This starts off very silly & fantasy wish fulfillment, but Shannon & Declan and their motley crew of families and friends turn into complex people who are more than fodder for comedy.
There are a lot of silly moments & hilarious dialogue (as well as many sex scenes), but there are also lots of lovely moments of people connecting as human beings

There is a lot of unnecessary narrative. I found myself skipping pages because of it. She'd start a conversation then have 2 pages of narration before letting the other person respond. Almost like she had to include every single detail she was thinking rather than letting us fill in the blanks. There were very humorous parts but overall, just a lot of fill in the space paragraphs.

I'm not usually into the 'billionaire' books because I think they've been WAY overdone. In reality, there are very few single billionaires, and none of them are panty dropping hot. That being said, I picked up the first in this series for free, and I was hooked. I was up two nights in a row until after 2 am to finish this great story. I'm SO glad I took a chance on this series, because I loved it!

I'll start with the positive, because it's short. I liked the premise and the first story had a lot of promise. There's some funny, clever situations. Definitely light hearted and meant to be slap-stick. Know that going into it. Shannon reminds me of like Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum character; in terms of the crazy situations she gets into. That part I really didn't mind, until you brought in the over-the-top supporting cast. Now to the negative.... the MOM. I could handle everyone else, but the mom is so over the top & ridiculous, that I began losing interest, quickly. She's not even funny after awhile & actually takes away from the story. If you continue to buy the rest, like Fiancé of the Billionaire (even when I hate stories - including 50 Shades of Grey - I am a sucker for seeing it through) know that the mom just gets worse!! Nothing funny or likeable about her. I like Declan and Shannon together, but there's too much family interference, poop references (yep I said it) to immerse yourself in their love story, after awhile. One last thing..... I can not believe how much time was spent on the dangers of bee/wasp stings over this set and the fiancé. I get the drama and references but it was over and over and over. I can not understand the 4 and 5 stars for this series.. Maybe others were better at blocking at the "family and friends" and just excited to read about Shannon and Declan.

Oh my.. this series is so much stinkin' fun.... I have recommended it to friends, who have now recommended it to friends. It's light hearted, silly, sweet, and oh have I mentioned silly. Honestly, there were scenes that had me laughing out loud... read this if you are looking for a light easy read that will make you smile.

I don't usually write anything on these books but this made me laugh out loud so many times, I love that the main character is a curvy girl. She seemed more real to me. This was a great series and I can not wait the read the latest book.

While the book had a good storyline, it was overloaded with too many rabbits to chase. I felt like I was on a
Mixmaster on a freeway and had to keep hunting the main story. There were too many attempts at humor that just seemed like the author was trying too hard to be funny. Definitely didn't live up to the hype.

These stories are charming and hillarious. I loved every minute. I frequently found them so laugh outloud funny
That I woke my husband up while reading in bed and quietly laughing so hard the bed was shaking thus waking him up. He forgave me when I read him the excerpt that caused my shaking. Great group of stories. So human!

I loved this book! I loved Shannon's family. Yes, the romance was good, but I so enjoyed a book that was realistic. The family was Hilarious! The writer was so up to date in her comparisons, whether it was music, history, movies, old tv shows, etc. The "turd mobile was priceless! I can't remember ever laughing so much, quite honestly, I never had. What a fun, romantic novel!

OMG! These stories nearly made me wet my pants. Julia Kent mixes humor with some real life concerns and does so with a thoughtful approach. Declan and Shannon are completely different but they come together and build a strong foundation for their relationship. If you want a romantic comedy in book form, pick up this set and giggle away.

Declan and Shannon have a wonderful, crazy, and extremely funny love story! "Toilet Girl" and "Hot Guy" are great together. Shannon's mother Marie is uncensored and hysterically funny (if it's not happening to me, it's funny). Get this series book and then I suggest you buy "Shopping for a Billionare's Fiancé" to complete the hysterics!

I thoroughly enjoyed this hilariously story. It showcased a sensitive, loving down to earth billionaire who was totally absorbed with a " normal" , non-Barbie, down to earth, struggling female with a very real dysfunctional family. The author's use of descriptive colorful words and phrases truly made this a joy to read.

I don't know whether the world of secret shoppers that Julia Kent exposes here is for real and I don't really mind if it isn't. Whether the practices revealed here are true or not, the book is one hilarious roll of increasingly incredible secret shopping scenarios. But it also has its moments pathos that every single woman can relate to. A good Saturday night read for when you are, yet again, dateless.

I bought this boxed set because the reviews stated how funny it was. I laughed out loud twice. It was a cute book but not as funny as the reviews claimed. There were a few spelling errors but that wasn't important. I do plan on getting the next part in the series because I'd like to see how it will end. There was always some drama going on in this book so it was never boring.

Great series. JULIA is a great writer and I enjoy all her books. Hot, interesting, and identifiable characters. You will enjoy this booked set. I love sets better than reading one and then having to wait as I always read a book a night , so to have these five is great. No waiting.

This was my first experience reading Julia Kent but won't be my last. I absolutely loved this series. Can't believe I got part 1-5 for such a bargain. I am glad I got this series in this matter as I could not put my tablet down! It is romance but with a lot of humor. I have told all of my friends that it is a "must read".

Couldn't. Stop. Laughing. No matter how absurd, it was such a fun read and really enjoyable. The main character appeals to what I'd consider the 'average' woman, making her relatable. Sweet, funny, charming, hilarious series with more antics from the character and her family.

Hilarious! Found myself laughing out loud and reading passages to my husband while trying not to cry from laughing so hard. Then you have the sexy, sweet love between the two and it's just a feel good book. Look forward to reading more from this author!!

I really enjoyed this book for all the giggles and chuckles. I did have a hard time imagining our hero and heroine together. He's a buff, rich hunk and she is a size 16. I don't know anything else about her. So, it's kind of hard to imagine the two of them together.

Definitely buy the bundle if you want to read the series because each novella ends in a cliff hanger. Fun and interesting supporting characters and strong leads. I would not say it was laugh out loud funny but it is amusing.

I enjoyed the comedy. Sometimes the humor goes over the top, but for the most part it's great. I've enjoyed following this romance through the craziness of Shannon's family and her job. She seems to be what Declan needs to loosen up.

Hysterically funny laugh out loud series, I'm glad I bought and read this box set and I'm looking forward to the 6th book. Favorite line: "You can do it in a car. You can do it in a bar. You can do it with long hair. You can do it in the air. You can do it in a limo, you can do it-you're a bimbo!"

It was entertaining but predictable. The writing is good, the main character funny and likable. There was no real twists and turns, and the characters all remain pretty one-dimensional. It was a enjoyable, casual read, but nothing especially remarkable.

This box set goes through the story of Shannon and Declan... This set kept me laughing for about 85% of the time and wanting to kick Declan in the B**ls the other part of the time. Watching their story unfold with Shannon and her comedic timing for everything kept me intrigued so that I couldn't put it down and my coworkers kept wondering what I was laughing at all the time. All I can say is that I've loved everything I've read by Julia Kent and I'm downloading the last book "Shopping for a Billionaire's Fiancée" right now!!!

This book has everything you'll ever need. Romance, Love, Gorgeous people and the best surprise was that it was full of unexpected COMEDY!!! I've read a lot of books but I've never laughed this hard while reading a Love story. I mean I was seriously LOL. The Authors sense of humor is a treasure and I can't wait to read more from her genius imagination.
