I love this series, and finally Jane made a smart personal choice to go along with all of her well made professional choices. She seemed to keep sticking with the same old option that was going no where and it was getting old. I was delighted with this new addition to the series. I can't wait for the next one! As usual Faith Hunter had me reading straight through, hardly able to put the book down. Job well done!

I was extremely happy with the events of this book. I found myself skimming just so I could see what would happen next. I can't wait to see what happens in the next book. I definitely recommend this series.

I keep thinking I'm going to be disappointed, how can Faith Hunter keep the story going but she does and I can't wait for the next one. An extremely talented author with characters other author's would love to have created. I love Jane's relationship with the Younger brother's, her family now and how easily they work together and read each other. What next with Bruiser.....and Leo. Dark heir is already pre-ordered :)

I got totally hooked on this whole series of Faith Hunter's books. If you read one, you want to read them all. There is non stop action in every book and you won't want to put the book down. I would recommend this author to anyone. I promise you won't be disappointed.

The latest chapter of Jane Yellowrock's saga is highly entertaining and not without surprises. I think this is one of the best of the series and leaves you wondering what is next. I am eagerly awaiting her next adventure.

I love Jane Yellowrock! She's a wonderful character...flawed but honorable. The rest of the characters are great too. We keep getting more and more background on them the further the series goes. Keep them coming Faith Hunter!!!

I love all of the Jane Yellowrock novels. Faith Hunter does an amazing job of drawing the reader into the novel and leaving you begging for more. I love how each novel answers questions brought up in the predecessors, and then fills you up with more questions.

In this novel, Mrs. Hunter explores more of the characters' personalities, flaws and all and the reader is able to see where loyalties lay, boundaries are distributed, and how Jane is able to stick to her guns, no matter what.

Like Ilona Andrews, you can't go wrong with Faith Hunter. Jane Yellowrock is one of the best kick-ass heroines around. Me. Butler's books are well written and well thought out. Can't wait for April 2015!

Faith Hunter is an excellent writer. I have read all of her books, and each novel keeps getting better. I always pre-order her books, and as soon as they hit for release, I am immersed into her world.

I always look forward to a new Jane Yellowrock release. Jane lives full out action, adventure, and occasionally, a little romance. She develops a new understanding and relationship with Beast and finally finds out what the angel did to them. We also get more of sneaky Leo's secrets that as usual cause havoc and mayhem for Jane. While preparing for the Euro vamps, Jane has to battle a vampire and his crew who are trying to take over the world with the help of some hidden artifacts and a light dragon who seems attracted to Jane. Jane is maturing socially and learning to live in a "family" for the first time in her long existence.

The mark of a good author is one who can keep me coming back after so many books to find out what happens next and make me care about her characters. Faith Hunter tortures and tantalizes those of us who want to see Jane find happiness with a good man. Her love life has more lows than highs with Ricky Bo, who broke her heart, and Bruiser, who wants to own it. He still seems too attached to Leo and the council to be able to make her the main focus. There's more blood and gore than I care for albeit this is Urban Fantasy and quite a few pages of weaponing up that get tedious.

I like Jane and her friends so I will be back for more when Dark Heir comes out.

Can't say enough about Jane Yellowrock. She's bad, loaded to the gills with new weaponry, and over her head with the vampires of New Orleans. And soon she'll be over her head with vampires from around the world .

My favorite series, by far! Jane/Beast are the best character I've ever read. I love the details the author provides on weapons & action scenes. I just don't have the words to give this Series it's proper accolades!!

I really love the story line. The world is incredible and the characters are all, well you want to keep them. This isn't Mercy from Patricia Briggs series. She is a Cherokee Skin Walker, and not horribly evil either.

Everyone of these books keeps me coming back for more. I always finish each one wanting more. There are some book series out there that a start off good, but then go down hill. Faith Hunter has the ability to keep a good story going without leaving the reader feeling like it is being drug it out.

It appears that I read "Broken Soul" out of order. I've been following the delightful Jane Yellowrock series and hope this doesn't spoil "Black Arts" since I intend to read it next. (sigh) I'm not a fan of all of Faith Hunter's work but I'm hooked on Yellowrock and her badass self!

This author/ series never fails to entertain. The writing is extremely creative and smart. Unlike other series of its genre, sufficient energy is put into the weaving of an excellent story, complete with high-tech-action, romance , horror and edge of your seat preternatural crime solving ---- not repetitively dumb, sex scenes.
Excellent job, Faith Hunter.

I've read everything Faith has written. It was disappointing to me that Faith had chosen to follow the Jane Yellowrock series instead of continuing the Dr. Rhea Rhea series, but with this book, and re-reading the two books before this, I am well and truly hooked on this series as well.

Kind of a dirty pleasure. I think the Kim Harrison's and Patricia Briggs books are more rounded story whose and with better character development.. That being said I still keep coming back to Jane yellow rock

I really enjoy Faith Hunter and this series and will try other works as well.
As usual Jane kicks butt and the pace is fast. Jane is also growing a little and this is good to see. I recommend this series to anyone liking urban fantasy with fast paced action. If you like Jennifer Estep, CE Murphy of the Walker Papers, Ilona Andrews , Patricia Briggs, Chloe Neill or the master of this genre, Jim Butcher, then you will love this series.

One negative is that her writing deserves better editing in this book. The ditch around a castle is a moat not a mote. Also toward the end the main characters are following one female character down a passage when the text then uses another charaters name for the bone being followed. The new name belongs to a character who we have been told is lying wounded somewhre else. Otherwise this would be another 5 star review, and the series gets 5 stars.

This was my first full Yellowrock novel I've read in the series and I'm hooked! The story is well developed and the characters harmonize with each other pretty well. Not giving away the story in itself, it's a must read if you're a fan of vampires or skinwalkers. I can't wait to read the next in the series.
