Holy Hell do I have a new favorite Mistress/heroine/Professor Queen to add to my list of outstanding female characters. Dayita Samar is one heck of a woman and the complexity of her character is due to the control and dominance she yields as well as her ability to know her worth and demand an equal place in the eyes of men who try to control her…who try to bring her to her knees in a servile role – one that she adamantly refuses to play no matter the rank or status of those who look to demean her.
Everything about Day worked for me! She reads people so well and knows exactly what Kash needs, even if he’s unwilling to admit to it. Day gives a voice to the women of her country, and she empowers them to speak for themselves, using both her intelligence and her stellar personality to evoke change in a kingdom that is very set in its ways when it comes to the monarchy and its role with the people. It doesn’t matter that she’s a commoner…it doesn’t matter that she’s into dominatrix…what matters is that she’s the woman who can save Kash from himself…the woman who can give him stability and force him to accept who he is and what he needs to deal with the pressure of his duties as King.
Kashmir Kamdar definitely has a playboy reputation and a past filled with weak women who have graced his bed but nothing else. Because Kash shares a history with Day, the arranged marriage his mother has forced on him doesn’t sound quite as bad as it did before he knew, but 15 years is a long separation and the man and woman Kash and Day are now is nothing like they were at Oxford, and due to Kash’s dalliances for the past five years, it’s difficult to say whether this forced relationship will be what turns Kash’s life and role in his kingdom around or if it sends him spiraling even further because a King is not supposed to want/need to submit to anyone, let alone a woman when he has a country to command.
Despite the fact that Kash and Dayita's story is a novella, the points of contention that they must confront are numerous and complex. Kash has turned into a ruler who does not hold much creditability with his people and because of his insecurities and his self-imposed failures, he’s unable to see with clarity what Day is offering him as her lowly servant in their bedroom but nowhere else. And, the struggle to get Kash to see his desires as anything but perverse is not something that will happen quickly because he’s ingrained who he’s supposed to be according to his deceased father’s dictates and he can’t get passed who he should be even if it’s not exactly who he is or who he wants to be.
Arranged is a fantastic addition to Lexi Blake’s Masters and Mercenaries series, and it’s a story with the perfect mix of conflict, a bit of suspense, steamy submission, and a bada** heroine who knows exactly how to please her King!
4.5 Poison Apple

Witty, steamy and entertaining !
Loha Mori Morambo (my very spicy and imaginary dish) recipe :
-take one ounce of Playboy prince turned womanizer King with huge manparts (yes this is important);
-add equal parts of a very smart and leading future bride. She has a kinky side but it’s hidden behind that brilliant mind of her;
-add some badass friends extract, special close protection flavor;
-end with a pinch of suspense and catty old girlfriends;
Knead everything together. Be a little rough and whip it some if it does not bend to your will.
Let it rest for some hours under the warm climate of this sunny island. Put it in the very hot oven.
When the kitchen is filled with steam and you need to change your underwear it’s ready!
Seriously now I got this ARC in exchange for an honest review and I can honestly say it’s been a very good surprise.
I went in blind as I had never read a Lexi Blake story. I just read the blurb and wanted to read about this womanizer king forced in arranged marriage. I suspected some good banter would come of it.
It’s been so much more than what I expected. I won’t say more than what’s in the blurb but if you’ve read other Lexi Blake’s books you won’t be surprised by the special hotness factor.
I also really loved that Mrs Blake puts steam and kink in her book without making this the main topic of her book. The story and characters did not take a backseat to sex what I’m really grateful for.
You have plot (some twists in the story), the characters have depth and question who they really are, who they should be and who they want to be. Other characters of her stories make for very interesting sidekicks. It’s always pleasant to read about hot bodyguards and their spunky female counterparts.
Kash is like a beautiful wild animal. Deeply physical but unsatisfied with his life. He is unquestionably eye candy but the real star was Day. I loved her strength and her poise. She knows what she wants and is not ashamed to be who she is. Her mind is so attractive and sharp you can’t help but admire the girl! She knew what was best for Kash even if Kash did not want to admit it.
So post “ a do not disturb” sign on your door and get ready to be entertained and titillated by these fascinating characters!

This book was a total departure for the author, and while I struggled with it at first, ultimately Lexi Blake pulled it off.
This is the story of Kash, now King of Loa Mali, and his queen, Dayita. Kash was in love with Dayita in college, but left her when his father and brother were killed in a car accident, leaving him as king of his small island nation. Known as a playboy around the world he seemed to have forgotten Day. But when his mother blackmailed him into marriage, she gave Dayita back to him. But the years in between have changed both of them almost beyond recognition. Day tries to ease Kash into the knowledge that she is known is some circles as Mistress Day, and that as her sub, Kash would be able to find peace in her care. But can Kash come to terms with serving as a bottom to a strong woman and can their love rekindle under the circumstances?
The book finally quit being uncomfortable when Ian Taggart appeared on the scene. The quote of the day: “ As for me, give me a badass chick every day of the week. You say you're looking for a helpmate? Badass chick will not only cook your breakfast, she'll take care of the assassins trying to kill you, give you the best blow job of your life and scare off all the people you don't want around. You can keep your delicate chicks. Give me a Russian mob princess. There's a class of women who know how to treat a man right. Conversely, they also know ho to cut a man's balls off if you don't hold up your end of the bargain.” I love Big Tag.
Although the central theme of the book is the BDSM lifestyle, the actual play shown is limited and relatively light.
At first, I was uneasy both with the Femdomme aspect of the book, but also with the Royal family aspect. Most of the author's books deal with people who create their own family-in this case the family is the entire nation, which is very impersonal. But with astute storytelling, lovable characters, and a light touch, the author makes this a good read. I'm still never going to rush out and read books where the woman is in charge, but I was able to finish this story on a good note.

Finding a friendship that means the world to you is certainly hard to find at times. For Day and Kash, their friendship led to an attraction that was hard to ignore. However - duty called for Kash and whatever had started to cross that line between friendship and something more ended with a tragedy. Now Kash is fulfilling a destiny that he never thought would happen. One filled with the pomp and circumstance that comes along with the throne.
Determined not to be like his father, Kash holds his crown slightly tilted. Diving into every open bed that he comes to. Living life like a playboy instead of the King of Loa Mali. What the playboy could not have predicted was a loophole in succession of Kash’s dynasty. One that his mother demanded Kash pay attention to. Now the handsome playboy is faced with an arranged marriage courtesy of his mother’s bidding.
Day has dedicated her life to helping the community that she once grew up in. Her years of education a stepping stone to the role she now leads. Nothing could have prepared Day for her meeting with Kash’s mother. A role that Day accepts after thinking over how she can be an asset to her country. Determined to make things as painless as possible with the arranged marriage, Day offers to let Kash continue with his sordid ways.
Neither could have predicted the way their lives were about to change. The risk of sitting on the throne becoming more dangerous by the day. After an impromptu weekend, the royal couple relaxes a bit more than one would expect. Kash discovers that his new bride has a secret side that he never knew existed. The only question is …what role can this possibly play in their royal marriage?
Kash and Day’s relationship is unlike any you will read. Day is certainly NOT the girl next door. Her strength was a refreshing change of pace. As a queen, she always seemed willing to do whatever was necessary to make life easier for Kash. What I loved most was the ‘little’ secret that seemed to have such an impact on Kash. A true role reversal that of what you would expect in a couple.
As always, Lexi Blake writes an amazing story that is unpredictable and engaging. Nothing about Kash or Day’s romance was expected. Giving it an extra dose of likeability.

Ever since Kash was first loosely introduced back in Love and Let Die, I've been curious. He never had a solid presence in the M&M series, but when I saw that he'll be getting his own book, I was intrigued. The playboy king in an arranged marriage? Sign me up for that!
"I’m the first in a hundred years to be arranged by someone else. I suppose my mother thinks I’m incapable of selecting a proper bride.”
I couldn't wait to see the woman that will bring this womanizer to his knees, and boy did she!
Day and Kash were once friends that could have been something much more, but life had other plans for them. They're two very different people but life has brought them back together in much more interesting circumstance because Day is the woman Kash's mother picked to be his bride and future queen of Loa Mali. While Day has dedicated her life's work to serving the people of Loa Mali, she's also as far from the traditional bride as a woman can get and not just because she refuses to sit back and be the little woman. She's a woman with a core of strength and she's not afraid to say what she wants or even demand it.
I have to say, part of the reason I enjoyed this book so much was Day. I loved the way she put Kash in his place and I also loved the way she was his strength and support system. Kush hides a lot of depth behind his easy smile and playboy ways, and also a secret that's so deep even he's afraid to admit it to himself.
This book was very different from any of the others in the series or anything I've read from Lexi to date but it was also a refreshing change of pace. While this particular set up is not my usual go to, I certainly enjoyed it. Day and Kash were great together, even though Kash's insecurities and the way he took them out on Day at times made me want to either throttle or kick him in the nether regions.
While this is #13.5 in the series, you can easily enjoy this as a standalone. However, you'll appreciate all the cameos a lot more if you read the series in order.

Arranged is a novella and the thirteen point five installment of the Masters and Mercenaries series by Lexi Blake. Again, this is a novella.
I have been greatly obsessed with the Masters and Mercenaries series since my wonderful friend, Hunt got me addicted… I mean introduced. Haha. Lexi has always managed to captivate me and Arranged is no different. If you haven’t read any of the Master and Mercenaries, I would say that you can read Arranged without missing a lot of information. This is a great book to casually see if you’d like to read more of this splendid series.
Now, lets get to the good stuff! Kash has been the ultimate playboy, but when he’s forced into an arranged marriage this he’s not too pleased. Especially when it’s only to maintain the crown instead of marrying for the right reasons. But when he learns that Day is his potential wife, Kash can’t help, but think about what happened 15 years ago when these two were thick as thief. Even now, Kash doesn’t believe there’s anything Day could possibly say that would surprise him, but you know what they say. Never assume, because Day just revealed that she’s a domme and she’s not backing down.
Will this King be willing to keel for his Queen or will their marriage be doomed before they even get to the ‘I do’s’?
Arranged is a great short read and I enjoyed it too a point. For me personally, I didn’t really enjoy the concept of a switched BDSM roles; where the female was the domme and the guy was the submissive. Now, don’t get me wrong. I love to see a woman in charge, but for this particular book, I would have liked to see it as a full length novel. However, even as a short story, I felt that Lexi Blake did a wonderful job weaving the romance and suspense throughout the novella. Don’t knock it, until you try it.

Hot, sexy, and steamy!!!! What more can a reader ask for when you want a quick erotic romantic story? Right!! Lexi Blake turns up the heat as she delivers a fast paced and emotional novella in the Arranged. She has readers like me devouring this book so fast because the heroine stole the spotlight in my opinion.
Dayita Samar was the crowning jewel in Arranged. She kept readers engaged with her sweet and yet strong personality. She didn’t back down with the playboy King as she knew how to keep Kash Kamdar in check. When the Queen informs her son Kash that he is to be in arranged marriage, little did he know that it would be his former shy friend, Day.
Day is no longer that girl Kash remembered fifteen years ago. Instead, she has grown into a beautiful, sexy, intelligent and strong woman. As Kash and Day agreed to the terms of their arranged marriage, Kash will also uncover a new sexual side in Day. As these two explore their sexual compatibility, will they also find themselves falling in love as well?
"Let me tell you what I can offer you. I can offer you the touch of my hands on your flesh, skimming every inch of your body. I can offer the heat of my mouth, my lips and tongue exploring you, tasting your essence. I won’t stop quickly because you’re complex. I’ll have to taste you everywhere, nipping and licking and sucking until I know you by heart.”
Lexi Blake is no stranger to sexy, steamy erotic romance that packs a punch and Arranged was simply that. This book had that different vibe from the previous books of the series but I found the story of Kash and Day refreshing. Overall, this book was well written and entertaining. So if you are looking for a quick read to spicen up your day, then this book is definitely for you.

Kashmir is the spare turned heir. Prior to becoming King
he lived pretty much a carefree and unrestricted lifestyle. Once he ascends to the throne everything is changed and he has a hard time adjusting. He uses various women as a mean to an outlet. As the story progresses you see how his upbringing truly affected him. Kashmir has never felt he was good enough his whole life. A lot of secrets get revealed and you can see why he acted the way he did. My heart broke for him because I couldn't imagine being made to feel like you aren't good enough just because you are second born. Kashmir also carried a lot of guilt on his shoulders for various reasons. I swear in this story he couldn't get a break it seemed. Like how much can one person take before they break?!
Dayita has a past history with Kashmir and is the only one who can bring him to his knees. I loved Dayita! She was headstrong, assertive and determined. Dayita knew when to be assertive and when to let Kashmir lead and be the man he needed to be. Dayita also has a secret side to her that no one really expected. Like the old saying goes, don't judge a book by its cover.
This was my first time reading any book in this series and I was pleasantly surprised. I liked the story a lot and it had a little bit of everything. The sex scenes between Kashmir and Dayita were off the charts hot!! Kashmir and Dayita had good chemistry outside of the bedroom. Their chemistry, the push and pull. Several times I wasn't sure how their story was going end and I was holding my breath. This story really did keep me on the edge of my seat while reading.

Title: Arranged
Author: Lexi Blake
5 amazing stars
Arranged was a completely different from all the other Master and Mercenary series from Lexi Blake. Taking the friends to lovers aspect and delving deeper in it as we meet Kash, a prince, and Dayita, the woman that is to marry him and make him realize that he can't skirt his responsibilities any longer. I don't think i was fully prepared for the many twists that this novella took, that being completely different from the other books i've read from Lexi Blake in this series, which i can't and won't be complaining about because the renowned playboy is finally meeting his match in his childhood friend in so many ways that you can't help but keep reading in curiosity.
4 breath taking dreams
Compared to many of the previous novels, Arranged was a bit more 'tamed' concentrating more on the relationship rather than the scenes that we've often come to read throughout not only Lexi Blake's novels, but those part of the 1001 Dark nights series. I was captivated by this story, by the characters that i hadn't had a chance to really get to know before and even to get a glimpse of those that i had the chance to get to know and fall in love with from the previous instalments. I loved how Lexi Blake made these two (Kash and Dayita) come to life and made them breathe in ways i never could have expected. I can't wait to find out what Lexi Blake will be doing with her series in the future and will be looking forward to finding out.

Looking for a quick and sexy escape from reality? Look no further, because Lexi Blake has the novella for you. ARRANGED is a Masters & Mercenaries novella that had me hooked from the very beginning. I didn’t know what to expect, and yet, I wasn’t surprised at all with how much I LOVED Kash and Dayita’s complicated love story. It’s emotional. It’s rich. It’s complex, despite the page length, and I was a complete goner from the very start.
“Right now you think I’m nothing more than another pretty female body, but you’ll learn I’m going to be more.”
Oh my! Dayita Samar was my hero in this story. Kash drove me absolutely batty, but Dayita leveled the playing field a bit. ARRANGED is a second-chance chance, friends-to-lovers/friends-to-husband and wife romance. I know it seems complicated, but it’s really not. It’s SEXY! It’s PROVOCATIVE! It’s a heart-pounding good time! The Masters & Mercenaries series is and will always be one of my all time favorite series. I know I say this every time, but it bares repeating. This series, these characters, Ms. Blake’s writing takes me away to another place and gives me such joy with every single turn of the page. You can’t help but to get completely LOST in her words.
“She would bless him with her body and he would worship her forever.”
Kash and Dayita’s story, although a hard-fought one, is the perfect story to sink your teeth into. It’s the perfect romance that will become the driver to a new addiction. If you haven’t discovered Ms. Blake’s incredible talent, what are you waiting for? Dive in and don’t look back!

I will completely honest here. I was very surprised to find out that the book was only 125 pages long because it felt way longer. The energy I spent reading the book was greater than the one I have spent reading novels with 400 pages.
For me, this novella is not so much so much about the romance between Day and Kash as it is about Kash realizing who he truly is and what he wants. He was in denial for far too long if you ask me. That caused a lot of tension between him and Day. In the end, he was able to accept the truth and I ended up smiling in the last two chapters. This is why, after finishing the book, I can't say that it was a bad book, just a little tiring.
Since Arranged is a book in the masters and mercenaries series , it falls under the BDSM and suspense categories. Someone is trying to kill the king and our beloved characters are trying to find out who he is before he accomplishes his mission. I am fairly new to the series, but I still love them all. Ian is my favorite. On the BDSM part of the book, I was surprised to see that Day is a Domme. I am not used to females being the top, but I liked this story.

I enjoyed this book. It's a little different from your normal BDSM themed Billionaire books and I think that made it interesting. The story was well written, characters strong and scenes hot. Although BDSM themed actual activities are very limited don't expect hardcore. I loved the main female character, Day, she was both strong and intelligent, so different from many female main characters in romance novels.
Kash and Day met at Oxford University and formed a strong friendship, aided by there shared Island nationality, but tragedy at home sees Kash leave suddenly and Day doesn't hear from him again. Moving forward 15 years, Kash is now a manwhoring king. His mother has offered an ultimatum, settle down in an arranged marriage or loose the crown. Kash is ready to fight his mother's proposal until her selected bride walks in, Day.

Arranged by Lexi Blake is part of her Masters and Mercenaries series. I have only read one of book in this series but I didn't feel as though I was missing anything. I believe each book can be considered a standalone with different couples featured in each book.
Being that this book is a short novella, I don't want to give to much away. The book description is an excellent overview of this story. I think my main issue with this story was with Kash himself. I personally found him to be a difficult character to like. I thought he was a brat and a hypocrite. He redeemed himself a little towards the end, but not enough for me to be a big King Kash fan.

This was my first Lexi Blake book but I'm so ready to dive head first into her Masters & Mercenaries world! I loved the story of Kashmir and Dayita and I really enjoyed the "twist" - though it might not actually be a twist and more just the first time I've read a BDSM themed book with this particular dynamic. There were elements of romantic suspense and a second chance romance, all wrapped up in a BSDSM package with a royal slant - so there was really something for all romance lovers. I'm excited to start from the beginning and read more of her work!

Lexi Blake's Masters and Mercenaries has given us some really memorable characters. Kash has been the series slut. Now that his mom has set up an arranged marriage for him, he is resigned to follow through. Day, however, is nothing like he expects! I adored her! She is witty, tough, and sexy and totally keeps Kash on his toes. There were times I was super frustrated with Kash's actions but thankfully Day knows just how to handle him and get him to fall back into line! If you haven't read the previous books you can still read this one but some of the 'cameos' won't make sense to you!

This is a quick, sexy novella that packs an emotional punch as well. So much was packed into this novella. I don't want to give anything away, but there were definitely some surprises.
I was actually pleasantly surprised by Kash getting a main role. He did not let me down though. Day is a really interesting character and I like that she is strong and independent.
Overall I thought this story was a great escape and I really enjoyed it. It was a great read and I can't wait to see what Lexi comes up with next.

This novella wasn't one I was expecting and normally isn't one I would go for because I prefer a male Dom instead of a Domme, but Lexi Blake has a way of making me enjoy things I wasn't expecting. Kash and Day had a dynamic that worked for them. Day was a new character and I really liked her. She was strong without being masculine or overpowering. Kash needed her and was able to truly grow and get past his guilt with her help. This story was a quick read and one I enjoyed more than I was anticipating.

Are you ready for something a little different?
I love Lexi's Masters and Mercenaries series and I have read all the books.
I love that she is bold enough to take the leap to show this relationship from a bit of a different perspective!
I love a strong Hero and Heroin and this book gives you both.
They have to fight to be together and I loved watching them both struggle with their true wants and needs.
Another great addition to the series!

When Kash is excited for something the man becomes an eager beaver:
"I was talking about sex, Kashmir. I thought we could use this time to see if we’re sexually compatible.”
He popped up out of his chair like an eager puppy. “Yes. I think that is a brilliant idea. We should start now. Don’t worry. I intend to be gentle with you.”
I loved this book, Day wasn't afraid to admit what she needed, and Kash would do amything for her.

Lexi Blake once again proves why she is my favorite author with this Masters and Mercenaries Series novella. Well structured storylines with interesting characters make for such entertaining reading. Kash is a familiar face from previous books. He is gorgeous, rich and a player. Dayita is strong, vital and brilliant. Outside forces bring them together in an arranged marriage but, in truth, they've loved each other for 15 years. Now they just have to fall in love with each other and learn to accept who the are in this royal relationship.

A modern day Cinderella Story...the King...the commoner and a little BDSM thrown in to spice things up. The plot is sweetly interwoven with a teenage fantasy...growon into an adult relationship to save a nation and make a dying mother happy. Kash and Dayita are a great couple with a lot of things to overcome her dominance and his submission and a countries old fashioned values. Great secondary characters and a story written with a sense of humor make this one worth reading.

'Arranged,' is A Masters and Mercenaries novella, that delves into whom King Kashmir Kamdar truly is. This intimate look reveals a side to this playful, playboy King. A side that only Dayita Samar has ever been able to call forth. It was a great read, that also gives us an short update on our past-favorite characters form Sanctum.

Please RateArranged: A Masters and Mercenaries Novella
Once upon a time, Kash was the spare to the throne of Loa Mali, free to live his life as he choose and pursue his interests, which led him to college in England and Dayita Samar, a fellow native. But the death of his father and brother meant giving up everything including his budding relationship with Day, to step into a role he was ill-prepared for. Now he's being compelled to marry and his chosen bride is none other than the woman he lost before he even had a chance with.
Day has become accomplished in her own right and is willing to accept marriage to Kash to further her own goals, but there is no reason why they can't enjoy their marriage, even if theirs is not a love match. But Day's secrets are almost too much for Kash to bear, so where does that leave their young marriage and can they salvage anything from this situation?
I probably would not have picked this book to read if I knew all the details, but I'm glad I did not miss it. Day completely stole the show with her strength and intelligence and beauty. Kash was exactly what I expected and more: quite hypocritical and bratty, throwing tantrums when things didn't go his way. Even though his past puts his behavior in context, I wasn't completely wowed by him.
With every book I read, Ms. Blake impresses me because her stories capture the complexity and many facets of human relationships, the reasoning behind choices and how they impact lives, and every bit of that was on display here. Every choice Kash and Day made was relevant to their personal happiness and the country at large, for good or bad, and accepting each other and their needs made them a better team.
The McKay-Taggart team provided some much needed lightness and Big Tag was there to drop some much-needed wisdom, providing some comic relief along the way. For once, I can say that this book works perfectly fine as a stand-alone, but it won't hurt to read the series in order.
