This book is absolutely incredible!! My favorite series of all time is this series (besides Harry Potter, of course ;)! DEFINITELY NOT FOR KIDS UNDER THE AGE OF AT LEAST THIRTEEN YEARS WHO ARE VERY MATURE!!!!! Besides the fact that these books are very much so for adults and MATURE teens and are highly sexual and inappropriate, I still love these books!

I have been reading this series since Alyson Noel first published the books. I can't say I didn't like it because it was good, but... I really would of liked a little more spark, since this is the last book. About two-thirds into the book, I started wondering what else could she possible write about, what can happen next?? Like I said, I do not regret buying the book, very much enjoyed it, but its didn't exceed my expectations.

While I enjoyed this series, there are many parts that I find annoying. I noticed this writer does not write any strong female characters. We are all flawed, but they are dramatized and exagerated in her books. I am a strong woman and want to read about more strong female role models. We are not all weak, helpless, and stupid!

Ugh. Finally.
Sorry, I just had to say it. I loved Evermore, enjoyed Blue Moon, and then this series just went downhill for me. In Everlasting we finally have the completely predictable finale to the Immortals series. First, let me point out that the entire premise of the book is centred around Ever and Damen finding the antidote to Ever's poisonous DNA so that they can finally have sex. Don't believe me? It's even in the summary!
"..and experience the passionate night they've been longing for"
Ugh, so terrible.
So Ever and Damen embark on a journey, inspired by the ramblings of a seemingly crazy old lady that they find in Summerland. Here's what did not make sense to me:
Lotus (crazy old lady), is desperate for Ever to embark on her destiny's journey, as it will lead to her soul's redemption. Instead of putting it in layman's terms, so that Ever understands why its so important that she embarks on this journey, Lotus chooses to be mysterious and vague, which only adds to Damen's argument that she's just senile. We could have saved several chapters of Ever exclaiming that she feels "deep down" that Lotus is speaking the truth and Damen arguing that Ever is just unwilling to move on and be happy had Lotus just been a little clearer from the start. If this is something that she wants so desperately, why is she being so elusive about everything?
Lotus explicitly states that this journey is Ever's, and Ever's alone. She is the ONLY person who can embark on this journey. Then she lets Jude go with Ever. The Damen shows up and its now a 3-person journey. And then Lotus shows up and says that their paths are entwined, but that each has their own journey to follow. WTF? Again, had she just explained things in layman's terms...anyways, moving on.
We "get" to revisit Ever and Damen's first lives together, as Adelina and Alrik. I actually really enjoyed those chapters, but I couldn't help but think, what does this have to do with anything? Other then provide us with a semi-steamy sex scene, I didn't get much out of it.
After their first step on the journey is complete, Damen admits that Ever was right and that Lotus is not crazy - that she has been right all along. But later, when Lotus asks that Ever continue her journey to the Tree of Life, Damen's back on the Lotus-is-crazy-train and can't understand why Ever would want to complete her destiny. Unnecessary conflict to create suspense.
Damen is adamant about refusing to give up his immortality, even if it means restoring his karmic balance and restoring his true immortality, his soul's immortality. He goes to great lengths to make this point known. Noel goes to great lengths to give Ever lengthy speeches to convince him otherwise (where each speech starts with, "Damen, please hear me out"). Ever is about to walk away, and out of nowhere, Damen has changed his mind?! No speech to explain why, no emotional breakdown to explain his hesitance and then reluctant acceptance (other then he's scared of losing his "physical perfection and eternal youth" - so shallow). Just a hastily thrown together moment so we can get to the good stuff - the "passionate night" they've both been waiting for.
I think the thing that bothered me the most about Everlasting (and this series in general) is that I read every book in the series, and to be honest, I didn't have to! Noel spends so much time catching us up with the previous 5 books (not that much happened between books 3-5) that this book would probably be cut in half if you removed everything that was in reference to what had happened previously. I really wish this series had been a trilogy, because I think then I could have enjoyed it better.

Their epic love story has captured the hearts of millions and enchanted readers across the world. In this beautiful finale, their journey draws to a spectacular conclusion--where all will be revealed.
Their darkest enemies now defeated, Damen and Ever are free to embark upon their final quest--to free Damen from the poison lingering in his body. If they can just find the antidote, they'll finally be able to feel each other's touch--and experience the passionate night they've been longing for. But their fight to be together will lead them into the most formidable terrain yet...into the dark heart of Summerland. (sumary from Book and the store)
I have to say I really did enjoy this book,I have been a long time reader of Alyson's, and was sad to see this series end. And it did end nicely. I have enjoyed the whole series throughout its duration. All loose ends were tied. All questions, were answered, it had a lovely end to it.
The first chapter has a very strong beginning, the reader sees Ever and Damen struggling in Summerland to find answers. What I like about this is the pacing and the plot line. The pacing was perfect. It was awesome how we got to go back to certain points in their history and re-connect with the present. It answers a whole lot of questions that I have always wondered, plus then some. It gave us a much broader history on Ever and Damen's relationship. It was really nice being able to experience those past lives with them.
It really grabbed my attention to see these past lives, i mean, the ones we get to experience in this book are like OMG moments, we get some glimpses of them in the other books, but nothing like what we get to experience in this book.
The characters really became developed in this book, not stalled out like they seemed to be in previous books, they really grew in this one. I was pleased to see that. I was able to really connect with them.
If you haven't pick up this series you most definitely should! Not only will you fall in love with it, but it will give you an everlasting read worth reading. Am I happy with the way it ended? Yes. I think Alyson, did a great job on clearing everything she needed to clear up in order to finish the series. Way to go Alyson. Nice work.
Now Alyson has a new series out, and she has also put out a free short story, called Daire Meets Ever. Its free at the store in Kindle. It was so nice reading that scene where the new character in Fated meets Ever. So this has me hoping that maybe Alyson will have Ever and Damen pay the characters in the New Soul Seekers series (Fated is the first) a visit from time to time. That would be amazing.

Obviously I read this book because I read the other five, and just like the last three I wasn't overly impressed. Evermore and Blue Moon were both really good books and I found the series got a little boring after that. It seemed the same ideas were played out in a slightly different manner. This was no exception.
First Damen and Ever have never irritated me as greatly as they did in this book. Damen has always been stubborn and quick to blame himself for all their problems but it was kind of endearing, not true in Everlasting, he was stubborn to the point of blatant stupidity. So why, when he's given a chance at redemption does it take him so damn long to utilize it. The whole book he refuses see things in a different light and it drives me absolutely nuts. HELLO Damen, get with the program, You. Are. Wrong!
Ever just talks too much, you're waiting for details about the current situation to unfold, for her to shed some light on what's going on, and she rambles. Saying the same things over and over until you're about to shut the book and give up...Then and only then does she say something worth reading. Overall I think Damen and Ever strayed out of character so the story could be told a certain way, rather than it being their story it seemed forced.
In my opinion this series would have served better to be done in three, maybe four books, if you just couldn't compress the ideas and storyline, but I'm pretty confidant that you could. The series would have stayed exciting, upbeat and earned a much better review.
The book gets three stars because it's closure and I liked the very end of it. 3 out of 5.
P.S. Despite my not really enjoying this last installment I'll still miss Ever and Damen.

Everlasting is the 6th and final book in The Immortals Series and this is where Alyson Noel's creative and unique writing style really shows through. I was highly anticipating this book to see how it all ends and if Damen and Ever really do get a happily ever after and I have to say, Alyson delivered!
After finally seeing how it all started and why Damen and Ever have been forced to live so many lives apart, a great and twisted love story I might add, you see Ever embark on her greatest journey of all. As I've said before, I love how Ever has grown and evolved over the series and she's finally at a place where she's happy with herself and her destiny. Damen wasn't my favorite character in this book, mostly due to his stubbornness, but he did come through at times and I've never wavered on how much I enjoyed their relationship and love story.
What was probably the highlight of the book was the philosophical and spiritual theme that was present throughout the book. Although I'm not into that kind of stuff, Noel definitely left me thinking about life, true happiness, and what it all means. After attending the signing event for this book release and hearing Noel talk about how she researches thoroughly for all her books, I have to admit that it really shines through in this last one. All the characters learn some hard life lessons and come to terms with reality and "the way the world works".
Personally, I was in more for the love story and the paranormal side of it all, which kept me going, but I didn't mind the spiritual side of it and found it highly enlightening. Noel's writing truly stands out and I love that she adds depth and character to her stories. I also really loved all the characters she created in this series, even the ones I hated, and it's crazy to see how entwined all their lives really are once the story plays out. If you're a fan of the series, you won't be disappointed with this book. If you haven't read it, get on it!

Everlasting is the final book in the Immortals Series. I personally was hoping that it was better than some of the previous books. I loved reading the first book in this series. The others were alright. Some I loved and some were just ok, it got to be somewhat boring and frustrating along the way. I thought well I might as well read the last one and see how everything turns out.
It started off a little slow and was seeming to be the same old things happening. It picked up some and there were parts that I enjoyed reading. While in Summerland Lotus tells Ever to make this journey to find the tree which produces one piece of fruit every thousand years. Lotus tells them that Damon is not allowed to make the journey. He stays at home making the antidote. Jude however was part of the journey for some time and then takes off on his own path. I liked seeing the flash backs and learning of Ever and Damon in their beginning as Adeline and Alrik. I thought the whole journey for Ever took to much time in the book. I wanted more time of her and Damon and their friends.
For me I just thought it was ok. There is some romance and a little action but most of it was just boring to me. It mainly focused on Ever, and there wasn't much interaction with the other characters. While some of the characters in previous books I didn't care for I wished they were still around to liven this one up. I didn't care much for the ending either, was hoping for something different. If you have read the other books in this series than I would recommend reading this one to see how it all ends.

This is the final book in the Immortals series. I mentioned the series in this post. I wasn't sure I was going to love this series, but I really did end up enjoying it. In fact, I gave each book in the series 4/5 stars. The end was just right. I felt like I had closure with the characters but also left enough open to dream about what could be happening next. The plot kept you guessing what was going to happen and the characters were all believable. There were a few times where it did feel a bit cheesy, but I pushed through and am glad that I did. None of the books felt like the first one, which I am very grateful for.

Ever and Damen have one mission left before they can spend eternity as immortals in love. To save Ever's life; Damon changed her into an Immortal and contains lingering poison in his body. Thus they cannot touch one another as has an allergic reaction to his beloved.
Their quest is to find the cure to the toxin. They also have to resolve a difference on location. Ever wants to complete her destiny and unravel the remaining secrets including why something seems to want to keep her and her beloved apart. To do this they must enter the darkest region of Summerland; while Damen prefers to continue his current lifestyle that her trek would end.
Everlasting is a strong finish to the Immortals saga (see Shadowland and Dark Flame) after a slight letdown with Night Star's earth shattering secret. The story line combines a wonderful story line re the heroine's destiny with the continuation of the relationship issues between her and Damen. Series fans will enjoy the end to the Ever tales as Alyson Noel soars with this one.

I have read all of Alyson Noel's "Immortal Series" books. Of course nothing compares to her first two immortal books which were "Evermore" and "Blue Moon." But, I enjoyed the last installment of this series very much. I only rated the book four stars because I was hoping for A LOT more romance between Ever and Damen. It just seems like all they did throughout the book was fight. The ending also disappointed me a little. That was about all of the complaints I had about the final book though. It was a great book, and it really got your mind thinking due to the fact that there was lots going on in the book. All in all, good novel. You should positively go and pick it up at your local bookstore now, or buy it on the store right away!

Everlasting is the last book in The Immortal series and it has not disappointed. Alyson Noël has captured her audience through events that have been thoroughly described so that the reader can create a vivid image in their minds.
The two main characters, Ever and Damen, have been portrayed with such great personalities that the reader can tell that these two characters are meant to be together because they just fit so perfectly. However keeping with reality, Noël has also conveyed debate and disagreement between the characters like any other couple.
Everlasting is crammed full of adventure, destiny, friendship and most importantly love. I believe that Noël has perfected this book by creating tension, mystery and indecisiveness amongst the characters.
Following Ever and Damen through this series has been one of my best adventures, and I couldn't be happier with the ending. Alyson Noël is a true inspiration to everyone.

Everlasting is the sixth and final book in the Immortals series. I was pleasantly surprised by the story, especially after some of the previous books in the series leaving me wanting more. I did like Ever's adventure into the Shadowland and the realizations that she made. Ever seemed to step up this time around and stand by her convictions. Damen was a bit annoying to me as it seemed like he never wanted to listen to Ever. Overall, Everlasting had a good message and everything was tied up neatly.

Immortal has an interesting story line full of twist and turns. While the characters were beautifully created it was a little hard to get in to, but after a few chapters you begin to wonder why you ever even thought of stopping.

I liked this series, but this last book was outstanding. It had so many surprises and tied all the books together in a great way. This book answered all the unanswered questions throughout the series. This book was amazing. It makes me sad that the series is over now. There is a lot of imagination in this last book. It is so original.

Book was good but was very dissapointed in the ending ... not the choice I would have made. Was able to figure out the ending quite early in the book and had to push myself to continue to read since I knew the ending was not going to to be the "everlasting" that I would have wanted for myself if I was Ever. I guess in my mind I can imagine a Book 7 in which Damen can use his knowlege to change things back to the ending I was hoping for, although I know the author will be writing this book. I wish I had not started this series and invested the time in readng it or maybe I should have just skipped the last book and made my own happy ending instead.

I have also been reading this series since it first came out and I believe that the ending was rather good. But I wish their was more love between Ever and Damen at the end. If you have already started this series then you have to finish it with this novel. It has many twists and turns. It's also very suspenseful and mysterious. It's a perfect ending to for an outstanding couple. Damen and Ever will live on forever with these books.

I absolutely loved the ending. Will they have Everlasting Love? This is a fantastic conclusion to the series.
The book combines a wonderful story line; the heroine's destiny with the continuation of the relationship issues between her and Damen.
Worth it!

Finally the ending...this book was a huge step up from 4 and 5, I was getting a little annoyed of all the mistakes Ever would make lol. Everlasting was amazingly written and I loved the ending, I get the concept of Ever wanting to become mortal again with Damen. This book really tied all the loose ends together and that is why I gave it 5 stars ^_^
