I have read various Kay Hooper books and series, but this, by far, was the worst, most horrific one. I could never come up with some of the stuff she writes about. I won't spoil it for anyone, but there was so much suspense and mystery that I didn't have a clue. I normally can guess what's going on. This one blew my mind.

I was really disappointed in this book, especially after looking forward to a new book from her for so long. It was all fluff. The character developement was poor, I never felt a liking towards the main character at all. She was just kind of there, giving us information about her "dreams". The whole book was dedicated to her dream and then the dream she was having never even occured. I guess it was because the book ended as a (and I use this term VERY loosely) cliffhanger.
I didn't realize this book was the first in a trilogy, but even so the book was so unsatisfying. I'm not even sure I want to read the rest of the trilogy. Also, this book seemed so short. I found myself at the end and nothing had ever really happened. Looking at the book more closely I realized that the margins are really large and the type pretty large. The book should be half the size it is. What a waste of paper!
Hopefully Kay steps it up for her next book in the series or she will probably loose a lot of her loyal readers.

I really cannot understand the concept of this trilogy. The plot is total crap and contrived and poorly written. Can't say that I'm interested in reading anymore of Kay Hooper if this is typical of her writing.

I generally really appreciate this author's imagination. I love the Bishop series.
But this book was a big disappointment. There was no character development anywhere. The plot line was so thin it was hard to find, and mostly consisted of people sitting around talking about what they didn't know or wouldn't say. The dream sequence became so boring it felt like filler. The ending could hardly be called a climax, and it was so obviously a lead-in to sequels that it felt more like a commercial.
I think when the next book comes out I'll wait for the library copy to see if it has a little more substance.

Kay Hooper books are wonderful, no matter how short they are. I loved this story, and look forward to the next two books. My only problem with Kay Hooper books are that you wait way too long for the next one. I loved this book!!

there are no words to match the disappointment i feel after reading this book. First and foremost the editor should be fired. The multitude of mistakes in this book made it hard to read. The ending made the whole story seem like a prologue. i cant believe i waited a year for this.

I am going back through my collection of Kay Hooper books. This time via kindle. I still enjoy her books ever since I started reading them in the 1980s. They are timeless. I know some people may be put off by the definitely “dated” passages. But in my opinion (and having been a long time fan) those passages are like living in a different time. And reuniting with an old friend that is walking towards you.

Always a fan of Hooper's special crimes books and some of her more "supernatural" themed books.I don't really care for the romance novels she writes - cause all cheesy romances are all cheesy romances in my personal opinion - but her FBI crimes/Bishop series are pretty entertaining. I like some of the older mysteries she has also, like Finding Laura, After Caroline, and Haunting Rachel.

I have read books written by Kay Hooper for years, when she started the Bishop Special Crimes Unit books I fell in love. These books are very special, Bishop his wife Miranda and the whole crew make for a very good series. I hope Ms. Hooper puts Miranda's sister in a story, she is also special.

The story line was excellent and Dani Justice's internal conflict with her gifts, her desires for a world she cannot find, and reality were engaging enough to keep me reading to discover how she could manage to come to terms with the conflicts.
Other characters readers have come to know wandered in and out of the story, but didn't stay long enough to say hello. Not one of Hooper's best, but enough of the psychic world to keep us waiting for the next.
