This is my first Jonathan Kellerman book and I am very impressed with the saga of Dr. Delaware, Robin and Milo. Now I will need to go and buy all the previous Delaware books and start from the beginning. This book features Dr. Delaware delving into the life of a past patient, a patient he had only seen twice. The patient, Lauren ends up brutally murdered and Alex and Milo team up in search of her killer. The journey takes them into the world of prostitution and the sex industry. Lots of twists and turns here....hold on to your seat!

This isn't Kellerman's "Piece de Resistance", but it ranks up there as one of his better works. His charachter Alex Delaware has regained momentum over the past few novels. He tells a story with so many twists and turns it makes your head spin, but in the end has you turning the pages like a maniac because you can't wait to find out what happens next. In typical Kellerman fashion, we're held off indefinitely until he decides to reveal the who-dun-it.
Unless I've completely missed the boat and am unaware of Alex Delaware's citizenship, I am a little annoyed about one thing: The character, a supposed Los Angeles native, uses words like "loo" for bathroom, "lift" for elevator, and "post" for mail. Being that these words are undoubtedly British, the editor should have made more of an effort to catch these errors.

After reading Monster and being pleasantly suprised, I was quickly disappointed with this very average book. The plot was a mess. I felt the book had way too many characters to follow and the characters were not that interesting. Also, I really never understood Alex's obbession with the deceased. I think, after reading two books, Kellerman is a good writer but is up and down like anyone.

There is not one boring spot in this engrossing novel of using your mind. Alex Delaware sets off on another mystery and a mystery it is until the very end (unless you are the smartest person alive). I wish I could come up with an intricate as plot as Flesh and Blood has. It may not be that original, but the characters and setting are one of a kind. It is an easy read yet a hard thinker. For those who like figuring out mysteries, you will have a hard time with this one. Praise Jonathan Kellerman.

The last couple of books in the Alex Cross series were a bit disappointing to me, but Mr. Kellerman is back in full force with this one. It's always great to revisit the psychologist and his gay friend, Milo, and go along with them as they investigate another murder. Wonderful read!

I really enjoyed this book. It provided a few twists and mystery that kept me wanting to see what would happen next. What more can you ask for? I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys a good mystery and drama.

Mr. Kellerman seems to be getting back on track for Alex and Milo in his new novel. But there are two major mistakes that should have been caught by a able editor and even the author himself and that is the disappointment in this book.
