Another great adventure in the series. A series that allows the reader to "get away" from the day to day grind and live another chapter in the life of Jesse, family and friends. That's what it is all about. Thanks Wayne.

Another great ride! I have so enjoyed this series, with the strong bond the military men and women have as well as all the gadgets on the Revenge! Jessie got lucky with his dog, pescadore, and the island sounds idealic!

Wayne Stinnett's Fallen Angel: A Jesse McDermitt Novel (Caribbean Adventure Series Book 9) continues the story of Jesse and his band of warriors avenging wrongs with fun and violence of action. A fast-paced, tightly plotted page turner makes me want to read the next book in this action-adventure series. My enthusiastic recommendation for a great read with one caveat: you will lose track of time reading and pretty much forget about anything else. Unlike many other action books, each book can be read as a stand-alone with perfect enjoyment, but I do suggest starting from the beginning to develop a better feel for Jesse's character and motivation.

Another exciting and addictive book from Wayne Stinnett in the Jesse McDermitt series.
Gaspar's Revenge II is called upon to rescue two damsels in distress and crisscross the Bahamas before traveling full out to northern Florida and on to Beaufort, South Carolina. The damsels are a seated Congressman's daughter and Mother-in-Law on whom the Congressman has taken out a contract to have them killed.
In the meantime, Cecelia Minnich, who had been reunited with Pescador/Nadador calls Jesse and asks if he would like a new companion, a 3/4 yellow Labrador-1/4 German Shorthair that harvests his own clams. And his name is Finn.
When all is said and done, Jesse, Finn, and the Caribbean Counterterrorism Command family end up at The Rusty Anchor for the Fourth of July festivities.
Now I must patiently await Jesse's next adventure.

Having read the entire series some things were good, some were great and at least one was sad (when pescador left). I loved that Jessie got Finn. I am a dog lover but my German Shepard doesn't fish, But she does ride in my pickup like she owns it. Keep up the good work Marine.

Once again author Wayne Stinnett has packaged a high octane Caribbean read, adorned with clever, very unique characters, and a plot that will have you ripping at the pages and losing sleep. Stinnett writes with such authority – he assures the reader with style and details that he may have just been there and done that.

Page-turning action on the sea with all the organization of Special Ops and Homeland Security, coupled with great intuition and timely action brings this to the level of the other novels in the series. Fascinating to see the progression as the death of two women is to be the basis for a winning election campaign and an absolutely corrupt politician sees no wrong in it. It all happens around Paris Island, and the marines lend a hand to insure justice. A great read and well worth the time.

Another great read by Stinnett, Spoiler alert.

This one starts with Congressmen Nick Cross. He's already paid a Jamaican gang to kill his mother in law and his daughter.

He will then be a grieving man and feels his re election will be a shoe in. He cares nothing for either his daughter or his Mother in law.

Only problem is the Deuce, Jesse and the team rescued them both. It was a mission with short planning but a successful one. They shot the crap out of the Jamaican gang and made the rescue. That's when they learned from the mother in law, Pet, exactly who ordered them killed. Its the start of another mission for Deuce and his team.

Jesse's friend Henry has a house on an island where they can refuel. Its in the Bahamas. He also has cabins which Jesse and the team rent. They will need to stay there for a couple of days. Pat and her grand daughter Chrissy also need cloths. Angelique is an island girl of mixed race who works for Henry. Her common law husband Rene Cook. A Cook who isn't who he says he is. Angelique will get the cloths and other things for Pat and Chrissy.

Deuce has his IT guru upgrade Henry's internet so they are able to communicate with Jesse and the team. They also come up with a plan to use the Jamaicans to trap Cross. Its a plan that works oh so well. Next stop will be Beaufort, SC.

So begins another damned fine read.

This one has Jesse, Deuce, Travis Stockwell who's Deuce's boss, Bender, Art, Tony, Rusty, Cross, the Jamaicans, Andrew Bourke who's the AIC of the team, Celia Minnich who turned out to be Pescador's real owner, a Celia who has a dog for Jesse, Finn is part Lab and part German Shorthaired pointer, a dog Jesse will give a home to, a trip to Beaufort, SC, Cheryl the IT guru for the team, a Nick Cross who sets up his own plans for Beaufort, Sheena Mason, the plan the team comes up with to take Cross down, Rafe "Swimp" Ross, his cousins and family, people who will do their best to kill Jesse, the team, Pat and Chrissy, a Jesse who saves the day, a Swimp and crew who kidnap Pat, Chrissy and Cheryl, the team who goes to get them and Jesse McDermitt and his team doing their best to kill the bad guys, save who they can and stay alive.

This was another great Jesse McDermitt novel. As usual, it moved quickly with a lot of action and characters that I've come to know and like from his other adventures. I was so happy to see that Jesse got another dog because I thought his previous dog, Pescador, added a sentimental note to his earlier stories. I also noticed that there were two Marine characters mentioned that were thinking about retirement and I wonder if they will be a part of future books.

Funny thing is, although I've visited South Carolina beaches for the last 20 years, I've never really been on a boat there. However, Wayne Stinnett writes such clear and succinct descriptions that I feel as if I know Marathon and Jesse's island well. I've found the entire series to be written incredibly well and unquestionably fantastic! I can't wait for Jesse's next story so, thank you, Wayne, and keep writing!

The main characters are my friends. I've never met them, and I know they're not real, but after reading about them in nine books I feel like they are. These books are wonderfully written, closely checked for accuracy, and just downright interesting. From the first few pages they grab your imagination and from then on you want to keep reading to see what happens. What more could you want in a good book? I hope that there are dozens more books written about Jesse McDermitt and his "family". There's just so much more I want to see happen in his life. Thank you Wayne Stinnett.

Mr. Stinnett you did it again, thank-you for writing good action adventure books. Could not put Fallen Angel down until I finished it! Highly recommend the Jesse McDermott series to all readers of action, drama, boats, and tropical settings. I have read all the books I have found by Mr. Gwinnett. Can't wait for next in series. Will be looking for next book in Charity series this summer. Keep writing good books !

Best and most consistent series since Spencer. Includes a nice selection of facts from real life. Does not dwell on the graphic details of violence and sex any more than needed for the plot. Wonderful example of the benefits to the reading world of giving unknowns access to publishing their work!! This guy would still be trying to get published 20 years ago and we would all be the poorer for it.

I was an airborne paratrooper and am an avid diver in the keys and in the Beaufort SC area where the main part of the book takes place.
The attention to detail and the "brothers in arms" is spot on.
The story telling is great, I feel like I am in these locations and can actually see the action.
You can tell the author does his due diligence in taking the time to accurately portray the location.
The whole 9 book series is awesome and is a must read.

What makes this and all the previous books so special is the humaness of the characters. They grow on you and become real. They have a sense of humor, mostly honor and trust. While this is fiction, it would be nice if there a group like this operating just outside the politics and icians. Traitors, rapists, drug smugglers and modulators have as much right as a rat or scorpion that finds its way into my house.

Looking forward to another.

Muy excellente!
This is the best installment yet in this series. A roster of well developed characters, a plot full of twists and turns set in some of my very favorite coastal areas. From the Low Country of South Carolina to the backwater areas of the Bahamas with a little dose of the Keys Disease, Wayne takes his crew of bad-ass good guys on a tour of places you'd like to go if you haven't been there.
I recommend the entire series. Nicely done, Mr Stinnett! When does the next one come out?

Very simple enjoyable books. As with most authors these days, Mr. Stinnett has learned to stretch the story into many more pages than is necessary. He does not use the usual methodology of going into the extensive background of each character, relevant to the story or not. This author cleverly uses the extensive descriptions of each turn of the wheel as it applies to sailing his many boats as well as lengthy descriptions of each and every gun used.

'Fallen Angel' was another story from a great series that pulled me in and didn't let go. I could feel my emotions get the better of me during quite a few scenes. That takes talent, in my opinion. The story line was well written and well thought out. Quite creative and imaginative. I can't wait to read the next book. A great add to your tbr list.

Finally someone goes to jail. A very entertaining series. Lots of violence and bad guys get eliminated. Jesse may not have a good record with women but he doesn't seem to have any trouble getting them in bed. Nice tribute to our armed forces.

I have loved the Jesse story line and have enjoyed the books very much. Yes, they aren't the next great novel, but they are a good and entertaining read. I do have to be honest and say I was a bit disappointed in the last two books, they were good but not great.... however this one had my attention from page one and kept it. Thanks Mr. Stinnett.

Just finished #9 of #9 of the Jesse McDermott series. Good store. Well written. Grate topic. My family (southern one all) were all Navy and Martins so this was a plus. I love hanging around with them, truly a unique group of men. Wish more guys were like them. Thanks for keeping it clean. Don't like smut in my good reads. Oh, thanks too for the laughs. Enjoyed it all!

Amazing what power and money can change a person into. Politicians seem to lose themselves in the quest for more of both. Can good really triumph over evil? Seems so in this story. Thank goodness for level headed people. Ha,ha. As he jumps off a bridge.

The Jesse McDermitt FALLEN series continues to grow. Mr. Stinnett spins a coastal adventure story raising the ghost of John D McDonald. As the thrill of the chase unfolds, the character development brings me, the reader, right into the cozy family of heroes lead by retired Force Marine, Jessie. He is a stoic, with many damsels to rescue as our Nation is saved from enemies, foreign and domestic.
