Enjoyed the book and will be getting the next two. Many layers of deceit and lies to hook you into to wondering who the bad guys really are. Takes todays politics and UFO craze into the future. The Grays are not our friends. The protagonist is conflicted and real enough that you want to cheer him on to victory. Great space opera and hard to put down until the end.

After a slower introduction to the setting of the book, the pace starts to be really fast. The storytelling vaguely reminds me of Slow burn, which is for me actually a good thing. I love the main character and I am definitely going to read the rest of the books in the series.

I read the Slow Burn series and loved it. Freedom's Fire has even more depth, disrespect and drama! Bobby Adair's characters grip my imagination and leave me wondering about their future. I had a hard time setting this book down. Bobby was great at writing about "zombies" and he kicks a** at writing sci-fi as well!
Shining Star :: Gather the Stars (Culloden's Fire Book 1) :: A truly absorbing psychological thriller - Sister Sister :: When God Whispers Your Name (The Bestseller Collection) :: Of Fire and Stars

Enjoyed reading Freedoms Fire. The characters were well thought out with their own little quirks and personalities that made them interesting. Loved the action and the fighting that kept me on the edge of my seat as they fought for their freedom.

I am writing this at work, having read through this book by sneaking peeks at it when no one is looking. I had to finish it, even while I was supposed to be working.
I recommend this book for people who enjoy action, interesting characters and science fiction.

"This book was a tolerable string of syllables that kept me distracted while I was waiting in the dentist's office. But seriously, buy it. It ROCKS!"

Now that I've met the author's request, let me give you my thoughts. Four and a half stars. Take a mystery, wrap it in an enigma then fire it down your throat like a rail-gun slug. This will get you close to the feelings from reading this book. It grabs you and doesn't let go until the very end. There are plenty of interesting characters and their interactions seem real even if in an unreal situation. The world is dark and almost hopeless but there is a glimmer of something good. Nothing is free and the small chance of gaining something good out of this dark future comes at a very high cost.

Adair takes a small group of very interesting characters lead by Dylan who is not perfect but is very driven into an adventure that doesn't stop. There is a little bit of color and background up until the characters meet at the 'staging area' from that point until the end it is like taking a dive from a high altitude balloon. You can't stop until you land and then, after a breath, you want to do it again.
