Omega Force: Savage Homecoming

I liked the continued development of the storyline and characters. We are given back stories for Jason and Crusher that help explain their hearts. Earth discovers it is not alone. Jason struggles to work through his emotions with personal relationships and his home world.

Omega Force Savage Homecoming is a good science fiction book with plenty of action, hi tech weapons and suspense. I have enjoyed all three of the Omega books and recommend them to anyone who likes science fiction.

Man I can't put these books down ,, really enjoyed the infusion of humor among the characters. I hope I can stretch the series out til the next blackfleet #3....the characters r great, the action riveting. .... need to get this made into a series or trilogy of movies

This is an enjoyable story but with some recurring flaws that undermine its believability. I know, it's science fiction, but the characters' behavior and motivations should make sense within the context of the plot. Jason continually blunders full speed ahead into situations he knows, or should know, are traps without taking even the most obvious precautions. With just a couple of exceptions, his primary strategy is damn the torpedoes (or missiles or plasma cannons) full speed ahead. I'm not sure how he survives much less motivates the other very capable members of his crew to accede to his leadership role. He lacks diplomacy when it's needed the most and his personality and motivations seem simplistic. It's light reading but doesn't require much engagement.
