Mistakes are made and instincts are ignored and result is the loss of a six year old. A network of pediophiles have taken a child and are quite smug about it. In the end the agent gets the man and the woman who kidnapped the child.

Nice read while we wait for Karin Slaughter's next novel. This is a nice quick Will Trent story. Will is at his deductive reasoning best as he races against time to find an abducted child. I enjoyed this brief interlude with Will Trent.

I enjoyed this novella. The description was rich, and I felt connected with the main character. I haven't read many novellas. They read very quickly. I wished it had a little more to it. I finished it with a feeling of wanting more. Maybe that's the point, kind of like watching TV shows that leave you hanging week after week after week, leaving you wanting more. Maybe that's why Slaughter writes these short novellas, to get you hooked and wanting her full-length novels.

Overall, I was pleased but now I need to go buy another one of her books.

AS USUAL KARIN SLAUGHTER HAS WRITTEN ANOTHER SPELL BINDING BOOK THAT KEEPS YOU SO ENTRENCHED IN THE STORY. I COULD NOT STOP READING UNTIL I HAD READ THE ENTIRE NOVELLA. IT IS AN INTENSE STORY AND YOU MIRROR THE EMOTIONS OF THE LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENTS. ABSOLUTELY THE BEST.

A great short story written in Karen Slaughters wonderful style. Worth a read by every mystery fan.
Ms Slaughter has a style all of her own. I have read all of her books to date. I have never been disappointed.

Karen Slaughter is a great writer! If you haven't. Started reading her books, this is a great one to start reading. She pulls you into the story. Her characters are so believeable! You will love the methodical way she tells a story. Highly recommend!

Karen Slaughter is on a roll that started with the first word she typed about murder and mayhem in Georgia.

The latest Will Trent peek into the belly of the beast is no different.

Thanks Karen you're the best!

Great quick read. It was especially interesting for me since I live in Georgia and have been to the Atlanta Airport hundreds of times. It has been through a remodel now but I could literally walk along with he characters. A must read.

I just love reading Karin Slaughters story, I found these short stories only now and loved them.
This one about a little girl being snatched from her mother and found by Will Trent who works hard to follow his hunch that something is not right about this man with the girl. After some great police work and a whole lot of frustration the girl is found. The whole story behind the abduction is such a good twist and great ending for this story............awesome!!

This was a really thought-provoking novella that held my attention from beginning to end. I certainly learned what goes on at an airport when it has to be closed down, in this case, due to a child abduction. I truly could not put it down until I finished it. Since it is a short story, it is a quick and easy read. I am a big fan of Karin Salughter and have read all of her books, including "Criminal" which just came out this year. I always look forward to an announcement that she has a new book coming out.

I love Will Trent but this novella is suffers from a laughably one dimensional villain. Still, the plot moves quickly and the final paragraph is touching but this is not a great example of Slaughter's abilities.

I love Karin Slaughter's books. Her stories are very intriguing and the characters are people you really want to know more about. I can't ever predict what will happen. I also think that Ms. Slaughter does a great job on research for her books.

This is the first story I read from Karin Slaughter. I figured a Kindle Single was a good way to be introduced to a new author. This story was very good and certainly kept my interest. Similar to other reviews I found the conclusion to happen abruptly - which kept me wanting more (maybe that was the reason of the novella). I am looking forward to reading the next book from Karin Slaughter.

Fast pace, real, and heartfelt. The author did a great job, with the only exception being some repeated information. But the information doesn't take from the story line. I will definitely read this author again and highly recommend this book.

this book was very well written. it held my interest, had a good plot and was very fluid in transition. i was very excited to see she had a series of will trent books. however, much to my dismay the first book is absolutely horrible. it is all over the place and is taking me 3 weeks just to get 50% read. that review will be coming soon. this book snatched, however was worth a read.

I absolutely loved this novella. This is the first of Ms. Slaughter's works I've read and I can't wait for more. This story had me hooked from the first page and I loved every second of it. I was both sad and relieved that it is such a quick read - I wanted more but the story is so gripping and I got so involved I'm not sure how ouch more I could have taken! Absolutely wonderful.

Even more so now! Great surprise novella from Ms. Slaughter - made my week! Gritty, fast-paced story with our favorite characters Will, Faith and Amanda. The excerpt from Criminal at the end was just icing on the cake - cannot wait for July 3rd - off to preorder now.
