#1 Spoken in Japanese and translated by his wife whom I could not undrstand either. And then the meat of his talk was shown on power point slides and the photograher kept going between the speaker and his wife.

This book will open your eyes to how 'thoughts are things' and how 'thinking is creating'. It's an amazing book with pictures that tell a story of how our feelings and thoughts are tied to 'All that is'....

An amazing wake up call. There is a StarTrek episode where an alien calls humans "ugly bags of mostly water"... We are all mostly water and we can create huge changes if we simply focus. Read this book to understand how you can make a huge difference in yourself and the world.

This is science proving that it is comparable with spiritually, that everything in this world is interconnected and interdependent, once you understand the principal of vibration and knowing all things are in motion, your concept of reality will change and you never be the same again, and believe me that's a good thing. This is knowledge that will last you the rest of your life and give you a new appriciation for life itself.

Written in a clear and vivid language and supplemented by crisp photographs of water crystals, the author has shown the importance of thinking and acting positively if we want to keep the water crystals in perfect shape. Since everything, music, words, thoughts, actions, have an impact on the water crystals, we have to be very careful not to think in destructive ways. An excellent and thought-provoking book. It makes one think twice before saying a word or acting in a way that might have a negative influence on the water crystals.

Book is beautiful and excellent. Shows you how much influence water has on our lives and the influence we have on it (other than the fact we need it to survive). From the time of birth to the later stages in life, our body is composed of between 55 to 80% water (throughout my life I came across arious statistics that gave different answers on that, so that is just an estimate). All of the things we eat physically/mentally/spiritually music, people that you encounter, and the environment that we live in all has a tremendous influence on your thought process, which then affects your entire body which then affects those or whatever is around you because now your transmitting that negative or postive energy outwardly. What I think Dr. Emoto is trying explain or get across in this book is the power of being positive. Can literally change the whole vibration/energy of the earth. Great book

Very well done! The author presents a fascinating & new idea in the most scientific way possilbe. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to read a balance of science and spirituality. I appreciate the fact that the author doesn't claim to have all of the answers and that there is still so much fine tuning to do in his area of research. Very interesting and captivating!

Awesome and groundbreaking. This is more of an opinion on a science study not like a scientific journal about the study. We affect the state of things like water in between liquid and frozen state changes. I remember when some Tibetan monks were put up for this channeling experiment and there were posters up around town that said like peace or love and had ice crystal pictures. This book experiments in reference, I believe is part of, or the start of that whole thing about metaphysics trash can knowledge and all this nifty stuff monks can do with water.

This book is based on a very intriguing concept, however it doesn't prove anything and it is seriously delirious. The author's thesis is: water exposed to "positive" experiences makes beautiful, regular crystals, whereas water exposed to "negative" experiences, does not make crystals or it makes incomplete crystals". This concept reflects what homeopathic medicine is based upon. I don't have anything against it. However the author shows only ONE picture for each and every condition.
He shows pictures of water crystals which were formed in the presence of the word "thank you" in different languages. Undeniably the crystals exposed to "thank you", "danke" and "merci" ARE regular. Undeniably, the crystals exposed to "grazie" and "thank you in Chinese" are IRREGULAR. Just go see for yourself. Does it mean that Chinese and Italian are intrinsically rude languages? Tap water from most cities makes poor crystals, supposedly because of the chlorine. Water from a Yellowstone pool has poor crystals, too (not a surprise because Yellowstone water is extremely rich in mineral contaminants). Nonetheless the author attaches a positive meaning to it. The water crystal from Lake Maggiore in Norther Italy is beautiful. Well, I tell ya, Lake Maggiore is NOT a clean water and you can believe me because it's exactly were I come from. The water from the Fontana di Trevi in Rome makes round crystals thus resembling the coins that people throw in the fountain. To me it is indistinguishable from the round water crystal made under the influence of the word "satan" I mean, come on!

This book gave me a completely different thought about water, the food for body and mind, which we cannot live without.
The thought of love and gratitude behind the quality of water gave me a greater feeling of drinking and living.

They say technology will advance by 1000X in the next 100 years compared to the last 100 years. If this is true, will we advance in the knowledge of water or will it simply be a constant variable in our lives. This book opens a new chapter in the human experience. Is water more than what it seems?

Most people think very mechanically in how the world works. We believe in only solid evidence and concrete data to advance in science. I believe this way of thinking seems to advance our society but does so very slowly.

I think Dr. Emoto wants us to think beyond what we know. We need an open mind to consider some of the things he talks about.

I have read several of his books. Some of the ideas he has seem odd, but they are at least worth considering. Definitely more research needs to be done with water.

This was the first book I read from him. I enjoyed reading it. It really made me think a little differently about water.

While I don't agree with every procedure as scientifically grounded, the notions that it opens up are wonderful and it is likely that he has a seminal insight that he shares. The Hidden Messages in Water

The Hidden Messages in Water is a powerful analysis of the reality of water. Think about the body being 70% water. Think about the brain sitting in water. Think about the glass of water that you drink... anyone who interacts with water should read this.

The author suggests these microphotographs of ice crystals show how our thoughts and feelings can be projected into the water and affect the formation of the ice crystals. The work is beautiful and interesting, but appears to be more subjective than scientific as it appears dubious the results are repeatable. Thought provoking and somewhat whimsical. A worthy read to reflect on our emotions and the deep concerns about the way we are managing or mismanaging our planet.

Intriguing presentation of the effects of consciousness, which in turn, enhances consciousness. Appears to be evidence that our state of mind actually matters - literally. I found this study to be very helpful in "translating" the microcosm of sitting meditation to everyday experience. Interacting with water is so common an experience, it is very central to almost everything else we do through the day. And it seems to be a small step from appreciation of water to the appreciation of everything and everyone else.

I believe this book has the power to transform the way you view life. I am a teacher and I discuss this book in my class. It is always intriguing to the kids. I now raffle it off at the end of the year and I can't tell you how happy the students are to receive it. It opens their eyes to how important their thoughts and feelings are. That is a wonderful gift to give a child.

A great read, which provides some amazing insights into the world around us, within us and beyond us! It further inspires me to continue to explore the clear (yet too often hidden) universal connectedness which binds all things in nature. Are we, ultimately, all one?

Dr. Emoto's book challenges more than just perception with his thought-provoking journey into the hidden messages of water. His studies over the past decades have indeed upturned even one of the most widely accepted of notions in our world: that we are unable to control elements outside of ourselves and our immediate environments. Through simple language that is readily understood even by those of us who are non-science-minded, the book gently explains that the findings of Dr. Emoto have been ground-breaking in understanding the impact of our thoughts on the world around us. He clearly explains that the affirmations of a positive attitude are as impacting upon our evironments as actions. Emotions like love and gratitude are shown to be creative forces in this universe. Likewise, the impact of negative thoughts and emotions can be shown to destroy. With an open mind, Dr. Emoto's studies could change your world, as well.

Excellent pictures that give startling proof of how both written and spoken words affect the structure of a freezing water crystal. I'm not a fan of thinking like the author that being nice to each other can affect the crystals of our bodies and minds enough to bring salvation to the world because there are simply some people, and at some times, that will always refuse to do so. It s an empty hope without power no matter how attractive it is. But the pictures are still worth every penny in the book.
