Satisfaction is the second installment of Lexi Blake's Lawless series and follows Brandon. If you've already started this series than you know the mission that the Lawless siblings are on; to get revenge on their parents murderer. This book picks up where the last one left us but now focuses on Brandon as he tries to recruit Carly for the Lawless team of vengeance.

Carly is stuck working for the boss from hell, so when Brandon comes to her and tells her that her boss isn't just a bitch to work for but a suspected killer she actually believes him. Working with Brandon is certainly no hardship for her, but Carly is determined to keep feelings out of their plans. While Brandon is equally determined to make Carly realize her true feelings about him.

Okay so this review is actually kind of hard to write. Why? Because this author is a huge favorite of mine and I wanted to love this book so hard, but I just didn't. The character lost me with this one and I don't have too many great things to say about either of them. However, I can say that I did like them together and thought they made a good couple.

Individually, though, neither of them were my favorite. Carly was a real problem for me because of her insecurities and how much they were voiced. I felt like the majority of the first half of the book was just her second guessing herself and wondering why someone like Brandon would be with her. It got to be very annoying to hear her constantly doubting Brandon wanting her, especially since I also felt that her issues were never resolved. She and Brandon never actually talked about what her fears were and it kind of bothered me when those feelings of hers seemed to just disappear in the second half.

Carly also gave me some bad vibes when there was a situation where she needed money, and I'm not talking about a $2 loan, I mean a million dollars, and she readily took it from Brandon. Yes he offered and didn't have an issue with helping her out, but it just rubbed me the wrong way that she never talked to him about it in depth or even tried to get him not to give so much money.

Now on to Brandon, he was definitely a complicated character. I could tell right from the beginning that he had issues, and I really wanted to know more about what those were. But as we explored just what his problems were, I was disliking his character more and more. We were told near the very end why he was the way he was, but then it was never explored, so I felt like we didn't actually get to ever learn what made him tick. And before we were told all I saw was a grown man unable to articulate what his own feelings were and too scared to seek comfort from more than one night stands.

As a whole, I enjoyed this book and I liked the suspense that was added in while we tried to figure out more of the mystery of the Lawless' past. There was one big shocker at the end that I did not see coming and now has me ready to scream until I can get the next book. The characters were not my favorite and I had several problems with them, but they never stopped me from enjoying the overall story. I would still recommend this book for anyone that is a fan of mysteries and hope you will be as surprised as I was by the end.

The Lawless siblings have dealt with their parents’ deaths and subsequent upbringing differently, due to where they were placed in the system, in what they experienced due to that placement and what means they had to plan their revenge on a group of people that monumentally altered their lives in the worst ways possible.

In Ruthless, readers witnessed Riley Lawless put into motion his part of the plan by seducing, manipulating, and using Ellie Stratton, but in the end, Riley realized that his feelings for Ellie and her presence in his life was worth more than any information he could acquire from her as a pawn in his quest for revenge rather than his partner.

In Satisfaction, another person involved in death of the Lawless’ parents becomes the Lawless’ siblings target, and even though Drew was supposed to be on point for this phase of the plan, Bran refuses to allow another woman to be unknowingly used in their scheme, taking a risk of losing the “in” they need to take down Patricia Cane but also finding the woman who might just calm his rage and need for violence as well as help Bran to realize his past doesn’t have to define his present or destroy his future.

Lexi Blake does a fantastic job of fusing the romantic and suspenseful plot lines of the Lawless series together in such a seamless way that they exist as a single entity – both dependent on the other to move the storyline forward as well as explore how the love and support of a good woman can mean all the difference when it comes to moving on from a less than stellar past and a single-minded focus on revenge.

Bran Lawless is not like any of his siblings, which makes sense due to his experiences in foster care and his feelings of inadequacy and need for violence. He watched how everything played out between Riley and Ellie and what Riley’s lies almost cost him, so he goes about securing Carly Hendricks’ assistance in their revenge plot in an upfront and non-duplicitous way, which is absolutely the way to go because Carly had already been lied to and used by her ex-husband and continues to be manipulated by her boss, Patricia Cane.

But what Bran didn’t anticipate was wanting Carly for more than just a way in or as someone to warm his bed, and while he doesn’t believe they can have a future together due to the fact that he’s damaged goods and he doesn’t deserve her, the peace she gives him is something he finds essential to keeping his demons at bay for as long as she’ll have him.

Bran and Carly’s growing relationship as well as the plan to uncover proof of the players involved in their parents’ murder are intricately woven together and tell quite the story of loss, lust, love, and betrayal, providing readers with the necessary insight in order to understand why Bran sees himself as a lost cause and why Drew can’t let go of their plot of revenge regardless of the strain it seems to be putting on the Lawless siblings.

The chemistry between Bran and Carly and the way that they heal one another’s pasts, and Drew’s intelligence as well as his need to protect all of his siblings in any way he can are the two driving forces of Satisfaction, allowing Bran a way to recover from what happened to him and proving just how much the deaths of their parents as well as the dubious plot against them continues to wreak havoc on them and seems to twist and turn in ways none of them could have ever thought possible.

The truths revealed in Satisfaction definitely change things for the Lawless siblings, but what that means for Drew Lawless and his need for revenge is left unanswered and while there seems to be a clear path for him to follow…that path cannot be traversed without the help of an unlikely ally, and she might just be the one to knock Drew on his butt and have him living for so much more than the next phase in his plot to destroy all those involved in their parents murder.

This is the second book of the Lawless series and one I have been anticipating since finishing Ruthless, this book centres on Brandon Lawless who is the youngest male sibling! I have to admit I didn't think Lexi could top Ruthless, it was a book that intrigued me and kept me wanting more throughout but for me Satisfaction completely won out!

This book grabbed my attention from the outset, I haven't been able to put it down since I started it and have finished it in one long sitting! Lexi's writing draws me straight into the heart of the book and pulls me in more and more every page I read. There are so many different layers and you feel like you've just got one uncovered when you find the next layer waiting to be torn away! The suspense is well built and never overdone nor is it skimmed over, it's always well thought out and developed.

I knew Bran was going to steal my heart but I don't think I realised just how much! His story really pulled on my heart strings and there were times my heart literally ached for the feelings he had about himself! He was so much more loveable that Riley, don't get me wrong I did love Riley in his story but Bran's character just had so much more of an appeal to me. The way he treated women and especially Carly endeared me to him and there were times I just wanted to steal him for myself.

Carly was such an amazing heroine for me, she has had some really bad luck but her good nature and her kind heart never lost their sparkle. She was a great influence on Bran. She has definitely been my favourite woman in the series so far.

I feel like I have a vested interest in this family and the secrets they are trying to uncover, that's Lexi's gift! She makes you feel as if you are living this alongside these characters and have just as much to lose as them. There were times in this book I had to stop reading as my eyes had misted over and I had to have a little cry and then there were times I was sitting biting my nails wondering where she was leading us next!! There is no way I could have anticipated what happened in the epilogue and Lexi is an evil genius for leaving me hanging on like that.

I'm expecting great things from Drew and especially Shelby, I think she will keep him on his toes and bring some good humour to Revenge! I can't wait to get my grubby mitts on it!!

This book has so much going for it, the characters have amazing chemistry, they are all likeable and totally relatable and the suspense and intrigue keeps you desperately waiting to see what happens. This is a must read series!!

Well played, Ms. Blake, well played.

I loved the first in this series! The mystery, the revenge plot, the whole setup for Bran's story, I couldn't wait to hop into this one and immerse myself in the world of the Lawless siblings.

Bran was portrayed as the one with the big and soft heart in the first installment of this series. The one who couldn't resist a damsel in distress, but also the one with major anger management issues. After the chaos of the first part of their revenge plot in Ruthless Bran doesn't want another woman hurt by his family. He takes charge and crosses Drew's plans when he approaches Carly Fisher, while she is waiting for a date she was matched with on an online matchmaking site.

Carly divorced her husband two years ago, when he embezzled a lot of money from her boss and dragged her sister into the mess, forcing Carly to keep working for the horrible woman. When Bran inserts himself into her life she doesn't know what hit her. How can this gorgeous man even be interested in her?

Bran doesn't mince words, he is very clear that he isn't looking for a lasting relationship. His demons are always present. He can barely get his anger under control and when he zones out he doesn't remember a lot of what happened when his anger takes over. We are kept in the dark about the reason why Brandon is traumatized but we get a clear picture that he is convinced that he doesn't deserve love. Carly is the person who gives him calm and settles his turmoil.

But, as it is, it's not always that easy, right?

Carly is a little pale and lackluster in comparison, not only to Bran but also to Ellie, the heroine of the first book. Her insecurities and constant questioning of Bran's desire for her started to grind a little bit on my nerves at some point. I couldn't see why he would want this mousy girl who lacked self confidence at every corner. While the sex was hot (thanks to Bran) I just didn't feel their connection.

I did love the mystery and the plot twist at the end of the book, while I kind of saw it coming, it was still really well done. We are also introduced to Drew's love interest and I predict some fun moments between the investigative reporter Shelby and our nerdy Lawless brother. While this was not a complete winner it was still an enjoyable read. I love Lexi Blake's flawless storytelling and can't wait to read Drew's story!

Bran is my favorite Lawless bother! I loved his story and completely fell in love with him. The Lawless series is a spinoff of Lexi Blake's Masters and Mercenaries series. The series will have a book for each of the brothers in the Lawless family, but their sister Mia has a book in the Masters and Mercenaries series, Dominance Never Dies. You don't have to read it before picking up the Lawless Series, but if you want to follow the complete storyline I'd read it first. The Lawless Series is all about the Lawless siblings seeking vengeance for their murdered parents. Bran is the youngest Lawless brother and Carly is the PA to the woman the Lawless siblings think murdered their parents. Their story was full intrigue, danger, suspense and smoking hot romance. It's a hot romance series with a mystery that keeps the reader guessing. I highly recommend this series and can't wait for the oldest brother's book.

The Lawless siblings still on their revenge to exposed the person who behind their fallout family. In the previous book, Ruthless, Riley Lawless managed to exposed StratCast with Ellie Stratton's help. Patricia Cain has became their next target. She supposed to be the key of their parent's death. But Brandon Lawless isn't like his brothers. No lies, only truth.

Carly Fisher is a hard worker in the behind for Patricia Cain and decided to resign. Because of some unfortunate events, Patricia 'blackmail' her so she couldn't leave. As a wounded man, Bran didn't believe with himself. But helping Carly Fisher is the top priority and he believe she's innocent. He wouldn't use dirty tricks to Carly. Slowly Bran feels something for her beyond as fake lovers.

I found it hard to like Carly. Well, she's independent and hard-working person. But there is something with her that I didn't 'click'. I think she's lack of passion or something. Her life only for works and her sister, nothing intriguing to know more. Because of her failed marriage, Carly feels insecure with her body. Moreover the pressure from her evil boss, Patricia Cain.

On the other side, Bran is a whole package of mysterious. He never talk about his past. He fool around with strip club and drinking before Carly. The worst is the anger issue when he lost control. Bran also has knight-in-shinning-armor syndrome. He actually likes her from the first time, but he didn't brave enough to admit it.

The most important thing, there is no sparks between Bran and Carly. The sex was okay, I guess. Maybe because the lack of chemistry between them. I enjoyed the dirty talk but somehow, it was frustrating to remember they're always round in circle with same problem. Carly's insecurity with her damsel-in-distress attitude irritated me. She keeps bringing it up again and again.

The story was well-written but very slow and too long to get done. It didn't bring up to my speed with their revenge plot which is kinda failed. A decent read, though. The ending was anti-climax, but Lexi Blake managed to surprise us with another unpredictable move. I can't wait for the final book. It is about Drew Lawless! Yeah, that hot nerd. Together with Shelby Gates; a reporter and Carly's friend, he will seek the truth.

When I read the first book of this series, I fell in love immediately. A brilliant story of revenge that includes espionage, deception, and scandal. It’s an addicting premise for any fan of suspense. But what makes that premise spectacular is the characters who help to make it unfold before your very eyes. So when Satisfaction was released, I was thrilled that I’d see more of what made the first book of the series so great. Or would I…

Satisfaction starts right where Ruthless left off. Ms. Blake throws you right back in to the lives of the Lawless siblings with full force. Naturally, I’m hooked. Our sibling this go-round, Brandon (otherwise known as Bran), is sexy. He’s internally fighting his need for revenge, but he’s also got a certain old-fashioned charm to him that is undeniably attractive. So when he meets Carly, his enemy’s assistant, I was thrilled at the idea of their romance exploding before me with all kinds of chemistry. Except… it never did.

Now, don’t get me wrong. Lexi Blake knows how to write some extremely steamy scenes. She just… gets it. But all eroticism and steaminess aside, the needed connection between Carly and Bran was just never there for it to be a truly believable romance. Something with the two of them was just off for me. I’m not sure if it was Bran’s self-wallowing, or Carly’s insecurities and lack of compassion for those around her… or if it was just that their personalities weren’t compatible. Either way, this was the one area of the book that truly lacked for me.

That being said, this was still a solid story. Ms. Blake is a fantastic story-teller with a unique voice. Satisfaction may not have been as good as Ruthless, but she still manages to continue the saga of the Lawless siblings the best way she knows how – with sizzle.

Satisfaction
Lawless series book #2
Release Date: January 3, 2017

I always look forward to discovering what Lexie Blake's characters will be like. I've come to expect a healthy dose of sarcastic wit and laugh out loud moments. I was very happy to see that this book had those ingredients.

I will admit that I found this book a wee bit slow in the beginning. I wasn't put off by it because I was confident that I would get sucked into the story soon enough. After a few chapters, that did indeed happen. I've never been disappointed by a Lexie Blake novel. I'm glad to see the trend continue with this book.

I had a quick social media conversation with a friend about how to describe Brandon. I couldn't put my finger on a word that I thought would encompass him. He was vulnerable, yes, very much so. But there was something else. My friend nailed it on the head...blunt, Brandon Lawless is ridiculously blunt! His thoughts and feelings, no matter how awkward or painful they might be, always came spewing out of his mouth. He kept a dark secret to himself, but other than that, Brandon was honest in everything. It was sometimes uncomfortable, but not it a bad way. It was actually refreshing to have a hero that didn't beat around the bush.

I adore a story that has the hero wanting to be the "knight in shining armour". Brandon's need to coddle and protect is always apparent. Carly doesn't want to fall hard for this guy. She's got a ton of crap going on with her evil boss and doesn't want anymore complications. Too bad her heart and girly bits didn't care about practicality.

I loved these two together. They made a cohesive team. Brandon wanted to keep her safe and she eventually let him do it. I've read a lot of romance novels, and I think Brandon might be the hero that I wanted to save the most. He's tortured and doesn't believe he deserves a chance at real happiness. I wanted to scoop him up and love on him.

This book has a continuing story arc that started with book 1 and will continue through the next book. Each couple gets their happily ever after, so there's no cliffhangers there. The suspense aspect, catching the bad guys is continued. In true Lexie Blake fashion, there is some serious super sleuthing in this book! All sorts of clues and moments where you're like...what the hell?! I didn't see that coming! I'm always kept on my toes and I love it!

The supporting characters in this book are fabulous. Drew Lawless, the older brother is a hoot! His social graces are lacking. He's a bit awkward, but he's super yummy and delicious! His book is next and I can't wait! I was so excited to be able to visit with some of the McKay-Taggert team from Lexie's, Masters and Mercenaries series! This series is a spinoff of sorts from that series, but you don't need to have read those to fully enjoy these books. But you totally should read that series too! I can't really delve into too many details without giving away spoilers, so it's a bit daunting to try and tell you how much I enjoyed it. The characters were well written, the plot is thick with important details and fast paced action, and the love scenes were tantalizing. This is a book, and series, that any romance lover won't want to miss!

Brandon Lawless is the sibling that many people would overlook, he's a man with many layers. Most of the time he's mister happy, easy going, not much gets to him, until his demons emerge and the darkness overtakes him.

So after everything that went down with Riley and Ellie, he vows to not let their next target go through the same. So he takes matters into his own hands and approaches Carly instead of Drew. He likes what he sees and would love to get his hands, lips, tongue, and others parts of himself all over her, but long term relationships are never going to be in his future.

Carly has been between a rock and a hard place for several years now. First her ex husband stole a butt load of money from her boss, his gambling debt is owed to some unsavory people and they are look to her to pay it off, and her boss has been taking all her ideas and recipes and calling them her own. So when she is approached by Bran with a rather intriguing offer, she must stop and make a decision that will change her entire world.

Patricia Cain proves to be sly target proving you can never trust anything she says, but there is more the mystery surrounding the death of the Lawless parents that cause more questions than answers. Can the Lawless siblings along with Carly finally get the answers they are looking for, or will they end up paying with their life?

Satisfaction is the second book in the Lawless series and the mystery only deepens. This time we focus on Bran and Carly's relationship that started out as a no strings attached, each gets what they desire, into something more profound and endearing. Bran's past comes to the forefront and he must learn to deal with it properly in order to more forward into the future. I loved Carly's heart, she has so much love even though she hasn't always been the receiver of such. The way she strives to help the Lawless family even if her relationship with Bran doesn't continue show just how big her heart is.

The chemistry between Bran and Carly is undeniable and the sparks leaps off the pages. Bran's got a dirty mind and isn't afraid to let Carly know exactly what he wants and how he's going to get it. It's hot, hot, hot and oh so tantalizing.

Carly becomes a strong, independent, assured woman with Bran's attention and love. Bran is a complicated man, but he can't help but want to be a better person not only for himself but for Carly as well. They are well matched and can't help but bring out the best in each other, giving just as much as they receive.

And the new information that is discovered will leave you scratching your head and seating on the edge of your seat. I can't wait to see how all this new information will play out and finally getting to the real reason this tragedy ever occurred.

The Lawless family members Mia, Drew, Riley and Brandon were introduced in the Masters and Mercenaries series story Dominance Never Dies, and their quest for vengeance for the murder of their parents and ruination of their lives is the focus of the Lawless series. The first steps were taken in Ruthless featuring Riley, and now Brandon is up in Satisfaction as they execute the next step in eldest brother Drew’s master plan.

I realized in Ruthless that Bran is the lovable softhearted member of the family, but he was badly emotionally wounded by his childhood for reasons unknown at that point. Satisfaction eventually reveals exactly how bad it got for him once he was placed in the foster care system and taken away from his sister Mia, but suffice it to say it has led to Bran’s cultivation of a healthy White Knight syndrome in adulthood. He has done everything that Drew has asked of him so far to further their plans, but when he spots Drew’s next target to help bring down one of their father’s former business partners, Bran quickly steps in to avoid Drew completely screwing up their plans.

Carly’s childhood was no barrel of laughs either but at least she had her sister Meri to help her get by, and it is her love for her sister that has her between a rock and a hard place now. Carly married her first boyfriend and had dreams of finding happiness away from the trailer park, but happiness soon faded under the weight of cheating and betrayal. Several years, a divorce, and one jail sentence for her ex later, Carly finds herself still stuck under the thumb of her narcissistic ice queen of a boss who is blackmailing her and using her sister for leverage to maintain control over her. Where Drew’s calculating mind sees an easy target for manipulation, Bran sees a beautiful woman stuck in a bad situation who still has an air of innocence about her. When he approaches her to ask for her help, his brother wonders if Bran is making another attempt at being a savior but Bran is actually far more intrigued by Carly than he lets on.

Satisfaction has plenty of twists and turns, intrigue, suspicion and surprises as Carly and Bran work together to find a way to accomplish Drew’s goals and bring down Carly’s boss. They have a natural chemistry that doesn’t take long to combust, and their scenes together were oh so yummy! He doesn’t expect his past to come roaring back at the most inconvenient times to affect his equilibrium though. He manages to scare the heck out of both Carly and his family, and if he can’t find a way to deal with his memories, he may lose everything all over again. He feels unworthy of the love of a good woman, and he needs to find an outlet or resolution to his lingering resentment and anger issues. Bran and Carly fit well together as she helps smooth those rough edges and his attention helps her regain her confidence, but when the ultimate test is thrown at them, will they find the strength in each other to come out the other side walking the same path or will they go separate ways?

Of course there had to be a spectacular jaw-dropping development in the closing paragraphs, and now I can’t wait see what happens in Drew’s book! Family friend and mentor Hatch still worries me though as I can’t seem to trust him as completely as Drew does. Speaking of Drew, I am so looking forward to watching him fall for a woman and I think we have been shown exactly who will bring him to his knees metaphorically. He is a bit of a nerd by his own admission with extreme intelligence and focus, but that laser focus on revenge has left him a bit stunted in other areas. He doesn’t easily grasp the idiosyncrasies and nuances of human behavior and emotion so he can come across as very cold and calculating or robotic at times so far. He showed glimpses of progress in this story though and I am betting his book will be an amazing ride! In the meantime, be sure to check out both Ruthless and Satisfaction.

4.25 stars--SATISFACTION is the second installment in Lexi Blake’s contemporary, adult LAWLESS romantic, suspense series focusing on the Lawless siblings-Riley, Drew, Brandon and Mia. This is Brandon Lawless, and PA Carly Hendricks’s story line. SATISFACTION can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty but I recommend reading the series in order for backstory and cohesion as each installment focuses on revenge and retribution for a twenty year old murder. There is a bit of a cross over/spinoff with Blake’s Masters and Mercenaries series with the appearance and ongoing role for Mia Lawless and Navy SEAL Case Taggart (Dominance Never Dies), and the McKay –Taggart Security Service.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Brandon and Carly) SATISFACTION focuses on revenge against the people believed to have murdered the sibling’s parents. Twenty years earlier Benedict Lawless and his wife Iris were killed in a house fire intended to kill the entire family-a murder for hire where greed and power were the precipitating factors. The authorities ruled it a murder/suicide but the Lawless siblings are determined to clear their father’s name. Fast forward to present day wherein our hero Brandon Lawless, steps out of his comfort zone, and approaches Carly Hendricks hoping for some help with the investigation into his parent’s murder. Carly is the PA to media mogul and reality TV personality Patricia Cain-a woman linked to the Lawless murder, and the potential murder of several other parties. What ensues is the building relationship between Carly and Brandon, and the struggle to protect Carly from her ex-husband’s past.

Brandon Lawless (aka Brandon Lang) is a complex, broken hero. All of the siblings were separated into the foster care system following the death of their parents but Brandon’s experiences were far more traumatic and disturbing than his much luckier brothers and sister. Carly is a woman whose marriage was destroyed by lies and betrayal, and her husband’s past has come back looking for payment and revenge- in more ways than one. Carly Hendricks has issues with low self-esteem that continues to affect our heroine throughout the story-she is a woman who believes she is not worthy of Brandon’s attention.

The relationship between Brandon and Carly is one of immediate attraction although Brandon went against his brother’s orders and revealed his family history to the woman with whom he would fall in love. Carly is a woman scorned; threatened by events of the past; and a woman who wants more from Brandon than he is willing to give. The $ex scenes are intimate and intense.

All of the Lawless siblings play secondary and supporting roles, as well as Case and Cain Taggart (McKay-Taggart Security), and one of Benedict’s former partners Bill ‘Hatch’ Hatchard-a man who all but raised the Lawless siblings once he was able to determine their foster care history. Once again, I suspect there is a story about Hatch, and his role in the entire family saga; the ‘cliff hanger’ ending reveals a twist to the story that will shock both the reader and the story line characters. We are also introduced to journalist/reporter Shelby Gates-a woman researching the truth behind Patricia Cain’s meteoric rise, and her potential connection to the death of Shelby’s older brother. Shelby and Drew’s story is next in Revenge (June 2017).

The world building continues to focus on the search for the people responsible for the destruction of the Lawless family. Andrew ‘Drew’ Lawless is a man determined to avenge the death of his parents but a surprise ‘cliff hanger’ ending will push the retribution in another direction.

SATISFACTION is a provocative and intriguing tale with an innovative twist to the story line ending. The premise is complex, exciting and intense; the characters are spirited, colorful and inspiring; the romance is dramatic and captivating. SATISFACTION is a passionate look at family, romance, betrayal and revenge.

Once again, Lexi Blake continues to deliver a sexy, tantalizing romantic suspense that will be sure to have readers begging for more of the Lawless siblings. In this second installment, Lexi picks off where she last left off in the last book and throws readers into another gauntlet of excitement, scandal, and new revelations as the Lawless siblings brings forth into light as to what really happened to their parent’s death. The hunt for revenge and justice is on and this time it is up to the elusive brother, Brandon Lawless to discover the truth and find the Satisfaction his and siblings are after for.

Brandon Lawless had one mission and objective only. Clear his father’s name. The target was marked and it is up to Brandon to persuade the enemy’s personal assistant to help him and his siblings get the justice and answers they need.

"Carly Fisher might deny it, but she wanted a man who would be a true partner, who would help her. She was alone and the man who convinced her she didn’t have to be would win her over. She would be loyal to that man, follow him wherever he went. He couldn’t be that man, but he could find a mutual satisfaction between them. He could help her. She could help him and then they would go their separate ways, better for having known each other.”

Carly Hendricks hates her job. Well, technically she hates that she works for a manipulative lady who will stop at nothing to be on top. She knows her boss is ruthless but she can’t quit because of her boss’s threat on her sister. And so when Brandon approaches Carly for help, she soon finds herself working with him and giving him the inside scoop. What was supposed to be an easy mission turns out to be a whole mess of complications especially when Brandon finds himself falling hard for Carly. Will Carly be able to help Brandon find the truth and justice that he is seeking for? Or will an unforeseen turn of events makes this revenge much harder for the Lawless siblings?

Satisfaction was a sizzling, fast paced romantic suspense that will be sure to satisfy any Lexi Blake fans as the writing was clean and engaging. With a multitude of action and unfolding of revelations, readers will be devouring this book in one sitting as Brandon Lawless will leave you hungrily satisfied with his strong sexual appeal. So if you are looking for a steamy romantic suspense that will take you on a wild ride then I would recommend you to read this series as I can’t wait to see what is in store for Drew.

Divorce is never easy, but finding out you have been duped out of pretty much everything is even worse. It crushes your faith in others. Making the attention from another a bit unbelievable. For Carly Hendricks - attracting the attention of Bran Lawless seems to be too good to be true. Things are about to get even more interesting where Bran is concerned. A plan involving Bran and his siblings is dropped in Carly’s lap, and a decision will change how things in her life proceed from that point forward.

Working for someone that is so vindictive has certainly taken a toll on Carly over the years. Just when the end is in sight, Carly’s boss pulls her back in with a little blackmail. How can this even be happening? When Bran approaches Carly with his plan, she decides that teaming up with the Lawless sibling has to be better than the predicament she is currently experiencing. So - a plan is made. Now - the question is can they pull it off?

As Bran and Carly begin to spend more time together, sparks begin to fly. Carly is thrust into a life that is made more difficult by her ex-husband. Something Bran is determined to protect her from. However - Bran’s insecurities from his own tattered past rear their ugly head. Proving that a future with Carly might not be in the cards. With danger lurking all around the couple, both find themselves in harms way. How will it all play out? Will Carly become a casualty of this long and sordid mystery. Only time will tell if the Lawless siblings will received the vengeance that they have fought so hard for.

An attraction…..a plot for revenge…and two tattered souls that are pulled together…..all of it combines within the pages of Satisfaction. This is the second installment in the Lawless series. I have been (im)patiently waiting on Brandon’s story. So - I dove into this one feet first!!

Bran and Carly are quite the couple. First being introduced in a way that would make most people run for the hills. Their romance a spark amongst a sea of corruption. As the layers to the Lawless saga began to unfold, more of Bran and Carly’s hesitations began to come to light. Each character had to learn the value of trust and strength. A roller coaster ride will unfold throughout the story. Providing more clarity into the mysteries surrounding the death of Bran’s parents. Just like the last story….I loved each and every moment!! I have no clue what to expect in Revenge….but I can’t wait to discover all of the secrets!!

I've been waiting for more Bran after reading Ruthless and this story did not disappoint me at all!

The Lawless siblings have been hell bent on seeking revenge after the untimely death of their parents. They have found Patricia Cain, another person who was responsible for their deaths. In order to get close to her they need a connection on the inside and that person is Carly Fisher. Fisher is Cain’s assistant at Cain Corp.

Carly has gotten the short end of the stick lately with her horrible boss and gambler of an ex husband. Just when she thinks everything is looking better it gets worse. Bran seeks out Carly's help and they have an immediate attraction. What I liked about them is that they both have insecurity issues. Yes,Bran has issues due to his upbringing. Out of all the Lawless siblings he's suffered the most while being in the system. He also has a “hero” and “save a damsel in distress” complex. As the story goes on you will find out what happened in his past to make him this way and you can't help but feel for him.

At first you think Carly is mousy and weak but her true colors come out. Girl has some sass on her and I loved how she was able to stand toe to toe with Drew (older brother) and how she was able to push Bran when he needed it. I loved the connection this couple had and how they both helped each other heal. Carly always felt she was “fat” and no guy would really want her and Bran showed her that was completely untrue. I loved how he adored and treated her in this book. The way he worshipped her body. Lord have mercy! Plus the best part was Carly was able to help Bran heal and it was great. No one has been able to get the light back in his eyes and she reached where no one else could. Sighs.

This story hands down was my favorite of the series. There were so many twist and turns and let's talk about that shocker of a ending.Fans of suspense will be thrilled with this series as it keeps you guessing. I, in a million, billion, trillion years DID NOT see that coming at all!!!! I had to read the last chapter over again to make sure I was reading it correctly. I can not wait to see how everything ends in Revenge.

Satisfaction is the second installment to the Lawless Family. It centers around Brandon Lawless and we learn about his experience after their parents were murdered.

I love Bran, yes he does have his issues but I think he is the soul of the family. He wants to be honest and upfront with everyone, including Carly. He has a different way of looking at the world and he knows when his brother is about to take things too far.

Patricia Cain is a special kind of evil. Where Bran is the soul of the family, Patricia has no soul. She uses everyone around her and she creates leverage so that people can't get away from her, including Carly.

Carly is working her way back into the world after a failed marriage to a criminal. She works hard for everyone else and has a great heart. Even though she is trapped in her situation, Carly knows when to help those around her. She is extremely close to her sister who convinces her to start dating again through a dating app. She is conveniently paired with Drew. This is set up completely to continue with the Lawless plan of justice in the form of revenge. Bran is sitting watching the cafe when he sees Carly. He can't let them pull her into their scheme without her knowing what is could happen to her. He knows in his heart that she will choose to help them. Carly is perfect for Bran. She hasn't had it easy and still she has a great heart.

So much happens in Satisfaction. Carly is attacked on two fronts and we get to see Bran be the hero we know he can be. We also get to see Drew learn to be more of a human. He is starting to see what revenge is doing to his family. He does have a great heart to heart scene in this book and we also learn more about who he is attracted to. Ian Taggart also made an appearance in this book. We were given a treat with his insight of what is going on with the boys or in his words "puppies".

Just like in other novels from Lexi Blake, she draws you in with emotion and humour. You fall for all her characters and she knows how to write a villain. I am excited to see what she has in store next for Drew.

I was given this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

OH MY GOD!! What did I just read? Seriously, what was that? Well...I'll tell you what it was. It was a bunch of AMAZINGNESS! Like HOLY MOLY. What a ride! Satisfaction by Lexi Blake is perfection. Bran and Carly are such genuine characters, and their journey is full of swoon-worthy moments, HOT moments, and fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants moments. I LOVE IT!

I have to start by discussing Bran because HELLO I WANT TO CUDDLE HIM AND PUT MY LIPS ALL OVER HIM AT THE SAME TIME. That takes talent. I love how respectful he is of Carly. Again, the word genuine comes to mind. He genuinely cares about her on such a deep level, and I find that irresistible. I also find it adorable that Bran blushes when Carly can't stop "kiss and telling" in front of his older brother Drew. I think I literally laughed out loud after reading this scene.

Speaking of Carly, I think she's a great heroine, and the perfect match for Bran. Lexi Blake has a way of writing heroines that are incredibly strong and resilient. The situations she puts her characters through are NOT easy. Even if I was being blackmailed in the same way Carly is, I don't know that I could have hung in there with such grace. I would have gone mad and turned into a blubbering mess. Luckily for us, Carly is the complete opposite of a hot mess. And together, Carly and Bran are lovely. They have sexy hot chemistry, which is really no surprise when it comes to a Lexi Blake book. She's know crank up the heat.

I feel I can only speak to the characters in this book because I really don't want to give anything away. Just know that there is a revelation that will probably (definitely) have your jaw dropping to floor in shock. I just about died when I read this revelation myself! It's crazy...oh-so-crazy, but in the best way possible. And now, I'm more excited for Drew's book than ever!! He needs a woman to give him a good kick in the rear, a smack over the head, and an arrow to the heart! Revenge is sure to knock my socks off!

Satisfaction by Lexi Blake definitely satisfied my craving for more Lawless men! It's another intense, action-packed romance that is sure to keep you up all night, experiencing sheer and unbelievable exhilaration!

4 Stars!

Satisfaction is sexy, sizzling and suspenseful! A great read from Lexi Blake.

Poor Carly married the wrong guy. She is now two years post divorce from her husband who stole millions of dollars from Carly's miserable boss and then pulled Carly's sister into the mess essentially trapping Carly in a job she hates for a boss she hates. She is set to meet a guy for a date she set up online. Only, another guy, Bran, shows up in his place and introduces himself as the date's brother.

A lot going there and that's in the first few pages.

I love Lexi Blake's books and this series in particular. Book one does set up the events that happen in Satisfaction, so you really do need to read the first book in the Lawless series to fully understand what is going on. However, if you can or don't want to, there is enough back story explained in Satisfaction to be able to get by.

As always, the writing is great. I love this ongoing revenge plot this series has going on and the Lawless siblings are definitely a force to be reckoned with. Bran is sexy, mouthy and alpha with a soft spot for a damsel in distress. Now, you might think that is a good thing and it is in certain situations. However, sometimes, Bran comes off as a spoiled child throwing a fit because he doesn't get his way. It annoyed me. He did redeem himself in my eyes later on, so that helped. Carly is a bit wishy-washy for my taste, but in her defense, she does have a bad track record when it comes to men and she hasn't quite learned to stand up for herself. I was sort of hoping that Bran would bring her naughty side out a little more than he did.

The sex is HOT! That is all I need to say about that.

For Lexi Blake fans, this is a must read, especially if you have read the first book in the series. For those of you who have not read Lexi Blake, you should still enjoy it as I think this series is one of her best. So, grab this book, find a quiet corner and immerse yourself in the Lawless revenge plan!

Satisfaction
By: Lexi Blake

5 Star Review by Kristie K

Lexi Blake is a true mistress of sensual, seductive, and breathtaking suspense…

Brandon Lawless and his brothers run their own business…but their primary goal is revenge. When the perfect opportunity to get close to their nemesis presents itself through the gorgeous, and innocent Carly Fisher. Unwilling to deceive her, and much to the chagrin of his older brother, Brandon puts the fate of their mission, and ultimately his heart, in her hands.

Carly Fisher works for evil incarnate. Her boss is the epitome of vicious, wicked, and corrupt…and kind hearted Carly is caught in her web. When a gorgeous, sweet, and strong hunk of a man shows up with a proposition for her, Carly has to choose between playing it safe, or standing up for what’s right. Doing the right thing has never felt so dangerous, Carly stands to lose more than just her job…her life, and her heart are in jeopardy.

Holy horde of monkey balls, this book was amazing!! Ms. Blake has always managed to find the perfect balance of hot, sexual chemistry, gut-wrenching betrayal, and mind boggling suspense…Satisfaction is no exception! From the very first word, to the very last, I was absolutely hooked. A major book hangover is being treated as we speak, but I am certain the only cure will be the next installment of the Lawless series. Brandon Lawless is the perfect blend of sweet, strong, gorgeous, and broken. I want him for my own. Carly Fisher is his perfect match, strong in her own right, but kind, sassy, and innocent. The characters were incredibly well developed, the storyline and plot flawless, and the plot twists kept me guessing and always on my toes. The Rolling Stones ain’t got nothing to complain about here…I definitely got my Satisfaction.

-Second book lives up to promise of first. The overarching storyline for the Lawless siblings and the mystery of what happened to their parents is definitely the highlight of this story. There are twists and turns that I wasn’t expecting and I love that I’m not sure how this will wrap up.

-A smiling, tortured hero. Brandon may be the easy going one of the Lawless brothers, but there’s some rage in them that hills, so to speak. When I first read about Brandon, I was expecting a certain type of character, and he certainly has those characteristics. His honor, and honesty, are great qualities. It’s the darkness in him that makes you want to cuddle him close and fix him and if that’s not a recipe for romance novel goodness, I don’t know what is.

-A damsel heroine that can save herself. Carly finds herself in danger more than once, and she certainly plays the damsel in distress well. Yes, on occasion her insecurities and disbelief in Brandon’s attraction for her were frustrating. What I really liked though, was seeing her learn to trust herself, to blossom under Brandon’s love and learning to give herself the credit she deserves.

-Supporting characters are long time faves. If you’ve never read the Masters and Mercenaries series, then some of the supporting characters will definitely intrigue you enough to read their stories. Especially Ian. God I love that man.

-A bit abrupt of a wrap-up. It felt as if the build-up regarding the mystery abruptly changed gears and some important reveals regarding one character was left offpage, which was a little disappointing. I also would have loved a little more time seeing Carly and Brandon deal with his ongoing PTSD issues, though I appreciate that it wasn’t swept aside.

The Bottom Line 4 stars
I really enjoyed Bran and Carly’s romance and definitely recommend it. The twist at the end is such a doozy, I cannot wait to read Drew’s book next.

4 stars for the second book in the Lawless series featuring baby brother Brandon. While technically this book can be read as a stand alone I highly recommend reading the first book in the series - Ruthless - so you don't miss a thing. The revenge plan is well under way and the Lawless siblings want nothing more than to prove their father's innocence. With one key player out of the way they are on to their next target with the hopes of rewriting history.
Carly Hendricks is the personal assistant to Patricia Kane of Kane Corp. While Carly loathes her boss and wants nothing more than to find a new job she is stuck for at least two more years in her current position because Patricia decided to blackmail her. So when Carly is approached by Brandon Lawless and asked to help bring her down for all her wrongdoings it doesn't take Carly too long to agree. What Carly didn't bargain for is the intense attraction to Brandon.
Brandon Lawless has always been content being the sibling that just gets by. He never wanted to be the super smart one like Drew or the charming one like Riley so he did what he had to do so his brother's stayed off his back. Watching how devastated Ellie was by all of the lies changed Bran so he decided he was going to approach Carly before Drew could lie to her. Bran didn't expect to genuinely like Carly and that changes everything in the long run.
Bran and Carly found the courage and self esteem they needed to overcome their difficult pasts and flourish as a couple. Only Lexi Blake can write a love story where watching them fall in love is endearing, but smoking hot too. This story just keeps heating up and with the crazy twist at the end you are gonna be chomping at the bit for Drew & Shelby's story next.

Lexi Blake manages to amaze me almost every time!  I'm a huge fan of everything Masters and Mercenaries and I love how the Lawless series fits in with the McKay - Taggart family.  Lexi has built a fantastic world where everyone co-exists but their stories are their own.  It's a place I'd love to live!  This is the second book in the Lawless series and yes you need to read them in order.
Brandon "Bran" Lawless is the third of the four Lawless siblings.   Bran's brother, Drew, is going to try to maneuver his way into into the life of Carly Hendricks in the next phase of the plan to get revenge on the people who killed their parents.  Carly is the personal assistant of Patricia Cain, who is one of the people they are after.  Bran decides on the fly to talk to Carly before Drew does because he doesn't want her to be used the way Drew is planning.  Carly decides to help the Lawless siblings because she has her own reasons for taking down Patricia.  The two of them decide to make their "relationship" as real as possible.  Since Bran was the one sibling that spent the most time in foster care after their parents died, he has a lot of anger and self-loathing to deal with when it comes to all relationships he is in.  When Carly is truly in danger, Bran has to step up and protect her, but also decide whether he can truly be with her.
I love these characters; how they interact, their depth and their natural maturing throughout the story.  Even my favorite snarky character, Ian Taggart, has kept his fantastic sarcastic attitude but I love how he is now the "love guru".  I will say, without giving anything away, that this book has a whopper of a twist at the end and I'm looking forward to Drew's story next!

I loved Ruthless and the characters came out sounding and acting real. But in this book, Satisfaction (also kind of a strange title???), Brandon and Carly especially came off as cardboard cutouts. Bran would be saying or thinking something and it just sounded flat - so I'd look back as if I'd missed something - and then look forward to see where it was going. Many times it wasn't going anywhere. There was conflict but if Carly had a problem she would do her self-talk and then solve it in her head - quickly. Then the sex scenes took on some of the flavor of the Masters & whatever series - which is totally puked over. I read one page of one I ordered from the store and contacted the store and begged them to take it back. Mainly because it was so BO-RING. Just like the dialogue in this book. The Taggarts were the only ones who had anything intelligent to say. And Shelby. I liked her. Wonder what the author will do with her character - probably cardboard again. Sad to see this. I read - most of it. Especially toward the end, it was so repetitive and nonsensical, some things could have been summarized in a clear paragraph or two went on for pages. The sex was just sex, too - did not feel romantic at all. Just parts. Too bad - you had a good thing going with Ruthless. Riley and Ellie and all the other characters were completely realistic.

In Satisfaction (Lawless #2) the Lawless siblings are back and trying to unravel the plot that, twenty years ago, had their parents killed and left the kids struggling to survive. Brandon Lawless is the youngest brother and he steps in with a plan to get Carly (assistant to the ruthless TV personality Patricia Cain) to betray her boss. Carly has a mountain of problems due to her con-man ex and her boss and when Brandon offers her honesty and a way out of her predicament she can't resist.

Satisfaction has all the elements that Lexi Blake fans have come to love in her books. There is well crafted suspense and action. The murders of the Lawless' parents is a complicated web and Blake doles out the hints and clues throughout the book. Lexi has a deft hand with the intrigue in her stories and this is no exception. Her characters are well developed people with large personalities, deeply flawed and yet somehow relatable. Blake's humor is liberally scattered throughout the story as her characters interactions rarely go smoothly and the always welcome cameos by Big Tag (and people's reactions to him) lighten the sometimes heavy emotions. Brandon Lawless, in an attempt to show his worth, reveals a deeply troubled man who can't see in himself what others see. Carly is the self-sacrificing big sister who is doing all she can to keep her sister safe and make up for her past mistakes.

The plot takes a HUGE twist as the Lawless clan gets closer to the truth of what happened to their family. Someone orchestrated the tragedy that altered the lives of these people and you will be shocked at the turn of events that end this part of the story. Bravo Lexi and bring on Andrew.

Oh Bran, Bran, Bran... My sometimes defensive, often rabid, but always perfectly lovable puppy. I knew going into this book he would end up breaking my heart, and I wasn't disappointed. I loved how from the beginning, the direction this book took was so different from its predecessor. While I appreciated the way the game was played the first time, for these two characters to reach the destination they did it was done with utter perfection. I appreciated the slow build because it made me grasp on to each morsel that much harder. I was left desperate and breathless with each subsequent scene.

Even though this was a love a love story to its core, the mystery and intrigue was still on the forefront. I loved how we got to see some different sides to characters introduced in the first book. It made me want to carve out a chunk of time to read Blake's Masters and Mercenaries series where we first meet the Taggarts. I've been dying to delve into them since reading Ruthless months ago and I'm vowing now to make it a priority.

I love how perfectly Blake describes each character and aspect in her stories. I felt like I was transported into their world and though I was often scared for their lives, I relished in every single moment that passed. I had a thought going into this book that I eagerly anticipated to see if it would come to fruition, and even though I'm devastated it did, I can't wait to see how this curveball plays out in Drew's book. The man, rightfully so, is out for blood and I can't wait to see it all crash and burn and finally get some closure for these characters I've come to love. It's going to be a long few months...

Satisfaction is the second book in the Lawless series. The first, Ruthless, introduced us more in depth to the siblings who appeared in the Masters & Mercenaries series. From the first moment I met the Lawless siblings I was intrigued. Not only was I interested in them as characters, but in the mystery and danger surrounding their parents' death. In the first book we saw Riley attempting to use Ellie as a means to finding more information, but he never made it. He realized that his love for her was much greater than his willingness to use her.

Brandon was a sibling I was intrigued about, mostly because he seemed to be so different from the rest. I knew he had some issues and I was excited to delve into them. Unfortunately, for me, it seemed those issues weren't fully explore. Yes, we were told why, but I wanted more. Carly herself seemed very insecure and it never seemed like she got past her fears. She was constantly doubting Brandon's feelings for her. I completely understand feeling insecure, but being insecure seemed to be the focus. For her as well, it seemed that she (and Brandon) never fully discussed her issues. There was also a situation where Carly needed some money and in the midst of this insecurity and doubt, she accepted quite a sum from Brandon. I, personally, didn't care for that.

Overall I've been enjoying the story. There's no question that there is intrigue and suspense at every turn. The end of this book ... well, let's just say you'll be dying for the next one to release. Although I couldn't jump on board entirely with the characters, I'm still following the story and I CANNOT WAIT for the next one!

Rating: 4.5 stars.

Lexi Blake is talented and creates interesting stories. I enjoyed Satisfaction even more than Ruthless. Brandon and Carly are complex and so likeable. They both suffer insecurities that make them very relatable. They’re damaged though and, in a very realistic way, it takes time to work through their problems. The sexual attraction is much less complicated though not without challenges.

Carly works for a nasty piece of work who is blackmailing and using her. Bran is caught up in the family revenge plot to take down their parents’ killers. Working together toward their common goal makes it easy to become allies. Making a relationship work takes far more effort, especially when everything in their lives makes it nearly impossible for them to trust.

Bran has some pretty intense baggage. He’s not only got a lot to work through, he’s not at all open to looking into his past. It was hard to imagine how the strip club loving drunk would become boyfriend material but Blake makes Bran’s motivations believable and not the insurmountable impediment to a functional relationship that I thought they were going to be.

The book was a roller coaster ride both for the suspense and the romance. The answers provided were unforeseeable and unexpected and left me with the need to finish the series to get resolution.

I really enjoyed the initial glimpses into Drew and Shelby’s interactions. It’s going to be great fun watching these two get together in Revenge.

Satisfaction (Lawless #2), Lexi Blake

I am a HUGE fan of this series, but I have to say, Satisfaction was a bit hard for me to get into at first. There are so many details in this book that you really need to pay attention. If you are in a mindset for a fun, light hearted book, this is NOT the book for you. If you are wanting a mystery of sorts with one hot love story intertwined, this entire series is for you!

You saw that I mentioned a hot love story…. It would not be a Lexi Blake book without a hot, steamy couple. In Satisfaction we get Brandon Lawless’ story with Carly Hendricks. These two are such opposites. It was fun to read how they navigate through their relationship.

I will tell you, once I was about half through Satisfaction, I was sucked in. Lexi did not fail me!!! I am so excited to read Drew Lawless story in Revenge! He has been such an interesting character throughout this entire series.

Thank you Netgalley for allowing me to read and review Satisfaction. In the end, I loved it.

A fantastic second story for the series. That is what I just read by Lexi Blake.

I loved the base plot for this story, and all the secondary characters and tie in to the Masters and Mercenaries series. While I haven't read that series yet, I certainly plan to after now getting my second taste of this author's work.

But in this story we have the youngest Lawless brother Bran. He has always felt like the family screw up and unworthy. This of course immediately tugged at my heartstrings, especially when paired with his fun and charismatic personality. When he meets Carly, he's interested in her for more than what she can contribute to the family revenge plan. And while they go about executing the plan, they also have major chemistry and attraction to contend with.

I enjoyed working through the layers of Bran. There were so many aspects of him to love, and then he had this dark side that I wanted to get to the bottom of. Carly was sweet and kind of innocent and was getting a rough deal in life. Meeting each other changed them both and I felt reading about that change was a great experience.

This is not a standalone book in my opinion. It should be read after Ruthless for the best experience. But they're both worth the read. I can't wait to get Drew's story next.

Satisfaction, the incredible second installment in Lexi Blake's new series completely won me over from beginning to end! Full of eye-popping suspense, scorching romance, and a plot to DIE FOR, I was completely enamored with this story and loved every single second of Brandon and Carly's romance! Lexi Blake writes pure perfection. Her characters are always fascinating and her heroes well worth the wait while the heroines are smart, sassy, curvy and will have you wishing they were your best friend.

I can't seem to stop bragging about this new series! I freaking love how intensely passionate the romance is and how the suspense will leave you on the edge. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I am in AWE! I was so excited when I got this book, I literally did a "happy dance" and yet I didn't think it could top Ruthless, yet I shouldn't of doubted Miss Blake. Not only did Satisfaction top Ruthless, I instantly started to reread the moment I finished. That rarely happens for me unless the story is THAT good, and Satisfaction was MORE than THAT good!

This gets a SATISFYINGLY SMOLDERING FIVE SHOOTING STARS! Its breathtaking, its smooth, its full of surprises and plenty of action to keep your heart rate soaring, its one helluva great read and one of the BEST of the New Year!

Four Great Stars! Brandon was placed in the foster care system after his parents died and had a very difficult time growing up. Brandon's goal was to seek justice for his parents death so this gave him the strength he needed to go on. Carly is the personal assistant to Patricia and when Brandon sees her he realizes that he is attracted to her. When Brandon sees that Carly is in danger he knows that he must fight to get her back. Will Carly be the one to make a difference in Brendan's life and show him how to love again? Ms Blake writes a book full of romance, suspense, mystery and heartbreak that kept me on the edge of my seat throughout. The author writes a book that is well written and full of great characters! Brandon and Carly were great characters, they both were insecure, hopeless and the chemistry they share it was hot! Satisfaction is the second book in The Lawless Series and I look forward to reading more books in this series. I recommend it!

Satisfaction is the second installment of Lawless series by Lexi Blake.

Brandon Lawson is determined to clear his father’s name to the point he’ll do anything and everything it takes. Or at least that was his plan, until he went head to head with Carly Hendricks. His enemy’s personal assistance. Now the tables are turned and Brandon doesn’t want to deceive her, but to win her over.

However, that seems to be proven difficult when the stakes are between clearing his father’s name or saving Carly’s life.

Will love conquer all or will he let it fall?

Satisfaction has everything a reader would want. Brandon and Carly have great chemistry between each other. Not only that, but the banter and seeing previous characters popping in was great! Lexi Blake once again created a wonderful story with action, romance and determination. These Lawless brother’s are dealing with dangerous stakes and Brandon must choose between freeing his father or the person who stole his heart. I can’t wait to read Drew’s story!!

I highly recommend the Lawless series!

I was looking forward to reading this book. Satisfaction is full of suspense with a few plot twists. It was engaging from the very beginning though the pace did slow down quite a bit once you hit the 50% mark. Bran is really troubled in this book. He’s been through a lot in his past and it shows in his actions how great that affected him. I loved how loyal he was to Carly even when he was second guessing things between them at times. That being said I’m not sure how I really feel about Carly. She’s a bit of a pushover even though at times she seems to have more of a backbone. I just didn’t connect with her very much. I did like how she did whatever she could to protect her sister and how she supported Bran even when she had every right to walk away. Overall, I thought this was an entertaining read and after the twist at the end I look forward to reading the next book in the series.

Absolutely loved this second book in the series. Bran and Carly are two fantastic characters. Bran is so complex because of his past which is directly related to what the family is currently working to figure out. We see Carly as weak in the beginning and needing help, but she toughens up as we move forward and she becomes a fighter. Not only for Bran but for the family as well.

Lexi Blake has a wonderful mind and is one of the few authors that can throw me for a loop and get me crying. She's done both with this book. I am also LOVING that Taggart & McKay make an appearance as Masters & Mercenaries is my favorite series. I am looking forward to reading the third and final book in this series. On to REVENGE!!

Ruthless was so exciting, I immediately purchased the presale of Satisfaction. I really wanted to like this story/ characters. It was nothing like the first book in the series. In fact, Carly drove me crazy. She was so pathetic. She complained about Bran keeping secrets, yet she kept secrets from the man she loved, his family, her sister and her friend. Hypocrite. I ended up skimming through the last four chapters. I was so bored. Bran was just miserable. His reason for it understood, but if we weren't hearing about his miserable existence, we were hearing about Carly's. We didn't find out what Bran's issues were until the end of the book. Drew was the same. I liked that constant. I also liked Shelby. I think, hope Revenge is better. I did guess the villain probably by chapter 17. It was a nice twist.

Lexi Blake is continuing her Lawless series with the youngest brother Brandon who has a dark past from his days in foster care. Brandon decided to help take down the next family enemy by having to get close to her assistant Carly Hendricks. Carly starts to care deeply for Brandon, yet was still leary of him and his goals. Great unveiling of plot twist that kept the story moving, loved seeing Brandon and Carly fall in love. Can't wait for the next in the series.

Just wow. I think Bran is my favorite, definitely my favorite. Bran is such a troubled soul. A tragic upbringing makes you want to hug him. You feel his pain. Carly, is a hidden gem of a woman. This is such an amazing series from Lexi Blake!

WOW!!! Lexi Blake gave us another thrilling ride in Satisfaction…Book 2 in the Lawless Series.

This book was filled with intrigue, suspense, mystery, lies, betrayal and even romance. We can’t forget those kindle melting moments either. Lexi sure does know how to turn on the heat ;)

As with Ruthless….Book 1 in the Lawless Series, I can’t say much about this storyline. You need to see this story unfold for yourself. This story will keep you on the edge of your seat the whole way through. I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. This is turning into one of my favorite series out there. I love all the mystery and suspense she gives us. There is something new at every turn. You never see her twists coming.

I want to say that this book is a standalone, but I honestly can’t say that. Yes this book follows a different couple….Brandon and Carly, but it is a continuing story from Book 1. I honestly believe that if you don’t read these books in order that you will be lost. Also these need to be read in order because she gives us a peek into the next book…Revenge, and you will need to have read Satisfaction to understand where the third book is going.

I will say I am extremely excited to see where she takes this third book. I think Drew’s story is going to be interesting ;)

I loved getting to know Brandon more in this book. He is such a broken sole who doesn’t believe he deserves to be loved. His backstory was heart wrenching. He has so much guilt!! I am glad he met Carly. I thought she was a great match for him. They did have there bumpy road, but they were able to weather the storm and they came out better in the end.

I also liked getting to know the Taggert brothers better in this book. I liked that we got to see more of Mia and Case and we got to know Ian Taggert better. I would’ve liked to see Ellie and Riley a little more, but I am hoping we see all of them in the third book because of what the storyline will be based off of.

If you are a fan of Lexi Blake’s or love a good suspenseful romance story, then this is the series to read. There are so many webs weaved you can’t help but get tangles all up in them.
