Review:Both The Go-Givers and the Go-Givers Sell More, as simple as they are, made a very big impact on me. Easy reads. Can't put them down. Perfect timing for starting a new year, and planning to grow our businesses. Read more
Review:My review is of the six cassette version. This is definately one of the classics for audio sales training and it has held up over the years because overall it is very good. I spend a lot of time on the road and have listened to pretty much all the programs. Everyone needs to find their own style and there are many other great ideas out there but you will certainly find a very good foundation in these cassettes. One of the things I personally liked about these cassettes is that Brian Tracy sound... Read more
Review:It was an interesting read but the authors' perception of libertarian paternalism stretches the definition of libertarian too far in my opinion. I did not find their policy targets to be especially interesting as subjects for discussion. They are far too timid. zZzzZZ What about choice architecture on my taxes? I would like to be able to opt out. But, this would not have made it through the editorial censors ("liberal" fascist ideology)
I was also annoyed with their incessant use of femin... Read more

Review:Richard H. Thaler traces in this book the origin and the making of 'Behavioural Economics', where core premises of the classical economic theory and generally accepted hypotheses in matter of finance and markets, are questioned.
Core premises
Core premises of economic theory are that people choose by optimizing (rational choices) and that supply equals demand (price equilibrium). These premises assume that economic decisions are taken by a selfish and rational agent: the homo economicu... Read more

Review:In his now-classic "Influence", Robert Cialdini tagged along with vacuum salesmen, car dealers and other persuasion professionals to come up with the six psychological principles that were "deployed routinely in long-prospering influence businesses" -- reciprocation, liking, social proof, authority, scarcity, and consistency. Those principles are still solid gold. Prof Cialdini once again gets his hands dirty to uncover an even deeper level of influence: how to make compliance almost a foregone ... Read more
Review:I set aside time to read this as my schedule is BUSY. Who told me to take a sneak peak? I could not put it down. Easy to read, understand and implement. Heads up at the starting gate tell you what to expect and maybe not, so hang on for the ride. I even booked a hair salon appointment so I could sit under the dryer and not be disturbed ( i never sit under anything for long). Strong persuasion tools and wins. I believe my kindle is full of highlights and bookmarked pages.
I admire and resp... Read more
Review:Before deciding to purchase the book I read the good reviews and obviously the bad reviews.
Bad reviews talked about "nothing new"... This is the first book I ever read about this topic, and found it incredibly good. Not only the way Nick kolenda explains an specific point. But at the same time with a story or an example that makes you realice it is true..
I definately recommend this book, rather your looking for a first read I can tell you it is a must, if youre already a genious ... Read more
Review:The most valuable thing I got was the idea that objections are just lack of trust, not actual objections. It's almost like he's an old wise man who understands life, because he's been through it all and can speak wisdom to you that would have took you a life time understand. Basically, you're getting the wisdom of an all time great salesman downloaded into your brain, with out having to work 30 years to attain it. Most of the book flows really well and is exciting to read. A few chapters are kin... Read more
