I have been waiting for this book since I ended Jax! It was so worth the wait!! Author Kym Grosso did not disappoint Jake and Kai story like no other in the series. Kai is so different from all the other characters. Yes she is a shifter but something new something we were just introduced to in Jake. She is a fascinating creature.

Jake is an alpha no matter how much he doesn't want to accept that fact!! Kai is going to test him with everything she has and this makes for some extremely hot and explosive scenes. When you throw Quintus in the mix yes more and more twist! Just when you think you have it all figured out BOOM!! You're wrong.

This was my first paranormal series I ever read and it cause me to love PNR. If you have t read this series please go now. This book can be read as a standalone but you get so much more out of it by reading the series.

JAKE by Kym Grosso! I am a bonafide Immortals of New Orleans fanatic and waited patiently (NOT) for this release and I must say, it was so worth the wait! Jake and Kai ...... OMG, such heat! I held me breath more reading this, sat on the edge of my seat and cried!!!!! This is a love story, a mystery and an adult read beyond my expectations! I will not give any hints but to say I LOVED IT! And Kym's choice of a cover model was spot on! Reading this, Travis WAS Jake and made the read even better!!!!!!!! LUCA # 1 and Jake just pushed Dimitri to #3!!!!!!! GREAT READ!!!!!!!!!

4.5 stars-- JAKE is the eighth installment in Kym Grosso’s contemporary, adult IMMORTALS OF NEW ORLEANS paranormal romance series. This is wolf shifter/reluctant alpha Jake Louviere, and Kai Beckett’s story line. JAKE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty although I recommend reading the series in order for backstory and history. Any important information from previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Jake and Kai) JAKE follows several intersecting paths including the building relationship between wolf shifter Jake Louviere, and Kai Beckett. Kai Beckett is an unknown supernatural being but her presence in New Orleans calls to Jake’s inner wolf –a wolf that believes Kai is their mate. But Kai’s appearance in Jake’s life is no mistake as our heroine is searching for her sister-a woman who has been abducted by the very people hoping to steal Kai’s magical powers- and Kai believes that the Acadian wolves may have some knowledge about the people involved. With Jake’s help, and the ancient vampire Quintus Tullius, Kai comes into her powers as the search for her sister intensifies. What ensues are the building relationship between Kai and Jake, and the potential fall out when the trio are attacked on their hunt for Kai’s sister.

Jake Louviere is a reluctant alpha-an alpha wolf shifter who refuses to acknowledge his growing power and his need to command, while still under the leadership of Logan Reynaud. While Jake, Kai, and an ancient vampire named Quintus traverse North America in search of Kai’s sister, they learn to trust one another and establish a loyal relationship. Their wary affiliation eventually becomes a binding connection that leads to some incredibly erotic relations.

This fast-paced and action-packed book is easy to devour. Ms. Grosso’s stories can be read as standalone books, however, each book contains references to characters and events from prior books (just as each epilogue has an intriguing lead in to the next installment).

While the paranormal story could be perfect for readers of all ages, the inclusion of erotic scenes makes Ms. Grosso’s Immortals of New Orleans an adults-only series.

Another hot and steamy book from the immortals of new Orleans series.... so worth the wait! Shifters, vampires, witches, demons sand something new make for a hot and interesting story. If you enjoy fun, sex, adventure and fast paste books. There should be a place for more than 5 stars. This book and series deserves more.

JAKE is the 8th installment in Kym Grosso's IMMORTALS OF NEW ORLEANS series...It was adventurous, engrossing, humorous and sizzling. Kym Grosso did a marvelous job. Can't wait for what comes next.

Hot Hot Hot ???. Not for the faint of heart. Lots of steamy scenes. Lots of action and suspense. Love this new creature. Kym introduces us to, a new to me creature. Lovely and fierce. Kai needs Jake to help her rescue her sister. As they are battling a Vampire to get her back. Quintus goes with them. Some very surprising scenes take place. Great read. Thoroughly enjoyed this book! Another winner. Paranormal at its best. Grips you from first to last page. Jake, a wolf meets Kai a Pixiu (never heard of one) and the adventure begins. Danger,vampires,wolves,demons,laughs,tears,hot sex scenes,and everything in between. Love that other Alphas from previous books make appearances. The teaser at the end about Quintus was great.

Been waiting for this book for what seems like ages. Jake is a character that has appeared in several book in the series Immortals of New Orleans and he grew on me.

Several characters from the other books make an appearance and help Kai and Jake and we also get to know Quin a lethal and sexy Vampire who is along the journey to help both Kai and Jake.
I loved the story and how it developed and can't wait for the next Chapter of the Immortals of New Orleans.

Oh what an amazing novel. I kinda jumped into the middle not having read previous books that helped with geting the backstory on all of these characters, but boy oh boy I loved this book.

It is full of adventure and mystery that unfolds as you read it. Its full of demons, vampire's, wolves, witches and some various mystical creatures that nobody really knows what they are.

Jake what a strong powerful wolf that struggles with his dominant Alpha side struggling not to challenge his alpha in his home of new orleans when he meets Kai a strange different creature that helps him grown into the alpha hes meant to be.And omgosh his character is full of yummyness.

Oh and Kai, she has hidden for centuries afraid of everything supernatural. She comes out of hiding and meets Jake and they go on this amazing adventure to save her sister and a adventure in finding eachother and love along the way.

This author is an absolutely amazing writer. She definitely knows how to pull you into a plot and create a story that anyone will love.

A must read for anyone into supernatural erotica.

This series just gets better and better with each book!!!

It seems like fans have been waiting forever for this book but it was so worth the wait!!! Jake's story is a bit unique in this series, but so much the better for the difference! From the very beginning we are drawn in and held captive until the very last page!

Jake just wants to be what he has always been, an Acadian wolf with no ties to anything but his pack. But Fate has other ideas for him, no matter how hard he fights! His story will take us from the bayous of Louisiana to New Orleans, all the way to the West Coast. Lots of unexpected twists and turns along the way!!!

Come along for the ride of your (or Jake's) life. Whether this is your first book in the series or you've read every one, you won't be able to put it down until the very last page!!!

Oh, and that epilogue!!!! WOW!!!!
