I absolutely adore this book! Even though I work out with a trainer this is a great reference for when I’m on my own. The workouts can be completed either at home or in a gym and they are great for any fitness level.

My favorite part of this book though is the illustrations. I’d love to get some bigger prints and hang them in my workout space as inspiration!

The exercises are good, but the routine is too long. I cut a few of the exercises at the end because I was out of gas and had already been going over an hour (not counting warm-up). But, anyone who says "You eat to live, you don't live to eat.", pg. 106, demonstrates ignorance of the multi-factorial causes of weight gain, an insensitivity to adults with weight issues and a myopic point-of-view i.e. if he doesn't have the problem, no one else does either. I'm sure the author has some 8 word solutions to the world's political problems as well. I was offended.

This is a great book on basic strength training, flexibility and balance work. What some reviewers are missing is that yes, it's a standard workout, but it's also the workout of a woman who is in her mid 80s. For those who are dismissing this, I ask you - can you do this workout? I would give this to anyone over 50 who is getting into fitness or returning to fitness.

As most people over 40 know, life happens and it can interrupt a healthy lifestyle. Maybe it's an injury. Maybe it's health issues. Maybe it's being a caregiver. Maybe it's having to work two jobs to pay the bills.

What's great about this book is that it shows a comprehensive and simple plan with pictures and good descriptions. It's doable for anyone who has mobility. Modifications are shown. It's small enough to tuck into a backpack for a trip.

It shows what can be done at a gym, and more importantly, what can be done at home. Some of the at-home exercises are done with bands, so you can pack those bands and stick with your fitness plan while traveling.

As another reviewer suggestion, a spiral bound book would have been better, but that may add to the cost.

This is a great little book for anyone needing fitness inspiration. If RBG can do it, why can't you?

This book is an inspiration, am not giving 5 stars as needed to be a spiral bound book to lay flat as a little bit of a pain to try and keep it open while following instructions. Hope the publishers will see this note and make next addition to lay flat.

This is a great strength workout to help you rehab after a surgery or injury or as a regular workout for the older adult! I plan to gift my mom a copy of this book with hope that with practice and work she will be able to do these exercises. This is a great workout to work every muscle group in the body. This would be a great mothers day gift for your elderly mother or grandmother. This could help grandpa too! As a public health professional, I highly recommend this!!!
