REVIEW:
Another great book in Alexandra Ivy’s Guardians of Eternity Series. I’m obsessed with this series! I love the world Alexandra Ivy has created and the characters. Most series seem to fizzle out over time but the Guardians of Eternity series keeps getting better. "When Darkness Ends" is the 12th book in this series and can be read as a standalone but I recommend starting at the beginning. It’s a great paranormal series. "When Darkness Ends" is full of action, danger, and passionate romance. Cyn, a Berserker Vampire, and Fallon, a fairy princess, are perfect for each other. I loved their interactions. Their story hooked me from the beginning and took me on an enjoyable journey. If you haven’t read this series I highly recommend it for paranormal romance lovers and if you have read it you’ll love this new addition to this incredible series.

~ 4.5 When Darkness Ends Stars ~

When Darkness Ends is the final book in the Guardians of Eternity series by Alexandria Ivy.

What a delightful ending too a wondrous series. This novel can be read as a stand-a-lone, but if you are planing on reading the rest of the series then you should save this one for last. AIvy gives us a wonderful recap of what has happened to our characters in the last year and all the things they have gone through to avoid disaster and find love. Throughout this series the women have all been excellent compliments to their mate with a fierce and independent streak to drive any man bat s*** crazy. The same goes for these men. They can be exasperating, but they are fierce and protective of what they hold dear.

I throughly enjoyed this novel. Fallon and Cyn, where perfect for each other. These two tease and taunt, giving us some fun scenes to read about. When they come together the chemistry is combustable. Fallon and Cyn’s strength, stubbornness, and resolve where what caught my eye. They protect with such determination and steadfastness.

The plot is developed. Giving the characters one last threat to deal with and the return of some of our favorite characters from previous novels. No matter what disaster is coming, these men and women (vampires, werewolves, demons, fey) stick together to form new bonds and find love with their one true mate. Levet is not left out. He brings his usually humor to the pages. I felt very nostalgic having all these older characters come back.

AIvy wrapped everything up nicely at the end, with a sweet epilogue showing everyone happy, settled, and safe. Some fans maybe sad Levet never got an HEA. I actually loved how the author ended the novel with him and all the others. It was a perfect ending to a wonderful series.

Don’t miss out on this finally installment of the Guardians of Eternity. It will leave you feeling content. This has been a fun series to read full of romance, sexy arrogant alphas, and stubborn heroines. I recommended pick up this series.

"It is a baffling mystery of nature, like rainbows and unicorns and the breakup of the Backstreet Boys." He shook his head. "Unexplainable." - Levet, When Darkness Ends

If you thought that Alexandra Ivy was losing steam in this hot paranormal series, it is officially time to check yourself. Based in a fantastic world where paranormal species coexist alongside unknowing humans, the latest book in the Guardians of Eternity series will keep fans coming back for more. While the book could stand alone, reading the previous books in the series will enrich the experience. Demons, druids, witches, half-breeds and many more paranormal species are featured in this fascinating world built by Ivy as a stage for her charismatic and powerful characters to fight, love, and inspire all the feels.

Fans of the series have been waiting on berserker Cyn’s story, and it arrives with a wonderful surprise – Fallon, Chatri princess! The beautiful but betrothed Fallon and rough, hedonistic Cyn make a very interesting couple as they struggle to work together and save demonkind without giving in to their base desires. Fallon is pretty locked into the arranged marriage and service to her King, father, and family, but she is forced to make choices for herself before time runs out for everyone. The action does not stop in this book, which keeps the reader turning pages but when I finished I felt like the 352 page book had just burned away in a blink. What am I supposed to do now?

The introduction of the fairy royal caste occurs in Hunt the Darkness, the story about vampire clan chief Roke and Chatri princess Sally. I cannot be alone in the hopes that someone will punch fairy king daddy Sariel in the kisser one of these days, but I am still awed by their abilities and very interested in seeing what happens with Prince Magnus...will he have a story, too? On a side note, Levet fans who are hoping to see him in action again will not be disappointed; he makes an appearance and as usual, carries the weight of the whole mission on his poor stunted shoulders.

Rating~ 4-4.25 Stars.

So here we are, at the last book of the Guardians of eternity series (a spin-off is coming soon though :D ), I really have enjoyed the series a lot, some books more than others as is the nature of book series.

Cyn is the vampire clan chief of Ireland, also a beserker (how cool is that, a beserker vampire) and before meeting the love of his life was a man slut.

Fallon is a Chatri (fey) princess , a very proud, otherwise engaged and yearning for freedom and adventure princess.

Cyn and Fallon are taken from the Chatri world and bought back to earth by the oracle who needs their help and their skills to locate the person who is messing with the Commission.

Both the characters were previously introduced in the series and both of them are unique so I was looking forward to their story and it did not disappoint. They were sparks from the first time they met which was in the last book, Cyn was dumbfounded when he saw Fallon, that scene made me laugh (yes, I reread that bit before starting this book). Their interactions were a joy to read, mainly because they have that how-dare-you-I-hate-you-but-I-kinda-lust-after-you-and-I'll-die-before-I-let-you-know-that vibe going on which ofcourse later turned into love, which I really enjoyed.

There's also a secondary romance between Prince Magnus (fiancé of Fallon) and Tonya, an Imp (in charge of one of Viper's clubs). They had great chemistry too, with the Prince being all arrogant and Tonya not bowing down to him beause of his 'status'.

There was quite a bit of suspense, tension and adventure in the book as the characters race to find to stop the enemy from killing every demon on the planet. We also have some cameos from previous characters for e.g Styxx, Dante and viper and some mentions of the King of Were Salvatore and his house being invaded by women because of the birth of his children. I would have liked to see more of the older cast members especially the female ones.

My first issue was that the book should have been a bit longer so that we could have more of updates on the previous protagonists in the series and more of Cyn and Fallon but because of the overall plot (and the secondary romance) they got lesser scenes in the book and I wanted more of them, they were pretty interesting. And my second issue was; as I mentioned earlier about the secondary romance, I believe that Magnus and Tonya should have gotten their own novella atleast because they were equally interesting and deserved a more paced romance than the rushed one we got.

Overall , it was a fun read and a good end to a engaging series and I'm looking forward to the dragon spin off Burned by Darkness in late June.

The Guardians of Eternity is a wonderful paranormal series that I have enjoyed reading throughout the years. I am sad to see that this is the last book but it has been a fun ride. These alpha men and women who have taken on the worst of enemies yet persevered and found their mates have created page turning stories that are thrilling and sexy.

Cyn is a powerful vampire who is chief of the Ireland clan, he was raised in the Fae world, his foster parents created a home and helped him survive when he was first turned and abandoned by his

maker. He is unhappy to have recently awakened in a cave far from home with a beautiful but angry Chatri princess. There is someone or something compelling the Oracles, the powerful group that protects and governs all demons, the fact that these problems will manifest into chaos causes Cyn and Fallon to rely on each other to help.

Fallon is a Chatri princess, her upbringing in the Fae world prepares her to serve her husband and not much else, and yet she has always wished for more in life. She is a powerful scry and has often watched others in different worlds, wishing she had their freedom. When the Oracles coerce her to help she is angry but realizes that their lives and most demons living in both worlds depend on finding out who is forcing the Oracles.

Fallon and Cyn have an immediate yet weary attraction to each other. She knows he has a wicked reputation and yet the more she is around him, the more she likes him.

This is a truly a thrilling book that captures your attention from beginning to end. I love how many of the characters we have grown to know and love are directly involved in saving of the world, their camaraderie, if begrudgingly given, is fun to read and I laughed at several of the alpha’s encounters. They all have a love-hate relationship with each other, and when they are together the banter is hysterical.

Cyn is one of the most down to earth vampires of the entire series, he seemed to have the best upbringing and although I love when a character is damaged and tortured, Cyn is a breath of fresh air. Don’t get me wrong, he is still as badass as they come, but you do not have to dig too deep for the kindness and thoughtfulness he gives.

Fallon is also a bit more subtle, she comes across as this shy young woman who is about to get married to a prince and does whatever her father wishes. But below the surface, she is a dynamo and has her own powers and strengths that surprise many of the Guardians, including Cyn.

There is a lot going on, the action is non-stop from the beginning and I had trouble setting the book down. The chemistry is apparent between Cyn and Fallon and their time together steams up the pages, yet the book seems more about the ending of the series than their romance. Many of the characters we see are from other books, and I enjoyed seeing them come together to help. Surprisingly I liked Fallon’s fiancé Magnus; he is an arrogant prince who gets his comeuppance with Tonya, who teaches him a thing or two about women and real life.

I love seeing Viper, Styx, Dante and many more of these incredible characters we have grown to love, and of course Levet stole the show in several scenes. The epilog is amazing and was almost

in tears as the story ends. This is number twelve in the series and there is a lot of history but each story has its own HEA and characters so it could be read as a standalone, but I recommend the entire series as it is well worth the read. I am sorry to see it end, and maybe someday we will visit this world again.

In this final installment, Cyn, the berserker-vampire, and Fallon, the pure-blood fey princess, are sucked into a race to prevent a new danger from destroying the world as they know it. The sparks fly between them making them a fun couple to read. And bonus, there is a secondary romance that is equally entertaining. This one didn't quite have that epic feel or that tone of saying goodbye that final books in a series can have until the very last moment in the epilogue. I was actually okay that it was just business as normal-passionate lovers and saving the world stuff.

This story is part of a series and builds on the book before it so this one would not make a good standalone or story out of order. Surrounded by a familiar group of supporting cast including another unexpected pair of fiery lovers, the series that has gone on for several years winds down to the end. Fortunately, the author is preparing a spin-off series told in the Guardians of Eternity world.

The story opens with Cyn and Fallon waking up in the caves below his hidden lair in Ireland. Both regard each other suspiciously assuming the other one was responsible for kidnapping them out of the other dimension. They soon learn that someone else is responsible. They are given a mission by the ruling council of demons to find out who is seeking to control the council's power by using a compulsion spell. They reluctantly partner up as they dance around the attraction that pulls these opposites toward each other.

Cyn is a rough, alpha berserker turned centuries-old vampire who answers only to the King of all Vampires while Fallon is a refined, protected and naive pure fey princess. They must combine his knowledge of ancient history and vampire strength with her fey magic scrying and power skills to defeat a cunning enemy who has been setting up his coup for a long time. In the process, they go from hostile to hot sexy times to concern that they don't stand a chance of being together.

Alongside Cyn and Fallon's work, Fallon's promised fiance' has come to find her and has presumed on Styx to assist his efforts since it is thought that Cyn had something to do with her disappearance. Styx pushes off the arrogant fey prince onto Tonya the Imp. Tonya gives stuffy Magnus a run for his money as they work from the other end to defeat the new threat in the world.

As I mentioned, this one didn't feel like the last book in a series. I expected it too so experienced a little let-down until I adjusted and just went along for a favorite series adventure. Like others in the series, these are more action-oriented than character-driven. The romance also follows a familiar path with that tension caused between an alpha male and an independent female with some sort of forbidden aspect that in this case is caused by their species. It's like a cozy feel of familiarity as a result and not a complaint. Truthfully, the last few books as exciting as they have been, have been a sort of long denouement tying up the plot threads from throughout this series. I liked how the author did that, bringing things down slowly, but still offering exciting adventures and romances along the way.

Cyn and Fallon were a likeable enough pair, but I confess to only moderate feelings toward them and their romance. I was more into the action part of the plot not that there was anything wrong with the romance. It doesn't hurt that there are several familiar characters in the back-up roles that are more of interest to me: Styx the King, Levet the Gargoyle, fellow vampire Viper and Dante, Tonya the Imp, and a new player in Magnus the fey prince. Speaking of Magnus, he and Tonya get up another sassy romance and have their own storyline separate from Cyn and Fallon. These two cracked me up the way he came down all lord of the manor on her and she just told him off and did as she pleased.

All in all, I enjoyed the story and I was into it though it didn't wow me in the tradition of series enders. The series has been a strong favorite and I wholeheartedly recommend it to paranormal romance lovers who like some grit, some spice, lots of action and a world full of nearly every paranormal race imaginable.

My thanks to Kensington and Net Galley for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

WHEN DARKNESS ENDS is the final installment in Alexandra Ivy’s GUARDIANS OF ETERNITY paranormal, romance series. This is vampire clan chief of Ireland Cyn, and Chatri princess Fallon’s storyline. WHEN DARKNESS ENDS can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from previous storylines is revealed where necessary. Cyn and Fallon were first introduced in book #11 HUNT THE DARKNESS

Told from several third person perspectives WHEN DARKNESS ENDS follows several intersecting plotlines that culminate in a finality where justice is served. The ancient supernatural Commission of Oracles has come under suspicion, and Cyn and Fallon have been called in to investigate and uncover the person(s) responsible-someone is trying to close the veil between dimensions thus effectively stopping all interactions between demonkind. What ensues is a building relationship between Cyn and Fallon, one that is unacceptable by the Chatri ruler and Fallon’s intended Chatri mate; and a search and destroy mission to stop a potential supernatural apocalypse.

Cyn, like many of Alexandra’s leading men is an alpha male whose protective nature continues to butt heads with his intended mate, but Cyn is also a bit of a man-whore with a reputation for the ladies that finds our heroine ill at ease with her attraction to the ancient vampire. Fallon is pure; a Chatri princess who has been promised to a Chatri male-Prince Magnus- a man Fallon does not love but is quick to defend as her intended husband. But saying that, Fallon is not helpless; there is some powerful mojo hidden beneath the princess’s beautiful façade. Cyn’s attraction to Fallon is that of a mate, and our leading hero is determined to claim Cyn as his own. The $ex scenes are romantic, compelling and provocative without the over the top erotic focus.

WHEN DARKNESS ENDS is an ensemble storyline with many of the previous storyline characters playing a secondary and supporting role including the Anasso (King of the Vampire) Styx, guardian Dante, and vampire chief Viper. We cannot forget about the little gargoyle Levet-who is the bane of everyone’s existence-but is a constant source of help and information. Alexandra brings together vampires, demons, fey, druids and humans in a battle to close the portals between worlds thus eliminating magic and the supernatural powers.

Alexandra Ivy ends the GUARDIANS OF ETERNITY series with a happily ever after-for now: there are no threats against the supernatural powers and everything appears to be right with their world. WHEN DARKNESS ENDS is a fast paced, action packed story with suspense, romance and revenge. The characters are animated, engaging and amusing; charismatic and fun. The requisite evil is over the top but will be justly rewarded for his crimes. GUARDIANS OF ETERNITY is an intoxicating series with sensual couples and passionate mates; the ensemble cast of characters brings familiarity and cohesion for fans of the series, as well as, entertainment and fun.

Just a side note: WHEN DARKNESS ENDS may not be the final book in the series-there is talk that the author may continue to explore the world of her GUARDIANS OF ETERNITY at a future time.

Alexandra Ivy totally and completely captured my heart with this book. This series is the PNR world at it's best. Sure it is originally about vampires and yes they are real bloodsucking vampires. They were sired and all that but Ms. Ivy did offer a bit of a twist (whew.. I would hate to have to admit to just loving a true vampire series. *grins*).

Now on to the book..

Battles have been fought, enemies have been destroyed but the world is still in peril, seems there is always one more villain to do away with and this time? No one sees it coming.

Fallon is the last unmarried daughter of the king of the Fae.. oh not the fae that interacts with the world, nope the oh so pompous fae that have removed themselves from those who are "beneath" them, basically everyone. Fallon is destined to marry her handsome prince and live boringly ever after. Just another female in his harem, a wife to be sure but when all is said and done, just another female. Fallon dreams of more and has worked hard on her scrying. Although it has been done in secret she has a remarkable talent and could possibly be one of the best ever. When she suddenly finds herself alone with an oh so handsome vampire, in a cave she doesn't recognize, Fallon is to say the least confused.. but what the heck, did I mention oh so handsome? But seriously, she has been recruited to work with Cyn to discover what is happening to the council...

Cyn, the vampire clan chief of Ireland likes the good life. Likes his comforts, all of them. He is the king of sensuality in all things and his hedonistic life is legendary. BUT he also believes in loyalty and in helping the weak grow strong. Having been adopted by a fae couple when he was first sired, he also respects other races. So when he was on a mission to help a friend with his lady, Cyn is also kidnapped he might have been understanding.. nah, he is a vampire.. you don't force them to do anything.. You ask, nicely.. But Cyn isn't that upset to be tucked together with the oh so luscious Fallon.. Things are about to get interesting.

The world is at risk and lives are going to change but Cyn and Fallon have found more than just a cause, they have found each other and the discovery that together they are something magical is a beautiful possibility.

Alexandra Ivy writes pure magic. These two didn't actually clash, there wasn't sound and fury, just two people forced to work together, two people that discover that real love exists and maybe just maybe they can have it. And that's when the fireworks start.

The fight against evil on the other hand is gently woven in.. it's an insidious enemy and Ms. Ivy slowly unveils just what is happening. Slowly, slithering it's secrets into the story. (Yeah I know I just love alteration way too much) In this book, the relationship is front and center and the enemy is kept on the back burner.. until the music rises, the story peaks and the crescendo crashes in!

Just a wonderful book!!

Say it isn’t so, the final Guardians of Eternity book. I’ve loved this series from the very beginning. Alexandra Ivy has created a paranormal world that doesn’t just focus on one otherworldly species. She has brought in so many different species that it has allowed for each book to remain fresh and exciting. The various villains have kept that going as well. When Darkness Ends brings together a Chatri princess and a clan chief vampire with the pairing of Cyn and Fallon.

Cyn and Fallon meet in Hunt the Darkness. The assignment that the Oracles place upon them is what puts them working together. One of the Oracles realizes that something is not right among them. While there is a pretty good hunch as to what is amiss they need some outside assistance to right the wrongs. Fallon’s royal Chatri blood has given her the ability to scry in a way which most others cannot. The Oracles need this to find out exactly who or what is behind what is going on among them.

For a vampire Cyn has been raised (from a foundling) by a different set of parents. It has given him a historical knowledge of species other than vampires. The Oracles know that he can assist Fallon with putting a stop to what is going on with the Oracles. Cyn’s top priority soon becomes Fallon. He realizes almost immediately that she is his mate and he doesn’t exactly fight it, his past comes back to bite him more often than not.

Fallon and Cyn as a romantic pairing makes for a super sexy read. He respects her and sees her as a female he wants in his life. He treats her like a person. Fallon has spent her whole life being treated as a special object that one must obtain to elevates ones social standing. Fallon has an interesting mix of intelligence, wit, and innocence.

Readers who have followed this series from the beginning like me will love that some of their favorite past characters make an appearance while having small roles. And of course Levet is there to play matchmaker and save the day.

My Thoughts - 5 out of 5 Unicorns - I loved it!!!
***Received a copy of the ebook for an honest review

The cover is awesome and Cyn looks completely sexy :)

This is the 12th book in the series, but this doesn’t count all the awesome novellas there are too :) I’m ashamed to admit that I didn’t realize until I requested this book how woefully behind I am in this series. I have read the first 6 books and the novella that follows; however this is before I started writing reviews. So I am definitely going to have to break out the books I’ve already read and review them, and then get my hands on all the books I haven’t read yet. Ok, I’m done with my tangent ;)

I really love Alexandra’s style because she is a fabulous story teller who weaves these incredible and complex stories, but she also adds in humor and awesome women who won’t be put on a pedestal or locked away being told what to do. They stand next to their mates ready to do battle which makes for a fantastic adventure every time.

This is Cyn and Fallon’s story with some of my favorites coming along for the ride too (Styx, Dante, Viper, and Levet). Cyn is the domineering male vampire who is a berserker. Fallon is a Chatri princess. The Chatri are the ancient pure blood fae. Fallon has a fiery spirit that she has finally let free. Of course they have been chosen to save the world by the Oracles. I really loved being sucked into their story. I can’t wait to come back to this world because silly me forgot how awesome it is.

I highly recommend this series to all paranormals fans because Alexandra has plenty to love for all paranormal enthusiasts and of course if you already love Alexandra Ivy’s work, you do not want to miss this one :)

When Darkness Ends is the final installment of Alexandra Ivy's phenomenal Guardians of Eternity series Aww... Say it ain't so! *sobs* I am seriously going to miss this series! It has always been one of my favorite go to PNR reads.

Wow. As usual my expectations were blown out of the water by Alexandra Ivy. She can write the most deliciously sexy alphas and her vampires are my absolute favorite! Cyn is a beserker vampire who was raised by faes since he was a foundling. Because of his knowledge of fae history, he and Fallon, a Chatri princess with a unique gift are enlisted by one of the oracles to investigate the potential threat that is trying to gain control of the Oracles for nefarious reasons. As Fallon and Cyn try to solve the mystery, Cyn realizes fairly quickly that Fallon is his mate. Fallon is reveling in the freedom from her homeland where she will be forced to wed another Chatri nobleman to strengthen her family's line. The chemistry between these two is explosive and I really loved Fallon's character, it was a perfect blend of innocence, strength, intellect and cleverness. Cyn was possessive, protective and sexy as hell. You know, basically the perfect alpha male. :)

When Darkness Ends is a perfect blend of humor, passion, action and danger. I loved seeing cameos of past characters and of course, Levet. It wouldn't be a Guardians of Eternity with my favorite gargolye!

This can be read as a standalone but I urge you to read the whole series so you may experience the awesomeness of Alexandra Ivy's smexy werewolves, vampires and demons.

What a wonderful end to a wonderful series. Everyone happy, settled and finally safe from all the evil machinations of the villains. I could say Cyn and Fallon are my favorite couple but that would be a lie because every one of the couples in this series are my favorite.

Dante and Abby with their amazing story of survival. Shay and Viper, deadly on their own, lethal together. Darcy and Styx, the beauty who tames the beast. Anna and Cezar, each the others anchor. Jagr and Regan finding solace in each other after their tortured pasts. Salvatore and Harley, a ray of hope for each other and their species. Tane and Laylah, brave and protective, facing every danger together. Jaelyn and Ariyal, complete opposites but oh so right together. Caine and Cassie, sane together in the insanity surrounding them. Nefri and Santiago, a refuge for each other after the betrayal from one they trusted. Roke and Sally, whoever said witches and vampires don't mix was crazy. And of course Cyn and Fallon, finding a place to belong in each other's arms.

Let's not forget Sophia and Luc, Victor and Juliet, Valla and Elijah, Gia and Damon, Uriel and Kata and the wonderful Levet who played the role of cupid in getting most of these amazing characters together. I wish he could have found his soulmate but I guess he and Yannah were not meant to be.
This has been one of my favorites so I am sad this series has ended but all good things must come to an end. Bravo! Alexandra Ivy, may all your future offerings be just as magnificent.

This has been one fantastic journey with being introduced to some fantastic characters that I have grown to love that sooner or later they say all good things must come to a end with especially the bad guys. This author also did it right and saved the best for last with Cyn and Fallon leading the way this time in the this battle to put a stop to madness once again. Cyn will also have met his match when he is paired with Fallon to stop someone from closing the veil. Mutual attraction but duty comes first so Fallon believes. Cyn has his world turned upside down with their banter that will bring on bits of laughter. He will also surprise many with the way Fallon will actually consume him the big scary hunk that he is. This author sure knows how to pair them and weave a relationship will all their ups and downs, and the heat that consumes that with a love that will last eternity and she has down no less with these two. Of course no story would be complete without the appearance of Levet, so none will be left in despair, he is there with his upside down sayings and all. Since I have read every single one in this series this one brought a bit of a sigh also. The battles will be intense, the loving hard but this author will have them spit in the face so to speak once again of evil. Perfect gathering at the end no holes left open and nothing left undone.

WHEN DARKNESS ENDS, the final book in the Guardians of Eternity series, doesn't disappoint. Cyn and Fallon are well matched which makes for exciting interactions and entertaining dialogue between the two. Distrustful of each other in the beginning Cyn and Fallon have been chosen to prevent the catastrophe that will follow if Armageddon happens. Unimpressed by his charms, Fallon is a princess in her own right, intelligent, powerful, and sure of herself. She doesn't readily fall into Cyn's arms. With the world as they know it being threatened and the Oracle choosing them to save it Cyn and Fallon have to find a way to work together.

WHEN DARKNESS ENDS is an action filled page turner with Cyn and Fallon rushing to save the world from one last persistent evil. A sexy romance with two strong willed people coming together to find love despite a crazed fiancé and difficult challenges. WHEN DARKNESS ENDS represents paranormal goodness populated with vampires, fey, gargoyles, and other supernatural elements. I couldn't ask for more in one story. This is a great ending to the series with an epilogue that will leave you with a smile.

Ivy has taken the world that she created throughout her series and has given it some fantastic room to swing with this one. The plot was well thought out and executed. Her descriptions and narrative brought this world to life in a larger than life, extremely vivid and Technicolor manner for me. Although the novel was unique and enjoyable, it was a case of it being a story that was hard for me to get into. Once I did, it was quite good. The further into the novel I got, the more and more enjoyable and engaging I found it.

Ivy has created some strong, larger than life characters that definitely do her story justice. I enjoyed getting to know them and felt that they carried the story forward well. Some of my favourite parts of the book included the interactions between the main characters.

This novel was well written with an intriguing plot. It was imaginatively unique and kept me coming back to find out what happened next, but didn’t hold my attention consistently throughout. I fully enjoyed reading this one and would definitely try other works by the same author.

This is the latest in the Guardians of Eternity series, but can be read as a stand alone.
Cyn is Beserker and a powerful vampire. He has just woken up in a dark cave, with no idea how he got there. The last time that happened was when he was first turned. This time however he is not alone.
Fallon is a Chatri, a Fairy princess. She has spent her whole life in the fairy realm, doing what is expected of her. Including agreeing to marry the Chatri prince he has chosen for her. But now she has woken up naked in a cave, with a vampire.
They have both been abducted, and need to perform a vital and secret mission.
With the fate of all the magical beings in their hands the two much learn to put aside their prejudices and work together.
There is also an unlikely romance building between two of the secondary characters .
A wonderful all action paranormal romance. If you have been reading the series you will meet some old friends. The fun keeps you reading well into the night. The sexual tension builds and the magic is explosive.

Loved Cyn’s and Fallon’s story in When Darkness Ends, especially the epilogue where all is good. Was a little disappointed that Levet’s Sera was nowhere to be found, though his new business venture is a hoot! Hate that it is the finish of this long running, never boring series. There are paranormal romance books out there and then there is the Guardians of Eternity Series. Crème de le crème.

Cyn is the perfect chief for his clan, strong, protective and confident. Fallon is loyal, honest and strong willed so fireworks between these two are to be expected. The attraction leads to love. If not for Tonya one could almost feel sorry for Magnus, the ex-fiancé. With the one last major threat in this book, they all must join together to stand and conquer it. Good winning over evil at its best.

When Darkness Ends reads well on its own. However, I dare any paranormal reader to read just one. So why not start at the beginning and travel to a time and place inhibited with vampires, gargoyles, werewolves, fairies and more; where love and goodness win over hatred and evil.

I will comfort myself over the end of the Guardians with the hope of more books in The Sentinels Series. Different from the Guardians but still has Alexandra Ivy’s creative and imaginative writing style.

What do you get when you put a sultry overbearing vampire with a wise beyond her years fey, excuse me Chatri demon. You get When Darkness Ends. This book is the final installment in the bestselling Guardians of Eternity Series. I can also say Alexandra Ivy saved the best for last.

Most women may be all but powerless against Cyn, but Fallon has his number. It all started when they awaken in Cyn lair to found out the Oracle Commission are being controlled by an unknown source. It’s up to our fair heroes to save the day. Along the way we meet up with some of our longtime friends Stxyx, Viper, Danta and we cannot forget our sexy gargoyle Levet.

This story had everything, Alexandra Ivy truly know how to weave a story from beginning to end. When I turned the last page it felt like I was saying goodbye to a family member.

The Guardians are facing a final battle to save their world but for Cyn and Fallon seduction may prove the most powerful force of all, as their attraction ignites even as the worlds are colliding around them in this breathtaking paranormal romance. I can’t believe that this is the final Guardians of Eternity book, it has certainly been one of my favorites since I fell in love with Styxx and of course all the others as well including Levet, but at the same time I think the Guardians deserve time to enjoy their happily ever afters without a villain trying to end it all. That being said, I think that Alexandra Ivy brought this series to a wonderful conclusion with a spectacular final battle. I also want to congratulate Levet on his new business venture, sounds like he can have quite a bit of fun with that.

This novel was well written with an intriguing plot. I found myself laughing at times due to the sometimes comical element. It was imaginatively unique, a mixture of Vampires and Fairies, and kept me coming back to find out what happened next, but didn’t hold my attention consistently throughout. I enjoyed reading this one and would maybe try other works by the same author. It was not my first foray into books written by this author however I was totally confused at times, maybe because I had not read this entire series. If I could I would give it 3.5 stars.

I haven’t read Alexandra Ivy’s The Eternal Guardians Series, but am very familiar with her Sentinels Series and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed them. Having said that, it did take me a more than normal time to get acclimated to the characters and “When Darkness Ends” turned out to be an enjoyable read.

Cyn as the head of the Vampire clan in Ireland goes head to head with the Chatri princess Fallon when they are recruited by the Oracle to help find the strange behavior of the members of the commission. Vampire clashes with a fairy princess, beauty and brains collide with power and arrogance, lust and passion turn their world upside down as they try to fight the scorching flames of love.

There is so much going on in the story and it keeps you entertained to the very end. Cyn and Fallon are perfect for each other, supporting each other and watch each other’s backs as the worlds goes to war around them.

Fun, entertaining, charming and loaded with an amazing array of paranormal, “When Darkness Ends” will keep you engaged until the last page.

What happens when a hunky Irish Clan vampire wakes up naked with a Fey Princess? I bet you can make a few guesses.

This is the final installment for the Guardians of Eternity series and it was a great conclusion.

If you are looking for a new vampire series to check it out. 12 really fun reads!

Read...When Darkness Ends written by Alexandra Ivy

Synopsis...

The Guardians of Eternity are facing a final battle to save their world—but battles of the heart may be the most difficult to fight…

Cyn, the vampire clan chief of Ireland, is an unabashed hedonist whose beauty is surpassed only by his insatiable appetite for pleasure. It's no wonder he's furious when he's transported from the magical land of the pureblooded feys to his desolate medieval castle—only to have his very existence thrown into a chaos that even he cannot charm his way out of…

Most women may be all but powerless against Cyn, but Fallon, a sharp-witted fairy princess, is less than beguiled by the silver-tongued vampire. She's a serious soul with no time for the sort of games he plays—especially when they learn that someone is trying to close the veil that separates the dimensions. But seduction may prove the most powerful force of all, as attraction ignites between the unlikely pair even as worlds are colliding around them…

My thoughts: Sitting here with a cup of Orange Pekoe at my side, my spectacles at the ready, a pencil in my hand, an orange glazed scone and the book, 'When Darkness Ends' written by Alexandra Ivy.

I always write down five words that pertain to my understanding and thoughts as I process in my mind the novel I am reading. Words that best describe to me what the story is foretelling, the emotions evoked by the author's storytelling. I take delight in circling sentences that I find intriguing, funny or descriptive...you know, captivating! I love write my thoughts within the pages of the novel.

I have never read this author's novels before and I was not aware of the length this series had developed into. What captured my attention, interest and curiosity was the title, cover illustration and synopsis. I am on chapter two and can not help but ponder that this series should be read in order and that this book is not a stand-alone. It jumps from scene to scene or character to character instead of a smooth transition, my thoughts as I continued to read are with the hopes that it will evolve. I am waiting impatiently for the vocabulary of the characters to improve for the dialogue leaves me thinking I am reading at a tenth grade level, these are intelligent men and women from different dimensions with intellect and cleverness!

I felt lost and the feeling was getting worse because now I find myself in Chicago, what happen to Ireland? This is what happens when one has not read any of the other novels within this series. I appreciate the introduction of each character but, I was so unfamiliar that it was frustrating. Discouraging to the point of inhibiting my enjoyment.

My first word...Interesting: Even though this story was taking a wee bit longer to digest, I found each of the characters fascinating, their histories alluring, wanting to know more about them and their mates, a curiosity for their gripping stories, this was an intriguing mystery for me as I focus on bits of information that was interweaved throughout the pages. I was sadden to read of Fallon's upbringing, what she endured, her struggles and what her future was to be.

Smiling: Finally, the danger, suspense and mystery comes into play and I am captivated! I also enjoyed the scene of Fallon carried over Cyn's shoulder, admiring the room she was placed in and her reaction to the exquisite craftsmanship of furnishings capturing her attention, the picnic scene and the scene as Cyn awaits for Fallon's return. Cyn is a horny little bugger or should I have said, 'horny big berserker!' His lust for Fallon had me giggling...men! I found it romantic that Cyn and Magnus were so protective and jealous! Delectable!

Bantering: Relished immensely the bantering between Fallon and Cyn and also Tonya and Magnus. Bold and headstrong women willing to stand up for themselves. Defensive! Even the Ladies' emotions and wit were eagerly available. Spellbinding!

Camaraderie: A bond of brotherhood for the vampires, to protect and assist their own in times of trouble. readily for battle, to defend. They were compelling men with agility and quickness. Appreciated the exchange of ideas or opinions on a particular issue as they conversed with each other. Strategizing.

Family: In the background, and yet a strong sense of loving and concern for their mates, family, clan and friends.

Would have liked to have read more of Cyn's foster parents meeting and falling in love with Fallon, wanting them to explain their thoughts and fears about the druids. How Cyn's foster parents escaped. If I had not have a very large TBR pile, I would read this series from the beginning.
