A Rizzoli & Isles Novel - The Mephisto Club

Not one of her best, but interesting in a mythological way. There was little mystery and less detective work in the story. The police played a supporting role to the Mephisto Club. I wanted more of Jane and Maura.

I read for entertainment....this book becomes boring when there is endless instruction about biblical characters and events. Jane & Maura are not as interesting as in past books...all of the characters seem to be very flat.

I truly love Tess Gerritsen, but this book dragged a little for me. Just a little more detail of "the dark side" than I would have cared to read. Rizolli & Isles are my favorite team so I will read each and every book written that they headline.

I loved reading about the symbols and ancient beliefs. Also, the parts of the Bible that possibly can be connected to some of those beliefs.

I am always captivated by Tess Gerritsen's stories and this is no exception. One is kept in suspense with one murder after another taking the lives of a strange group of people who meet to discuss the world around them.

The Mephisto Club is a further evolution of the Rizzoli and Isles series. In this novel, the outside force for malevolence is a double agent within a group of self appointed experts. Maura is recruited by the experts group, but is hesitant. Maura and Jane work the murders from not only their medical and legal perspectives, but also from support of the experts and in opposition to them. Well plotted and great character development. Gerritsen at her best.

Where does Gerritsen come up with these themes?? Once again she keeps me reading late into the night with her fascinating stories. Just brilliant, this writer just never disappoints, your guaranteed a blockbuster every time.
