The President's Shadow (The Culper Ring Series)

I like Brad's charaters and the historicity of what he writes. I loved the story line and have to say that I was truly sad to see Clementine 's demise. IT will be interesting to see where he goes next.

I read the first two Culper series books and thought it would explain a lot of unexplained happenings, instead I got more of the same. Too many characters with not enough character development. The story was all over the place and extremely hard to keep track of who was the hero and who was the enemy.

The book moves entirely too slowly. He keeps switching back and forth from the past to the present and the story begins to get boring. I like to read books that I don't want to put down. I was able to leave this one and come back to it many times because I hate not to finish a book.

I enjoyed this story very much...understanding that this was a work of fiction...you also wonder how much truth there is to the question of weather the Culper ring still exist...and if so ... how active or what roll if any does it play ....

Very good fast paced read. If you loved the other two books as much as I did then this is definitely a must.
Brad Meltzer has once again put out a story that has a fast paced feel, and very surprising twists that very much lived up to my expectations and left me wishing that he could write these novels faster so I could experience this world even more.
In conclusion the book is a great read that will leave you wanting more.

Very different take on the history surrounding the presidency, very creative. Tends to bog down on occasion trying to keep everything connected but a good read. Waiting to see how the storyline develops
