I liked this one - Jonathan Kellerman really leaves you "hanging" until the last few pages. He very adroitly recognizes that the reader may not have started with the first book in the "Delaware" series and deals with this by repeating past relationships without pounding on them. Professionally Kellerman holds a Ph. D., in Clinical Psychology from the University of Southern California and has long experience in working with Psychosocial Programs for children. He is married to the author Faye Kellerman.

Somewhat slow to start, but then suddenly you find yourself engrossed in Alex Delaware's thoughts and dilemma involving an old flame. Could Alex have prevented the tragedies that occur? In the end, Dr. Delaware knows. Again, Jonathan Kellerman's Alex Delaware mystery is well worth the read.

Very graphic sexual episodes, a bit too much detail there.
Interesting from psychologist emotional involvement & need for consultation from a college for personal help
Ending was a plus for many people & their ultimate welfare.

This one is somewhat different than the usual Alex Delaware novel in that Delaware is much more personally involved--so much of the story is his history as well as the dead(?) ex-lover's. A few times I had lapses of memory and did not know of which woman he was speaking--my bad.
As with all the other Kellerman novels, it was a quick and enjoyable read. Bring us more!

This Alex Delaware murder mystery was very involved....unlike other novels it involved graphic sex ...plus Alex and Robin were separated in this story...Milo is a fascinating character and I love his interrogation skills. Great read.

This book was awful. Way too many characters! So wordy with
Useless descriptions of flowers and homes and drive ways
That l found myself skimming page a page. It took most of the book before it finally it began to get mildly interesting!!

Unlike the other Deleware novels I've read I found this book tedious, boring, and hard to stay awake. I've never been a fan of going back and forth in time. spends too much time with rambling background. I kept thinking "get on with the suspense" Kellerman usually has me hooked in first chapter but I couldn't even get interested by the 4th chapter.

Kellerman is one of my favorite authors. Have gone back to his early works with this choice. Although it basically held my interest throughout, I felt he was overly descriptive in some of the passages. So much so that I skipped over quite a few. Still, he puts together fantastic stories. He wraps up endings superbly.
