This slender volume is basically just a repackaging of popular economics topics that have been written about ad nauseam. Vaguely entertaining, but the research is very shallow, and the writing is amateurish. Would give it three stars, except that the publishers and/or authors clearly stacked the other reviews in an egregious way.

Amazing book with some very interesting and unique essays. My favorite is "Diamonds are bulls***," though one piece of caution...DO NOT send that essay to your girlfriend. I had to learn the hard way after I got an email back from her saying "What are you trying to say"...

Anyway, definitely a great read and one that's likely to surprise even the most knowledgeable of people.

Written in the same manner as their excellent blogs, this book offers an alternative viewpoint to many of the accepted norms that we just "take for granted".
Is it controversial? Yes!
Do I agree with everything? No, not at all, but this easily read book that deserves a place on your kindle or ipad.and while as others have said US focussed, is an entertaining read with a different "slant" on what many take for granted.

Priceonomics regularly make my lunch break more interesting with their blog, and their new book is completely up to snuff. It's all well researched and insightful reviews about every day stuff all around us which is cynical, but not pessimistic and often comical. Well worth the read to learn a bit and laugh a bit, though sometimes laughing at yourself when you realized you've been duped.

A quick, fun, interesting and easy read. Everything is Bulls*** provides the reader with mostly economic related stories enabling one to become the hit of the party by sharing many interesting "did you know" facts.

Add this to your must read for Summer 2014!

This is a great read– reminds me heavily of Freakonomics, which is not at all a bad thing. Even if you read the Pricenomics blog (the source for many of the essays), the book-exclusive ones alone are worth the price of admission.

The cost of misinformation in the information age is high and rising. The Priceonomics' team reveals some of the most costly lies we accept today. Everyone can learn something form this book. And, their writing clear, concise, empathetic, and unbiased. This is what investigative journalism should be.

Insightful and enjoyable read.
Elucidate concepts you feel and know are made up but could not explain why...
Good read.
Then again could this be a new big Lie that this is a great book and you should go spend some of your hard earned money buying the book?

Why did the Food Pyramid change? Where did the Chilean Sea Bass get it's name? What happens to a car when you donate it to charity? Do you think you know the answers? To paraphrase Paul Harvey, Everything is Bull**** gives you the rest of the story.

Reminiscent of Malcolm Gladwell's books, this book is full of fun and interesting facts and stories.

Overall a great read.

Very well written collection of articles by the good people at Priconomics.com! Reminds me a little bit of the Freakonomics series by Dubner & Levitt. This book is written in a different style, but is equally entertaining and eye-opening.

Gladwell, Levitt, and Dubner would be happy reading this.

Every wonder why we pay for diamonds?

Why are so many college grads in debt?

I rarely read and this book got my interest. It takes an objective look at what we see as "normal" and "acceptable" and asks, Why do we do that? It's long enough to go into detail so you can talk to your friends about it and short enough it'll take a day to read and not make you tired doing it.

If you're ready to look at the world in a different perspective, give this a read. If you like how things are going and believe everything is right in the world, pass on this.

This is going to find a nice home next to my Freakonomics and Gladwell books on the living room bookshelf.
