The author did an extremely good job of depicting the inner workings of the "Familia". The storyline was well thought out and the characters had depth, which made everything work and believable.

This is not a typical romance. It is dark and violent. It is a book about the Italian Mafia way of life. Nothing is nice or light but there is an HEA or at least for now...

This book was recommended by another author and not an I glad I heeded her recommendation! My eyes couldn't keep up with how fast I wanted to read because I had to know how this book ended! Excellent gripping Mafia with a emotional love story. Perfection!

Definitely a book I have read more than once.

Luca, a mafia man from New York, is destined to marry Aria, the daughter of a mafia man from Chicago, and together they are meant to help forge a bond between two warring crime families. Aria is extremely afraid to marry Luca but you are able to see throughout the novel that Aria cares deeply for Luca. Luca on the other hand can seem extremely cold and indifferent to Aria. Always putting the "family" first we see throughout the novel Luca's transformation from a mafia figure to a husband.

Definitely a book I would recommend for someone looking for a great fictional read.

I have never read a romance book quite like this. The dynamic between Luca and Aria was at first strained. Whose wouldn't be when you're in am arranged marriage to a mobster? But it gets better after they marry. This was well written and classy and not what you expect. I highly recommend it.

I loved every character in this series. This is actually the second time I'm reading them. I hadn't done reviews the first time I read the books. Luca , Aria, Dante, Valentina, Gianna, Matteo I loved all these couples. Perfect mix of romance, mafia, dirtiness, and sex

OK book series; however, did these books even pass a final edit for review? Too many grammatical errors, storyline skips. Very distracting while reading. I feel like a refund is due for faulty writing.

My word, I was over the scared, flinching virgin after the first scene but lo and behold, it just kept on going. 83% and sex was still hurting! That wasn't sexy. It was awkward and uncomfortable reading it.
I think the draw of reading a mafia/gangster based book is to see H in action among this lifestyle. So being given little snippets of temper, jealousy and brutality in between sooo much porn, is just boring. If I wanted a straight romance I'll read other books for that.

Was this a YA? I can never wrap my head around young love lasting. That's the cynic in me. Also, a 23yo H doesn't hold much credibility with me either.

I really liked the writing style but the whole book was too slow for my liking and definitely not enough character development. I gave the star for writing style.

Beginning of the book sucked me in and remained at a good pace. Appreciated there wasn't too much swearing in the book, but was disappointed the second half of the book mostly focused on the couple's nightly escapades nearly every other page. I may check out the second book in the series...

After reading quite a few mafia romance (romance in general) books that were just so cliched and without any character developement, Bound by Honor was a pleasure to read. I love how the author gave such detailed insight into the main character of Aria's way of thinking and acceptance of her enagagement/marriage to someone at such a young age. I also really enjoyed how she developed Aria and Luca's relationship and the trust that formed between the two them, as well as how she portrayed the role of women born and raised in the maria culture. Can't wait for the next book!

One of the best novels I have ever read, seriously! I am such a picky reader and it's so hard for me to find a good book since I go through them so fast, but I absolutely fell in LOVE with Cora Reilly's "Born in Blood" series and got completely hooked after reading "Bound by Honor". If you love a good mafia or arranged marriage romance, this book is literally the perfect combination. It's my favorite of the series and best thing is it's free as well!

Great read. Definitely have a book crush on Luca. Aria was perfect in my mind. It's a personal preference for me when the main female character is a virgin. I like reading about them coming into their own and experiencing new things.

I don't generally like mafia-style books but this one was enjoyable enough that I might eventually pick up more by Cora Reily. The characters would have been better if they'd been more developed/less of a stereotype but they were still relatable and fun. And, to give credit to the author, she managed to explain why they were so dumb sometimes (age and lack of experience.)

A good easy read if you want something a little naughty and dark.

Must read!! When a daughter of a mafia father is promised to another son of a mafia at fifteen. Aria has three years to get use to it. She doesn't see him but once at fifteen, then again when she's marries him at the alter. She finds out he isn't as as she thinks the longer she's with him.

The interplay of innocence and death is as captivating as the steamy ex scene between this husband and wife. Slowly you move from feeling horrible about Luca to seeing the results as he LOVES his wife. The inside of the mafia was great. HEA lick your lips!

I got this one my Kindle Unlimited --- the rest of the books you have to buy --- very disappointed. The book was good tho some fast parts some slow and some disgustingly disturbing traditions I could have gone with out however the author thought they were important.

This story really surprised me. Get this book you won't regret it.
Intriguing characters, engaging story line and a dark romance.
This is a story of finding love in unexpected dark places. I will most definitely be reading the others in this series.

I happened upon these books and fell in love with them. They are gritty and honest. The characters are flawed and dangerous, but I still fell in love with them. Love scenes are crazy-steamy-hot, and the ending was very satisfying! I'm going to read the entire series now!

Although this book was a little long for my short attention span, I ended up loving it. The sexual tension and chemistry is was kept me turning pages. Full disclosure, Luca is an idiot and does some very un-honorable things, but hey, it's a steamy novel about the mob. So ya really can't be faulting the author. I look forward to reading the other stories by Cora Reilly.

Just when I was having a reading slumb, I stumbled over this book on Goodreads.

Three words:

I LOVE IT!!

The book was amazing, the characters was amazing, and the writing was also amazing.
I started reading this book at 8 pm and finished it 3 hours later!
I love how Luca and Aria's relationship. The way they first started out and the way they finished was amazing, and totally realistic.
I also really liked Aria’s relationship with her siblings, Gianna, Lily & Fabiano. The way they cared about each other was so sweet, and I literally just wanted to hug them all.

So the main character Aria. I really liked her. The way she handled things at such an young age was inspiring, and she stayed strong through it all, but still also has her weak and vulnerable moments. I also really liked Luca.

I would totally recommend this one:)

I'm giving this a five star rating without hesitation. Rarely do I find a romance that has everything I'm looking for. I'm amazed at how much I enjoyed the anticipation of what's to come. I loved not knowing what was coming next. The writing was flawless, ending was beautifully created, and left me without a doubt wanting to finish the whole series. I never do reviews, but this one was a must!

Reading a five star book, but then the author had to go and screw it up.
Spoilers

Luca agreed to give Aria time before they consummated their marriage, and you thought oh he actually cares about her. Wrong, he was out screwing around the whole time, she catches him and forgives him in two hours. Aria had absolutely no backbone what so ever, as soon as Luca took her to the bedroom that's all she cared about. Everything Luca did was ok as long as he gave her pleasure. I know the mafia is a brutal business, but I was disappointed Aria had no problem with any of the murder or cheating or anything else. Hopefully Gianna will have a little more backbone in her story.

I thought it was a well written book that introduces the reader into the world of the mafia without pulling any punches. The development of the characters was a good pace so you didn't get bored but also didn't have to re-read to get what the author was saying. However, if you don't like to read about erotic sex and violence, this is not the book for you! I can't wait to read the next book in the series.

I stumbled across this book while on the store and am so happy I did!!! Bound by Honor hooked me from page one, I couldn't put it down, I wanted to know how Aria was going to adjust and cope with her new future. I was not disappointed either she was strong and brave and so unbelievably resilient. Luca was the strong alpha male that I love, the only downside for me and why I didn't give it 5 stars was although I loved being in Aria's thoughts I would of loved to know what Luca was thinking and how he felt about the marriage and Aria herself.

I stumbled across this book and wasn't really sure if I wanted to buy it, but I'm really glad I did. I would've read it all in one sitting if I didn't have to get up for class the next morning. I haven't read many mafia books since I don't usually like a lot of violence, so I wasn't sure how much I would like this, but there isn't an overabundance of violence and the rest of the story is awesome enough that you don't have to focus too much on the violence that is written. I love the characters, especially Aria's siblings in the first part of the book. I also really liked the progression of Aria and Luca's relationship and the fact that Luca didn't push himself on Aria on their wedding night but waited until she was ready. As I already said, I'm so glad I decided to read this book and I can't wait to see what happens in the next books!

This book had me hooked from the very beginning. I couldn't put it down, staying up and reading it in one night. Action, suspense, not to mention a well developed storyline. I will definitely be reading the other books in the series!

I absolutely loved this book!! I could read about Lucca and Aria forever. He surprised me at every turn. He's supposed to be such a mean person and yet he has a soft side, it's just hidden. Got my drama, romance and my HEA and I've already recommended this book to other people.

Getting past the violence, there is a love story here. Hard to imagine a tough mafioso to have the restraint compassion and tenderness that the heroine needs but that's what make the story compelling. He's not a good guy nor a hero in the shiny white knight sense, so there's that conundrum for our heroine. Still, the sequels should provide more revelations.

This story seemed to focus more on the developing relationship between Aria and Luca than the bloody violent world they lived in. I am not a fan of murder and bloodshed but I enjoyed the bond of love that formed between them. I hope they treasure this time together because I don't see a long and happy life for them in such a brutal atmosphere.

Loved this book a little predictable in the beginning but halfway through it started to speed up and I loved it! The heroine isn't your typical naive girl which the author made apparent in the book because Aria grew up in this lifestyle. she's very smart and intelligent *sigh of relief* Luca is ruthless and just as smart as Aria but he lacked the emotional side of the marriage and during the story you get to see him change :) I loved it would recommend it to anyone.
