OMG OMG OMG!
I absolutely loved loved loved this book?
Every time I read a book written by Sawyer Bennett, I'm surprised (and shouldn't be anymore) at how much I love her writing style. It's like she gets better and better with every book, and even if I have other things to do, I can't seem to help devouring her books when they land on my kindle?
Reed was absolutely no exception to this Sawyer Bennet’s addiction.
It was everything I was hoping for, and even more.

Reed and Josie made such an awesome couple. The fact that their relationship started as friendship only helped their connection to grow stronger and stronger.
Reading this book I clearly felt an ease in their relationship, the feeling of having found a person with whom you can be yourself without fear. They felt good when in each other’s company.

Reed was, well, Reed. Such a down to earth guy, a kind good guy who won my heart from the beginning. The little attentions he gave Josie, and even the difficult moment in their relationship, are indication of his kind heart and generosity.

He was really perfect for Josie, a woman who was burned in the relationship field, and who brought with her the consequences. You don’t have to imagine a delicate and fragile woman because of this: on the contrary, Josie was really admirable and strong, maybe a little lonely, but absolutely not fragile. She was a self made woman, and by self made I mean a woman who knows her worth, her goals and isn’t scared to enter a rough path to reach them.

This book was so good, I want to read it all over again. I strongly recommend to read it, because it’s really worth it.

And last thing: Sawyer Bennett, that cliffhanger about the next book and its protagonists!!! That was just meannnnn :P

Reed was a wonderful addition to the Cold Fury Hockey Series and as with the other books in the series it can be read as a standalone, but, if you're like me you'll want to read them all.

I LOVE a good strong female heroine and that is what we have in Josie, she is first introduced to us when she is knocking on her neighbors door, Reed, to complain that his headboard knocking is keeping me awake and then proceeds to call his bed-mate Barbie, as in the Barbie doll because that's what she looked like....SO FUNNY!! I knew I was going to like Josie just from that but then she became more, she's an ER Doctor so you know she's smart and she has a great sense of humor, although she was a bit insecure at times she had reason to.

Reed, now this is a man with a type, yes he liked his women to look like Barbie, blond with a big rack and legs that went on for days, and he preferred them just about as intelligent as one...sorry Barbie, but the women he was sleeping with were really airheads!

The friendship between Reed and Josie was instant but it did take them awhile to build up to friends with benefits which I appreciated because it felt natural. We get a peek into what is going on with some of the men of Cold Fury as the Stanley Cup makes its rounds to each team member, we also get a peek into the next book which is Marek's second-chance-at-love story with one very heavy bomb that has been dropped when Reed and Marek go to stop a wedding.

Sawyer Bennett has done it again with Reed, she has truly made an entire hockey team filled with men worth getting to know. Each one of these stories have been great reads. I highly recommend not only Reed but the entire series. Happy Reading!!!

Reed by Sawyer Bennett is the tenth book in the Cold Fury Hockey series. It can be read as a standalone but why would you do that when you can get more of this fantastic series!!! You would think by the tenth book that you would be bored...but that is so NOT the case. I feel, if anything, it continues to get better and better and Ms. Bennett continually grows as a writer. So back to Reed-what can I say to make you want to pick this book up and devour it? Well it has one hot, yummy, and charismatic hockey player that makes you swoon and a doctor that brings him to his knees. What can be better than that?!

Reed is a hockey player that has some time off in his off-season, He figures he will enjoy his downtime by having a different woman each night and just spend his days relaxing before the season starts back up again. But Reed had no idea that meeting his new neighbor would change all of that in a blink of an eye…

Josie has just moved into her new place and is finally enjoying the perks of being a doctor. She doesn’t have much of a social life so she spends her time working, sleeping, and doing puzzles. But one night changes all of that. And little did she know that knocking on her neighbors door to tell him to keep it down would be the start of one of the best friendships she's ever had with one of the hottest hockey players of all time.

I adored this book! These characters were so relatable that I really loved watching them fall in love. It was beautiful. Reed’s growth was evident as well as Josie's. The story flowed well and Ms. Bennett did a wonderful job incorporating enough steamy goodness and balancing it with friendship and love. I am so excited to see where the next book in the series takes her!

In the latest installment of the Cold Fury as follow the defensive lineman Reed as he enjoys his summer after winning back to back Stanley Cups. He is enjoying the life of ‘Barbies’ that grace his bed but doesn’t expect that his next door neighbor Josie, will be the one that will turn his whole world upside down. She is nothing like the other girls that he’s been with (in every way possible) and she makes him see that there is more to life then being with woman for just one thing.

I really enjoyed Josie’s character because she is one of those people that was really smart and didn’t care that she came off as an introvert. I feel like sometimes in books, the female character seems to be shamed for liking to stay at home on their days off and just enjoy being by themselves. I like that she loves her job and is not willing to sacrifice her career goals just to be with Reed. And it’s even more refreshing to see that he doesn’t demand that she do.

Like with the other stories, it is a quick read (could probably be read in an hour or two at the pool) but it’s not short on the love scenes or development for the characters. I like that I can read the story in a quick setting on a day off.

The story does start to set up the next book in the series, Marek’s story. We see him make some grand gesture to the woman that he left behind. I’m not 100% sold on the set up but we will see how it turns out when it’s all said and done.

Reed was your typical playboy/athlete. He team won the Stanley cup and life was good. He was going to enjoy his off season. To him that meant a different woman every night. He didn't do relationships. Didn't want to be tied down. Every night another notch was added to his headboard. That was until the night Josie knocked on his door.

Josie was an emergency room doctor and was getting tired of Reed's nightly activity with his "Barbies" and the noise of the headboard banging on the wall she and Reed shared. When she finally had enough she knocked on his door. From this day on a friendship was born. She was unlike any woman he involved himself with. She was smart, intelligent, and beautiful. As time went on he not only wanted to share a bed with her but wanted to share himself. Wanted to spend time with her outside of the bedroom. He was falling for her and enjoying every minute. Until he meets her ex-boyfriend Aiden. It was when talking to Aiden that he realizes he doesn't really know Josie and thinks that maybe he isn't good enough for her. Cannot see that he has anything to offer her. I mean she is a brilliant doctor and he just plays hockey. Will she be satisfied with him? Is he enough? Will she get tired of him and move on to someone else? There is a saying opposites attract and these two definitely have sparks and chemistry. Maybe this saying can apply to them. Reed was a story without the usual jealousy bull. Josie and Reed were always honest with each other. The relationship went from neighbor to friend to lover. It was an enjoyable journey. It had it all: sex, laughter, romance. Another Cold Fury winner.

Reed was a bit of a quiet and unassuming character. I expected bravado but he came across as a sweet but insecure character. Living a relatively shallow life, with a line of Barbie-esque women spending an all too brief time in his company, Reed has never experienced love, until he meets the effervescent Josie.

When Josie unexpectedly bangs on his door thanks to Reed’s headboard banging against her bedroom wall, he finds a spitfire of a woman who is the complete opposite of one of his so-called Barbies. Josie, as Reed’s neighbour, knows he likes a certain type of women and as a result, gives all of his woman a Barbie-themed name.

Josie is a doctor working in emergency medicine at the local hospital and is the polar opposite to Reed, or so he thinks. Despite this, the duo quickly forms a friendship and Reed, who’s in the off-season, finds himself wanting to take care of Josie and ends up spending more time with her. Keen to take their friendship into unknown territory, for Reed, he doesn’t know how to make the next step with Josie. With Josie’s confidence though, they soon have a romantic break-through.

The story doesn’t really have any ups and downs to it until Reed starts to doubt the part he plays in Josie’s life and as a result, this was an easy to read story which was relatively short. The story was lacking in plot somewhat and didn’t have the same fast pace as other titles in the series. That said, this was still an enjoyable read. The build-up to Marek’s story looks to offer a much more complicated storyline though and I can’t wait to read it.

Reed is the 10th book in the Cold Fury Hockey series. This book can be read as a standalone, but IMO is better read in order. I blew right through this book, couldn't put it down, loved it!! The books in this series just keep getting better and better. I absolutely loved Reed and Josie. I'm not giving any spoilers away, but I couldn't stop laughing when they met! It was hilarious!!!! I really enjoyed the story, the characters, the chemistry between the characters. If you like hot and steamy, this book will not disappoint, not only that you get the just the right amount of humor, romance, strife with just a pinch of drama. This book takes off from the beginning and doesn't stop, like a rollercoaster when it's done, you aren't ready and you feel off kilter. I loved seeing a strong female, who is a professional (emergency room doctor), not struggling, didn't need someone to be in her life, but wanted it instead. I enjoyed the glimpse given into what will come in book 11, Marek. I really enjoy getting to see how other characters are doing and their significant others. My only gripe is I wanted more at the end, a little epilogue or something. I know I will read about the characters in other books, but I like that little bit extra. Definitely wasn't ready for the book to end when it did. Overall the book is awesome, the stories truly do keep getting better. I hope this helps! Happy Reading!!!

5 Stars from Brianna!

This book pulls you right in. The story has laughs, betrayal, pain, secrets, and heartbreak.

If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first
Alex (Cold Fury Hockey, #1)
Garrett (Cold Fury Hockey, #2)
Zack (Cold Fury Hockey #3)
Ryker (Cold Fury Hockey #4)
Hawke (Cold Fury Hockey #5)
Max (Cold Fury Hockey, #6)
Roman (Cold Fury Hockey, #7)
Lucas (Cold Fury Hockey, #8)
Van (Cold Fury Hockey, #9)

This is Josie and Reed’s story. Josie is an ER doctor. She is all about work. She has no time for fun. Besides she is just a little bit heartbroken after her man choose his job over her. Reed is a hockey player that is keeping her up with all his headboard banging nights. When she has had enough she goes over and tells him all about it. The become friends. There is chemistry, but neither is looking for anything more then friends with maybe a few benefits. Reed is determined to be friends as Josie makes him laugh and keeps him on his toes. But when the past comes back for Josie will she give up everything with Reed or will she keep on the path with Reed and shut out the past. Can she overcome the past hurt to give Reed a chance? Or is he just spending time with her until someone else better comes along?

I highly recommend this story, and this author. Can’t wait to read the next story in this series!

5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great friends to lovers book. Especially liked how their relationship evovled from neighbors, to friends who hung out all the time and then eventually into lovers. Their dynamic was really good also, you didn’t feel like it was a forced relationship between them or that it went to fast that you didn’t understand how it changed so quickly. Plus the Cold Fury boys were back again and I love how they all interact with each other, they are more than just a team they are family.

Reed has always been the playboy with a new “Barbie” everyday, but when his new neighbor comes by one night and puts him in his place he can’t get her out of his head. He makes sure that they run into each other at the pool and from there will continue to push his way into her life.

Josie can’t believe the arrogance of her next door neighbor, but as she spends more time with him she sees there is more to him than what meets the eye. Not only can she be herself with him but he pushes her to do things outside of her comfort zone.

When they decide to change their relationship from friends to lovers though they will begin to doubt themselves and even question what they can offer one another.

Will they let their insecurities and past loves come between them? Or will they fight for a chance with each other?

Reed was such a sweet romance. I'm always surprised when I see how Sawyer Bennett always makes me want to read more and more books she writes. It's maybe one of the few authors I know I always get back to no matter what.
Some stories works better than other but there's always a different journey, always a different vibes to the story she tells. Some are kinky, she is more daring with each book and some are just plain old good romance.

Reed is the 10th book in the Cold Fury and I think I'll never get enough of these boys. The vibes with so many books in a series is always high and having news fro Alex and even Garrett thrilled me the same each time.

What I enjoyed about this one was how Reed was easy going. Light on the drama, what could have been an issue or cause trouble didn't and I was gladly surprise with how the turn the story took. Several times I thought I had it all figured it out but it was in fact the opposite.
Josie was a great character and while I thought these two wouldn't be a great match, Sawyer Bennett showed me that the differences can bring them together and still makes an incredible chemistry.

Now I need to try to find the patience within me for Marek's book! The ending and what's happening in Reed makes me want to scream! At the moment I don't know if I'm beyond mad at Marek for being such a jerk or a complete idiot for the way he acts.

You would think after so many books that the Cold Fury series would start to get “old” and go a little stale, but Ms. Bennet has mastered the art of keeping the series fresh. It helps that the series is written in multiple sets featuring groups of interconnected characters, so the true supporting cast that needs to be kept track of is fairly small compared to the whole Cold Fury hockey team.
Reed is the first book in a new set within the series and a character that we haven’t seen or heard too much about before now. We meet him not long into his summer break - where he’s determined to have fun when fate knocks on his door in the form of his neighbor Josie.
Reed and Josie’s story is definitely on the lighter/sweeter side as we watch them go from friends to lovers. It was fun watching Reed grow up and start to see the value in a relationship, even when he didn’t really know it was happening. I also appreciated that while Ms. Bennett set up a classic conflict, she took it in a slightly different direction that was true to the characters and honestly made me like them even more.
There is some set up for the next book, but it’s done seamlessly and in such a way that the reader doesn’t feel like they are leaving Reed and Josie’s story to get there.
Overall, this was a great addition to a fun series and I am looking forward to the next installment.

Reed Olson plays for the Cold Fury Hockey team. He is a typical single playboy type of player. He has one type....blonde, tall and busty. Now that the season is over, after having just won their 2nd Stanley Cup, Reed is taking advantage of some fun time.

Josie Ives is an emergency room doctor and recently moved into her new place. Josie is looking for some nice, quiet down time when she isn't working. What she ends up getting instead is woken up by her new neighbor whose headboard keeps knocking against her bedroom wall.

Having had enough, Josie knocks on Reed's door at 1:00 am to confront him. Instantly there is an attraction between the two of them which is surprising since Josie is short, petite and a brunette! Reed wants to get to know Josie and goes out of his way to do so. The more time they spend together as just "friends", the more both of them want more.

It was such fun watching these two fall for each other and boy did they fall hard. I really loved Josie. She was strong, confident and such a great person. Reed was a typical cocky jock but for some reason he really wanted to be a better person around Josie. I'm glad they got their happy ending and I can't wait to hear more about them in the future books. I also enjoyed the little sneak peek into Reed's friend Marek. His story sounds like it is going to be really fun!

Reed is a big, strong Cold Fury Hockey player with a typical type in woman that he has always been with .. The Barbie type according to his new next door neighbor Josie .. who by the way is an ER Physician that works long and tiring 36hours shifts .. sometimes longer at the hospital. So when she gets home all she wants to do is relax and rest to get ready for her next shift and oh yeah do her puzzles ..

When Reed is on the off season all he seems to want to do is hang around the house and wait for Josie to get home so they can have Pizza Beer and Puzzles .. he find her funny sarcastic interest and unflappable BUT what can he offer her only friendship.

But when time goes by and the more time they spend together .. they get comfortable with each other but when an Ex boyfriend comes into town does Reed feel threatened and why ?? Aren’t they just friends ??

With everything going on with their insecurities throwing in Marek’s situation and all hell breaks loose .. hopefully Reed can reign Josie in and make her see she does need someone strong in her life .. it just her work ..

Such fantastic chemistry between these two that they make you pull for them to get their feeling in sync !! Loved it !!

"Reed" is written by Sawyer Bennett, and it is the 10th book in her Cold Fury Hockey series. It can be read as a stand-alone book. It features Reed Olson and Josie Ives.

Reed and Josie are neighbors. One night, after a shift at the ER, Josie knocks on Reed's door and tells him to keep the noise down. She didn't have the best impression of him. He had a continuous flow of women show up... all of which, she would name them barbies.

Nevertheless, Reed and Josie struck up a friendship. Reed stopped bringing women over because his eyes were only on Josie after that point. They liked each other and enjoyed each other's company. They would banter a lot, which added to the dynamics of their relationship and made for some funny scenes! They learned to depend on one another and always hung out every night. I enjoyed watching their relationship grow! They were fun and hot together!

Reed will make you swoon. He really loved Josie and always had her best interest at heart. There's not much to say about them. They just complimented each other perfectly! "Reed" is one of those stories where you don't want to put the book down! I read this in one day, and absolutely loved every minute of it!

LOOOOOOOOOVE THIS SERIES!!!!
Reed is the 10th book in the Cold Fury series. Some would think that by book 10 a series might be getting old. NOPE, it is getting BETTER!!!!!!
Reed and Josie….sigh. I love these two. The chemistry between these two practically set my Kindle on fire. I read this book in one sitting, I just could not put it down, I just kept flipping pages until I read the last work. Then I was pissed because I finished it, I wanted it to just go on and on. But that happens when ever I read one of the books in the series. I LOVE the fact that we get to see what some of the previous characters are doing. I guess that is why I love reading this series. I fall for all of the characters and I ALWAYS want to know more. Yeah, I guess I am a stalker in a way….. But da…rn I love these guys.
I discovered this phenomenal series and author thru NetGalley when I read Zack the 3rd book in this series and I have been a fan ever since of both the series and the author.
I was gifted with a copy of this wonderful book for my reading pleasure and I most definitely enjoyed it and I wanted to tell you why.
I helped you make the decision to purchase this wonderful book. Now, what are you waiting for, go hit that one-click button!!!
Thank you for reading my review.

Working long shifts as an ER doctor, doesn't leave much time for dating or socializing. Upon returning home from a long shift, Josie is rudely awakened by screaming and a headboard banging against the wall. So Josie storms over to her neighbor's where she meets Reed and one of his many "Barbies".

Reed, a player for Cold Fury, has just come off a winning season--nabbing the Stanley Cup. So Reed plans to use the off-season having as much fun as possible. Although Josie isn't really his "type", he finds her intriguing. Reed finds ways to insert himself into Josie's life, while encouraging her to be spontaneous. No more puzzles every night!

Quirky, adorable, funny, endearing...all words to describe Sawyer Bennett's latest Cold Fury novel. The Barbie nicknames were incredibly innovative and hilarious. Reed, so far, is my favorite Cold Fury player! Even though he was portrayed as a player, he had a kind heart. Josie was sassy, intelligent, sarcastic, caring, but also broken. Reed was able to slowly break down those walls to earn her loyalty and trust. I absolutely loved date night under the stars! Josie and Reed had so many layers to delve into, but it was so worth the time. I read a gifted copy and all opinions stated are my own.

4 Stars!

Hello again, hot hockey player! How I've missed you!

Sawyer Bennett's newest book in the Cold Fury series is here and this time it is Reed's story! We first met Reed in Van's book when he asks out Simoine. He was sweet and funny, a real nice guy. However, that is not how Reed is initially portrayed in the prologue and opening chapters of the book. In fact, he is quite the manwhore who has a very obvious type. When his neighbor comes a knockin' in the middle of the night, things between Josie and Reed start off a bit awkard and a whole lot hilarious!

Reed was a pleasure to read. Bennett's smart writing style leads the way to a good flow, great characters and a sweet story; although, I felt this one to be a little bit clinical and not quite as feels-inducing as previous books in the series. There is some OM drama, but it is light and resolves quickly. Not as much interaction with other characters as in some of the previous books, but it worked here allowing for the focus to be mostly on Reed and Josie. BUT, there is a MAJOR tease to the next book in the late chapters and I have to tell you it has me all kinds of salivating for the next book.

Another great addition to one of my favorite series ever!

Loved!

I've gotten a little behind in this series--I have no excuse! Must fix ASAP--but of the half-dozen I've read, Reed and Josie's story definitely ranks up there as one of my favorites. There isn't even any hockey, since it's between seasons (but there is some quality time with the Cup :)) and not a whole lot of drama--Ms. Bennett definitely had multiple opportunities to go the "big misunderstanding" route, but wisely kept it real. What we have instead is a lovely romance between an off-season hockey star and his ER doctor neighbor that made me laugh and then swoon and then laugh again. (And okay, several more swoons, I'll admit.) Watching them go from neighbors to friends to friends with benefits to something neither of them expected going in was just so much fun. Did I mention I loved their story? ;)

Now the next book, Marek , looks to have all of the angsty drama that Reed's story doesn't have, and I can't wait! We get a healthy dose of what's going to be in store for him here, and since he's close friends with Reed, my fingers are crossed that we'll get to see more of Reed and Josie as well. (Anticipatory squeeee!)

Wow! Just amazing! I think I say this after every Cold Fury book and I hope I get to say it for many more to come! I mean, players retire and new players are drafted on to a team so this should be a never ending series, right? How can all of these men be so lovable and incredible? Because Sawyer likes to make us swoon and smile with her well written, sexy stories.
Book 10 is about the sexy Reed Olson. It is the off-season but Reed plays just as hard with his endless stream of “Barbies” in his bed as he does with his team on the ice. He lives in a town home so his bedroom actually abuts his neighbor’s bedroom. Josie Ives is Reed’s neighbor and she is so tired of the headboard banging and screaming next door especially when she gets off her ER shift and desperately needs sleep. After confronting Reed one day, they end up developing a nice friendship and start spending a lot of time together. I am a huge fan of friends to lovers especially when it is on a slow burn. Watching these two people realize that what they have is so much more than friendship is wonderful. This is a sweet, funny, sexy and steamy story that will leave you smiling right down to the last page.

There are very few authors that can commit to and write a series that goes on for this many books. Very few will have you sitting on the edge of your seat, battling wether you love your hero or heroine more and wether this story is better than the last.

This said, Sawyer Bennett is definitely one of the aforementioned authors. Be it her writing style, her choice of flaws in characters or the loveable moments that they spend before becoming the committed power couple that lead the story into the last minute, she has something that makes her words addictive.

I'm a huge fan of proper character development, and even more so of an initial friendship where they get to know each other before falling all over themselves to find beds.

Josie and Reed are a perfect example of how friendships can become more and how insecurities can make you even greater when faced.

Josie is intelligent, hilarious and sassy. Reed is sporty, clever as a fox and has the humour to match his looks. Match made in heaven, right?

The 10th book in the Cold Fury Hockey series makes way for more incredible words by Bennett and shows that this author is not slowing down anytime soon, as the Cold Fury team hopefully isn't.

Another wonderful hockey book by Sawyer Bennett. This book was sweeter and less intense but a wonderful romance. I loved it. Reed Olson lived next door to Dr. Josie Ives and how they met was funny and so interesting. It is the summer where Reed is on break from training with the Cold Fury, so he has plenty of time to do what he wants. Josie is an emergency room doctor who loves her work. Her long time boyfriend who was a doctor left her two years ago to work with Doctors Without Borders and broke her heart. Reed has never been in love and has always had one night stands. It was so sweet that Reed and Josie started off as friends.

I enjoy reading these hockey books as it takes place in Raleigh where I live. There are places that are mentioned in the book that I know especially one where I live! I enjoyed how the two started off as friends and got to know each other instead of just starting with sex. I felt like it was such a deeper relationship than some of the characters had in other books. I thoroughly enjoyed the book, and strongly encourage you to read the book. I enjoyed this book a lot. Reed, always looking for a good time, just never with the same lady. He has a type... a barbie! They all look the same, but they are all a little different. One night it all changes when his next-door neighbor bangs on his door and asks him to keep it down... she can hear the bed hitting the wall she shares with him ;-)

Josie, the sexy Dr. who works and works and works with not much of a social life finds her next-door neighbor sexy and funny as she see him with his many dates who all look the same to her. She does not know he is a famous hockey player and as soon as she finds out she understand the revolving door of woman.

Reed sees something in her that he has never seen in another woman and wants to get to know her. Their friendship turns into a little something more, but what? As they spend more time together, they both are enjoying where this is going..... but with hockey season starting soon and a lost love who comes home to find Josie... what will happen? Does Josie see herself with Reed? Is Reed good enough for Josie? There are some big questions they need to get answered, will they be able to find true love or was their relationship just a summer fling?

With a welcome hockey season summer break, Reed Olson enjoys the finer things in life. Looking no further than his little black book, he occupies his downtime with a succession of beauties, that all seem to emanate from the bustlingly beautiful pool.

Josie Ives is a paediatric ER doctor, who’s full on job is interspersed with periods of calm jigsaw contemplation. During one particular night, she is woken by the conspicuous knocking of a headboard from the town house next door, and having watched the carousel of women shift in and out of the house, she lost her patience. She decides the only option is to knock on her neighbours door and complain about it.

Reed is the 10th book in this series, which, for me, has got better as the series progressed. This was a lighter themed story, but just as entertaining.

Josie proved to be a unique character for Reed to be friends with. She was talented, witty, with oodles of banter to keep Reed mesmerised.

Sawyer, once again, has produced a story that can be so easily inhaled and savoured. Really looking forward to Marek’s turn, given the reveal in this story!

Sawyer Bennett is one of my favorite authors. I one-click everything she writes. I get lost her worlds of suspense, angst, and heat, but REED just didn’t hit the mark for me. It lacked the angst and drama and even spice I’ve come to expect and LOVE from this author.

Reed is absolutely adorable. His vibrancy for life is contagious, and, even as a reader, you can’t help but catch his mood. Josie is also a great heroine: easy going, smart, and witty. Their chemistry is great and light. There really is nothing wrong then as characters or a couple.

Reed’s story is sweet, maybe too sweet. I missed the angst and drama of the Cold Fury books of the past. I needed a bigger, more substantial conflict, something to test this couple. I was, in fact, more drawn to the plot of Marek, and the storyline that Bennett has set up with his appearance in the novel.

Reed was a miss for me, but the writing is still fantastic with lovable characters and light romance. I just found myself putting the book down instead of being consumed as I normally am by her words. I am still, though, looking forward to Marek, as that seems to be promising in the drama department.

I love the Cold Fury Hockey Series by Sawyer Bennett and Reed did not disappoint!

Reed just finished the season and back-to-back championships so he's taking it easy and having lots of fun. Emphasis on lots! He's got women over all the time. Unfortunately Reed's neighbor Josie shares bedroom walls with him. She works the ER and just wants to come home and sleep but she's kept up by the constant headboard banging! She can't take it anymore and pays him a visit. He's definitely a greek god but she wants sleep! Reed is definitely intrigued by his neighbor and realizes that these nightly hookups are leaving him kind of empty.

Before you know it, Josie and Reed are hanging out and becoming friends. Then the friends become friends with benefits. But its not all smooth sailing! Josie likes her privacy and she has a past. Will they be able to work it out during the upcoming season? Is she willing to give up her privacy? This was such a well written book and while it definitely is HOT HOT HOT and the chemistry is undeniably good, watching the friendship blossom was fun. A great read!

Loved loved loved Reed and Josie!! Their relationship started in the funniest way ever and from there a very genuine friendship that turned into more.

Josie is an ER doctor and Reed is a famous hockey player that has never had a relationship. Josie is married to her job. All of that changes the day she finally meets her neighbor that parades a strings of Barbies every day. It was so funny. Reed started noticing her after she yelled at him and from then he was intrigued. She was nothing like the women he’s use to “dating”. He made sure Josie loosened up a little. Then things changed between them. Their relationship was the best.

I liked that no one from Reed past interferes in their relationship. But someone from Josie’s past appears and Reed thinks he’s not enough for her. Who would’ve thought the sexy jock was insecure when it came to his “Doc”.

After Josie set him straight he got out of his head. I’m glad they weren’t apart long and loved how the book showed each growth in their relationship. Throw in two of his teammates and you’ll have a good read.

Omg, their first meeting, well that was...different. She comes to complain about a banging noise and he opens the door. But honestly, they were both so cool about it. I liked them both for it. And they become friends since she is so different from the women he dates.

Reed is a hockey player (wohoo sports romance). He is off season and dates *coughs* around a bit. But he is a really sweet guy.

Josie is an ER doc. She likes puzzles and, ok fine, she might be in a rut.

They meet. They become friends. And then they take another step and another. It was cue to see them so obviously fall in love even though trying to be friends. And they are so good together. He lets her be wild, she lets him be calm.

Yes it was book 10, nope, I did not feel like I had missed a thing.

Cute and funny

Narrators
Cris Dukehart, Graham Halstead

I liked this his and hers POV. So we get two narrators and it does help being totally in their heads. And yes cos it was written this way it totally needed too.

I love a good story about a raunchy player neighbor and the woman next door who brings him to his knees. Reed meets Josie when his sex-capades keeps her awake after a long shift as an ER doctor. She brazenly bangs on his door and a friendship between the two starts almost immediately.

The strength of this story is that friendship. While the attraction between these two was there from the start it was the foundation they built as friends that made the move to lovers all the more exciting. It’s the kind of story that gives you tingles of excitement when they get that first kiss. The kind of story where the pages burn with passion when those kisses become more passionate. And the kind of story that stays in your heart when all the pieces come together and something magical happens.

Reed has quickly become one of my favorite books in the series. If you are a longtime lover of the Cold Fury boys like me then you don’t want to miss this one and I guarantee that if you are grabbing this one as a standalone it will make you want to jump in feet first to the entire series.

“You’re it for me, Reed,” I whisper. “The love I was supposed to wait for.”
There is something about Sawyer Bennett’s writing that I just can’t help but to get lost in her words. I fell in love with the Cold Fury series since day one, I have read every single one of these books and I don’t ever want them to end. I love Josie and Reed’s story so darn much. He’s so charismatic and sexy and so swoons worthy.
“Something I’ve never had before. Something I didn’t think I needed. Now that I’ve had it, it’s something I don’t want to do without.”
I didn’t want this book to because there’s just something about Reed and Josie’s story that draws you in and you get so addicted. The chemistry between these two was off the charts and the back and forth banter between them will leave you wanting more. I love a great friend to lover’s romance and Sawyer Bennett nailed it with Reed and Josie’s story.
Funny, sexy and charming are just a few words I would use to describe this book and I love a book that have a perfect HEA.

I really enjoyed this charming, friends to lovers romance. Reed Olson and ER Dr. Josie Ives are new neighbors. Their first meeting was a little rough but they soon became fast friends. Reed is looking for a summer of no cares and lots of women. That is until he meets Josie, who is feisty, funny and so not his type. But he can't stop thinking about her and soon she turns his world upside down. Josie had her heart broken years ago, and with her busy hospital schedule, she isn't looking for a relationship. But Reed shows her how to live in the moment, and have fun as he learns that just sitting with Josie, drinking beer and working on a puzzle, are the best times of his life. I really loved the witty banter, Reed's sweet gestures, and their smoking hot chemistry. There are a few bumps in the road along the way to their HEA that kept me totally engaged in this fast paced, sexy romance. This is the first book in this series that I've read, and I definitely want to check out the first 9 books!

These Cold Fury boys - I just can't get enough!!! I adored Reed & Josie and I loved that this story took place mainly in the off season so we could see just how these hockey hotties unwind.

Reed was looking for some R&R and he loved the Barbie type. But after meeting his new neighbor, Josie, he isn't so sure the Barbie type is going to cut it anymore.

"I was kissing the f*** out of you," he mutters, and takes a step toward me. "Going to do it again once you get this out of your system."

I loved how Josie & Reed started off as friends and formed into more showing just how much opposites can attract.

"I can't get enough of you, Josie, so I want you close to me as much as possible."

Watching a playboy find the one is always a treat and Reed was such a charming, loving man. This story was full of fun, love, laughter, and happily ever after. And I certainly cannot wait for Marek's story next!

This series is just so so good!!!
Once again , Sawyer Bennett delivered a story that got me hooked from the start!!
The Hockey season is over and the boys just won THE cup. It’s time to relax and enjoy life! Reed so does that by banging every Barbie he meets!! Things changed when he met his sexy neighbour Josie. The banter and friendship between them made me laugh out loud but more importantly made my heart melt.

”As long as we keep this light and fun with an emphasis on the friendship—well, an emphasis on the benefits—this should work out fine.”

They decide to be friends ... with benefits but for how long before someone gets hurt? Or before someone wants more?

“How in the hell had Reed gone from banging every Barbie doll in the free world to bestowing the ultimate in romantic gestures?”

Reed?? loved it!

Oh. My. God.....I ?❤️Love Reed!!! This book is a Neighbors-to-Friends-to-Lovers story that was the BEST!! Josie is next-door neighbors with Reed. In the middle of the night, as Reed is going at it with yet another “Blond Barbie” (*snort*), Josie bangs on his door to get his girl to stop “shrieking” so she can get some sleep. Josie is an ER Doc who just came off a long shift & just wants to sleep. Reed doesn’t know what to make of Josie who’s short, curvey & a brunette, and not his normal type. He’s intrigued, though, and sincerely apologizes. From there on, they form an unlikely friendship, which is easy & fun with no pressure. As time goes on, feelings change, doubts creep in & someone from Josie’s past makes Reed feel like he isn’t good enough for her.
This book had me GLUED, laughing & wanting more! I loved both Reed & Josie & think their story’s perfect!!
You won’t be disappointed reading, “Reed!!” ❤️❤️❤️

So happy to learn the Carolina Cold Fury series will continue for the foreseeable future. The latest player, in every sense of the word, is Reed. In the beginning Reed has a very definite type of woman he pursues blonde, tall, and buxom. Then he meets his next door neighbor who is the opposite of his “type”. Josie is petite, dark hair and is an ER doc, not a model. He finds he can’t think of anyone else as the two start spending a lot of time together. They begin as friends, but surprisingly Reed finds himself wanting more. He has never been in a relationship and Josie is damaged by a failed relationship. The question becomes can he get over his relationship inexperience and can she overcome her fear of relationships, especially when her old flame comes back in the picture. This story is very funny. The two main characters are so likable. It is emotional as well. One of Sawyer’s best.

I voluntarily read and reviewed a copy from the author.

Reed was a fun addition to the Cold Fury series. I've read every book in this series, some I love and some I didn't. I have to admit that the beginning kind of turned me off of their love story, but I eventually got over it. The one thing I really liked about this story line is how Reed and Josie started out as just friends. I loved seeing the progression of their friendship slowly turning in to more. They were perfect for each other, the professional hockey player and the doctor. I also liked seeing a glimmer of the next book in the series. I always enjoy how each book in this series is standalone but you get to see previous and new characters with each story. If you enjoy this hockey series, then this book is a one not to be missed.

I absolutely fell for Reed and Josie. They really built up their friendship and when they finally took it to the next level, lord almighty was it hot!

I adored how this book really started from the bottom and gave a realistic, I mean, as realistic as can be for a book, foundation for a great relationship starting from neighbors to friends to lovers.

Josie is someone to admire as she strove for her goals and her career rather than waiting on a man or following her ex around the world when he left. I think that was something you could tell Reed appreciated about her.

Their conversations and rapport had me giggling quite often. I really enjoyed reading this story and I cannot wait for snippets of them in the upcoming books for the Cold Fury.

Fun loving Reed is charming and sexy and has this sweet, romantic side. His man-whoring ways with the "Barbies" ??? takes a drastic turn when his neighbor makes a scene over the headboard knocking and screaming. ????? funniest moment of the whole book!

The first half will half will keep you entertained. The second half will have your heart turning into a puddle of goo.

Reed is a great character with some depth but surprising insecurities. Josie is spirited and can totally hold her own! She takes no crap and is such a strong, intelligent woman. And that's what it takes to put life in perspective and see a future outside of hockey and flings.

Another great Cold Fury story!! And Marek?! Color me intrigued!!

Reed isn't looking for anything other than a relaxing summer after winning the cup for the second time in his career. As much as he is having fun he quickly realizes that his one night stands are just not cutting it. When he meets his neighbor she catches his eye immediately but she is different. The more time he spends with her the more he craves her.

Josie has done well for herself, established doctor and loves her job. Outside of the hospital she doesn't have much. When she is not working she is working on her puzzles. One heated conversation with her neighbor turns her life upside down.

Can the Jock and the Doc be what each other needs?

This was another fun Cold Fury read. Liked Reed and Josie's story. Excited for Marek's story to come next.

Holy hockey hotness! This book was magnificent! Sawyer Bennett delivers a story that’s both sexy & sweet sprinkled with humor and loaded with heart in Reed. I absolutely devoured this book! It had me sucked in right from the hilarious start and I didn’t put it down until the melt your heart ending. This book has it all!

I’m going to call dibs on Reed. Just sayin’. He’s the perfect book boyfriend. Funny, sweet, and omg sexy, I loved him! Everything about him was wonderful. The man is ridiculously charming. Josie may be his opposite on the outside, but these two were so perfectly matched. They were adorable together and I couldn’t get enough of them. I could read about these two over and over again. They’re story is just that great.

Man how I love these Cold Fury boys!!! Sawyer Bennett can write the heck out of a hockey romance! I loved this book...love this series!

Reed's in his off season, has won he Stanley Cup and is taking advantage of having free time to be his typical manwhore self...nothing changes until Josie knocks on his door, frustrated with all the "noise!"

Josie's an ER Dr, tired of Reed's extracurricular's lol Once she finally has enough of Reed, a true friendship is born. Reed finds her a gorgeous as she is smart.

Ex boyfriends, insecurities, romance, humor, sparks & chemistry! Loved this book! Loved Reed!
Another ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ from one of my favorite authors :)
