Great book. Lots of never aging ideas, lots of real life examples. Should be read by anybody who is interested or involved in marketing business. Very easy language, so actually I could recommend this book for anyone.

I received this publication via kindle, the delivery was flawless. The read was an even better experience. The authors were able to capture how to conduct advertising and marketing campaigns sensibly. This is a must read for any media, communications, advertising, non-profit fund raisers, non-profit leaders and or business person.

This is one of my all time favorite marketing books... I've read it several times now, and pick up something new every time. This is a classic and a MUST READ for anyone doing anything remotely related to marketing.

I learned the importance of positioning my product and designing my marketing strategies around this position. Before I read this text I had no idea how critical positioning was, to the success of the brand. Now I know. This book will have a special place on my reference shelf, along with three other books I bought from the same author, Al Ries, and three by his daughter, also a marketer. All excellent!

Total waste of time and money. This book will teach you nothing. It’s promise to explain positioning but it’s only take the market leader and try to explain how they got there. Nonsense, all companies spend millions of dollars launching new products, some successful some less successful. Some of the companies are already out of business, book is outdated. Praise IBM, no mention to all the internet giants of today. Written 30 years ago, keep in mind. Not relevant for today economics.

This book taught me that positioning is differentiating yourself from the competition. It also gave me some ideas of how to figure this out. Apart from the great examples, this was also an easy-to-read and enjoyable book.

Positioning was a required reading at San Francisco State University when I was there and proved to be extremely valuable in starting my business. Sent the updated one to my business associate in the UK as a tool to use in our business there.

My first book about marketing that can teach me how to understand it’s profession. Even though the book has ambiguous information, it can help understand properly one of the basic knowledge about marketing school.

I think this book falls short of expectations. The contents covered by the author in the whole book could have been successfully covered in 5 pages. Any one with a little bit of marketing background will find it hard to learn anything new. Positioning is a big success factor in any marketing campaign, and this book doesn't cover the "how to" part adequately.

Nevertheless, it's a very easy read and will take you about an hour to finish the book.
