far too in love with the main character (she's perfect! she's queen of everything! she has all the powers!), and inconsistent world-building. Also consistently mis-uses words (affect/effect, insists on calling the sky the filament), but much better grammar than many.

That said, it's a fun, fluffy read that will amuse you, if not challenge you.

It was good for mindless reading - it was mostly enjoyable - but Evie grated on my nerves with her sense of self sacrifice and inability to recognize the experience of much older people/beings and not run off the ultimately screw up the day. I also hated the ending - after 5 books, it should have been a fade to black with at least some closure for Xavier and Brennus, but nope - abrupt ending with zero answers for many things. Maybe she plans on coming back later? Either way, I’d say tone down the beauty of everything (we get that heaven is beautiful and even hell’s angels are beautiful...didn’t need 5 books to repeatedly go over that - felt like one of my college classes when I had to meet the word count for discussion boards), wrap up some loose ends, and don’t make characters so stupid. I did like most of the characters aside from Evie though, and the overall writing was good. I didn’t mind reading it, the ending just irritated me more than anything.

I enjoyed the first book well enough. Interesting premise and story line. Although I have to say the author does not write accents well.....those were just plain atrocious, especially the supposed "Irish". They don't use "Da" instead of "The", and every word that starts with T ends up starting with a D, making them sound like some sort of midwestern hillbillies. Annoying at the least.
Evie was talented but incredibly stupid. I mean, how many times do you let the same vampire gang capture you? Over and over and over again. And the love scenes were pretty insipid too.
After the first book, it was "add a character or two and repeat the same stuff as the previous book" with not much really happening that was new and I finally got so bored that I started skimming, eventually just skipping to the ending which was a big letdown. Too bad, because the first book had promise, even with the awful accents.

I found myself skimming a lot. These books are okay and is pretty interesting but not something I would read twice...it took me some time to get past rolling my eyes during the constant martyrdom of the heroin...read it if you want, just not my cup of tea.

Absolutely, 110% loved this. When I first opened the book and saw how large it was, I assumed it was multiple stories but didn't expect they were all the same series. Following Evie and Reed's story was amazing. The series took a different turn than I expected after the first volume. There were times where frustration that the best of me and I had to set the story down, throw my hands up in agitation, only to immediately pick the story back up and start reading it again. It was completely addicting. I missed many nights of sleep but it was so worth it

I️ needed an escape and this was perfect. Characters were cookie cutter but likable and relatable, plot easy to follow, binge worthy (I️ read I️t over a few days) and an ending that was pleasantly unpredictable.

Likes for me were a refreshing absence of a lot of foul language and sexual content. Sex happens but the author does a nice job of going there without giving us in depth scenes.

Minor critiques were some typos/misspellings (not obsessing, I️ simply happened to notice them) and the dialect was an odd mix of quirky “hip teen” type language with some more sophisticated words. But overall a really fun read!

I loved these books. I loved the characters. There were points in the book I had to take a break for a day because things got so tense that I had to stop and breath. I hate to give away anything that happens in the book but it follows Evie who believes she's just a normal average human. She meets a group of people when she goes off to college and they become friends. There's Russell, Buns, Brownie, Reed. She also makes friends with Zephyer, Preban, Anya and a whole host of others as the story progresses and brings together sides that aren't always friendly. The enemy of my enemy is my friend.

In all honesty,I absolutely loved this series, the author loses a star from me because.....okay, I admit it freely, I'm a smut lover. And every love scene in this series is....absent. Lots of build up, lots of smoldering, quivering, trembling. Some really hot kisses, but only smoke, no fire. Why it's permissible to describe viscous fighting and the gore that ensues during a battle, but some how a smokin' hot love scene is too much? Can't answer that one. That being said, this is a deliciously detailed and engaging tale of Angels, both good and "fallen", and their world, complete with faeries, vampires, and several other mythical creatures thrown in. Thoroughly enjoying this.

I read Bartol's Kricket series first and was horrified to see how painfully boring this series could be. On top of being unlikeable, the main character is boring. As are the other characters. Everyone is so lifeless. The storyline and writing are bland at best. The love story is lame. I recommend skipping this series and heading to Bartol's Kricket.

Each book builds the mystery and leaves you in suspense about what will happen with Evie and her crew. Strong writing and deep, well developed characters but the ending is awful. Like 10 car pile up on the interstate awful. It felt rushed and unimaginative not to mention it leaves things up in the air, which at the end of a series like this is a big no no. Literally ruined the series for me.

Very good series and a great find in Kindle Unlimited. Not you traditional angles and demons story. Love, fate and the chocies Evie makes when she changes and finds out that she is not completely human.Great characters that just keep growing through the entire series. I found myself rooting for the underdog, Russell, and even “the guy” Brennes just because characters are so well written and developed. Can’t wait to see if the story will be expanded in The future. Just would love more of the Fellas. Tis true!!

I enjoyed every second of reading Premonition: The Series Volumes 1-5 (The Premonition Series Book 6)!

My heart yearned for Evie as she entered the unknown world of angels, faeries, demons, and all variety of creatures that were part of a world hidden from her. The love of her soulmate, the pain of relationships that were destined to become something more, and the family of friends that became her reason for her existence, kept me reading through each of the books in the series.

I want, no, I NEED, more!

Amy Bartol's books are my guilty pleasure. I love the bad guys. Her storytelling is the perfect balance of fantasy/scifi/romance. I love her sassy mouthed heroines full of snarky retorts and the bad guy/good guy triangles that deliver both what you know you should want in a sweet romance but also what you crave deep down in your dark desires. I laughed, I weeped, and I chewed my fingernails. There was lots of action, gore, violence, passion, love, and heroism. I've also just finished reading the Under Different Stars series and I'm about to start Secondborn. Honestly I'm not even in to scifi or dystopian stories but I'm reading them anyway because I enjoy the way Amy weaves the story around my heart.

What an adventure... many twists. At the end of the series most things are tied up... not everything... but the way the storylines converge keeps you guessing.

Not thrilled with how Evie is constantly abused, could do without, but the series does make for an interesting read.

I’ve read two series by the author now... same setup... abused heroine, love triangles, dead mother, and daddy issues.

I was dragged into a unknown but familiar world where danger and love awaits at every turn. Should you root for the angel who will risk anything to protect her? Or the halfbreed who has loved her his entire existence. Or the evil undead king who only knows love by meeting her? Adventure and heartbreak, friendship and love, cheers and years, all wrapped up in a unforgettable story.

The story was generally well written, but I couldn't get past how badly she handled the romantic triangle. She just tortures poor Russell, and chooses lust over a real connection. By the end, I was rooting for Russell, rather than Evie.

I enjoyed the love experiencedby Evie and Reed. There is an amazing cast of characters who support this storyline. I am on book 3 and I am exhausted dealing with Evie who continually puts herself in danger and dies nothing anyone tells her. Her constant penchant for disobeying or causing others to worry about her is disgustingly exhausting. This author had a good idea that just keeps crashing and burning. It would be one thing if happenstance created her adventures, I could accept better than her constant immaturity. Its just exhausting!!!!

I stumbled across this series through an ad on FB. I am so glad I did! I haven't been this sucked into a series since Twilight. Prepare to lose sleep, let the kids feed themselves, and the laundry and dishes pile up. I can't put it down till the end!

I love this author. While waiting for the next 2nd born book I decided to download the Premonition Series. I was not disappointed. I love the fact I got five books in one download. I really enjoyed the story. While there were times I was done with Evie's decision making, the other characters gave the story another aspect. Very creative and well delivered. Thank you for hours of entertainment, my family finally has my attention again since I just finished the series. Please continue the story, very interested in what happens next with Reed, the fellas and Atwater.

I dont usually read the angel/fallen angel books but this one drew !e in and i couldnt stop. This was a really good series. Every time I thought Evie would get a break, someone/something else would come her way. I do wish she got herself out of situations a little better than she did. She is brave and good but needed a little more common sense at times. She is a much more likeable character than Bella was. You all know who I am talking about!

What an Awesome Series!!! This was the best that I have read in a long time. I honestly had trouble putting it down! Amy did an amazing job at creating these characters that I grew to love, and hate. I was so upset when I got to the end. I just didn't want it to be over! I highly recommend the Premonition Series. If you're thinking about reading it, go for it, you will not be disappointed.

I generally don't like series books but these books kept my interest throughout the 5 volumes! Creative, fun, suspenceful entertaining, sexy and even a little scary at times! Sometime I wanted to punch out some of the characters for doing the same dumb mistakes over and over, but then I realized, I do that same thing in real life... ;) Keep in mind it is fiction so you don't get confused with Biblical theology.
