Kurt Wallender is again very interesting in sidetracked. Through his unusual intuition he is again able to solve the mystery and find the killer. It is a good book that makes you want to turn the page.

Whether from the corner of an office meeting room or a mirror in a damp basement, the reader enjoys an interesting point of observation in this tale. Once invested, it becomes impossible to walk away.

I chose this series because a West Point classmate of mine recommended it. I like this type of detective series with characters that seem real with their own challenges and weaknesses. I also appreciate the opportunity to get a feel for Sweden and its people.

Sidetracked is possibly the best of the 4 Kurt Wallander Mysteries I've read so far. I'm about half way through the book and have to force myself to stop reading; a definite page turner! I highly recommend this book and plan to read the rest of the Kurt Wallander Mysteries.

For people who enjoy a good thriller by Henning Mankell this will be a real treat. Keeps you turning the pages; thrilling and scary! I really like the Wallander series of books, and highly recommend "Sidetracked".

After reading Stieg Larson's Millenium series I was stuck hoping for a lawsuit to sort out when the next book was going to rock my world from Sweden. Then along came Henning Mankell and Detective Wallander. The series is top notch story telling. Simple, beautiful and absolutely engaging. Have been reading these in order and love them. Also, have checked out the BBC series and have been impressed with the showa. A+ !

I have read all the Kurt Wallander mysteries in order up until this one I have found them really engrossing (especially "The White Lioness" and was keen to start on this one. I am still reading it (about 75% through it) and will finish it as I never leave a book unread, especially mysteries which I love, But I am not enjoying it much at all. It is very long and drawn out and the character of Kurt is starting to annoy me. HIs private life seem to be going nowhere. I don't think he is all that good a detective either. Maybe it is something to do with Swedish writers. Can I suggest, if anyone hasn't already, try Peter James' Roy Grace series. They are a bit more bitey. Don't get me wrong, it is still a good read, but ........ !!

The book "Sidetracked: A Kurt Wallander Mystery (5)" was good to read, sometimes a little disturbing but a well thought out plot. The English language is rather unsophisticated.
